The moment we took a step inside the hotel, I was completely mesmerized by its decoration. Indeed, ‘The Reef’ was a fitting name for a hotel such as this. And there’s even a decoration that looked suspiciously similar to the character from a certain movie. Ah, I remembered the time when Luciano and I used to watch that together… I really missed him now... "My my, who might you two be?" A voice brought me back to reality. I certainly hoped that I didn’t do anything strange when I was reminiscing about home. I cleared my throat before looking at the person in front of... I didn’t see anyone. "Huh?" I looked at my sides, but no one was there, except for Azle. Was that just my imagination? Hmm, I swear I could see something at the corner of my eye… "…!" I reflexively jumped backwards at the sudden appearance of the Ge before me. Uh, whoops. I didn’t offend him, did I? Better say sorry to him right now. "I…I apologize for my rudeness, Sir. I was spacing off and, uh…" I ended up scratching my head while looking goofy. Edited by Hall Monitor, Jul 11 2013, 05:47 AM.

----Ilsa--- I smacked my forehead, as the queen herself had to remind me, about the functions of my omni-glass. Well not my fault entirely. I prefered traditional maps over the holographic ones, that the Omniglass could provide. This was the Black Forest after all! Well, it wasn`t as bad as the Bermuda Triangle, but people could get reall lost in those forests! Especially when trees decided to move on their own, or mysterios, magic fog started to cover your tracks. Of course we had civilisation up here, streets, cities, hospitals, but there was also wilderness. I sighted. What a good thing, I would be on a river and not in the mountains. I lifted my eyebrow as I heard, that Lizbeth admitted that there had been a supply-package and now it was - gone. But were would be no use on getting mad on a little girl (Queen/Goddess!), who had come probably hungry from a very cold place. After all it wasn`t my boat, but hers and just lend for convenience sake. ----A---- I would have giggled about the displayed naivety of that child, who also happened to be the avatar and the queen. Maybe Ilsas hint, had been to subtle or the busy child had never had the time to read (or be read) the "Three musketeers" from Dumas. More important than the protagonists themselves, was their antagonist Richelieu, which was the man behind the king. Ilsa surely didn`t idolize that woman. Her voice had never hold admiration or blind awe, just stealthed sarcasm. I was relived to her, that we would get training, but a part of me also wondered, if Ilsa and me could make it. Be on the hotel Großer Bär before Trinitas Eve. But that somehow irked me. "What would happen, if we don`t make it, until then?" Reality had showed us, that if you were in haste, destiny liked to spoil your plans. Ilsa and me watched in silence as the queen wove some kind of magic, without a real incantation. So, the Vladescu was dangerous? Well, every Vladescu was to a certain degree. Like every human could be dangerous. But that wasn`t the reason, Ilsa seemed to be disturbed. Some kind of other realisation must have crossed her mind. My companion staggered down the stairs, before arriving at the bottom of them and pausing for a moment, to place some money on the counter, before leaving the bakery. I flapped with my wings and croaked loudly, as the young woman, crossed the street without looking left or right and thus- nearly forgotting her bycycle. "Have- have you seen that?", she stuttered and her eyes went wide. "Person disintegrating into butterflies? Yes. Insanely, powerful, magic being erasing memories from people just with words-Yes! After all, we kinda share the same point of view." "Thanks, Captain Obvious-" "Every time for you." "Just let´s go home and- bringing it over." "Packing? She nodded. "Buying supplies for the ship?" Again a nod. "Talking your grandma, without upsetting her about the fact, that you have been contracted as a justice-figher-" "-Squire", she interjected "- for a country and kingdom, you could care less, normally?" "Normality died the moment this child, went into the bakery", Ilsa retorted dryly. "And who said, that I don`t love my country?" "Uhm- everytime you whine about taxes and government?" "Tell me of one citizen on earth, who doesn`t whine about that?" "Those who doesn`t have to pay or are in the government itself?" Ilsa shrugged her shoulders, while myself ruffled inexisting feathers and hopped at the steering wheel. Time to go home and try to explain...things. I was surprised that this hotel is really decorated like the real coral reef. With the fishes around, it's starting to look like we're in the sea. Plus, the walls are blue and decorated with bubbles, and there are many fish and sea living-beings. The reception desk is decorated in a way which I find...cool. "My my, who might you two be?" I looked at the source of the voice. It was a Ge a bit shorter than me. Didn't Queen Lizbeth mentioned about a Ge asking our identity? Right, we need to say a sentence about ourselves as well, but before saying that, I turned my attention at Mark when he said "Huh?" then look at his sides, then suddenly jumped backward and looking goofy. At first he looked like a reliable person, but maybe I was wrong. Not that I can tell now. Well, you see, we're here because of an order, you could say. As for who I am, I am but a bird that has left the nest. Was that all I need to say? Even if I forgot to say something, maybe I can say that later, or Mark can do it instead...maybe. |

| Ah, that’s right! I was supposed to say something akin to that as a password. Clearing my throat, I looked at him in the eyes and said, "I am but a traveler that seeks distant lands." |

