Rakha Just as my furry feet about to step outside, Mrs. Elliott told me to wait. ...Crap, what did I done today? Don't tell me it's one of the dissatisfied customer? Last time it's some crazy old hag that told me I pack her stuff wrong, lying that I broke her eggs and stuff... Let's hope nothing ha--- "Go wash yourself and put on your best clothes and see me on my office, as soon as possible." "Beg pardon?" But instead of answering, Mrs. Elliott just bolted to her office like she saw a ghost. I turned to Gorre, who shook his head negative. "Better just do like she said," he advised. "My feeling told me that it's not just a normal 'I'll adopt you'." I winced a the last sentence. Last time, someone tried to adopt me just because I'm a strong worker. Of course that made Mrs. Elliott furious. Never before I saw the old woman shook with such anger. Good for the old her, I refused outright. I never have any intention to leave the orphanage. Nevertheless, I go to the shared bathroom, where generally it fits ten to fifteen children. The bath was quick. I'm told to be quick, so I should be. I left my room hurriedly, wearing a formal (argh) suit (that obviously make me itch a lot). Be cursed this body that get bigger and bigger so fast! I swear I'll need bigger suit tomorrow. I knocked the door to the office. "Come in." That's definitely Mrs. Elliot, but voice sounds... not like usual. I opened the door. Her office is my second favorite place. Many photos of the orphanage children hanging on the left from my view, be it those that already left the orphanage or the one that still there. Letters that neatly stacked on her oak table must be today's letters from those that already left the orphanage. Mrs. Elliott is a bit retro-type, so she prefer if they send her via letter. But that's not important. I found an elegant looking lady sitting on a sofa on the middle of the room, accompanied by Mrs Elliott in front of her on the other side of the table in her usual one-person sofa. The clothes makes me think of a lawyer or businesswoman instead of a person that want to adopt me... "This young man here is Rakha, Miss... Now, Rakha, please introduce yourself?" ...Something definitely not right. Generally, Mrs. Elliott isn't this timid. Just who is this woman? Her air does not feel like your regular person. Gorre on the other hand, looking as confused as Fauken, Mrs. Elliott's skeletal, gentlemen-attired raptor arcanus. The raptor looks at me with it's empty-eye socket like telling 'Whatever you're thinking, please save me from this tense silence'. "...U-Uh... R-rakha Shiya, Miss... S-sixteen years old, pleased to meet you." A black long haired girl in blue sweet lolita dress came in, bringing a tray of cookies and some tea for three of us. I can't help but took a glance at Alice, the said girl. I have no idea how she can look back while her bangs cover her eyes like that, but she does, muttering few words of encouragement while stroking my arm. ...Man, here I thought I can at least get mental support... I must look so pathetic... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Brae "Is that the manager?" I heard Lumen spoke. Oh, right, we're supposed to meet the manager, a fellow Aes Sidhe... My eyes found him almost immediately on the spot Lumen pointed at. Hmmm... Should I ask him about the manager or just let him work? Lux took our belongings out of the cab. He looks really tired, almost about to doze off... It's rather impolite, but am so sorry... "Excuse me!" I called at the Sidhe working above, a little louder than I supposed to. "May we see the manager?" |

This room sure looks luxurious, or maybe, too luxurious for me. Living in a house in Singapore is awesome enough to me, let alone staying in a hotel room like this. The services sound nice, too. Wait, did he just mentioned there are limitations for some channels due to my age? So there's also channels for adults only, never know that... After the room is locked, I looked outside, staring at the lights on the sea. "It's been 3 years..." "Miss her?" "Sure I do," he replied. "It'd be funny if I don't. Besides, she'll get mad if I forgot and don't miss her, too." Jueron laughed. "Ain't you going to sleep?" I shook my head a bit, like telling my Arcanus that I'll do it a bit later. He didn't say anything else after that. Few minutes later, I started feeling drowsy. "Well, I'm just gonna sleep now." "Alright, sleep tight!" he replied, while staring at the aquarium. He seems to be interested in most things. Putting myself on bed, I closed my eyes. |

