Posted by: Miroir Jan 28 2011, 12:56 AM A lone Cutter wheeled its way about one of Green Hill's many eponymous rises, finally coming to a stop near the top. As was common, it moved about aimlessly, not seeming to have a goal in mind; instead, it simply kept rolling, slicing through whatever happened to be in the way, until an unusual object or feature caught its attention. Then it would go and slice into that. Most Mobians were smart enough to stay well away of this Horde-occupied area, and that left a lot of robots with nothing to do but run over the remaining vegitation until ordered to do otherwise. Suddenly, an auditory reading of some kind interrupted the relative silence. The Cutter paused in its rolling, attempting to identify the source of the noise. A few seconds later, the sound came again, and its repetition allowed the robot to approximate its general direction. Off to the right... there! Out of the corner of its visual input camera, something distinctly non-grasslike was visible poking above the tall weeds. It was rather thick and bushy, and moved against the slight breeze that was blowing. Definitely suspicious, requiring further investigation. It rolled forward, chainsaw blade just reaching the dried grass when something hurdled out from behind it. The force of the blow knocked Cutter 83654.1G right onto its spherical back, and like a turtle, was unable to right itself. There wasn't much time to think up a plan of action to correct this, as a large knife summarily planted itself straight through the robot's camera-eye, and short-circuited its computer brain. -- "Heeeere, robot..." Gray eyes stared out from between the dead grasses that she used as a screen, hiding her from the Cutter's mechanical eye. It stopped, and one corner of the woman's mouth curled. "Heeeeeeeeeeeere, robot robot robot..." The second time was long enough for it to hear, and slowly move towards her. This was her favourite part... Just as it reached her, she sprung, grabbing the lone wheel and flipping the Cutter onto its back. The actual work of disabling it took only a few seconds, thanks to this handy new knife she'd gotten; it was long enough to go straight through the 'eye-hole' and into the robot's insides. It stopped moving within seconds, though sparks still flew for quite a while afterwards. With a sigh, Miroir sheathed the blade and sat down on the upturned shell. In spite of how much fun that was, she was unequivocally bored. This land was all destroyed; nothing pretty to look at, and though the robots were fun to smash, they weren't exactly a challenge any more. Maybe if she'd waited for a swarm of them, instead of just jumping on this one... Or held off on the final blow until it could send out a distress signal, or something. That would have brought her more things to play with. Now she was annoyed. Getting up from her wobbly seat, the cat began kicking at it, slowly moving her metal lump towards a steeper incline nearby. Maybe the noise would attract some fun...? Posted by: Sage Jan 28 2011, 03:51 AM (this takes place before old magics infytongue.gif) Well wasn't today just going great? First he got lost trying to head into the great forest by actually heading south on the green hill zone, then he was being chased by three cutters down the hill zone. Yes siree, Sage was just having the best day in the world right about now, as he ran from the three robots through the hills. Because of the terrain he was quickly losing the original ground he had gained on the three whirling blades of doom. Luckily, he had a final trump card in case things went south, after all he could probably fly faster than these things, or he could just outmaneuver them. All he had to do was make sure he didn't slip up and get mauled by those blades... As he ran he saw something, a downed robot? And what looked like another mobian on top of it, destroying it. "HEY GOUT OUT OF HERE, RUN!" he shouted, altering course so he was running straight at the feline mobian. In an attempt at offense, he jumped forward, spinning in midair and flinging the round shield like a Frisbee at one of the cutters heads. The shield hit home and left a nasty dent in the head plate of one of the cutters. It swerved off of pursuit, momentarily taken out of the fight that was sure to come... Posted by: Miroir Jan 28 2011, 05:43 PM ((I hope it's okay for me to control the Cutters a bit! XD )) Kick. Kick. Kick. Progress was slow. Kick. Kick. Ki- Just as the robot wobbled on the edge of the hill, something dashed out into the little valley below. Miroir paused mid-kick, blinking at the surprisingly fast figure, followed by three more... From this distance, she couldn't make out the first one, but the trio behind were pretty much the most easily-recognizable things she knew. "Robots!" She didn't say it for anyone to hear her, but within seconds the tall thing started running in her direction. That got her more excited. Just what