Features the 2000's versions of the characters before the switch to Rockstar, but may include the PTT counterpart of Chuck E. later as well (along with his 2000's counterpart). “Spanning the globe...” The announcer began before the camera switched over from the CEC TV News logo to the globe, showing Munch using a scanner on the globe, April facepalming at how ridiculous it was. “Uh, Munch?” Chuck asked, a confused expression on his face as he looked at him, “He said 'spanning the globe', not 'scanning' the globe.” “Thank you.” April muttered as she rolled her eyes and shook her head, not understanding - even after the times he's been corrected in the 90's - how he continues to make these errors at something so obvious. “Uh, well uh...” Munch began, not knowing what else to say as he glanced nervously at the camera, the scanner now hidden behind his back. “Ugh, never mind...” Chuck said as he facepalmed, shaking his head. “It's time for the Chuck E. Cheese news!” The announcer continued, finishing the announcement before Chuck sat up at his news desk. “You heard correctly, folks!” Chuck stated with a fake smile, often glancing offscreen at Munch with just his eyes, “CEC TV News is back, and uh...I guess you could say the same as ever!” The audience laughing was heard, which seemed to escalate as April came on-screen smiling and giving a thumbs-up before walking back offscreen and shaking her head, referencing to Munch's mistake earlier. “And have we got some news for you!” Chuck said, looking back at the camera with the same fake smile he had on earlier, “You are gonna have to see it to believe it!” He then muttered, while looking offscreen towards Munch, “Literally...” He then looked back at the camera, now smiling. “What did I do?” Munch asked with a shrug, the scanner still hidden behind his back. “The scanner, remember?” April whispered, hinting to the incident from earlier. Upon realizing that the scanner was behind his back still, Munch tossed it from behind his back, causing it to fly offscreen, making a crashing sound accompanied by a cat yowling. “Uh, sorry Crusty!” Munch called to nothing in particular before smiling nervously at April, causing her to once again facepalm and shake her head. “Anyway...” Chuck said before clearing his throat and smiling back at the camera, “On to today's breaking story! Helen?” Okay, sorry to cut this short but I have to go to bed. But I might update tomorrow! Until then, good night and I hope you enjoyed!

“Well Chuck E.,” Helen began, holding a few tissues and sounding like she was going to cry, “It seems my Christmas wish isn't going to come true this year... Like other years.” She looked to be in a mall of some sort, wearing warm winter clothes. “Well why do you say that Helen?” Chuck asked, the camera switching back to the studio. “Because, I'm trying to find a ring for my special someone...” Helen said, wiping the tears from her eyes with one of the tissues. “Well who is your special someone?” Chuck asked, smiling at her, “I'd be glad to help you with a suggestion!” “Well...he's a mouse...” Helen explained, “He has a Jersey accent... He's funny...” “Uh... Oh!” Chuck said, looking just a little confused, “If I didn't know any better I'd say you're talking about me!” He smiled nervously. “But, uh...” “He is you, Chuck E.!” Helen exclaimed, “And it's truly heartbreaking that my... My Christmas wish won't... Won't come true!” “Uh, well!” Chuck began, still smiling nervously as he looked back at the camera, “That's our breaking - well more like 'heartbreaking' - news story! And Helen, I'll help you with your shopping later.” “Thanks, Chuck E...” Helen said, cracking a slight smile. “But now it's time for - hopefully he'll get this right - Munch with the weather!” Chuck announced with a smile. The camera cut to Munch, and he's seen blowing on the globe, trying to make it spin. “Uh, Munch?” Chuck asked, looking confused, “What are you doing?” “Well uh...I'm checking the weather on the globe, and well...it seems it's gonna be windy.” Chuck facepalmed. “Ugh, Munch...” He complained, “I mean the weather! The weather outside!! What's it gonna be like!?” Munch looked out the window of the studio. “Well it looks to be sunny, with a few clouds.” Munch said with a smile as he looked outside, “Though the sun is shining through the clouds, it looks like a perfect day for a picnic!” His smile then slowly faded. “...Oh wait, are the clouds supposed to be moving towards the sun?” Suddenly thunder was heard as the clouds completely covered the sun before starting to rain. “Uh...about the picnic, Chuck E., never mind!” Munch said, slowly looking back at the camera with a nervous smile on his face, “Just forget I said anything about...the day being perfect for a picnic.” “Hey, I just noticed, but where's April?” Chuck asked, looking around from his news desk. “Oh, she went out to check if our dumpsters were free of cats.” Munch said, smiling at Chuck E., “You know, since we heard a cat earlier after I tossed the scanner. I mean, we don't want any cats sneaking around in here!” “Yeah...” Chuck said slowly, cracking his best smile, “We don't want that!” Suddenly the door opened up to reveal April, her fur looking as if it were scorched and sticking up as if due to an electric shock. “I'm back!” April said, walking - more like stumbling a bit - into the studio. To be continued...
