“Okay, we can do that.” Munch agreed, looking at Pasqually as April nodded in agreement, “Besides, how bad could it be to have us having a little eating competition segment with me and April?” Munch was sitting behind a table with April, the curtains closed on them. “You ready for this segment?” He asked her, smiling at her. April smiled back and nodded her head in agreement. “Yes!” She said as they heard the crowd on the other side of the curtains chanting Chuck E.'s full name. “Okay, guys!” They both heard Chuck's voice coming from a loudspeaker, “You ready to see a new segment we'd like to introduce you to?!” The crowd cheered louder and got a little wild. “Well HERE it is!!” Chuck announced as the curtains began to open. “Where's Pasqually?” Munch asked, looking at April, “Isn't he...supposed to be out here?” April shrugged. Suddenly as if on cue Pasqually came rushing out of the kitchen and was now backstage with the two. “Sorry to keep you waiting.” Pasqually said as he set several pizzas down on the table in front of Munch and April, “Did I miss anything?” Munch and April just shook their heads. “Good.” Pasqually said with a sigh of relief before the curtains were open all the way, revealing the three. “Presenting... Pasqually, Mr. Munch and April!” Chuck announced, as the audience gave them a huge round of applause. April gave a little bow in her seat as Munch giggled and copied her. “Take it away, Pasqually!” Chuck added, looking at Pasqually with a smile. “Well this segment is to see who could eat the most pizza, in one sitting!” Pasqually explained, looking out at the crowd with a smile, “Unfortunately, there is no winner and no loser, so...yeah... I...hope you all enjoy!” Before anyone could say “go” to start things off, Munch and April had already started eating, quickly scarfing down every morsel of pizza on their plates, leaving nothing behind as they ate. I just decided there would be no winner for this just to avoid them pushing themselves too far. Pasqually thought, watching the two scarf down their food and seeing it quickly begin to disappear, Besides, we don't want them to hurt themselves! However, after fifteen minutes, the two were gradually starting to feel full, and they had slowed down. “It seems they're gradually beginning to feel full!” Pasqually announced as both Munch and April were no longer smiling and had expressions on their faces to show it. A few minutes passed and Munch had already set his pizza down in defeat, and April noticed this, deciding to show that she could eat a little more than Munch, her feeling competitive. She knew she had eaten as much as Munch could because she had a small breakfast that morning, and though she was stuffed she just had to show everyone she could eat more. She dropped her pizza after her final few bites and groaned as she sat back in her chair and began to rub her stomach. She slightly smirked at Munch who, too, was rubbing his stomach as he sat back in his seat. “And April is now the champion!” Pasqually announced happily as the crowd started chanting her name. I... I — she hiccupped — I did it! She thought proudly, as Munch just smiled at her. “Wow...” He began, smiling at her, “How do you do that!?” April smiled back at him. “Not eating a very big breakfast, that's how!” April replied, still smiling at him, “Plus I had to force myself to take those last few bites...” Her stomach then grumbled, causing her to think twice about the decision she made. “Though that was probably a bad idea because now” — her stomach began to hurt, causing her to wince slightly — “it hurts.” Munch laughed. “That's because you pushed yourself a little too hard.” He said, still smiling at her though he felt a little concerned about her. As they were busy talking they didn't notice Pasqually talking to the audience, but the last part of Pasqually's speech they managed to hear, and they didn't like the sound of it, either. “...And be sure you come back tonight as Munch and April will be competing against each other again! This time, with dessert included.” The audience cheered. “No, no, no dessert!” Munch told him, but the audience's cheering drowned out his words, causing Pasqually to not hear him. “I can't believe” — Munch felt sick as his cheeks puffed out at the thought of dessert being added, somehow managing to stifle a burp despite feeling a little sick due to the thought — “he's gonna make us d-dessert, too...” His cheeks puffed out once more as he covered his mouth with one hand, trying not to think about it. Yeah we're stuffed... April thought, feeling a little sick herself at the thought of food, If he thinks we're gonna stuff ourselves with pizza AND dessert, he's wrong! “C'mon, guys!” Pasqually said as he walked up to the stuffed monsters, April being a bit overstuffed due to being competitive with Munch, “It's time for the next segment so we have to go.” “Uh, Pasqually?” Munch asked as he looked at the chef, a hand on his stomach, “I... I don't think we can get up after that. Besides” — he patted his slightly distended stomach — “if you feed us dessert after we eat a whole lot of food later like we just did, the dessert and pizza might end up everywhere. And that wouldn't be pretty...” “Yeah, it wouldn't be...” April agreed, patting her own stomach, “I mean, there's a certain amount of food we can eat before feeling like we can't possibly eat