she'd wanted; more robots! Once the leader started up the hill, Miroir realized that it wasn't a member of the swarm. It wasn't mechanical at all, but some kind of person. How nice! She hadn't seen anything alive, besides grassmeese and skurrls, for days and days and days. The person even said something to her, though in her excitement, she didn't quite make out what the words were. But oh well, it was time for fun! Instead of running away, as Sage had 'suggested', Miroir gave her downed Cutter a final kick and sent it sliding down the hill. Then she ran after, and jumped on its flat underside to use it like a surfboard. A very dangerous surfboard, what with its jagged parts and pointy blade and whatnot. Not to mention the generally rocky dirt it rode over, which got very bumpy very quickly; her ride only lasted a few seconds before she tumbled off, landing on her feet to keep running. Letting the scrap metal tumble where it might, the cat drew a knife with each hand, with a huge grin plastered on her face. "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-!" She ran past the man and literally tackled one Cutter, bowling the robot over and sending it flying back down the incline. Apparently not feeling any sort of repercussions for the impact, she rolled forward before jumping to her feet again, and made a run at the second with both knives at the ready. Posted by: Sage Feb 1 2011, 04:34 AM (of course its ok) Sage watched, almost as if it were slow motion, the cat (he saw that she was female) tackle one of the cutters head on. Is she nuts?!, he thought to himself, running away from the second cutter who was pursuing him. He growled at this, he couldn't turn around and fight like the feline could; he just wasn't at that advantageous a position right now. If he wanted to have a fighting chance at all, he'd have to use his power.... And he found the perfect spot to use it. Running over a hill and jumping, he hid just in front of the small ridge, watching as the robot streaked after the mobian it had its sights upon, only to see that it had lost its quarry. Sage meanwhile was preparing to draw back the curtain on his little secret that he hadn't quite shown yet. His tattoos began to glow brighter, his eyes becoming enveloped in a blue light and crackles of energy snarled and snapped around him, drawing the cutters attention. It charged him, whirling blades preparing to fall the dog mobian like a tree. But sage leaped straight up, flying with the aid of one of the runes on his back. The cutter did not expect this, and as such had no way to stop the mobian when it landed on top of it and ripped its head clean off. "One down" Sage said, his voice echoing slightly with his powers. "Two more to go" he said again, rising into the air, and flying back towards where the ally was fighting. The cutter Miroir knocked over lied on its back, helpless as it tried to get back up to where it could fight again. Luckily, a friend was on its way to try and turn the cat into confetti streams. The cutter sage had damaged, blazed on a path towards Miroir, one of its optical sensors damaged from Sage's attack. Posted by: Miroir Feb 2 2011, 12:42 AM Aww, the robot ran away! Miroir was disappointed; instead of facing her, the cutter continued to chase Sage, and sped out of reach within seconds. She decided to leave it be, since running wasn't her strong point... Besides, there was still another robot nearby! She ran down the hill as best she could, and quickly dispatched the flipped Cutter with a well-aimed stab. This involved crawling on top of the machine, which wobbled about like a top as she worked; Miroir nearly toppled off off a couple times before she finally pulled her knife out. The end result was that she was facing the wrong way, unable to see the shield-damaged robot tearing towards her. The cat only heard it coming at the last second. Shriiiiii-KRNCH She jumped off her 'toy', though not fast enough to avoid flying shrapnel. Several pieces showered her, adding a few minor cuts to her face and arms, but the impact between Cutters has a bigger advantage: it stopped the charging machine in its tracks. Forced to back up and throw off the body of its comrade, the second robot lost the element of surprise, and had to face a fully-prepared, knife-wielding crazy woman. They squared off, the Cutter charged, and Miroir started laughing. She didn't end it quickly; unlike the first robot, the cat took her time, dancing around its speedy chainsaw charges and letting her knives bounce off the metal carapace a few times. So preoccupied was she with her 'dance' that she didn't notice Sage's return, or the fact that he was flying. The bluff he'd hidden behind had shielded Miroir from the lightshow, so she was going to be in for a surprise, once she noticed... But for now, the robot took up all her attention. Another charge, another dodge, another burst of laughter. "Haha! Wheeeee!" Posted by: