Hello everyone! This weekend, my family and I went to pick up a Helen Henny Cyberamic. I will be restoring her to her original state. Her cosmetics were made in around July of '83. She has different cosmetics than the normal 80s Helen. There are no feathers, her eye "makeup" is different and she has... shoulders? I'll post some pictures. The seller had her for a wing restaurant he owned. His friend gave it to him in '85 after a store closed and he got the whole stage. The seller also said that all of the cosmetics were original and have never been replaced. The bot was originally made sometime in '82. I'm just wondering if the cosmetics are on wrong, but I tried putting them on lots of different ways and the way I have them on now seems to fit best, except it's a little tight on the back metal bar that spans across her shoulder width. The velcro that holds on her hair had fallen off of her head and been glued. Should I get someone to sew it back on properly? They also used safety pins to hold the mat attached to the velcro onto her hair... I'll come back to that later. Lots of jewelry was glued onto the foam. Is there a way I should go about taking that glue off? There's also a netting inside her cosmetics on the foam that keeps getting caught on the fingers and torn, and her fingers were so sharp and broken that I had to take the hands off until I fix the fingers from flopping. She's alright mechanically, but I'll be getting to that in a while. If you have any clues about her cosmetics, please let me know. More posts coming soon. |

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts. I just have a small update because as of now the weld is on hold. This is because the breaker in the house cannot hold the amperage the welder needs. However, I have a new air tube that leads from the compressor to the port which leads to the solenoids. I also got a new pressure regulator so Helen can operate fully at the proper air pressure (see pictures 9-11 in attached link)! More posts to come whenever more progress is made. Check this topic periodically if you want to stay posted. Pictures Folder |

I would recommend to run your Helen around the same air pressure as this video. Sorry for the bad filming. |

Here's some documents that might help you Setting the Standard. This guide tells you how to clean cosmetics (including eyes) and mechanisms and what to use. (This is a newer one but still might work) (PTT) Cosmetic Guide. This one is the older one and has a (cosmetic) parts list included. Cyberamics Part manual. This will tell you all the parts (of all characters) and any details too. Theatrical Standards Manual+Supplement Material (two separate links). These will help you with installations (guest star to guest star, etc.). Technician Manual. This will help you maintain your .

Alright everyone! Some more progress has been made. I've discovered that there was an additional fabric layer over the beak, changing the color. I've removed that and her beak is now back to normal. (see pictures 12 and 13 in attached link). I found material to make feathers for her, too. I'm cleaning the fabric for her cosmetics as well. The weld is coming soon, and I'm airing her up this weekend. 80sgirl and Slappy have brought some interesting information to my attention, but I'm not going to share it until it's confirmed, and until I get more information. I also found out my Helen was in a movie in the late 1980s! If anyone knows of a movie with a Helen in it then tell me! Pictures Folder The restoration is nearing completion! |

It's going great! Cosmetics are nearly done, we just need to attach her feathers. Her neck is being welded this Friday as I finally found someone who can weld aluminum. As soon as she is finished I will program her with a HauntBots controller. If I ever decide to, I will bleach the terry cloth but for now it's just fine. When she's done I will post pictures. |

Hello everyone! Sadly, Helen's neck was not welded but will be Monday. We found a simple way to attach the feather material, so that will be done soon too. Other easy fixes have been completed, such as moving incorrectly replaced air hoses. I'll be adding more pictures to my Dropbox folder soon so keep an eye out for that, and if you want any special pictures let me know! |

Hello! Big news today. Helen was finally welded, and her head tilt and body turn finally work properly! I also polished most of the aluminum so now she's much shinier and cleaner looking. I've updated the Dropbox folder so you can see all of that. Her feathers are getting attached today also. Within about a week she should be finished, and after that I'll need to get a HauntBots controller. Otherwise, she's nearing completion! |

Woah! How did you get Helen feathers? Is there some simple way I just don't know about or was it hard? |

Helen is nearly done! As I said last time, all that’s left are her feathers and controlling. I’ll post a video in my Dropbox folder of her progress. Stay tuned! |

If she's done, make her sing the songs from the CEC Grammy Rewards Show from May 1988. |

You might not want to use those valves... they´re not as good as the Mac Valve brand as used with the Rock-afire. I personally would recommend switching those valves out for Mac Brand ones as currently used by CEC Cyberamics. Excited to see the progress! |

Helens valves dont work the same, they are 3 way with incredibly low power consumption. |