anymore. I know you say we can eat anything and everything, but...that's a metaphor. There is a limit we can reach before we feel we can't possibly eat anymore and feel like if we did, well...you know, it's not gonna be a pretty sight.” “Yeah Pasqually...” Munch agreed, beginning to lightly pinch a small amount of his body fat, “As much as we wanna eat all day, we can't.” As he finished speaking he let go of the small amount of fat and again rested his hand on his stomach. “Well I suppose I can give you half pizza, half dessert if you want!” Pasqually said with a shrug as he picked up the last few plates since he'd started cleaning up as they started talking to him, “Besides, the audience loves you guys!” “Yeah but it's more like we're being treated like a freakshow...” Munch muttered, rolling his eyes. Yeah I agree. April thought as she gave a small nod in agreement with what Munch was saying. “What?” Pasqually asked, not quite hearing Munch and giving him a confused look. “I said, 'Yeah but it's more like we're being treated like a freakshow'.” Yeah it is. April thought while giving a nod in agreement. “What are you guys saying?” Pasqually asked, a shocked look on his face. “We're saying that you doing this segment is like... Like treating us like monsters in a freakshow! It's like, 'Oh, look how much more they can eat than another'!” Munch argued, now feeling a bit annoyed as he crossed his arms, “I mean, I don't mind doing this segment, but...if you're trying to stuff dessert into us too, we quit.” “I'll give you both pizza and dessert.” Pasqually explained, “But it'll have to be half pizza and half dessert if we want to add dessert.” “Can we please enjoy a decent pizza dinner without stuffing ourselves?” Munch asked, slightly glaring at Pasqually as he felt more annoyed now, and a little upset, “We can do this segment every day if you want, but not for three meals a day.” “But I already told them-” “Tell them that there's been a change of plans and that they could come back tomorrow!” April said, beginning to stroke Munch's stomach fur from where she was sitting since she was right next to him, also feeling a bit annoyed since Munch was the leader and not Pasqually, “Munch and I want nothing to do with the dinner thing.” Pasqually sighed. “Fine, I'll tell them...” He said before turning back to the audience as Munch and April both got up, feeling less stuffed. “Sorry, folks!” Pasqually said, now turned back towards the audience, “They don't wanna do it.” The crowd awww'd, and as Munch and April both entered the kitchen they heard it. Sorry guys... Munch thought, rubbing his arm, I-I just don't wanna do it. Once a day is okay, but...more than once? No thanks! Once a day is good! Later that night at dinner, Munch wasn't eating, just moving the pizza around on his plate with his finger. “You okay Munch?” April asked, seeing that Munch had only taken a bite out of his pizza before deciding to play with it. “Yeah, it's just...” He sighed, glancing up at April with just his eyes, “It's just what happened earlier between us and Pasqually... But we're not... We're not show monsters. I mean, sure it's okay to do a segment based on how much we can eat, but...giving us dessert after all that yummy pizza is, well... It's wrong, right?” “Yeah it is.” April said with a nod, “Well, we're in show business, so I guess we are show monsters in that sense, but...yeah... We shouldn't be treated as a talent act or whatever. All we wanna do is just...be normal most of the time. ...Or, well, sometimes.” “You know, speaking of being normal” — Munch sighed — “I... I think I sometimes wish I could be just a normal kid... Like, we're the youngest of this group and we now live together instead of with our parents due to the money we saved...and, all of this fame is good and all, but...there's lots of autographs to sign and lots of fans that could get disappointed, like earlier when we said we wouldn't eat anymore, just once a day...” “Yeah I guess you are right...” April said, putting her pizza back down on her plate and resting her elbows on the table, her head resting on her palms, “No matter how good it is to be a celebrity, sometimes I guess it's better to... To just be normal. But at least you make lots of money for a celebrity. And that's a good thing...” “And being a kids' band doesn't include paparazzi, either.” Munch said, slightly smiling at April. “Unless it can - or does - and we unintentionally scare them off.” He added as a joke before laughing a bit, “But at least there's no paparazzi...” “Or celebrity gossip, right?” April asked, smiling at Munch, “Well since we're together there could be some celebrity gossip going around, but not much.” “Yeah, besides, what would they say about us?” Munch asked, smiling back at her, “Leader of Munch's Make Believe Band Unintentionally Makes Girlfriend a Celebrity Due to Breakup?” Munch laughed a bit after saying this, and April giggled. “Or April Soon to Become Rising Star After Sad Breakup with Leader of MMBB?” April added, “Yeah, I doubt celebrity gossip could happen with us.” “Yeah...” Munch said with a smile as he picked up his slice of pizza to resume eating it, “Besides, the only celebrity gossip that would be goin' 'round is, Leader of Munch's Make-Believe Band Eats World's Largest Pizza or somethin'. And that would be a miracle if I could at least do that!” To be continued...