------------------------ Reazle & Mark ------------------------ "I…I apologize for my rudeness, Sir. I was spacing off and, uh…" after he noticed the Ge. "Sir? My my, while I do serve the Kingdom, I don't remember being knighted. But then again, I am so old that it could have just slipped my mind." He let go a heartily laugh. "Well, you see, we're here because of an order, you could say. As for who I am, I am but a bird that has left the nest," said Reazle, right after. "I am but a traveler that seeks distant lands," Mark followed. The Ge smiled. "My my so I was right. Welcome, Mr. Graettia, Mr. Calma," his voice diminished to a whisper. "Do not speak of the reasons that brought you here. My my, it's yet to dangerous," and went back to its normal volume. "Your rooms are ready and waiting. I can take you there right now, if you so desire," and once again back to a whisper, "but I must warn you that once you have reached your respective rooms, for reasons of your own safety and of our dear Queen, you shall not be allowed to leave until Trinitas Eve. My my, don't worry however, as you'll be provided with the food and entertainment you so desire, as long as it is within my reach to provide them. "So, would you two like to be escorted to your rooms? Or do you still have business in our beautiful Sydney, my my." He bowed slightly as he waited for their answers, his tentacles reaching to the ground. Edited by Sonwe, Jul 17 2013, 04:15 AM.