------------------------ Rhaka ------------------------ Liza stood up and examined Rhaka. Her eyes were cold and conniving. "So you are the boy. Please to meet you," she said, shaking his hand. Her handshake was firm and imposing. When the girl came in, Liza didn't even aknowledge her until she offered the woman cookies and tea. She frowned at the cookies but gladly accepted the tea, which she sipped slowly. She turned back to Mrs. Elliott, put the briefcase over her desk and opened it. She took out a handful of papers from it. "Here is all the paperwork. I'm sure you'll find everything in order." Mrs. Elliott examined the papers carefully and her eyes slowly began to tear as she reached the end, and Fauken clearly looked sad. After recomposing herself, she looked at the businesswoman. "It seems everything is in order indeed." "Great. My client will be very happy." She put everything back in the briefcase. Mrs. Elliott walked towards the boy and rested her hands over his shoulders. "You've just been adopted, Rhaka. You behave this time, you hear me? You are not going to no normal home. You are-" "Mrs Elliott," the woman interrupted. "May I speak with the boy, alone?" "Oh, c-certainly!" Mrs. Elliott left the room in a rush. Liza put the empty cup of tea next to the untouched cookie plate and motioned for Rhaka to sit. She sat too. "I have heard a lot about you. Mostly, about your physique I see those weren't exaggerations." She fixed her glasses. "But I'm not here to talk about your oversize muscles. Mr Shiya. Congratulations, boy, you have a new home. "I'm here representing my client, who had the interest of adopting you. She has great interest on you and she is very eager to meet you. But before you meet her, there are matters to settle. It came to my ears that the last time someone attempted to adopt you, they were after your impressive strength and that's why you refused. You must understand that your strength was one of the things that caught the interest of my client, but that's not all of it." Her eyes paused over his own, as if she was trying to read him, and succeeding. "It also came to my knowledge that you are not that looking forward to be adopted at all. I completely understand that; this orphanage is like a home to you. "But there's something you need to understand. You are 16 and, in two years, you'll be legally an adult. That means that the State you no longer have the obligation to keep you as a ward and you'll have to fend of for yourself. Your best shot is being adopted by someone who can provide for you, but your advanced age is a barrier. My client however, is offering you this opportunity, so I advise you take it. And finally, there's something you need to understand about my client and the place you'll be living from now on. They are not what you'd call "common". Her home is a strict place and she herself is a person who values order, respect and obedience over anything. And she has a sophisticated taste and life style and hopes you'll be able to meet up to her standards. Finally she is a very important person. She..." "She is Queen of the United Kingdom of Magician Britannia, Sovereign of Magic and Magical Affairs, Supreme Governor of the Church of Trinitism, Gran Arcanus and Avatar of the Trinity Goddess. Your Majesty, Lizbeth of Caliburn," the voice that came from behind him said. Behind girl stood a girl dressed in a fancy white dress covered in diamonds, with a diamond crown resting upon her head. Her hairs was pink with blond ends. Her eyes were deep blue like Liza's, but hers were warm, kind and welcoming seas, unlike the woman's cold and oppressive oceans. "And your new home is my palace in London, Mr Rhaka. You are, from this moment onward, my ward.... but not quite." She giggled upon saying that and walked towards Liza, who seemed to be in a trance state. She rested her hands over the woman's head. "That's enough, dear," she said, and the woman was "sucked" into her palm like smoke sucked by a vent. In her place remained a puddle of tear. "Don't worry. She was just a special kind of Astral Projection. That's why I didn't let her eat the cookies. They would have gone to waste." She sat and ate one of the cookies. "So... how are you feeling? I know this must come as a shock. Take all the time you need to process the information." ------------------------ Lux & Tenebrae ------------------------ Upon being called, the Aes Sídhe looked down. "I'll be there in just a sec," he said in a childish voice, smiling. He ascended upwards a bit, made a loop and descended in a head-first dive. As he came down, his worn out clothes would shine, come off his body and disappear, but like a snake shedding its skin, there were other clothes under those. Once he landed in front of the twins, he no longer wore rags, but a suit with a fancy cut. He fixed his hair which got messed up with the fast descent. "The manager would be me," he greeted. His eyes landed on Tenebrae. "Que bonita!" He grabbed her hand and kissed it softly. "What brings this beautiful lady to my humble hotel?" Edited by Sonwe, Aug 3 2013, 06:42 PM.