Later that night at home before bed, Munch decided to ask April something. “You think we should put an end to this segment?” Munch asked her as he got into his pajamas. “It was our first time doing this segment and you already wanna give up?” April asked, already dressed in her pajamas. “Well I-” “If you wanna stop this segment, we can.” April said, a soft gaze in her eyes as she looked into his green ones, “I mean, you're the leader!” “Well I suppose it can continue...” Munch said, rubbing the back of his neck, “At least for now.” As Munch and April both climbed into bed, Munch yawned. “Good night...” He said, smiling at April before closing his eyes. “Night.” April said back with a smile as she continued to keep her eyes open. Well, he's the leader... April thought, still smiling, And like he said, we can continue to allow this segment to go on, for now. Besides, being competitive towards Munch is kinda fun... Especially if it does mean stuffing myself. She then yawned as she closed her eyes, nuzzling into her pillow. But for now, I need my rest for tomorrow... And so does he. The next morning, neither monster ate breakfast, and they just got ready and headed out for another day at work. Once they had arrived, Munch and April headed into the break room to put their stuff up. As Munch and April both went backstage, however, they noticed a really long table. “Uh, w-what's this for?” Munch asked Pasqually, who was setting up his drum set. “Yeah!” April agreed, looking at the table as well. “Well it's... It's for the pizza eating segment, of course!” Pasqually replied with a grin as Munch began setting up his keyboard, “After all, they say that bigger is better!” “For us or do they mean a bigger table is better?” Munch asked, giving a confused look. April giggled at his question. Probably us. She thought, smiling at Munch, Besides, the crowd wanted an encore of us eating yesterday! “Well the crowd doesn't say that, it's just a metaphor.” Pasqually said. “Okay...” Munch said slowly, “But judging by what the crowd wanted yesterday, they just wanted us to do the segment again before we declined!” “Yeah but it's not every day you get to see two monsters eating everything - well, almost everything - that's put right in front of them!” Pasqually explained, “Besides, they think you're amazing!” “Well I guess that's a good thing...” Munch said, rubbing his arm, “So I guess it wouldn't hurt to do a bigger show for them.” “That's the spirit!” Pasqually told him with a smile. Later, when the band was done performing Cheese Pizza is Pure Delight, Munch felt really hungry - he actually felt like he was starving - due to skipping breakfast. “I'm hungry...” Munch said after letting out a groan. “What's wrong Munch?” Chuck asked, looking at Munch as he noticed Munch holding his stomach. “It's just that...I didn't eat anything for breakfast because I wanted to save room for that pizza segment.” Munch explained, “Like yesterday April mentioned she had a small breakfast, and...I guess I just decided to skip a meal just to see if I could beat her.” “I didn't eat any breakfast today, either.” April admitted, beginning to hold her stomach too, “So I... I guess we're both on the same page.” “Well lucky for you guys that segment's up next!” Pasqually said with a smile. “It is?!” Everyone else but Munch and April asked in unison. “Yeah, it is!” Pasqually said, smiling. “Great, I'm starving!” Munch said with a smile as April nodded in agreement. We both are! April thought with a smile, And this is going to be one interesting match! “Well guys, we have to go so these guys can set up for their segment of their show, so we'll be back with more songs in a little while!” Chuck announced to the crowd as the crowd began to cheer. He then giggled. “So don't go anywhere!” “Bye-bye!” Munch said, waving at everyone with a smile, “We'll see you later!” “Bye!” April chirped, also smiling. “Thank you, everybody!” Helen said as Pasqually giggled. “You guys are too kind!” Pasqually said, smiling as well. “Nice seein' ya!” Jasper added in, smiling at everyone. After all the goodbyes and the curtains closing - and everyone setting up for the next segment - Munch and April's stomachs began to growl from hunger. After the segment's introduction, Munch and April immediately began to scarf the pizza down, the pizza disappearing at a somewhat rapid pace as the crowd looked on in amazed silence. Twenty minutes passed and they were on their thirteenth pizza, already feeling just a bit full but not too much. Okay, you can do this, April... April thought to herself for motivation, Besides, you're not even full yet! As Munch and April moved on from their thirteenth pizza and on to their fourteenth, they slowed down just a bit. It wasn't until they were halfway through their fifteenth that they realized they were stuffed! |

I don't know if I could finish this... April thought, hesitating to take another bite of her pizza, You beat Munch yesterday... You CAN do this! As April opened her mouth to take another bite, she heard a groan coming from next to her. She glanced over and saw it was Munch. “Should've had a big breakfast this morning...” She heard him mutter to himself, “But the fans are counting on me! I-I can't give up now...” Same... April thought, looking back at her pizza, I can't give up, because i-if I do...the fans'll be disappointed! Suddenly their fans started chanting their names, giving Munch and April enough motivation now to keep going. “They're at a tie!” Pasqually announced, “It looks like both are a little hesitant to” — April and Munch began to very slowly finish off their pizzas as the crowd gave a loud cheer — “No!! They're still going! Will they make it?!” The crowd started cheering louder, and Munch and April both felt that they could pass out at any minute from the loud noise and how stuffed they were. But fortunately, they didn't... After getting to the last bite and finishing it, April and Munch both allowed their hands to drop