I came across these two commercials for a Fame City (a now defunct family arcade/entertainment center) that used to be in Memorial City Mall in Houston, TX, and the Wolf Pack 5 is shown in very brief clips! I've never heard or seen anything about this before and I can't confirm if they were really there or perhaps just used for the commercial or something. They're both dated 1989. Does anyone know anything about this? Commercial #1 (WP5 seen at 0:22) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1XZilE6a6w Commercial #2 (WP5 seen at 0:14) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDtBPpfOhNE |

Just saw those commercials, the voice over is done, I think, by Ken Nordine, best known for the voicing in Taster's Choice TV commercials in the 1970's and 1980's. |

The place itself is now funplex and based on the stage that still exists there (characters gone), they were at one time at this place. I believe that this show is the one form Montreal and may also be the one featured in the picture with the pink suited wolfman. I'm pretty sure. |

No, a guy who owns a logging operation in Tennessee or some other state owns the Wolfman bot. |

Actually, these ads are for a Fame City that was inside the Memorial City Mall in Houston, TX at one point. It has since been demolished during an extensive remodel of the mall. There was another Fame City location in Houston, TX that was not part of this mall, and that location still stands today as Funplex. They have a large stage in the middle of the food court area which was once used for live performances, which can be seen at 2:54 and 3:50 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fVFiZk9wFc I don't know if a Wolf Pack 5 was ever installed on that stage or if there was even a Wolf Pack 5 at this location at all. I did, however, visit this Funplex a few months back, and it's a really cool looking place. There's a lot of stuff to do and it looks largely unchanged from the late 1980s. No sign of a WP5 from what I remember though. |