After we uttered the password, the Ge welcomed us, but not before giving a warning to not speak of the reason that brought us here. I nodded slightly as a response. There ought to be danger if one worked for the Queen herself, I suppose. Not that I mind, as I was often exposed to it back in Italy. "Your rooms are ready and waiting. I can take you there right now, if you so desire," the Ge said before lowering his voice, but I must warn you that once you have reached your respective rooms, for reasons of your own safety and of our dear Queen, you shall not be allowed to leave until Trinitas Eve. My my, don't worry however, as you'll be provided with the food and entertainment you so desire, as long as it is within my reach to provide them." "So, would you two like to be escorted to your rooms? Or do you still have business in our beautiful Sydney, my my," he asked us. I didn’t particularly have any other things to do in this town, except for sightseeing and flir---ahem, acquainting myself with the townspeople, which I wasn’t terribly interested to do for now. Azle might have a different thing in mind though. I looked at him and said, "Sir Azle, what do you think? I don’t particularly have anything to do in the town and probably want to rest earlier." The Forgotten didn`t like subways. Far away from the shiny main-stations, graffiti-decked walls, marked the entrance to a whole different world. A dangerous world, which would swallow people like her, if she wasn`t cautious with every step she took. Ilsa shudderd, as long-fallen tiles cracked under her shoes. Normaly she was not a milquetoast, but this man-made structures, gave her the creeps. Even when it was day on the surface, this place was immersed in eternal dimness, that contrasted with the stark white walls, which threw the echo of her steps around for miles. At night it was worse. No person with at least, half a brain, would have gone down here, without a weapon. 'Congrats, Ilsa! You are part of that 8%, that go down for sure', Marisol snickered on her shoulder. 'For gods sake, shut up, Mari! You aren`t helpful now!', 'You should have replenished that pepper-spray of yours' 'Oh, i did.' Now it was the turn for the crow-like Arcanus to look surprised. 'When?' 'After we passed the ferry? When you snoozed half of the day away? ' 'What ferry?' 'See, Mari? You sleep so soundly, that you wouldn`t have noticed it, if I would have gone ashore.' 'That I would have noticed', the bird replied sourly. 'But that doesn`t explain, were you got stuff to refill it.' I found things', the woman quipped, while glancing around the next corner, with a little mirror. 'You know, that this could put you into trouble?' 'Why should I care?' This labyrinthine underground system, made her queasy and feeling like she would be trapped in a maze, -which was kinda approbiate- , which didn`t made it more tolerable. Not that she was claustrophobic. At least, she had believed until now, that she hadn`t been a candidate for that. Creeping around like a ghost, so that hopefuly nobody would notice her presence. Which would be a double-edged sword, then if something would happen, nobody would hear her. Wait that wasn`t correct. If somebody would hear her, they wouldn`t come to help. Like every country-mouse, she had grown up with the stories and reports, about underground-streetgangs and secret turf-wars in those tunnels. Her reason to be afraid, wasn`t just because she was over-paranoid this moment. "I would love to be in Crete and not here", the female murmured. "Sitting in a Taverna with a good Ráki or Minós to drink? Count me in!", the bird whispered back. Ilsa nodded in agreement. She would have prefered the encounter with a minotaur, than with thugs. But instead of a lurking minotaur, you got homeless, pocket-thieves and Vladescu-teenagers, with too much time and too less money. Easily recognizable with their sunglasses, since it was still painful to hush around, when the light was reflected by nearly white walls. On a second thought, maybe it was better just being violated, than being violated and eaten alive. It was like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. None of that would be pleasant. Ilsa fiddled with the onmiglass, while looking every 30 Seconds up, to glance around warily. Since thhe subway-system wasn`t just at one level, but spread on mutliple levels, getting the right map, was a hassle. 'How you survived until now, is really a true miracle to me.' 'Do it better, Mari!' 'I would if I could.' Not even a Ge would have wanted to live down here, since concrete wasn`t much to their liking. But that didn`t mean, that there weren´t those individuals, who tried to make a living, in the abandoned tunnels, which were far more deep down. Comparing her position, Ilsa was on the top-level of the maze, which was closest to the surface. Ilsa now faced a two-way junction. 'Which way, Ilsa?' 'Not sure. Acccording to map, it should be the middle-passage and then straight ahead...' 'But...ahem...there are only two tunnels here, Ilsa.' 'Thanks, for stating the obvious, moron.' 'Did you ever heard the tale, that deep underground there is a whole trading place run by Ge?' "A Ge-market? Nah, think that is the wrong corner. This isn`t Chicago after all-" 'But this place is- "Wait..." The raven-like Arcanus sailed from her shoulder and the mini-anchor clacked against the floor, as she landed on the concrete. Her coins reflected the light of the jittering lighting. 'I can feel wind from here.' "The last time you said that, it was just an ventilator", she reminded her Arcanus, while rolling her eyes. "How can you even feel currents?" 'Just follow my lead.' "But the next lamp in there is so far away..." Where she stood, was a lamp, but 5 metres forward, the light flickered and left a spot, where the light didn`t reach. 'Do you want to be trapped forever here?' "No!", she hissed, as quiet as she could. Ilsa could feel how her heart pounded in her ribcage, just by looking into the darkness. Cautious she stepped into the left tunnel. Touching one side of the damp tunnel-wall, she slowly went forward. 'What of there is a junction in the dark part and people are lurking already there?' As her right foot sent an empty plastic-bottle, skittering across the floor, she freezed immediately. Eyes went wide and tried to pry details out of the dark spot. Sweat dripped her eyebrowws down, while coldness iced her innards with a frosting called "fear". Thump. Thump. Thump. Ilsa gritted her teeth and pushed her feet inch for inch forward. Without noticing it, her breath ad become ragged, over the last few minutes. Thump. Thump. Thump. All her senses were alerted and it was painful. Her dentist would reprimand her for all the teeth grinding, that she did in this few minutes. Thump. Thump. Thump. After a while, Ilsa realized, that the pounding sound, wasn`t just an overstretched imagination of her own heart-beat. It was real. She stopped dead in her tracks. Panic started to claw on the edges of her conscious. Her fingers trembled and she started to freez, because the her clothes were drenched with sweat. 'What could that be? The pounding got louder. Then there followed a thin sound. Similiar how glass was breaking. 'What do they do?' 'How do you know, there are multiple people involved?' 'Uhm...' Stepping forward, the tunnel opened left and right, into a quadratic hall. It was badly iluminated, but still better, than the tunnel before. In the middle of the room, wood settles were standing. The trash-bins beside them, had been robbed of their baskets, so only the framing metal was still left. On the left side of the wall, rails were running into the darkness of another tunnel. So this was a waiting plattform. But instead of a bunch of teenagers, there was only a single Ge around. Which didn`t mean, that this was less dangrous, since he pounded his fists into wall and fragment-tiles were flying across the room. 'A demented Ge?' 'Maybe he doesn`t like the graffiti?' 'But destroying the tiles for it? He will be in trouble for that. And why should it be his concern, what is written on that wall?' 'Maybe it is a racistic thing?' 'Then how did that survived so long? This isn`t even the deepest, hard-to-reach place down here.' 'I would say it is fresh.' 'Do you think it will attack us?' 'Seems that his head, is more concerned with smashing the smeared tiles off.' 'Why isn`t the police coming?' It was a small miracle itself, that the actions of that Ge, hadn`t attracted yet, any bystanders or the police. Looking further around- 'There! Moving stairways, Ilsa!' Really. On the right side, was an archway, whose hints of glinting steel indicated - 'Exit!', thought the woman desperately. As silent as she could, she tried circle the Ge, as far as possible. Since the stairs were out of work, she tentatively stepped on them. If those went back to life, she didn`t want to be thrown back or forth. But as she heard another suspect sound, Ilsa bolted out of the subway station, like if hellhounds were on her heels. 'YOU probably just beat the records for terrified sprinters, my dear' "Air!" Sufficient for a polis the streets where full with people of the most different ethnics and origins. Ilsa wasn`t a woman for the polis. The last time she had been there, was on a school-trip, since it was obligatory for every german student, to see the center of the semi-independent country once. Of course, for bored students, there were more important things to see. Like the next bar, gasoline station or lottery shop, who would sell alcohol to them. Trying to make history accessible to a bunch of desinterested magi-students, was as much of a waste of time, as trying to teach a goldfish singing pop songs. Ilsa was truly not a bigcity-girl. She used, to be able to reach on end of the city easily within two hours, but this was Berlin. Two hours would be merely enough, to cross through one district and there where twelve of them. "Finally here", the stressed woman exclaimed, while sitting down on a bench to catch her breath again. 'You know, sitting on a bench, like a sitting duck, is also an invitation for-' "Geez, Mari! Stop it!" 'But look at your Omni-Glass. The hotel should be in the next street.' Scrambling to her legs, she left the bench. "I hope they have a night portier on duty, otherwise..." ---Vorombola--- This Wyvern. Yes, it suddenly came out of nowhere. Why is it here? Even though this was supposed to be a concert. Even though its habitat is the forest. Even though we paid for the ticket already. I don't like this and the fireworks people throw at it. It was not in the concert's list of events, yes. "Ugh... L-Let go of me already!!" This old man is now clinging to Andry. Why is he doing that? Even though at this situation you should be evacuating yourself. Even though there's a dragon in front of us now. Yes, the dragon is now literally in front of us, breathing fire and all. I may not look like it, but I'm very scared. My tail is tense, yes. And just in a moment, the dragon starts its attack toward him. He'll be eaten. He covered his front by crossing his arms, in an attempt to defend from it. Yes, naturally it won't change anything, of course. "A-AAAHHH!!!" This is it. Nice knowing you. ---Andry--- In a blink of an eye, everything stopped and a girl appeared. "Yeah, I don't know how to sing. Anyways, Andry, could you come down here in the stage? Oh, wait! I should do something about this Wyvern. Hang on!" I can't believe my eyes, but she clapped her hands and the Wyvern exploded into countless dragonflies of many colors that flew away to the horizon. "W-wha... what did you just do!?" Looking at the current situation, I can say that she's the one behind all this time stopping as well. "Now you can come down here. Don't worry about the man clinging to you. You can still move things even when time is frozen. Also, hi Vorombola!" I'm still dumbfounded about everything, wiping all my sweat on my face, and yet what is she muttering about? Also, Vorombola answered her greetings by cocking her head in confusion... Wait, why? "...You can see my Arcanus?" I questioned her as I slowly remove the hands of the old man off my feet, then took the stairs down to where she is. I have a bad feeling about this... It's good that she somehow saved my life but it won't hurt to be cautious, will it? Edited by Trass, Jul 22 2013, 03:10 PM.