down to their sides as they leaned back in their chairs with a groan, placing one hand on their stomachs and rubbing them. A-Are we... Are we done? April thought, beginning to pant since all the food she ate hardly gave her any room to breathe since she was so full, Did we...make it? As she glanced over at Munch, she noticed him beginning to allow the chair to topple backwards since most of his weight was against the back of the chair due to leaning back in it. Is he...okay? She thought, before the chair fully toppled back, sending him falling to the floor along with it. “Ugh...” Munch groaned, “I don't think I'll... I'll wanna eat or think of” — he covered his mouth as he burped and his cheeks puffed out since he felt sick — “pizza for a little bit...” “Yeah same here...” April agreed, rubbing her stomach, “We ate a lot.” “Agreed...” Munch said, looking at the ceiling since he was lying on his back, “And lying on your back isn't...very comfortable on a full stomach either.” “Well we're stuffed, Munch.” April said as she looked back at him, “You're just... You're just lucky you're not me right now...” “Why?” Munch asked, glancing at her, “You're panting?” April nodded. “Well I'm ready for a nap...” Munch said, trying to keep his eyes open, April finally realizing how full he was since he was lying on his back, which made it easier to see how full he really was. “Jeez, you must be stuffed...” April told him, surprised, “But probably not as much as me.” “Yeah...” Munch said, still trying to keep his eyes open, “That's because I can eat a little more... And I could've sworn when I let the chair fall back it moved a tiny bit.” “That's because you're chubby.” April said, smiling sleepily at him, “So it kinda moved as you hit the floor.” “I think it's just my weight.” Munch said, sleepily smiling back at her, “You know, what you guys call body fat.” April nodded. “Yeah.” She agreed, still smiling sleepily at him, “But it is cute... You know, how it had that tiny jiggle.” Munch blushed. “April...” He whined, feeling kind of embarrassed. “What? It was like you're a chubby puppy or something!” April explained before giggling, “It's cute!” “Yeah, thanks...” Munch said with a small, sleepy smile on his face, “But we have got to stop being so competitive with each other! ...Or at least work on it.” April hiccuped before nodding. “Yeah.” She said, “W-We can't go on like this.” “Well we can, but...we don't want to...” Munch began, “Right?” “Yeah...” April said before letting out a yawn. “But let's just try and get some rest first...” Munch said with a smile, “We've already eaten all the pizza we could right now, which turned out to be a little more than we could ever eat or have ever eaten!” “Yeah...” April agreed, smiling both sleepily and dreamily at him. Okay, for those of you wondering, it is possible to overeat before the feeling of fulness kicks in or something. I read it online somewhere... And the part about April panting, it is possible to get shortness of breath if your diaphragm - and possibly your lungs - don't have enough space to expand as they take in air (or something like that). Believe me, I've read this online before. Plus yesterday I read that due to obesity you can also get shortness of breath, too. But I hope you enjoyed this little update! ![]() Um, nobody won yet... I'm waiting until I get enough votes to decide whose vote will win. Besides, I had Munch ask April about putting an end to the segment and didn't have them mentioning anything about not wanting to hurt Pasqually's feelings so no one would assume that I went with that vote. But it wasn't intended to mean that your vote won, because once I get enough votes on the poll, whichever one has the most votes will win. Until then, I'll just continue to add more to the story and keep it going until I get enough votes. But nice try, though.

After Pasqually finished up with his after-segment speech, he got everything taken down, Munch and April both fast asleep, nuzzled against each other since April allowed her weight to be put more on the back of the chair she was in, and for the both of them their discomfort made it a little harder to sleep, so it took a while. Pasqually struggled to pull the chairs out from under the two monsters due to their weight and decided to wait until they both woke up. For the next segment, Chuck decided to tell the audience to just ignore Munch and April as they performed the next segment, because what other choice did they have besides dragging them off the stage? An hour later, Munch and April's eyes fluttered open. “W-Where am I?” Munch asked as he sleepily looked around, “Am I...onstage?” April looked around as well. Looks like it... She thought. “Oh guys!” They both heard Chuck say as they turned their heads in the direction of his voice, “You're awake! Good to see ya again!” “W-What happened...?” Munch asked, not really remembering what had happened earlier. “Ya guys ate so much durin' that last segment you couldn't stay awake!” Jasper replied as Munch and April both sat up and looked at him. “Oh, right!!” Munch said as he finally remembered them getting stuffed from the pizza, “That eating competition thing!” Yeah! April thought, remembering as well, That segment! “But anyway, we're glad to see you're awake!” Chuck told him as Helen, Pasqually and Jasper nodded in agreement, smiling. “And we're glad to be awake, Chuck E.!” Munch said smiling, causing the audience to laugh. Same here! April agreed with a nod, Same here... “So, you guys ready to perform a song?” Chuck asked the band. “Yeah!!” Everyone agreed, especially April, smiles on their faces. They then began to perform Party Place. After their performance, Munch decided to make a joke and say, “Going to Chuck E. Cheese to play all the games is fun and all, but I'm hungry!” The audience laughed as April giggled. Oh Munch... She thought with a smile, Typical you. “Really??” Chuck asked, looking at Munch with a confused expression, “You ate a lot of pizza