Good day, ARM :-)

I'm in a rare mood today, which has me spamming very liberally on the forum. It's been a long time; I'd pretty much forgotten a lot of the fun times I'd had here, or I guess online in general.

After totally overdoing the social thing yesterday on email and whatsapp, mainly with people I'm friendly with IRL - but also some long-distance friends - today I'm actually not all worn out from that. I think my comfort zone for those kinds of thing may have been growing a bit lately :-)

Over the past several years I've needed to spend most of my time and energy IRL/offline, and also went pretty much cold turkey on online stuff. I'd actually had far more bad things and imbalances in my life than I'd ever imagined... It's been a really long and intense story for me. I guess you could call it being about me finding myself :-)

I have it on good authority that things have been going on well here, with a lot of ongoing projects and general community things and such.

I'm really happy to hear that :-). Pessimistically, I had been expecting most of this to die off pretty soon after the release and excitement of AT3. So it's really pleasant to see how many people and projects are still active in this general fan community :-)

There's huge amounts that I could share here, so many stories I have from recent years, but I'll leave those for other times. But I like now, rather than living in the past or future.

Seems like I'm actually pretty spontaneous and entertaining IRL these days too, so *finally* I think my IRL persona has reached parity with, or in some ways surpassed my online personas from past times. Online and hobby and entertainment things are no longer the huge crutch that they used to be :-)

For those of you familiar with the Shaman King anime; I've been able to find my "Best Place". But out of long habit and drive, I continue - almost daily - to improve on that :-). I kinda - strongly - want to be the best me that I can (naturally) be. That's kind of a life-long adventure. I'm looking forwards to continuing to pleasantly surprise myself :-)

Sorry for all the rainbows and unicorns stuff. Mainly, visiting this forum again after so long has reminded me of where I am now, compared to back then. I'll dial it down a bit :-)

I reckon that's enough for one post. Take care ARM, and enjoy your weekends ☆.

It's always nice to see you visit, wizzard! I'm happy to see you're doing well ^_^
Feel free to spam whenever you visit  I certainly don't mind it. Keeps the topics alive honestly.

But yeah, being the best person we can naturally be is something we should all strive for. It's a life long process as you keep growing and figuring out exactly what you want. Just keep journeying on :-3 It's always okay to change your mind along the way as well.

Thanks Arcadia :-)

I'm a bit busy with work stuff this week, so for now I'll just post in this topic :-).

Right now it's 10 AM and I'm at a Cafe Europa ("attempt no landings here!"), having brunch and too many coffees. Part of my strategy for being a bit more sociable in general at least once a week :-). Though technically I'm also out on weekly grocery shopping and some other errands :-).

Telecomuting and incredibly flexible work hours are awesome. I abuse it a bit sometimes, but my conscience always turns me into a workaholic as my main hobby, for a while after :-)

Personal trainer/gym stuff has also been really good for me over the past two months. Technically I'm doing body building; but again I don't really look into the past or future. For the moment it mainly means some body aches (leg day is a bit of a killer...) but I'm used to putting myself through intense and bad things; mainly it's a novelty for me to use that kind of masochistic streak in a constructive way :-). I mainly find it generally therapeutic and it improves my mood and energy a bit more than their already pretty high level...

And before then, some months of (healthy) weight loss. I figured that I'd improved things on the inside to a point where it was time to start working on the outside instead, while still maintaining the inside stuff :-)

Well, of course all this stuff does increase my general attractiveness (personality, appearance, etc) if I wanted to start dating - though it's also really good for life outside of that kind of thing; but again my mind is in the present. Partly because I can overthink and get *really* unhappy really quickly. Overthinking is also something I'm medicated and treated for; and have *also* had to put a lot of work into. For the moment I've managed to *finally* kick that habit and have been overthinking-free and pretty happy for the past several weeks :-)

That's one reason I write walls of text. I like to express things and get them out of my head rather than them getting huge by themselves. And well, thanks to the *other* main thing I'm now medicated and treated for - extremely intense and disabling life-long/chronic social anxiety; I can do a better job of communicating things IRL or getting advice and help on things I never could before :-)

Anyhow, I need to get back to my errands and work stuff, and also fit in seeing a friend for coffee a bit later this evening :-).

Chat again soon ARM, and I'll likely be spamming other parts of the forum again when I feel like it and have time and energy to spare for that.

Hope you're all having a great week :-)

Wizzard.

Working out and getting fit is something I need to work on just in general. I want to improve my outward appearance and just feel better overall. I really need to just buckle down and take charge on this for my own personal health both physically and mentally.

But yeah, thanks for stopping by again, wizzard! Always nice reading your walls of texts :3

It's good to see you're doing so well, wiz!

I need to take a page from the same book and kick myself in the ass and start thinking more like the way you are, instead of taking up old habits from the dark days like I have been recently.

Hi all :-)

Just dropping by really quickly :-)

Some activity in the mailing list reminded me of the forum.

It's been a long time, but hope you've all been doing well.

I have!

AT and JRPGs haven't been a big part of my life for years now; have moved on to a bunch of other interests since then. But still very much into tech stuff and programming/computer stuff. That's more or less my life, as well as my career :-)

Also I've been really really really enjoying a super hermit/introvert lifestyle, of next to zero social contact with humans in general. Except for maybe one or two close IRL friends, very infrequently.

My main regular reminder is my AT music soundtracks that play automatically on my car radio while I'm driving :-). It's the same kind of thing which got me into the series to begin with.

If it comes to things like gaming and RPGs, I guess recently I've been playing some Diablo 3. And random things off of steam. Still a huge fan of Visual Novels, and for a change I've been playing them rather than making them. I was really happy to be able to buy and play, eg the translated "Higurashi When They Cry" series. Another really nice VN which I can also recommend is the "fault milestone" series.

Some anime I watched recently, "Recovery of an MMO Junkie", made me think of that. As well as some countless other anime that involve MMOs/alternate worlds. Plus, a whole lot of "abridged" anime series. eg, "Sword Art Online Abridged" is IMO far better than the original series :-)

I also spend a lot of time watching vids on youtube these days. Have some favorite youtubers that I follow. I mainly got into that from being a fan of the "Yandere" anime trope (Yuno Gasai FTW), and then finding out about "Yandere Simulator", but more especially, some really entertaining and funny youtubers who play game development snapshots :-)

Spoiler: click to toggle

Anyhow, keep well all :-)

Laters!

Wiz has reminded me that I haven't played or listened to anything AT related in quite some time either... that needs to be remedied XD

Also, Merry Christmas, wiz!