------------------------ Ilsa ------------------------ The hotel was 3 stores tall and built in a baroque style. It was painted in beige colors. Above the door hung a sign made to look as if of wood with the hotel's name painted in gold in cursive. On each side of the writing there was a painting of a bear's head enchanted to move and appear to roaring, but no sound would come out. The building stood in the block because it stood between two other buildings that were much more modern looking. The front door slid sideways automatically and was made of glass, not matching the rest the hotel's style. Through it, the front lobby was made of marble, illuminated by a chandelier and right under it there was a stuffed brown bear standing in an ominous pose. It was much larger than a regular brown bear, probably because it belonged to a similar, but larger species that came to be when Terra Pricus and Stratum Magi merged or because it was mutated by magic. Next to the bear stood a Bear Mythos woman. Her head was the head of a brown bear and her hands and feet were pawns, but those features and her body were very feminine, tall and slender, looking more like the body of a woman than that of a bear. Her fur was light brown and her eyes were caramel in color. She wore a uniform that indicated she worked for the hotel. Her Arcanus was a mushroom with purple body and black cap, the size of a child, with a human face that clearly showed it was male. The cap dubbed as a hat and the Arcanus had a pipe on its mouth that released a ominously green smoke. "Welcome to Großer Bär. If you desire to check in, the reception desk is right behind me. How may I assist you?" She would greet to everyone who entered the hotel, while her Arcanus would stay silent enjoying his pipe. ------------------------ Andriniainampoinimerina ------------------------ "...You can see my Arcanus?" He asks. I giggle at his surprise. This is very amusing. I'm so used with people being courteous and respectful that such reaction is very unusual to me. I should sneak out and disguise myself more often. Obviously, that is just a silly desire that I'll never be able to carry on. "It was a beautiful concert, wasn't it? Shame it was ruined by the wyvern attack. Someone should have this Wall fixed ASAP. Luckily I was nearby to help." I jump down from the stage and walk to Mr Andry. "Sadly, I could only stop time around the stadium. Well, quite frankly, I could have frozen the entire world, or even the Universe for that matter, but that would require a huge deal of Magic, and getting such amount of magical energy would have been quite tiresome and difficult. Not to mention the dangers of using such powerful magic. It's better play safe." I stop face to face with him. He is quite tall compared to me, but not much bigger. Not what I would expect from a athlete, then again, Proelium is a magical sport. And the animal features befitting his race as Mythos made him quite cute, like some human plushy. I wanna scratch him behind his ears. Another silly desire. It wouldn't be very regal of me to do that nor do I think he would feel comfortable. He would most likely be offended. Aside from that, he seems to be physically fit and magically capable. "This frozen stadium will soon draw some unwanted attention so we better settle this matter quickly. Shall we sit and talk, Andry, Vorombola?" I sign to the stage. Up there now stands a table illuminated by candles, whee before there were only instruments and sound equipment. There are two chairs at the table facing each other. I go back to the stage and sit, gesturing for him to do the same. "When it comes to Proelium, you cannot call me an enthusiast. I've been to a few games, but out of mere formalities. Declaring this game as open, going to that game because some rich lord owns it and invited me. When it comes to sports in general, my greatest feat was opening this year's Olympics. Yet, your skills have caught my attention, Andriniainampoinimerina of the Madagascar Fandroaka. Tell me, are you still surprised that I can see Vorombola and you can't see my Arcanus?" As I question him, the glamour around me starts to wear off. Edited by Sonwe, Jul 23 2013, 07:33 PM.

