Hi~ it's been a while :yay:
I've just watched despicable me2 recently~ so I've created a drawing of cartoon cross-over between wreck-it-ralph and despicable me

It is really a challenge to draw them. I'm not used to cartoon style, and they look rather stiff :s
Not to mention coloring it (especially the skin) is really overkill to me. I spend hours on those cheeks

well, without further ado, here's the link to the deviation~ [further text too xD ]

Hi, Icy~ ^^
I'm happy to see your artworks have been carried over here as well. Your latest work is very nice~
I love the crossover idea between Wreck-it-Ralph and Despicable Me 2. It fits really well honestly. Wonderful job on the art. It looks really great. Your hard work can definitely be seen in the finished product =3

Hi Mom! :D
ehehe~ I'm thinking of carrying over food shinobi too, but it's pretty much dead currently... and I can't handle it's change of function because of various reasons.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it~ I've been going out of my comfort zone without noticing it lately o-oa

I hope to be updating my deviantArt soon :3
I've several sketches up my sleeve... I just need to develop them

Hm, well, that's a good thing :-3 Sometimes we have to go out of our comfort zones in order to discover something new about ourselves. You never know until you try as they say.

There are some things I've been meaning to carry over to the new forum too but so busy :^^;: I completely understand where you're coming from there.

Oh~? I look forward to seeing what you have in the works ^o)

Ah man, this pic is a good depiction of what society makes me feel like on a daily basis, like a slow descension into a maelstrom of madness :^^;: It's definitely different from your usual work.

I'm not sure how to pin this one down to any one train of thought, there's just too many possible representations. Though, "inspiriring" is a word that comes to mind.

Hi, icy~ :-3 Long time no see. Or chat
Hope everything has been going well for you ^_^

Love the new artworks. They definitely portray some deep messages depending on how one interprets them. And I think they can be interpreted in numerous ways. Everyone can relate to the feelings portrayed in both. Being chained and bound by the pressures of society. Everyone trying to tell you what to do and who to be. And then the freedom to break away and not conform to what society says. To be your own person, stand up for what you believe in, and make your own path in life. It's a bumpy road with lots of paths but eventually you'll find your way.

Really like that you're not afraid to go in different directions with your artwork :-3

It feels suffocating but we're stuck there :/ I hope you and mommy can overcome the hurdles in life together
on a side note, do you think it's better to create an artwork that have a statement instead of just a random doodle of a character? :o

yes, there's plenty room for representation. I was contemplating about the title because I think it narrows down the interpretation quite a lot, but I'm glad you think of it as "inspiring" :)

Hi mommy *hugs*
it has really been a long time! I haven't got the time to reply because of tons of assignments (although i read the post ages ago...)
I'm currently procrastinating (I should be studying for my exam *sob*)

I'm glad you love them ^_^
I always love your feedback mommy<3 I really really appreciate it *hugs*
I love how you interpret the message in the artwork too

I'll be having summer holiday soon, and I hope I can get to work on the many sketches I have laying around or even practice my drawing skills. Do you have any request? I'll try my best to whip up something nice for you >w<

I can totally relate to having no time nowadays  I've been so busy with work related things. I hardly have time to breath anymore. But I understand procrastinating too  I wish you luck on your exams~ Hopefully they will go very well for you.

No problem ^_^ I'm happy to give feedback *hugs* I love seeing your new pieces of art. I loved drawing things when I was a kid. As I got older though that kind of faded away for me. Though that's also when I got into writing poetry and just writing in general. So, I went from one creative thing to the next really :XD: I'm a better writer than an artist.

Oh? Ooh, sounds fun ^o) Hopefully you'll get some time to work on those. I'll be having holidays coming up soon too. Where I'm actually off from work which I desperately need a break. Hm? A request? :O *thinks* I'm thinking something holiday themed with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up soon and fairly soon. I'll let your creative mind go places with that idea :-3

True, and that tasks us with the job of making it better -_- I'm sure we will~ Thank you ^_^ That's an interesting question, because I feel that even a random character art could be interpreted as making a statement. Anything from the way the character looks, to what they're wearing, or even the pose, etc. Particularly, because it takes inspiration to come up with the design, and that (or those) inspiration(s) in and of themselves could have deeper meanings that manifest in the character design or posture. Sometimes people ask why a character was drawn a certain way, and the answer could be anything from "because it looked good" to some deep explanation of whatever gave the artist the idea. To me, art is art, except for "modern art"... that I don't get at all :^^;:

You're right, it does, but I think that most people are going to view an artwork more through their own "lens" that they see the world though than the title itself. They're going to see what they want to see, basically. I kind of think of titles of an artwork as a sort of guidance by the artist to point the viewer in a general direction of hidden meaning.

Thank you mom :) My exams went alright~

Well, at least it's good to know you found your next passion for your artistic side xD
It's a good way to relieve stress too!

I have some time xD; Just getting to the right mood and getting a satisfying result.
Woot! I believe you're getting your well deserved break ^o^ wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
(unfortunately I saw this a tad too late >.>'' so I think a Thanksgiving or Christmas drawing might be too late. But if you insist, I'll do it for you :cute: Just tell me what you want :3 )

wow, that's true. Thank you for sharing your thought! I find your answer really interesting!! ^_^
I'd recommend a user on deviantArt that I like. Some of his artwork can really make you think! AquaSixio
and yeah... "modern art" can be hard to get. I went to this contemporary art gallery on my vacation thinking it'd be interesting.. to be disappointed :'( Not many artwork/installation caught my eye

icy! :yay: *hugs her* It has certainly been a while ^_^ I'm happy to see you~
Glad to hear your exams went alright. Always a stressful time. And you're just happy when they're finally over.

You definitely do have to be in the right mood to do any artistic related. But it is a very good stress reliever for sure :-3
And nice new art work! I love it ^o) I'm very curious about how you made the green pieces at the bottom :O
Very beautiful and upbeat though. Perfect for a greeting card.

Hm, as for a request it's been very cold and stressful lately around here honestly
I'd like to see something very warm and peaceful feeling. Something that would put anyone at ease :-3

nyaww~ *hugs mommy back*
yup, it's always a mixed feeling of "it's finally over" and "ugh, I-wished-I-knew-the-answer-to-that-question" sort of feeling xD;

uhuh. I almost finish this drawing which I only need a finishing touch... but I'm lazzyyyy *rolls around*
ahaha yeah, when you're bored, sleepy, stressed... a hobby of yours is always a good way to relieve all stress.
Thanks for the complement :cute: those green pieces were killing me. Well, since it's paper quilling, you take a strand of a long piece of paper and roll it? . To get that fringed effect, you have to cut them like this:
Posted Image
allmost all the way...around the length of A4paper. The width of the paper isn't more than 5mm so you have to be really careful not to cut too much or you have to start all over again
oh, that's also how you make tassles ^_^

noted your request! I'll post it up here when I'm done :3

I love "It Smells Familiar" The facial expressions are great in that one ^o)

icyDETOX is great as well for the message you're trying to get across. I think the imagery you used really drives the point home. Very nice :-3

And no worries about my request. Take your time ^_^