over an hour ago!” “Yeah I know.” Munch said with a smile, “I'm just kidding.” Later that night at dinner, Munch and April both vowed to stop being so competitive with each other so they wouldn't overeat, and April agreed. The next morning, April was thinking about the vow she had made with Munch. How will we be able to stop being competitive if... If there's lots of pizza in front of us...and we're supposed to eat the pizza? “You ready for another new day April?” Munch asked her with a smile. “Yeah...” April said, looking at the floor, “But I'm just wondering... How are we supposed to stop being competitive if... If we have to eat against each other?” “Well there's no prize, right?” Munch asked, “So we just eat as we normally do, and we don't try to outdo each other. We just stop when we feel full.” “But it's fun being competitive with you...” April explained, “Despite what we go through after eating so much, it's still fun to try to outdo you.” “Then I dunno.” Munch said with a shrug, “We're going to have to figure this out.” “Maybe eat a large breakfast?” April suggested. “No...” Munch replied, “That wouldn't work.” “Oh, you are right...” April said with a sigh as she looked down, “I may still get competitive.” “Yeah...” Munch agreed, looking down as well before glancing back up at her, “We don't want you to eat too much again.” “Well I dunno.” April said, glancing towards the fridge, “I guess we're gonna have to continue to try to outdo each other... Unless we can ask Chuck if he could remind us... But I don't think we'll remember once we get into the eating part, since we'll be trying to outdo each other again.” “Yeah, I guess it is kinda tough being a Munch...” Munch said, slightly smiling at April as he rubbed his arm, “But at least the fans love it.” April smiled back. “Yeah they do.” She agreed, “So maybe we should continue to try to outdo each other, no matter how stuffed we get!” “Uh...” Munch began. “Well I don't mean we should continue if we feel we can't possibly eat anymore.” April interrupted with a giggle, “I'm not saying we should push ourselves to - or even past - the breaking point. That wouldn't be good!” “Nor pretty.” Munch added, wincing slightly at the thought. “I mean we should eat till we really can't eat anymore.” April said with a smile. “Didn't we already do that yesterday?” Munch asked, giving her a confused look. “You'll see later when we do the segment.” April said with a smile and a wink. “Uh... Okay...” Munch said, beginning to feel a bit uneasy about what April had said, not knowing what was going to happen. “Don't worry, it'll be like eating till we feel we can't anymore.” April told him, still smiling, “Except we're gonna eat till we feel we really can't possibly eat anymore!” Munch began to feel even more worried, feeling that April was taking her competitiveness too far, beginning to whimper. “B-But isn't that pushing ourselves to the breaking point?!” Munch questioned, trying to make a point, “I mean, w-we've never done that before! I-I think that's a bad idea! We'll probably get massive tummyaches!” “Munch, aren't you a little old to be saying 'tummyaches'?” April asked, giving Munch a confused look, “I mean, I guess it's okay you're saying it but...I'm just wondering... Plus I wanna see who can really outdo who!” Munch gulped. “Well...alright then, I-I guess...” Munch said, looking down at the floor and rubbing the back of his neck, “But if something goes wrong, well...you owe me.” April smiled as he then looked back up at her. “But t-this kind of competitiveness...isn't very...fun.” Munch added with a sigh as he let his hand fall back to his side, “It's fun if we're not overstuffing ourselves, just to see who has a bigger stomach capacity.” Well he does have a point... April thought, her mouth forming an 'o' shape as she slightly tilted her head, But I really wanted to see who... Who could really eat more. “Well if you wanna do it, I-I guess we can...” Munch said with a sigh as he rubbed his arm, “I mean, I know I'm the leader but if it makes you happy...” “No Munch, i-it doesn't make me happy...” April interjected, “I just wanted to see who could truly eat more.” “Even if it kills us?” Munch asked, looking at April with innocent eyes. “Well hopefully not if it kills us.” April replied with a shrug, “We wouldn't want that to happen. Besides, we'd probably be too stuffed to even think about our competitiveness!” Munch sighed. “I hope you're right...” Munch said, looking back down at the floor again, “Because if I die from this...” “Don't worry, you won't die from this!” April said, trying to get him to listen. We'll just... I don't know... April thought so she wouldn't worry Munch anymore, But hopefully things'll turn out okay. Later on, during their segment, Munch had an idea: he'd eat until he was stuffed and let April win, not wanting to get into any trouble. Twenty pizzas - since they had a small breakfast after their talk - was all it took for them to feel like they truly couldn't eat anymore. The reason Munch ended up being overstuffed along with April was because he decided it wouldn't be fair, and just decided to go with the flow. “Ugh...” Munch groaned, leaning back in his chair so quickly the chair toppled backwards, Munch's reflexes causing him to quickly grab for the table as he suddenly remembered how uncomfortable it was to lie on his back. As he hit the floor, his cheeks puffed out since he thought the pizza was going to come back up, covering his mouth at the same time as well. After, he let out a slightly longer groan due to how uncomfortable it was. April didn't care much about her own comfort and decided that Munch shouldn't suffer alone, so she purposely made her chair fall backwards and as she hit the floor, she also covered her mouth as her cheeks puffed out. “I-I've never” — Munch burped — “eaten that much in my life...” “M-Me neither...” April groaned, both monsters rubbing their stomachs, “I'll” — she burped as she covered her mouth, her