-Rakha- My heart felt like it's just sunk to my stomach. I could feel several form of nausea as my own body shook in both impeding sadness and anger. Adopted? Honestly!? Can't I just live here forever? Can't I just... Can't I just work harder...? I want to cry, I want to scream like when the first time someone tried to adopt me, but that would be so unsightly... I know beyond this door, everyone trying to listen to our conversation. I... I can't believe it... Of all day, why now? I thought... I thought it's possible for Mrs. Elliot herself to adopt me... Just... why? "You've just been adopted, Rakha. You behave this time, you hear me?" The mother that I know for sixteen years looks so helpless. She's tearing up.... No, no, don't give me that... please don't give me that... You did all you can, and it's not your fault... Please, don't give me that look, Mom... please... just... don't... My claws dug deeper to my palms. Gorre put an assuring hand to my shoulder. I want to scream at her to take me back... to tell me my home is here, in the orphanage... And that I can live here as her successor. But isn't that too egoistical? Maybe this place is better off without me. I'm a glutton parasite... Yes, I'm too old... But didn't I work so hard? Before I knew it, we're alone... me and her, and probably with both of our Arcanus. She told me to sit. Despite my huge urge to vent my anger in feral way, I do as she said. Not even the all-familiar soft sofa I spend my childhood sleeping on actually could make me less agitated. In fact, it makes me even more agitated. Again, the talk about my strength came. The sounds alone make me sick. I'm tempted to vomit right here and now, as honestly, I'm already way too stressed out about this whole ordeal. I bit my lower lip to hold myself from giving up to my feral side. My client however, is offering you this opportunity, so I advise you take it." ...Right, the state would not help my tab. That means, my workload would be twice or thrice the normal... The time it's brought again in conversation, I already don't have the mood. I felt like throwing up and being a pathetic sobbing ball of fur on the corner of the room. All in my mind is, I want this female to get out and let me sort myself first... "She is Queen of the United Kingdom of Magician Britannia, Sovereign of Magic and Magical Affairs, Supreme Governor of the Church of Trinitism, Gran Arcanus and Avatar of the Trinity Goddess. Your Majesty, Lizbeth of Caliburn," "BEG PARDON!?" Despite my mood, the last one just got my attention so bad that I automatically snapped my head so fast, accidentally make it let out a cracking sound. Ouch. "And your new home is my palace in London, Mr Rhaka. You are, from this moment onward, my ward.... but not quite." W-what the heck are the queen doing here!? Gorre looks visibly calm. B-but hey! There's a queen in front of us! "So... how are you feeling? I know this must come as a shock. Take all the time you need to process the information." "...First, Your Majesty... I...I need time to sort this out... Too much information... So, please... please I beg you with all fur and fangs of my ancestor that I have no idea who, give me a time to be alone... I need to sort myself." ...Despite so, I still feel like crying. I don't know. Irony? Too much information? I don't care. I need to go to sort this shit out -Brae- Lux slapped the man's hand away, although he might do it a bit too weak for his liking, obvious from his expression. "Hand off from my little sister. She's still a damn minor." "So you are," I rolled my eyes, exasperated. "Pardon for that, Mister. He's just too overprotective about me. As for your question what bring us here, I should perhaps identify myself as 'I am but the darkness that brightens the world.'" "'I am but the light that refuses to shine'," Lux followed, still grumpy. |

