Hello everyone! This weekend, my family and I went to pick up a Helen Henny Cyberamic. I will be restoring her to her original state. Her cosmetics were made in around July of '83. She has different cosmetics than the normal 80s Helen. There are no feathers, her eye "makeup" is different and she has... shoulders? I'll post some pictures. The seller had her for a wing restaurant he owned. His friend gave it to him in '85 after a store closed and he got the whole stage. The seller also said that all of the cosmetics were original and have never been replaced. The bot was originally made sometime in '82. I'm just wondering if the cosmetics are on wrong, but I tried putting them on lots of different ways and the way I have them on now seems to fit best, except it's a little tight on the back metal bar that spans across her shoulder width. The velcro that holds on her hair had fallen off of her head and been glued. Should I get someone to sew it back on properly? They also used safety pins to hold the mat attached to the velcro onto her hair... I'll come back to that later. Lots of jewelry was glued onto the foam. Is there a way I should go about taking that glue off? There's also a netting inside her cosmetics on the foam that keeps getting caught on the fingers and torn, and her fingers were so sharp and broken that I had to take the hands off until I fix the fingers from flopping. She's alright mechanically, but I'll be getting to that in a while. If you have any clues about her cosmetics, please let me know. More posts coming soon. |

Technically all guest stars had shoulders (notice the bar in the back), but I never seen ones like that. I wonder if Jul Kamen has a e-mail? You could ask her why. |

First off, I would like to say CONGRATS! Good thing a fan found this old cluck! Also I think it's weird how this Helen doesn't have any feathers; Also she seems to be missing the foam breast, but I may be wrong. Good luck on restoring her! |

Well wait...didn't early cyberamics have glued heads? As in, it was glue weak enough to come apart if somebody wanted to pull it off but strong enough to last on the cyberamic's head? Or was the head always velcro? |

Mechanism pictures coming soon. Her head has Velcro. Her head has the '83 date on it, leading me to believe the glue was for even earlier ones. However the seller may have added Velcro. Either way, I like the Velcro better to hold her head on. Most Velcro is being replaced anyways as it is worn out. You're probably right. The glue on mine must've worn out. She has Velcro stapled on. Hope I didn't mislead anyone. Here's some more pictures. Cosmetics coming off soon. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ebt31c606ns8kfj/AABHi9zqMKpjP3mzwF8olriva?dl=0 Edited by PTT and RAE, Apr 10 2017, 06:35 PM.

Alright everyone. Today I opened up Helen, and found some problems. Her body turn mechanism needs to be fixed (Not too hard). However, the plate holding the head lift cylinder broke where the plate holding her head gets thicker. That will need a whole new weld, and it needs to be done right. The previous owner welded it wrong and then tried to cover it up. I'll have more pictures in my Dropbox folder, with another link in this post. Attaching pictures normally isn't working out... More to come soon. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ebt31c606ns8kfj/AABHi9zqMKpjP3mzwF8olriva?dl=0 |

Looks like it has the normal shoulder bar. Weird that it looks different with the cosmetics on. |

The cosmetics have added shoulders that don't rest on anything. There are foam circles near the sleeves that go over the shoulder circles |

In the mech or cosmetics? She has arms in the mech but the hands have been taken off to be repaired. Her costume has arms but are just hard to see from that angle. Not as of yet, but I hope to have some more one day. Edited by PTT and RAE, Apr 11 2017, 06:17 PM.
