Here's a fun little amusing thread, this year's April show is hailed by many as one of the best shows of the Music Video Era. So I thought of making a fun little thread where you can discuss and compare the different April shows of the past decade (Because the April Show has usually remained as one of the best shows each year, along with the September show). So which show is your favorite, which one's your least favorite? For me, my favorite has to be April 2009. I'm predicting it'll either be this or April 2008 that'll be hailed as the best show, but I just can't avoid voting for such a fantastic show. Where Did Your Heart Go Missing, Super Chuck E, On Top the World, Year 3000, it was such a great show. Great storyline, too! April 2014 does make a close honorable mention, as that contained essentially the very best Rockstar has to offer. Worst show hands down is April 2016. Yeah, 2015 had less songs, but 2016 had the terrible Rainy Day, the mediocre Gamin' Time, an alright Cowboy's Life For Me, and a decent Birthdays Are Special. April 2015 had the incredible In the Future, and the pretty decent AGANP (Though it DID launch the trend of the annoying "Dialogue interruption" trope found in a majority of modern originals). |

April 2009 studio c version is one my favorites because they used the three stage bots instead of the puppets |

I am picking April 2009 and 2017 for the best. April 2010 was hands-down the worst show as 2010 was a terrible year for CEC shows. |

Yeah, April 2010 is a pretty weak show. There are some good parts of it, though (Soul Sister, Ain't Nothin' Wrong with That, Imagination), which is why I personally rank it above weaker shows like April 2015/2016, and even January 2011 (Which has an alright/forgettable roster of songs) |

Voted for April 2012 (kinda predictable I know), April 2017 (Show 3, 2017) would be my second favorite as it was the first show that I got to actually see in-person at a CEC in over seven years! Worst would be April 2015 (Show 3, 2015), second least favorite would be April 2010 which in retrospect felt like unintentional foreshadowing for what the music videos era (March 2015-Present) would be like. |