Sage Feb 3 2011, 01:15 AM The robot only proceeded, lunging forward and trying to grind this mobian into woodchips. The working optical sensor could depict that the mobian had been damaged when he had crashed into the destroyed unit. Seizing the opportunity, it increased its attack, lunging forward and trying to fell the enemy, spurred on by the sight of its blood being shed. Sadly this would provide little avail, for being so caught up in trying to destroy the mobian in front of it that it didn't notice the magically powered one that approached behind it. This proved costly, as the consequence was the robots head being kicked off by Sage, the body falling limp as it went offline. With the threat neutralized, Sage gently floated down to the ground, the power receding back to the magical runes. His eyes were no longer a single blue mass, but now back to their normal green hue. He suddenly fell to a kneeling position, breathing heavily. Pain was coarsing through his foot as he didn't move, letting the roaring pain settle down so he could move again. When the pain had settled, he stood up and faced the other mobian, a female cat. "Hey there, are you ok?" Posted by: Miroir Feb 3 2011, 10:34 PM One minute, Miroir was happily dancing with the chainsaw-bot. The next, something flew out of the sky and kicked her 'partner' so hard that pieces flew off, sending it crumpling to the ground. It was obviously dead. She blinked in surprise, staring at the lump of scrap metal, before turning to figure out what exactly had hit it. It wasn't a gun; she would have heard that... Nope, definitely not a gun. Instead, that guy from earlier was floating in the air, marks all over his body glowing magical blue against the sky. The concept was so far out of her league that the cat's jaw literally dropped, leaving her looking as though she'd just found herself face to face with a three-headed sea unicorn... or something. The man landed, and didn't move for several seconds; someone more observant than Miroir might have realized he was in pain. But she wasn't one of those people, and as soon as he turned back to normal, she started talking. Or rather, squealing. "Wooooooooow!" Her voice was as high-pitched as any middle-schooler's, and she didn't stop for breath for several seconds. "You did that? How did you do that! You were all lit up! Even your eyeballs-! What was that? It was so weird! Weird, freaky powers!" She wasn't being judgemental, and definitely wasn't afraid; just... surprised. Definitely curious. Posted by: Sage Feb 4 2011, 12:48 AM Sage blinked as the girl suddenly was asking him questions, wincing a bit as she squealed. He had to pause for a moment to try and replay what she said in his mind to try and figure out what she was asking. "That was...well, that was what you call my special little secret" he said, rubbing his neck and craning his neck to the side. Who was this girl? Why is she asking these things? , he wondered looking the girl up and down. She didn't look that young, not to say that she looked that old however. Her actions seemed to be in relation to her current tone of voice and actions though. Could she really be like this? Or was it just an act? Sage didn't know what to think about it at this point. Then he noticed that she was lightly scratched on her face and arms. "Are you uh, ok?" he asked, moving a bit closer to get a better look. Nothing serious, but he could see some of the shrapnel imbedded in the skin. Sage was no medical expert but he probably figured he could get the metal shards out without any serious threat or harm. "I could patch you up a bit if you want. I’ve also got some spare lunch I can share" he said, setting his pack down, already rifling through the contents. Posted by: Miroir Feb 4 2011, 10:03 PM "Oooooh, secret..." Miroir's mouth formed a little O shape, before she snapped back into her usual grin. "I won't tell anybody! I promise!" As an afterthought, she added, "I don't know anybody anyway." She took in Sage's appearance, though the cat wasn't one to really analyze anything. He was kinda tall, and looked like a doggy of some kind... Plus, he had marks all over him! They had stopped glowing, which definitely said there were freaky powers going on. But hey, they weren't directed at her, so that wasn't too important. The questioning of her 'okay-ness' got the woman's attention, though. She'd been so busy having fun with the robot, she hadn't even noticed the little trickle of blood running down her cheek. "Oh! I have owwies!" She rubbed her face with the back of one hand, in typical feline style. The trickle of red darkened her glove, so she picked at the scratch a little, to dislodge the metal flake. There were several more similar cuts on her arms, which she attacked in similar style. "It's okay, mister doggy. I can fix it," she replied, smiling as brightly as if he'd asked how her day was going. ... Wait, lunch? Fingers still holding a bit of broken something-or-other, Miroir leaned over to try and see inside the bag that Sage was handling. The fact that it was on the ground made it easier to peek into; if he'd been holding it, she would have had to shove her face up next to his. "What's in there?" Posted by: Sage Feb 8 2011, 06:55 PM Sage blinked up at the cat as she proceeded to pick out the metal shards with her own claws. I suppose that’s typical of anyone really, if you've the ability to fix something yourself I suppose you should, he thought, mind returning to the contents of his bag. The way she talked also made him pause in thought, him stealing a glance at her while she was trying to patch herself up. 