Wow... It was obviously a building that was something else before. My first thought it that it might have been a Children's Palace / Child World toy store with the castle design. Edited by PaulKTF, May 14 2016, 10:38 AM.

No, just no. Child World/Children's Palace closed in 1992. Showbiz Pizza Time had already gotten rid of the Pizza Time Theatre branding by then. My guess is that a PTT franchise owner bought out a bankrupt medieval-themed tourist trap, and with some alterations, made that unique PTT. And if it's still there today, but now a Chuck E. Cheese's, we'd have CEC fans flocking to videotape everything in the store. |

It could have been a store that closed before then.

Let us study the license plates in the picture. Or we could contact Jeffrey Blackler, the photographer, and ask him where the photo was taken so we can go there and solve the mystery. Edited by Brian the Helenman, May 14 2016, 11:56 AM.

The photographer, judging there is only one Jeffrey Blackler that does photography, actually lives in London. And the photo appears to be from Connecticut, due to the license plate's colors. |

It seems to say "New York" on some of the license plates. |

Lots of New Yorkers are in CT and Lots of Nutmegers are in NY. We have a list of the PTTs in CT and New York circa 1983 so i'm sure we can find it. Maybe If anyone knows about the car models and when that's from that can help. We have a lot of variables. |

The second car from the left is a Chevette hatchback. My parents had one for a short time when I was a kid. The ones with those tail lights were made from 1983 to 1985. So 1982 would be the earliest, since model years come out about 6 months before the beginning of the year. ![]() Edit: On further reading it looks like it could be as early as a 1980. I'm leaning more toward 1982 though due to the logo on the building. I think all the other cars in the shot are '70s models, though. I know I've seen them all but can't think of the names offhand. Still, this location would have to be on the list of stores from 1983. Edited by 80sgirl, May 16 2016, 06:02 AM.
