This person obviously didn't grow up in the 80's to see Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre. One thing that makes me upset still that 95% of the games are still ticket redemption games. At least our franchises here have a good balance of ticket redemption and normal arcade games. Most of our normal games though are considered retro (pre-2006) at this point. They are trying to encorage all stores to get the dance floors, some store managers are very angry over 2.0, holding onto their animatronics. I think Franchise owners will keep repairing their bots and make them last a lifetime. I wish CEC could of done 2.0 and 1.0 (1.0 being Phase 3, 4, and 5 stores). |

1. CEC doe snot exist to cater to kids of the 80's or 90's or 2000's. They exist for the kids of today. 2. The redemption games are there because kids love to get tickets to exchange for the prizes. When I was growing up, Skei-Ball was pretty much the only game that gave tickets. |

They like the redemption games so they can win that keychain that costs 20,000 tickets.

That's why they have Dave And Busters (and cell phones).

I guess when they try to cater to adults, they don't assume adults can find as much enjoyment out of the show or games as kids do. Particularly the latter, they've been trying to cater to the adults the past few years, yet I feel as though they're kind of backfiring, since the adults tend to care more about the bots than the kids do. |

Most adults don't care about the show at all. They just want to get some nice pictures of their kids with Chuck E. after the birthday shows. |

Well at least dave and busters has a mix of ticket redemption and normal games so everyone can be entertained. Most of their prizes are pretty easy to get too. I just don’t get why CEC can’t target both. It’s not too hard and they do have enough room. Most kids also play on their iPads while at CEC too lmao. CEC is still mostly for kids while other places have something for everyone. CEC doesn’t even target all kids at this point they mainly target kids under the age of 10 and even younger from what was happening in the late avenger era. Most of the intermission were preschool shows lmao. I’ve talked to an owner of a PTT back in the 80’s and she said that when she took her grandkids there it mainly just had stuff for younger kids compared what she was used to with all those non ticket redemption games and darker atmosphere that attracted everyone. PTT was as close as possible to D&B in the 80’s and now it’s practically a daycare. At least they are trying a little to please the adults more than usual but it’s not enough. At least it’s better than CEC in 2010 where every intermission had a nick jr or pbs show in it. I have seen the April 2010 show myself in person and I also own my own copy and I can tell that they’ve improved a lot with the targeting audience but it’s not enough. CEC 2.0 is great for trying but all they could of done is just paint the walls and add in different games while keeping the atmosphere the same. It would be nice to have the game room dimmed a little too so you can see the games light up. I love CEC how it is right now but I literally go there just to film the show, eat and leave. That’s the only aspect of CEC that’s actually entertaining for me. Edited by CECArizona, Nov 18 2017, 03:01 PM.

They aren't going to base the remodels on what stage a store has, but a lot of the 3-stages are looking pretty sad at this point and honestly I won't be very sad to see them go. I mean they've had 30+ year runs at this point and that's pretty good!

Honestly, I wouldn't blame them for removing cruddy, old 3 Stages. However, I think they should attempt to bring life to the 3 Stages by not only fixing them up, but do what quite a few stores have done. Add some Neon Lighting. It really makes the stage pop, and seem more lively than ever. When it came to preserving 3 Stages, they really goofed up with the CU 1 Stage (I mean, have you seen how atrocious Whitehall's condition has become since the bots haven't been updated since 2010, aside from a few clothing changes?). I feel as though bringing the good 3 Stages to life, in order to preserve them, kind of like the goal of the CU 1 Stage would benefit both fans and non-fans, seeing that it'd keep bots around for the fans to enjoy, while they'd at least be appealing to non-fans. I don't have much of a problem with removing bad stages, seeing that it's a good thing to progress. What I do find awful is the removal of stages that're in good-perfect condition. |

Guess what guys, 2.0 is officially dead. It was a failed concepts. This remodel will stick with 7 locations. Will be no more 2.0 stores. |

I'm sure I speak for everyone by saying knock off the ridiculous over-the-top statements. You're constantly switching from one extreme to another. One day it's "The company hates their fans, they're going to try to get rid of the entire fandom and destroy every stage ", and the next day it's "CEC 2.0 will fail, it won't work, it's dead."Knock off these ridiculous statements that aren't grounded at all, and have absolutely no proof backing them up. We're tired of these insane or vague responses that just comes out of nowhere! Am I angry? No, I'm just tired of seeing these insane statements that are entirely unrealistic. There is no proof 2.0 is a dead concept. There is proof that it could backfire and fail, though there's also proof it could succeed and become the next big remodel. We don't know what's exactly going to happen. I've said it a million times, we're not going to get results until early 2018. By that point, there would've been plenty of time since the first 2.0 stores came out, so the company will be able to examine how well the stores did with the new remodel in the second half of the year. Plus, lots of people seem to forget that they released that survey months ago with a question about how important the animatronics are. They released a survey back in August of 2015, and around the spring of 2016, both containing questions about the familiarity with the characters, and since then, the characters have been given lots more attention (More then they've had in over a decade). We're currently at a standstill, we're just waiting for the next big event to happen (Which I won't count on to occur within the next month). We're all sick and tired of these unrealistic statements concocted within your own fantasy. |

How come almost everything you post is just something you completely made up? They haven't even finished the first round of testing the concept yet, dude... |