'Did she say....Owies? Isn't that something like a little kid would say?', he thought to himself, again stealing a glance at her. It didn't seem to be hurting anyone....heck he supposed it was sort of cute. QUOTE "What's in there?" Before he knew otherwise, the cat was looking into his bag trying to figure out its contents. Sage chuckled as he retrieved two plastic wrapped sandwiches from its depths. "This and that" he answered, handing her one of the sandwiches, and then pulling out a thermos from the pack. He poured himself a small cup of hot chocolate and took a swig, Delicious. "Mostly it’s just clothes and stuff that I need to help me get wherever I’m going" he continued, taking a bite of the sandwich. He chewed solemnly for a moment, and then continued speaking when his mouth wasn't full. Manners after all, where something he tried to pride upon himself. "I also keep a couple of flasks of hot chocolate. It's my favorite drink and I can’t get enough of the stuff" he said, chuckling. "Are you sure you don't want me to take a look at those scratches Ms? I could probably clean them up a bit and bandage them" he asked, tilting his head at the feline, watching he carefully. Up until now he hadn't been able to get a good look at her, being distracted with robots and all. Now that he saw her, he could see that she wasn't exactly all there so to speak. But as he said before, it wasn’t hurting anyone so it wasn’t an immediate issue. She was reasonably attractive, looking to be in about her mid-twenties or so. He couldn't see a lot of scars, though he imagined that quite a few were present somewhere, it was rare that someone didn’t have at least one scar nowadays, what with the killer robots on the loose. But he smiled at her, trying to be friendly and nice. "My name is Sage by the way, what’s your name?" Posted by: Miroir Feb 9 2011, 12:05 AM It would become fairly clear that manners weren't something Miroir invested a lot of time in. Or even a little time... Okay, she probably had no idea how to even use a knife and fork. "A sammich!" The cat's face lit up like a Christmas tree as soon as she saw what was offered to her. "For me?! Thank you sooooo much, mister!" As a sign of her appreciation, she ripped the plastic off and stuffed as much sandwich into her mouth as she could. At least it kept her from talking with her mouth full, though she did end up looking somewhat like a chipmunk. She listened as the man continued his explanation of what was in his bag. Come to think of it, she had her own bag! It was back up in the grass, where she'd left it to pounce on that robot. She'd go and get it later; it's not like anyone was going to steal it, right? There wasn't any food, after all. Then he mentioned her scratches. The cat looked down at her arms, seeming surprised to find that they were still there... Or maybe that Sage was actually interested in them. They weren't very deep, and only a couple had started to bleed. They really weren't a big deal. She swallowed the giant mouthful of sandwich, and smiled. "No thanks, mister," Miroir smiled a feline smile, "I can take care of it!" And then she started licking them, as though it were the most natural thing in the world. Of course it was! A cat's tongue does a pretty good job at cleaning things, don't you know. This continued for a few moments, until he spoke again. It hadn't really occurred to her to ask the man's name, since most people didn't stick around enough to talk. But hey, since he'd asked... "Sayj..." The woman frowned as she pronounced it, trying to get the syllables just right. "Nice to meet you, mister! My name is Miroir!" Meer-wahr. Sounded sort of exotic, though she looked pretty normal... Maybe her parents were some of those 'creative' folks. Posted by: Sage Feb 11 2011, 01:01 AM Sage watched the cat eat in-between bites. She ate like a small child....but that was partly contributed to her mental state he guessed. Not that it was totally bad; it sort of made up who she was, even if it didn't seem like it. He didn't believe that Miroir was a bad person, even if she was crazy. She seemed to be a good natured person, if not a little eager and care free. It was just simply who she was, nothing more nothing less. But should he really be