I think we're going to see a lot of remodels and also a lot of store closings in the next 5 years. Stores will either be remodeled to at least Phase 5 (and probably the full 2.0) or otherwise closed. Within the next 5 years they will remodel and update all of the stores that are still stuck at Phase 3 (especially) and Phase 4. As they do this, they will pull out whatever animatronic show happens to be there and replace it with the Live Dance Floor (sorry guys, I know you don't like that but that's what I see happening). The animatronic stages will become more and more scarce over the next few years as they get phased out. I also think they'll encourage stores to buy the newly redesigned walkarounds of the other four characters and do more Live and Birthday shows with all of the characters present to really liven up the Live shows! That should be really fun. Underperforming and smaller stores will close to cut back on expenses, and that money will be funneled into remodeling profitable stores, and opening new locations in better areas. This is all just an educated guess on my part... I really think CEC 2.0 is going to be the future and within 5 or 6 years it's going to be what almost all of us see when we walk into our local CEC. |

No, it's actually because the show is too far away to ship back. If it was a franchise here in the states they would be shut down immediately. I've talked to several franchise owners and if the bots aren't in CEC and they don't want to keep them, they must be destroyed or they could possibly be sued by CEC ent for giving off their copyrighted material. The stuff that escaped years ago is history, that stuff can stay outside of CEC. I believe it's less strict with Corp owned CECs because no one owns their property as a franchise owner. It could possibly happen if someone slips a show out without telling anyone. Franchises are not allowed to do whatever they want. They must follow CEC copyright rules and maybe internationally it's different but US franchises as you can see are very strict with their rules and act just like corp stores. The Hawaii stores are technically considered international so that's why they are still doing that stuff. If one of my stores did that corp would shut them down right away. Also about the whole relocating thing, Arizona stores most likely won't be able to relocate once they are gone. I'm guessing we've got another five or so years before corp wants us gone. We are really struggling with our PPP situation. Phoenix seems to handle it fine but the other stores are losing employees. I've talked to some of them and they said that PPP seems to have better spots open for them. I know Ben knew some people that left the Ahwatukee store (before closing) to go to PPP. It's because corp dismantled all of them for parts instead. A more than half of the 3-Stage population is in disrepair. Those stages are the toughest to keep up with. We are running out of cosmetic parts and corp won't take cosmetics from removed locations. The best thing is to keep your 3-Stage cosmetics as long as possible even if they only have a few minor cracks. If it's completely destroyed then it should be replaced but it shouldn't be replaced for minor stuff. Edited by CECArizona, Nov 13 2017, 06:37 PM.

Um...there is no way ALL of the New England stores are closing, especially not anytime soon. Our stores are HIGHLY capable of being remodeled and they are wayyyy to popular over here to be removed!! |

me too ^^^ We have some good stages up here. One of our Studio Cs is one of the six with the orginial 1998-2000 Eyelashes made of a Rubbery Latex. Wonder how Warwick ended up with them, probaly New England's first Studio C? Their store looks boring without decor on their show. Attleboro decorates, why not Warwick? |

What's so special about the original eyelashes? I get that they're rare, which is kind of cool I guess, but they're ugly. I much prefer the later Studio C eyelashes, the originals are too big in my book. |

Also Richland WA is relocating and one of the Charlotte stores will have the last Road Stage with the 90's Helen. One the new store opens, our stage list needs an update.