cheeks puffing out again — “never make that same mistake again...” Both monsters saw how distended their stomachs were as they were lying down vs. what it would look like if they were sitting up, both monsters panting due to the large amount of food, and the crowd's cheering didn't help any, either. They just felt a little bloated and a little sick as they lay there on the stage floor, too full to move. “Y-You guys okay?” Chuck asked, looking at them with a worried expression, “I mean, what happened to you guys?” “I told you guys there'd be no prize so you wouldn't push yourselves too far!” Pasqually scolded, holding up a finger, “Besides, you guys agreed to no prizes when I mentioned something about not wanting you guys to overdo it!” “It was her” — Munch hiccuped — “idea, not mine!” “Well you two get some rest.” Pasqually said, “And I hope you learned your lesson.” “Oh I did...” April said, feeling very sleepy and full, “Never eat to see who has the most” — she burped — “stomach capacity...” “And I learned to never go with what ideas she has...” Munch groaned, wishing he had just let April make the mistake, “Besides, I told her it was a bad idea...” After some difficulty getting to sleep, Munch and April's eyes finally fluttered closed as they fell asleep. A few hours later, Munch and April both stirred awake before looking around, realizing they were both in bed. Wait... Munch thought, It was only a dream? As Munch rolled over to look at the alarm clock, he noticed it was only 8:00 AM. “One more hour...” Munch mumbled sleepily, remembering that he had to be at work at 10:00 AM. Besides, it was only going to take them maybe 30 minutes to get ready for the day, but Munch felt his sleep was being disturbed by something, but he didn't know what. And instead of his normal dream of chasing a pizza why was it stuffing himself with pizza alongside April? “Did you have that same dream too...?” April asked sleepily with a yawn. Munch just nodded before yawning as well. “That was weird...” Munch then said, smiling at April, “And to think you wanted to see who could eat the most pizza by eating until we both really felt we couldn't eat anymore.” April giggled. “Yeah, it seemed so realistic!” She agreed with a smile, “But I'd never do that! You're the best thing that's ever happened to me!” “Yeah I know.” Munch said with a giggle, “You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, too!” Okay, for those of you confused, I decided to make it a plot twist, and everything like April making the suggestion to eat until they felt they really couldn't eat anymore and them literally doing it was actually a dream. Probably a weird one if you ask me, now that you think about it. But I hope you enjoy the little plot twist!

No, it's okay. But it's (the plot twist) been used so many times? What do you mean? In other people's stories, etc.? Also I have no other idea on what other plot twist could've been used besides that. So... Sorry 'bout that. XD

That day, at work, Munch had something on his mind. Y'know, I'm not quite ready for that...eating segment. He thought, looking down at his keyboard, I mean, I don't know what that dream meant, but...I don't want the competitiveness between us to get THAT bad... “You ready for our... Our eating segment?” April asked, also not feeling too excited about it herself, “I mean, we did agree to it!” Munch sighed. “Yeah, I know...” He said, glancing at April with just his eyes, “It's just that...I'm not so excited about our segment... That dream we had...really took it out of me.” “Yeah, me too...” April said, nodding her head in agreement, “I just...hope we don't get that competitive with each other that we end up doing that.” “Me too...” Munch agreed, rubbing the back of his neck as he again looked down at his keyboard, “I just hope...we really don't end up like that, or worse...” “Yeah, there is no 'or worse'...” April said, looking down at the floor, “The only 'or worse' there is, is...not pretty...” “You mean throwing up?” Munch asked, giving her a confused look, “That kinda 'worse'?” “If you'd rather think of it that way...” April replied with a shrug, “Or we could, y'know...have something else happen to us.” “Like not making it?” Munch asked, “That 'something else'?” “Well it... It is pretty impossible to... To 'not make it'...” “You're right...” Munch said, slightly smiling at her, “Besides, we're Munches and we were born to eat! When it comes to eating, we can make it! You and I, together...” April began to feel tears well up in her eyes. “Yeah, a-and I don't know what I'd do if... If I lost you.” Munch smiled at her warmly. “You ready to take on this eating segment?” Munch asked with a smirk, now feeling encouraged, “We'll show them what we're made of!” “After that dream and everything else we went through, well...I felt I didn't really enjoy being competitive towards you, but...if you're ready, I'm ready, too!” “So we're still gonna be competitive towards each other, huh?” Munch asked with a laugh. “Well that's what this eating segment is about, right?” April asked with a giggle, “Us eating against each other?” “Yeah, I guess so...” Munch said, blushing a little. “So when the segment starts, let's do this!” To be continued... |