making such speculations right now? He had just met her after all. That’s another thing; she just didn't seem that bothered by her injuries. True that they weren’t very deep and cat's toughs have the ability to clean things well, but he still worried some. Had she realized how close she had come to death? Or was it a game to her? All these questions made Sage curious about the cat. Who was she? And why was she so care free? His concentration was broken when he blinked, making him jump in surprise. He was staring, that was rude he should apologize. "Sorry, I was staring into space" he said, rubbing the back of his head and chuckling nervously. "So what are you doing out here Miroir?" Posted by: Miroir Feb 11 2011, 01:37 AM The sandwich really was very good. She'd never had one before, except when she'd stolen one or two from the doctors. They got angry when she did that, so it didn't happen often... Bad doctors being angry was bad. But this guy wasn't a doctor. He didn't have a coat like them, or smell like them, or talk like them. And he gave her a sandwich! It was so nice and soft, and easy to chew! No bones in it, not like the grassmeese and skurrels. Miroir stared at the bread and smushy stuff inside it, wondering what it was, exactly... The man started, so she looked over at him again. Even if she'd noticed he was staring, the cat didn't make anything of it; lots of people had stared at her before, for seconds or longer. Most of them were nice enough not to look down her shirt. "What am I doing?" It sounded as though the answer should be obvious. "I'm smashing robots! There are lots of them here!" She didn't have anywhere else to be, but that fact had never bothered her... Except when it rained. Then she sort of wished for a roof over her head, but at least she had an umbrella! An umbrella that was currently in her bag. "I have a bag," she exclaimed, jumping to her feet and almost dropping what was left of her sandwich. "It's up there! I'll go get it!" With no further explanation, Miroir dashed back up the hill to the tuft of grass she'd been hiding in. Her bag was still there, thankfully not in the path Sage or the robot had taken. "Found it!" She called down the hill before trotting back towards the man, backpack swinging from the hand that wasn't holding her sandwich. "I have a bag too! It's not as big as yours, but it has stuff in it." How... nice. Posted by: Sage Feb 12 2011, 03:28 AM Sage blinked at Miroirs response. "Smashing robots eh? Well you’re doing an awesome job" he said, laughing at the response. It was one of those cute moments he was seeing again with her....or perhaps he had just finally lost his mind too. Smashing robots? That was probably the equivalent of signing your own death warrant out here, considering most of the time robots came in so many numbers that fighting them is usually suicide. Today they got lucky; there was no denying that in Sage's mind. If there had been even one more robot, the situation might have gone south. Two robots and it definitely would've. Throw in three more and game over. Whatever had happened today, be it luck, some deity’s favor, or skill, they were alive....for now. Before he knew it the cat was off, scampering for her bag. Again Sage just blinked, figuring that by now she must not have a long attention span. He waited patiently for her to return with her belongings. Sure enough she returned, bad in hand. "What kind of stuff I wonder?" he asked her, raising an eyebrow at her. He looked down at the bag, not wanting to peruse it without her approval, lest he find something....personal inside. Posted by: Miroir Feb 12 2011, 03:58 AM Someone appreciated how good she was at smashing! No one had ever commented on her abilities, but then again, it's not like there were a lot of people around on these plains. Miroir plopped the canvas sack down on the grass, allowing the contents to rattle around in it. After stuffing the rest of the sandwich in her mouth, she didn't mind answering Sage's question; nothing secret hiding in there. "Here!" Grabbing the back by its bottom, the cat dumped out its contents. "It's just stuff. I have band-aids, water, more band-aids..." 'Band-aids' meant assorted bits of torn cloth, probably for use as bandages or tourniquets. Nothing too exciting in there, not even food, though the umbrella was a bit unusual. The canteen meant to hold water sloshed around quite a bit, sounding rather empty. Miroir didn't seem worried by the fact, instead taking a seat on the ground next to her 'stuff', crossing her legs and blinking up at the man. "So, what are you doing out here, mister? Not smashing robots," she concluded, with a grin on her face. The cat wasn't trying to be mocking, it was just an observation, but who knows how Sage would interpret it? Posted by: Sage Feb 15 2011, 03:03 AM Sage smiled nervously as the cat up-ended her possessions on the ground, littering them everywhere. As she said, there