Seeing as certain members on here are making 13-15 posts a day (which is completely unnecessary by any standard tbh) I believe there should be a post limit for users on here. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being an active member, but when you're bumping 30 ancient topics a day it gets a little trying for the more mature members on here. Perhaps if one's post per day are averaged out for like the entire week, and if a certain average is like obscenely high, perhaps posting privileges could be limited in some way. Edit: I have noticed that some users are getting annoyed at others for making posts that aren't helpful, or not like contributing in a very useful way, but I believe it is appropriate if the answer is truly unknown and if the person responding gives an explanation why. Let's all know the difference between what a valid post/response and one that isn't. Edited by emi, Jun 16 2016, 09:01 PM.

Whats the point of a spam section if we have a post limit. We already have an edit limit. |

Then again some threads lack activity and participation. I think it should be done as a punishment to temporarly limit posts for an user if his contributions are not helpfull or thread related. That way you don't ban them but you reduce spam posting but still allow people who do have a lot to bring in to post. |

Spam posts should be deleted. They aggravate me thinking it's a new topic but it hasnt been talked in since June 2015 and what they say has no value. It makes me feel bad for the older folks on here because they're on here to not deal with petty and spammy things in the fandom. It really makes the forum look unprofessional. I think if people report or it comes to the attention of the staff it could be a punishment. Like what masterpj said above.

ehh maybe it depends on how old the post is like if its 2-4 months old i can see that i suppose but if its a important topic i dont think it should matter that much. |

I'm going to go ahead and revive this thread. After going on this forum pretty much every day I've slowly had an incline of anger towards replies that are similar to "okay" or add just completely nothing to a thread. Of course, not all of us do this and it's okay to do this once in a while, but I see repeat offenders that post pretty much the same thing on multiple threads. I feel like flipping sides from what I originally said and I'm leaning towards agreeing with the OP's view on this subject. |

I agree with reviving this thread a little. There's been an influx of a particular user [I'm not gonna name any names but I'm sure we all know who it is] posting only to post about their fetish [at least it seems like a fetish and goes by the name of a popular fetish] and that person really needs to be given a limited number of posts so they learn to use their posts in a less "making the other members uncomfortable" way. Emi's point above is also a very good point as well, for all people opposed to this idea would deny it's an issue enough for a post limit, it's true there's a problem that needs to be solved. Maybe not IMMEDIATELY, but at SOME point. Edited by Poprock Balboa, Jul 4 2016, 11:40 AM.

I think perhaps people don't realize the difference between like a chat/text/messenger website/software and a forum. I believe a forum and it's posts require some sort of substance to them, they shouldn't be similar to chat messages, because forums are used for discussion. By chat messages I mean like really short phrases like "wow" "lol" "okay" "yeah" if these types of posts comes from a user often, it simply looks to me that the user desperately wants to get their post counter up. |

I completely agree with Mr. Ruxpin's statement. There's only really been one user to get under my skin as of recent, and I don't really post all that often anyway. |

Yeah same. I wonder if we are thinking of the same offender. You would think that they'd learn that it's not an okay thing to do. This isn't like a huge issue that is jeopardizing this entire website, it's just really annoying when you click on a thread thinking that someone would have a very nice response to a good topic but instead it's "Hmm yeah IDK lol" |

Who would waste a post saying that he or she could of said something not just ... I don't get some of the users of this form. You have mature adults, Immature adults, Immature kids, and the small amount of mature kids. But I don't get why some users have to say um or something on a page. yes sometimes I make Cringy jokes and I regret them. But I'm trying to change |

Eh, I respectfully disagree. I see your point as some people may want to boost their post count but sometimes people really are contributing when they have a large amount of posts per day. However spamming the forums is unacceptable |

I didn't really agree with the post limitation. If I did I'd say, “Yeah, let's limit how much someone can post” or something like that. But I wasn't trying to directly agree with it. Sorry if you guys mistook it as such. But I really didn't mean that we should add a post limit for everybody. I was just saying what might help or something... *shrugs*