---Ilsa---- I whinced a bit, as I saw the moving sign, but entered the lobby nonetheless. Raising a hand to shield my eyes, from the bright light of the chandelier, I squinted. It was a big change, to step from the dark outside, into well-iluminated room, like this. After my eyes had adjusted, I noticed an omnios figure, which turned out, to be a bear. A stuffed bear. Not a real one. I was certainly puzzled, since the queen had told us, that we should look around for a human woman. But instead we had been greeted by Mythos woman and that could complicate the matter. My contact went probably to bed already. So what to do? Booking a normal room and hope that the hotel-bill wouldn`t eat me alive or demanding, that the woman should be brought here? I sighed and stiffled a yawn. I felt sore and was exhausted. I just wanted a bed or couch to lay down, even if it would have been in a lumber room. "Can I talk with the owner please?" |

"Your rooms are ready and waiting. I can take you there right now, if you so desire," the Ge said. It sounded nice, but then he whispered, "but I must warn you that once you have reached your respective rooms, for reasons of your own safety and of our dear Queen, you shall not be allowed to leave until Trinitas Eve. My my, don't worry however, as you'll be provided with the food and entertainment you so desire, as long as it is within my reach to provide them." After those whispers, it sounded like heaven or hell for some reason. "I'll have a stay in my room as well," I spoke without hesitation. Like Mark, I don't really have anything to do in the town. Besides, I prefer sleeping than walking around without knowing what to do. |

------------------------ Mark & Reazle ------------------------ "My my. Please, follow me. This way." Pointing the way with his tentacles, the Ge led the two up the stairs. Moving through a short maze of corridors painted to simulate the ocean depths, the Ge soon stopped in a corridor with two doors, 214 and 216. "This will be your rooms. They are the best suites on my humble hotel. "Mr. Graettia will be staying in room 214," he opened the door for Reazle. The room was large, with a king size bed on the left side with an aquarium above it, a big window on the wall opposite to the door overlooking the Sidney Opera House, a door on the side leading to a bathroom with a bathtub. The room also had a large television on the wall facing the bed. The room was, like the rest of the hotel, themed to mimic a coral reef in the bottom of the ocean. "Since you won't be allowed to leave the room, Mr. Graettia, in case you need anything, my my, please use the phone over there," he pointed a shell-shaped telephone on the tv bench. "As for you, Mr. Calma, you get the room 216." That room was the same as the other, but mirrored. the view was also the same. "My my, I stated before, use the phone over there in case you need to ask for something. Your meals will be served in your rooms and everything in the mini-bar is free and will be restocked daily. All the TV channels are open and available for both of you, with a few... my my... limitations to Mr. Graettia due to his age." After leading the two men in their respective rooms, the Ge apologized for having to lock them inside the rooms and assured once more that it was for their own safety. "When the time is right, I shall come and get you so you can continue your journey," and with a good bye, he locked the door of their bedrooms and chanted a spell which caused the doors to disappear and be replaced by solid wall. Through the windows, they could see the lights of Sydney reflected in the sea. |