was not more than bandages and cloth in her pack. In some ways he was relieved that there was nothing he would get in trouble for seeing; in others he was slightly concerned at the lack of clothing. How long had she been wearing these clothes? He was surprised that she wasn't getting sick or wasn't feeling any sort of drawback. "What Am I doing out here?" he asked, blinking at the cat. What could he tell her? I’m on the way to look for magical ruins that might explain my powers? Of course, she might be inclined to believe him now that she'd seen his magical powers, those of course that made him glow, made him stronger, faster, and made him fly. But he still was a little reserved on telling people about his situation. It might only make things worse if he told Miroir about him and his past. "I’m traveling to the forest" he said, deciding to tell her some of the truth. "There’s something in the forest I need to find, something that will help me a lot" he said, smiling at the cat. "If I find what I’m looking for.....It'll be really helpful" he said, taking another swig of his hot chocolate. "What're your plans?" Posted by: Miroir Feb 15 2011, 10:22 PM How long had Miroir been wearing those clothes? Good question... She did wash the shirt occasionally, at least, but the pants were questionable Who had time for washing, out here? The water wasn't exactly clean either, thanks to all the horde machinery. She listened as Sage explained why he was out in the grass. He seemed like he didn't know what to say; that didn't bother the cat, since she wasn't really concerned with why he was there. She was just curious, and liked to ask a lot of questions. Miroir perked up at the mention of a forest, though. "Oooh, forest? I haven't seen one here! Not anywhere!" If she had, she probably would have headed for it instead of standing around for the robots to find her... Or maybe not. "I plan to beat up more robots," the woman replied, smile as wide as ever. "Where's the forest? Is it nearby,or far away? Are there robots in it?" Clearly she was oblivious to the fact that if a forest were anywhere close, she'd probably be able to see it. Posted by: Sage Feb 17 2011, 02:03 AM Sage chuckled again at the woman’s curiosity. It was refreshing to meet someone like her, who had a simple goal, for a simple purpose. He himself had a complicated goal and purpose, one that he couldn't set down and go off and join the rebels for. It was too important to him; it wouldn't benefit anyone if he was constantly focusing on something else if he was trying to do something like destroy a robot. Anyone could understand this, anyone. "The forests isn't nearby Miroir, it’s actually a far ways off. I've still got to walk a considerable number of miles, probably going into tomorrow" he said, staring off into the distance. "But to get where I’m going, to get what I want to find....I'd walk from here across the sea. That’s how important this is to me Miroir" he said, looking back to the cat and smiling. "As for your question about robots, where aren't there robots?" he said, laughing. "I imagine there are plenty of robots in the forest my friend, plenty of robots and enemies" he said, thinking about the forests contents. Posted by: Miroir Feb 17 2011, 02:42 AM When she heard that the forest was some distance away, Miroir's smile fell a bit. Far away? It had sounded like fun at the start, but the idea of wandering off in some direction towards something she'd never seen or heard of before was a bit less appealing. Nonetheless, she listened to Sage's description of his goals, and understood; he was sure determined to go to that place, and find what he was looking for! "That's good!" The cat's face radiated honest appreciation, or admiration, or something like that. Whatever emotion it was, she obviously thought that Sage was on the right track. She herself didn't really have anything to work towards. No goals, no destination, no real desire to do anything but smash robots, and occasionally eat and sleep... But maybe she should! These robots were getting boring. Would forest robots be different? They couldn't be cutty chainsaws like these ones; those wouldn't work very well in the trees. "Maybe I should go somewhere," she mused, blinking gray eyes up at the sky. "Somewhere with different robots... Then I could get even better at smashing them!" The part about 'enemies' flew right over her head, though. Perhaps she simply hadn't understood the difference, or was ignorant of any enemy other than these local mechanical menaces. But Miroir could obviously fend for herself, right? Right? Posted by: Sage Feb 26 2011, 01:54 AM (first busy, then tests, then busy again infydizzy.gif sorry for the wait fade) Sage laughed slightly and nodded. "Know your enemy, know the best way to brake em' sounds good to me" he said, smiling slyly at the cat. She really was out of her head wasn’t she? Though that’s not a bad thing during times