When it was time for their segment to begin, Munch and April glanced at all the pizzas in front of them. Well, it's time to eat all this pizza and attempt to out-eat Munch... April thought, slightly biting her lip, But I just hope this doesn't end like in our dream... Or just not end well. But to avoid that, I have to not attempt to outeat Munch. He can basically eat more than me, but I guess he's just used to eating a little more than he usually does... And to be honest, I'm not really used to it either. “You ready for this?” Munch asked, looking at April, “You and I, competing against each other?” “Yeah I guess I am...” April said with a slight smile, “But I'm just hoping this won't end up like that dream we had.” “Don't worry, as long as we're careful and don't get too competitive, we'll be fine.” Munch assured her with a smile, “Besides, like I said, we were born to eat!” “Yeah.” April agreed, smiling back at him, “You and I will be okay.” “We'll be more than okay, trust me.” Munch told her with a wink. As they both heard their signal to start eating, they both began devouring the pizzas pretty quickly. Though I should still show that Munch can eat more than me! April thought as she ate, Besides, me eating more than Munch took a lot of, well... I don't know... I guess it took a lot of drive? Pushing myself? I don't know. After eleven pizzas, both monsters were able to finish half of a twelfth - a whole twelfth for Munch actually - and they were finally stuffed. “Is this because of all the pizza we ate in the past?” April asked, curious about how much she ate, “I mean, it has to be! ...Right?” “I dunno.” Munch said, leaning back in his chair, his hand resting on his stomach, “Maybe?” Suddenly they both realized the crowd was cheering for them, and they weren't just cheering. Munch and April both realized that the crowd was wanting them to eat more to see who could truly eat more, but their friends seemed oblivious to how the crowd was cheering, unless Munch and April were both paranoid. “Uh, w-we don't want to overdo it, guys!” Munch said, speaking to the crowd, “This is as much as April and I can possibly eat! Any more and it'll end up like last time! ...Or worse, like in our dream!” But the crowd just kept cheering in that same way, the screaming of some of the crowd as they cheered finally making it clear to Munch and April that the crowd wanted more. Munch groaned before facepalming. “What have we created?” He asked himself before glancing up at April, “Would you mind telling 'em?” “Well if we've eaten more than this in the past, I don't think they'll believe us now.” April explained, looking back at him with a sad look in her eyes, “Our competitiveness has done this to us. I guess there's no going back now...” “So we should continue to eat?” Munch asked, beginning to pick up a pizza, “Because that seems to be what the fans want.” “No, we don't...” April said, looking down, “We just disappoint some - or most - of our fans...” “But April, w-we can't do that!” Munch said, looking shocked, “If we disappoint them, well... That's not what we do!” “Munch, we need to!” April argued, “Remember our dream!?” “If we end up like we did in our dream, it'd be worth it!” Munch said back, “Besides, it's not about what we want, it's about what the fans want!” The entire crowd cheered as Munch mentioned this. “Yeah?” April asked, clearly upset, “Well you can go ahead and stuff yourself to impress our fans! Because I quit!” She then turned around and started to walk where their other friends were waiting before crossing her arms. I know this is about seeing who could eat more, but Munch isn't listening! April thought, If he wants to stuff himself like last time or in our dream, he can go ahead, 'cause I'll have the last laugh when HE'S uncomfortable! Munch glanced down at the pizzas in front of him, the crowd giving a wild cheer. What was I thinking when I agreed to this? He thought, glancing at April, I never thought this would happen! Besides, it seems we've turned the crowd into... Into people who WANT to see us eat that much! “Well Munch?” April asked, her arms crossed as she slightly glared at him, “Aren't you hungry?” “Uh, no...” Munch replied, looking back at her, “Who said I was?” “Well you don't want to disappoint the fans!” April scoffed, her expression not changing, “I mean, if you don't wanna do that I guess that means you aren't full enough!” “Look, if we disappoint our fans and we keep disappointing them and keep losing them, we won't have many fans to play for!” Munch explained to her, the crowd cheering loudly in agreement, “And we need the fans to keep going as a band!” April sighed in defeat. “Okay, okay...” She said, walking back over to Munch, “We can continue eating the pizza.” The crowd once again cheered, a few whistles being heard from some of the crowd members. I swear they're trying to kill us... April thought with a groan, knowing that the groan that came from Munch that same moment she did meant he was thinking the same thing. “Uh, actually folks...” Chuck began, facing the crowd, a nervous smile on his face, “We've already spent a bit more time on this segment than we usually would...” The crowd awww'd in disappointment. “But don't worry, we'll be back with more soon!” Chuck added with a smile as the crowd again cheered, more whistles being heard as both Munch and April sighed from relief. I thought we'd NEVER get out of that! April thought, smiling at Munch, Munch beginning to smile back at her, That was tough on our own... “Thanks, Chuck E.” Munch said with a smile, “I don't know what we would've done without you.” April nodded in agreement with a smile. “You're welcome guys.” Chuck told them, smiling back, “I'm guessing this segment wasn't a good idea, was it?” “Well...” Munch began, glancing over at Pasqually, seeing he had a sad expression at the thought of it being a bad idea, “With a crowd like this, it...definitely was difficult getting out of that situation...” “Yeah it was.” April said in agreement with a smile and a nod, “So I'm glad it's over!” “Well it's my fault I got them into this...” Pasqually said, looking down, “They were okay until I suggested this segment.” “No, no, you're okay Pasqually!” Munch said, looking over at him, “We just... The fans just began to expect us to eat more, thinking we can!” “Well we did the last time...” April muttered, looking down at the floor, “But we... We kinda pushed ourselves with the fans' cheering for us and stuff.” “Well if you wanna end this segment we can...” Pasqually offered, “It's up to you.” To be continued... If you haven't taken the poll above, feel free to vote for whether you feel they should continue the segment or not! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