--Brae-- "Going to walk?" Lux asked nonchalantly. Although so, I reckon that jet lag begin to affects him. He looks tired more than anything. Silly brother, you want me to have fun, right? "...What the heck is so funny? I swear you're getting more and more like Lumen." Ooops, looks like I accidentally smiled. "Nay, nothing at all~ Let's just take a cab." "...Oi, we don't have the luxury to spend for shits like that. Why don't we just w---" "Lux," I cut him mid way. "I might be a little sister and you'll say that it's not my place to lecture you like a big sister, but I knew you more than anyone else. You're tired, jet lag affected you, and now you're really moody because you're tired. Go rest. The faster we enter the hotel, the faster you'll rest." "...This is why I hate you." he commented, although left edge of his lips raised, forming wry smile directed at himself. "Awww, love you, too, bro~" I teased and called a nearby cab. |

--- Liliana --- Passing through the tall, cold metallic walls that border around the polis of Berlin, I am surrounded by not people walking around, but a ridiculously high amount of security detail. Mechanized units, police armed with both firearms and magic, keeping a stringent eye to reinforce iron public order. There were also pockets of doomsayers and such, which are swiftly and definitely suppressed roughly. Continuing to drive along in my.... procured motorcycle, I managed to reach a much less suppressed area of fewer police and doomsayer presence. Pulling over to the side to check my map for a moment, I noted my location in Neukölln borough, which is a few ways from my destination. I took a moment to consider my options, I could drive there directly with this motorcycle or the take subway station. Either way would be fine... in fact... "So... what now?" For whatever reason, Gau had just needed to make some noise while I am pondering. Instead of answering the doll that is simply sitting right on my lap, I looked around, checking my surroundings once more. The traffic is light, meaning taking the motorized route is most likely the best and simply a cinch. As my eyes looked about, I noticed a man leaning against the wall of a workshop. It seems to deal with some motorized parts and... the man seems to be taking some visual note of the motorcycle I am using. --- Gau --- Why is Liliana taking such a long time now? She should already decide by now. Seriously, this is taking more time than it should have been, like updating a certain roleplay post that has been neglected so long. "Are you going to dump this bike on him?" "Why?" "At least you can dump this ride and rid of it while covering the costs of travel down here!" "..." Quite smart of me, I must say. I praised myself over my advice as Liliana simply shook her head and took a turn into the workshop, --- Liliana --- I kept myself discreet as I sold the bike, enough spare change to even afford the subway ride towards the Lichtenberg borough, wherein the Groß Bär is located. Gau remained annoying as usual, speaking her own mind and simply trying to use me as a medium to ease her boredom over the length of the entire trip. To save my own sanity, I simply remained silent and let the rants go by while Gau comments on everything, from the night lights and even the way I sat. Letting out a sigh of relief after I exited the subway and back onto the streets, I took another moment to check the destination's location before proceeding along for a quiet walk through the blocks. Thankfully, Gau already quietened down as I proceeded on my way. Reaching it... I took a while to make sure I had the location right... Because the architecture of the hotel is far different from its surroundings. "Ay--?" "Quiet, you." "Boo." After silencing Gau before she even has a chance to speak, I approached the entrance and step through the automatic set of doors, into the interior. |

Due to being exhausted from walking around too much, I immediately laid my body on the bed. Ahh, king-sized bed was always the best. Just laying here was enough to make me sleepy… Hmm, should I just go to sleep now? …on a second thought, maybe not. I probably should call 'him.' Couldn’t have that person worrying about me, I guess. I stretched my hand forward. A faint blue light radiated from my palm, indicating that the Omniglass was ready to use. Among many features that were displayed on the screen, I immediately chose ‘Phone Call.’ A list of person’s names appeared. Hmm, now that I think about it, I don’t have many people to call. That’s sad. Sighing at the realization, I chose a particular name from the list. Afterwards, a green headset appeared and attached itself around my head. "Hi there." "Yeah, life’s good here. What about you?" "Hmm, figures. It’s as lively as ever over there." "Yeah. Yeah. No, that’s none of your business." "What’s wrong with being one of them?! Jeez, you’re really anno--- Crap, I blurted it out." "S-Shut up! I-It’s not like I want to be like this, okay?!" I paused for a bit, before clearing my throat and continued, "In any case, I’m involved with something big now." "The news." "Yup." "Nah, I’ll be alright. It’s not a shady business anyway, so don’t you worry about me." "Yeah, I'll inform you if anything comes up." "Okay, take care. Send my regards to the others." "I said, 'it's none of your business!" With a beeping sound, the call ended and the headset disappeared. I closed my eyes in an attempt to relax my body. "Hey, Anon. Do you think I’m really qualified to serve Lizbeth?" My question went unanswered by the Arcanus, but I could tell that it said yes, somehow. Perhaps that’s just my mind playing trick with me. What should I do now? Waiting without doing anything was boring, while sleeping right away would make the free-stay in this hotel a waste. Just when I began to think like that, Anon flew in front of my eyes. It began to swirl around and changed its shape to…a coat? Ah! I got it! I immediately rose up and got off the bed. Not wasting any time, I walked toward the phone case and called for the Ge that guided us to this room. Edited by Hall Monitor, Aug 2 2013, 04:16 PM.