such as these. Heck it was brightening his day and probably would brighten other peoples day as well. Those who are insane are the sane in this time of madness, or some sort of weird saying like that. "Careful not to get overwhelmed with enemies or anything, then you'd be one fried kitty" he said jokingly, smiling at her. "I hear some robots have lasers, unlike, these guys who have blade" he said, jerking to one of the smoldering wrecks that were once a cutter. "They sound dangerous enough for ya?" he said teasingly. What was he saying? He shouldn’t be encouraging her to go off and find such danger? He had let his friendliness outweigh his concern for her. But then again, was it really his choice? She was after all a woman; one had just met at that. She had to choose her own path, her own destiny. Shaking his head of his doubt, he returned his gaze to the feline. "So....what now? Are you heading my direction or are you going somewhere else?" Posted by: Miroir Feb 27 2011, 01:27 AM ((Don't worry about it!)) "Right!" This man understood! Knowing the best way to smash the robots was oh so important; it was one reason Miroir had stayed in this place for so long. But now that she knew the best way to smash these robots, they had gotten boring... That meant it was time for a change. She nodded at Sage's comment about lasers and frying. She'd run into a few that used lay-zurs before, and they were a lot harder to deal with than the little chainsaw ones. Mostly because they would shoot instead of moving close to investigate. Her tail had gotten singed a couple times, and even now she wasn't the best at smashing those ones. If there were more of those in other places, she could get better! "I'm gonna find more robots," she replied, sort of answering the man's question. "Bigger ones! Umm..." Getting to her feet again, she looked around at the world around them, as though expecting a signpost or something that would tell her which direction the machines she wanted would lie in. At the lack of such evidence, Miroir frowned, before pointing off in a random direction. "I'll go... that way!" There were robots pretty much everywhere on Mobius, so there wasn't really a wrong way to go. Posted by: Sage Mar 4 2011, 03:40 AM "Find more robots huh? Well I can't blame you for doing what you want to do" Sage said, nodding at the felines words. She had her goals, he had his goals, and they were going their separate ways. In some ways he was sad that she was going, he sort of liked her. She had a spirit all her own, someone who might be good in a pinch....or catastrophic. But mostly he was admiring her goal of destroying robots. True it seemed a wasted effort that more could just be made, but for everyone destroyed it was more resources lost to the horde he guessed. Standing up, he looked the way she was pointing. "Well Miroir, I'm sure that there are plenty of robots for you to go to town on that way" he said, laughing and repressing an urge to ruffle her hair. From her spirit he almost mistook her for someone younger than she looked. "I think I'll be heading out too. I've got my own stuff to do" he said, shouldering his pack. "I hope I run into you again Miroir, this was...fun" she said, chuckling at the last word. Was it so crazy that he found robot smashing with a psycho person a little fun? He wasn't sure but he was sure of the fact that this woman wasn't all bad. As he walked away he stopped, turning around he smiled at the cat and waved goodbye, only hoping to see her again...alive. (end to a good thread ^^) Posted by: Miroir Mar 4 2011, 04:10 AM Smiling, she nodded at Sage's statement. It was what she wanted to do! Everyone had something they wanted to do... Like him. He had some stuff to look for, and he was going to do it. The thought of going in his direction had occurred to her, but Miroir knew she wasn't going to be much help. She didn't like weird freaky powers, and had no idea where they came from. And really, she didn't want to know, either. The world was weird enough as it was. The cat was glad to hear that there were more robots in the direction she'd randomly picked. Chances were good that machines existed just about everywhere, but it was good to hear it from another person. Hey, it was good to see another person; Miroir couldn't remember the last time anyone else had been out here in the plains. Who knows? Maybe there were more people that way... "Yeah," she grinned, "It was fun!" Sage smiled and turned away, taking his backpack and heading off towards the forest. "Bye, mister Say-ge!" When he waved, she returned the gesture enthusiastically, one gloved hand high in the air. The woman kept watching until he disappeared over a ridge; then she gathered up her own things, and tried to remember which direction she'd been pointing in earlier. Was it that way? Or that way? Oh well, it didn't matter; Miroir knew she would find more robots. ((Thread complete! infyyay.gif )) |
