Justin put up this video and I thought it was kind of interesting. The store is playing Birthday Star 1995 in 2001 (?!) and because that birthday show is no longer valid, it will still play the audio and video but the signals to move the characters are not allowed to go to the characters and the lights don't go on. I guess they had to put in an older DVD (laserdisc?) to run the older birthday show, right? Hmm.. Edited by PaulKTF, May 14 2018, 06:35 PM.

That's weird because birthday 2001 worked after it wasn't valid. Corporate even copied it to DVD for franchises that wanted to use it. |

They just messed up on their stage. Any show on tape would work till they got the DVD upgrade in 05-07. After the new DVD EPROM you could only go as far back as Best of 93' for CEC-stages, and July 93 for 3-stages. At this time no stage besides Studio C was on DVD and Laserdisc was long gone since April 99'.

But who would convert birthday '01 or '95 to DVD format? It isn't that easy as just using a normal VHS player connected to your PC. |

Multiple videos and audio channels on a tape. It isn't just your standard S-VHS tape and needs to be converted through a professional S-VHS player or the one that CEC used. |

Angel’s right, ir’s just an issue in the stage. One of my local stores played Bday 95 up until they converted to DVD in 2006 and the show worked just fine on there stage. |