------------------------ Ilsa & Liliana ------------------------ "Can I talk with the owner please?" "Oh... I think she is busy right now but I'll call her. Please, wait a moment." The Mythos stretched her palm causing the Omniglass' holographic screen to show up. She pressed a button and the holographic display disappeared and a near faint glow appeared inside the woman's pupils, indicating she had the privacy mode on. After a few moments she closed her palm. "I texted her. She will be arriving shortly." It wasn't long after that the automatic doors opened and Liliana walked in. At that exact moment a glowing magic sigil appeared on middle of the lobby and from it a door made of ice materialized. An old woman came out of it. She wore a simple dress with some flower patterns, small glasses with round lens. Her hair was tied back in a bun and she was curved from a hunchback. Her Arcanus was a simple, floating gramophone, but the horn was made of ice. "Who has requested my presence?" She spoke in a soft, frail voice, but her smile was warm and vigorous. She looked around and stopped her eyes over the Forgotten and then moved to the Vladescu who just walked in. "A human and a Vladescu at my hotel, together?" Her tone indicated not a single bit of surprise, and, in fact, made it evident that she knew exactly who they were and why they were there. Yet, she still asked the question she was supposed to. "Who are you?" ------------------------ Marcus ------------------------ The familiar voice of the Ge came from the other side of the phone. "My my, you sure were quick to call, Mr Calma. How may I be of your service?" Edited by Sonwe, Aug 1 2013, 04:07 AM.

Rakha "Rakha," deep guttural voice suddenly woke me straight up from my sleep. "''s already mornin'." I shifted uncomfortably, founding Gorre on spot beside my bed, towering over me. The bed creaks under my pressure. I know I'm getting bigger and bigger, and unfortunately for me, it's not long before I need to change for bigger one... Maybe I should consider a japanese mattress. There must be some place selling that kind of thing... "Morning for you, too, big bud." I greeted. "Slept well?" "Not...quite... The creaking killing my ears... Maybe I really should give it to other kid afterall..." Being a Mythos, creaking like that felt like a concert of a hundred creaking bed. The sound would made me grind my teeth in frustration, but that gonna be even worse for my poor ears, so I endure it... Not to mention the beeping sound of the news bothered me since the morning... geh. Morning sunlight starts to give the room a better level of brightness. My room definitely the biggest room in this Renaissance Revival-style building. However, due to the placing, my side needs time before sunlight could enter. Nothing noteworthy inside, just several training gadgets, including several dumbbells, skipping rope, training broadsword. A study table placed on the south east corner of the room, where I enjoy looking at scenery outside while studying. It brought me to nostalgia of how long I actually stayed in this orphanage... Only to be broken by the beeping sound getting louder and louder... might be just my imagination, but oh dear... I choose to view "Anything interesting?" Gorre asked "...The queen's missing." "...Of all day, today?" "Aye, such a bad day, huh? Well at least today I don't have to go for wo--" My words cut off as suddenly the kids launched themselves at me. Needless to say, my bed's frame broken apart. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gorre Rakha looks really angry. I guess it's only fair that he does. The fall seems hurt, especially when the frame give up on your 110 kg body weight, all pure muscle. Luckily, Rakha's room is located on the ground floor... Now that I think it, probably impossible to hold everything in that room without breaking apart. "We-we're sorry..." the children looks close to tears. Poor them, Rakha only growled, still annoyed by the fact that he need to change his frame so soon. He chewed his steak ferociously. I really have no idea how much he spend for that much of a food everyday. Currently, we're in the dining hall. As usual, it's packed with thirty to fourty kids... such a lot bunch, in my opinion. Most of them are four to five years younger than Rakha himself, twenty of them are girls, and majority are boys. "Now now, they're just kids. You should be thankful that they loved you a lot. Don't worry, let me call Bob to change the frame soon, alright?" Mrs. Elliott, the orphanage owner spoke. Mrs. Elliot seem to be a rich human woman, but that's not too true. She does a lot of job to keep the orphanage running, from baking cookies which we may sell and such. I heard she's a Forgotten, and her desire to took this many children because something related to her beloved grandson Rakha nodded, without stopping to gobble his food. "...Rather, give it to them. They need better one. I should've known that I need more than a regular spring bed." "Is that so? Are you going for little shopping?" she asked, wiping a wet plate. "Yeah. Do you need anything?" "No. Have fun, Son." "Sure, Mom." Rakha teased back. Rakha raise from his seat after muttering several prayers to the Goddess for the food. Let's hope everything would be fine today. |