After asking Pasqually for more time to think about it, Munch and April both continued on with the show with the rest of the band. After the show was over, Munch and April headed into the kitchen. “Phew! What a day!” Munch said, beginning to sit in a chair in the break room, “You and I totally rocked it out there!” “You bet we did!” April agreed with a smile, sitting in a chair as well, “And well...though we disappointed some fans with the eating segment, well...I'm glad we were able to make up for it.” “Yeah we were!” Munch agreed, giving April a bright smile, “With my amazing keyboard skills and your great singing, we really stole the show!” “Aww, Munch...” April said, feeling flattered as she blushed, “You were great, too.” “Now who wants a pizza feast?” Pasqually asked as he and the rest of the band entered the kitchen with a smile. “Ooh, I do!” Munch and April both said in unison, quickly raising their hands. “I want a pizza feast!” April then said, a big smile on her face. “Me too!” Munch said, both monsters feeling excited. Pasqually laughed. “Okay, settle down, guys.” He said, putting some pizza into the oven, “How does twelve sound?” “Like a lot!” Munch replied, “But not too much for ol' Munchie to handle!” “And not too much for ol' April to handle, either!” April chimed in with a big grin. “What toppings would you guys like?” Pasqually asked, still smiling. “Well, whatever you just put in the oven, Pasqually.” April said with a smile, “That's what I'll have!” “Same here!” Munch agreed, also smiling. “Okay, so you guys'll take a double anchovy pizza then?” Pasqually joked. “A WHAT now?!” Munch asked, a shocked and slightly disgusted expression appearing on his face. “That's gross...” April muttered, a disgusted look on her face. “I'm just kidding!” Pasqually said with a giggle, “There are actually pepperoni pizzas in the oven.” “With extra cheese!?” Munch asked, his eyes now wide-open with curiosity, “Please tell me you added extra cheese!” “Don't worry, I did.” Pasqually assured the two monsters, “And if you guys can't finish-” “Whoa, whoa, wait!” April interrupted, holding her hands up in front of her, “Who said anything about me not being able to finish?” “Well if you say so...” Pasqually said as he began to quickly prepare more pizzas, “But you can save your pizza for tomorrow if you end up not finishing it.” “Trust me, I will.” April said with a smile, “Unlike Munchie-boy here.” She pointed her thumb towards Munch as she mentioned him, causing Munch's eyes to widen with shock. Wait, me?! He thought, glancing at April, But I thought we vowed to not be competitive towards each other again! ...Did she just mean for the show? “Well I'll just give Munch a little then...” Pasqually said as April smirked at Munch. “N-No, I can eat twelve whole pizzas!” Munch said, holding his hands up in defense, “I mean, when I used to be able to eat only eleven I was able to finish them!” “Okay, then I'll make twelve for you both.” Pasqually told him as he finished preparing the first few pizzas before opening the oven to check on the first two pizzas. “Actually make it thirteen pizzas for April.” Munch then said with a smirk, “You know how hungry she gets!” “What?!” April asked, shocked as she looked at Munch, “Are you trying to make me gain weight or something?!” “Well I do think you'd look a bit cuter chubby.” Munch began, putting a finger to his chin, “But if you don't want to be...” “No, no...” April said, holding her hands up in defense, “I-I don't mind, but...if you want me to be just a little chubby, that's fine too.” “Look, if you don't wanna be, you don't have to.” Munch said, smiling at her. “Well...I'm not so sure...” April said, looking down at the floor, “But I don't mind being a little bit chubby and having it show... Well, a tiny bit.” After the decision was made and the pizzas were done, Munch and April dug in pretty quickly and hungrily, since the wait was about twenty-five to thirty minutes. “Wow, look at you guys go!” Pasqually said, amazed at how quickly the pizzas were disappearing, “Didn't know you were that hungry!” “We are.” April said before beginning to devour her pizza again, Munch nodding his head in agreement before quickly getting back to his pizza. After all twelve pizzas were gone, April and Munch were stuffed, but April decided to eat a whole thirteenth pizza before calling it quits. “Yikes!” Pasqually said as he watched April force herself to eat the pizza, “You sure you can eat all that?” “Yeah I guess she is.” Munch said as he sat back in his chair with a hand on his stomach and watched her. I can do this... April thought as she reached the final few bites of the pizza, Just a few more to go. She took the last few bites and tried to reach for a fourteenth pizza but Pasqually pulled it away. “Uh-uh.” Pasqually said as he shook his head and held the pizza up into the air, “You can't have this one.” “Well I don't feel like I'm truly full yet!” April said, pouting at Pasqually's refusal. “Okay, fine...” Pasqually said, giving the pizza to April, but before April could chomp down on it, Munch quickly took it from her and devoured it. “Munch...” April complained, “I was going to eat that!” “Not if I can help it!” Munch said before swallowing the pizza, “Besides, isn't thirteen enough for you?” Munch asked, curious. “Well I feel-” Suddenly before she could finish she realized how stuffed she was. “Okay, never mind...” She then said as she sat back in her chair and rubbed her stomach, “I do feel that thirteen was enough...” Munch laughed. “That's what I thought.” He said with a smile, now feeling a little more stuffed than he was when he ate the pizza Pasqually gave her, “But now that you think of it, I think I know how you feel now.” April laughed, and soon Munch joined in the laughter. To be continued...

Probably a weird one if you ask me, now that you think about it.
But it's (the plot twist) been used so many times? What do you mean? In other people's stories, etc.?