--- Liliana --- "Muah~ Majestic." Gau made the first comments as I surveyed the interior. Floors or marble filling the whole lobby, a chandelier hanging from the ceiling simply bringing a full harmony together with the outer architecture. Unfortunately, I am unable to take in the entire interior architecture in completely as my attention is grabbed by the sudden appearance of a magic sigil. Using that magic sigil, a formation of ice slowly forms out from the ground, resembling that of a door. What happens afterwards, raises my eyes even more, an old lady steps out from the formed door. I am not ignorant of magic, that is obviously Planotranslocation magic using the ice as a form of media, which is Construction on its own. To be able to form out such using a single magic sigil, this is no small feat. She looked simple enough, her apparel and all and obvious hunching due to aging as a human, but that display of magic made me change my disposition towards her. As she called out for whoever requested for her before myself, she already took notice of my presence... and my race as well. Gau already kept silent, it is my turn to speak and not for poking around as she always does. Taking the step forward, I lifted my ushanka off my head and let my long dark red hair loose from its fabric binds. It is to the old lady I shall speak, as I recall her majesty's words that it is for an old human. Befitting of her age and superior magic, I properly faced the lady and kept the ushanka close to my chest before opening my lips to speak the very words bestowed to me to utter. "I am... but a souless immortal in a quest for the key to freedom..." I paused for a brief moment, fully understanding the weight of the 'key' I seek. "Power." |

| I heard the Ge's deep voice resounding from the phone line. Giving a small laugh, I responded, "Fast indeed, Sir. I'm in a need of laundry service, as some clothes of mine were drenched by the rain before I boarded the ship." |

------------------------ Lux & Tenebrae ------------------------ The cab took them to the Hotel D. Pedro IV, located on a narrow, sloping road. The driver charged the twins 20UIC for the ride. The hotel was Pombaline styled in architecture, 4 stores tall and painted in the colors of the royal style of Peter IV, red, yellow and blue. The style was also the hotel's logo. Cleaning one of the highest windows was a fellow Aes Sídhe who was definitely male, as evident from his dragonfly wings. He, like any one of his kind, looked no older than a teenager and he was also very androgyny like the twins. His hair was colored in a metallic violet, shaved on the sides and shaped as a mohawk on the unshaven top. His skin was mocca and his tattoos were colored ivory, covering his body in swirly patterns. His wings were also ivory in color and covered by the same patterns. His Arcanus, invisible to the twins, was a armor shaped like a piglet, resembling a piggy bank. The armor was filled with a spectral energy. The Sídhe wore simple, old clothes, that were all stained, wet and dirty from the window cleaning. ------------------------ Rhaka ------------------------ Before Rhaka could leave to the store, Mrs. Elliott's Omniglass rang from a phone call. She answered it and in the middle of the call, she told Rhaka to wait. During the conversation her face expressionless. Once she was done, she approached Rhaka. "Go wash yourself and put on your best clothes and see me on my office, as soon as possible." Mrs. Elliott went back to her office. Inside, waiting for her was a woman in her mid 30s wearing a black suit with a red tie and holding a black briefcase. She had black hair and very long, judging from the volume of the bun that held it on the back of her head, her skin was white and almost pale, her face was comely and very youthful for her age. However, her most distinctive feature was the deep blue eyes that examined Mrs. Elliott from behind the silver glasses with square frames. Her face had an austere expression. "H-Hello Miss, Rhaka will be joining us shortly," Mrs. Elliott said, timidly, feeling oppressed by the woman's beauty and graveness. "I'm sorry, what's your name again?" "My name is Liza, please to meet you, Mrs Elliott." She spoke English with a thick British accent, unlike Mrs. Elliott's South African's accent. "I'm looking forward to meet this boy." ------------------------ Marcus ------------------------ "My my, right away Mister," the Ge answered from the other side of the line. Some unintelligible chanting could be heard and suddenly, besides Mark, a vine basket wove itself from thin air. "Just put your clothes on the basket and we'll have then washed, dried and brought back to you in no time. Is that all, Mr. Calma?" Edited by Sonwe, Aug 2 2013, 08:36 PM.