The trip to the port was rather uneventful except that Lymselia seemed to be slightly displeased. I couldn't help but widens my eyes in both surprise and fascination once we reached the port. An underwater port with so much activity... Who would have thought such thing is possible. Well maybe the Ondine. I found myself enjoying it but Lymselia soon dragged me into the port building. The change in temperature is a given as it felt warm inside the building and it really reeks. I covered my nose with my hand as Lymselia guided me deeper into the building, heading straight towards the main lobby. "Right there", Lymselia pointed towards the circular counter. "We should be able to buy some tickets. I hope there are still some tickets left.", I nodded to Lymselia slightly as we moves closer to the counter. Almost all the receptionists in the counter are busy except two of them. Lymselia dragged me again, as she leads me towards the receptionist with a rather muscular build. "Let's talk to her.", Lymselia smiled slightly Soon I am in front of the receptionist, "Excuse me, Is there any ship heading for Tolray? If so, I wish to buy two tickets for it. Earliest departure if possible." |

--Ilsa--- As I heard the sound of the opening of the automatic door, I turned hastily around, since for one split second, I thought that the thugs had caught up with me. My heart stopped to pound for a moment and brain went blank. That was until, a sigil started to glow on the floor and my blood ran cold. I jerked my arms up in a protective manner, but I couldn`t scream. I blinked. Something in the back of my head, cackled. An harmless looking woman, with frightening ice-magic? 'Frau Holle?' What had happened? Had something thrown me right into a bizarre fairy-tale or what? Then she asked us, to state our business. And she thought that we had arrived here together? No, that was a mistake. Since my mouth was too dry to speak, it was first the Vladescu, who answered. My eyes went over the girl again. So this was the Vladescu, that her Majesty had talked about. It took me a few moments, before I also remembered the queens warning and I teared my eyes from the red-haired Miss. Instead, I focused on the Owner. But she had looked fairly younger than me. Was the queen that desperate, that she even recruited children?! I tried to regain my usual calmness. On the other side, the queen herself was a child. So wouldn`t it be natural to trust a kid more, than an adult? After I few minutes, I snapped out of my thoughts. "I am but a woman who fights her very nature", I whispered nearly voiceless. |

It didn't take much time for me to retrieve my wet attire from the Omniglass. With a 'thump,' they landed perfectly on the basket. Before I responded to the Ge, I carefully counted the clothes in the basket. Let's see, a coat, a collared shirt, a trouser, and an underwear. Four of them. Better keep that in mind. "Ah yes, that would be all, Sir. Though...uh..." I took a deep breath, unsure whether to continue or not. However, I decided to go for it. "I'm...wondering what sort of TV program that had to over here? Are there any...varieties of..." I coughed. "I apologize. Please forget what I said." Well that didn't seem to go too well, Marcus Calma. Edited by Hall Monitor, Aug 8 2013, 02:10 PM.

------------------------ Liliana & Ilsa ------------------------ "Guten Abend, Fräulein Amrasepher, Fräulein Bergmann," the old lady greeted in German, then switched back to Glossolalia. "I understand that you two have not met yet, so allow me to do the introductions." She guided one woman to the other, and gesturing in a respectful manner to Ilsa, she began the introductions. "Fräulein Amrasepher, this is Fräulein Ilsa Bergmann. She is a Forgotten from right here, beautiful Germany, who was also contacted by the Queen to join this honorable cause." Then, gesturing in the same manner to at Liliana, she spoke. "Fräulein Bergmann, this is Fräulein Liliana Amrasepher, a Vladescu from Croatia who will be a comrade under the Queen's service." With the introductions done, the old woman whispered something to the Mythos, who nodded an "yes". "It seems your rooms are ready and waiting for you. One thing I must warn you though: with the purpose to keep this cause secured until the time is right, once you are safely within your rooms, you won't be allowed to leave or interact with one another or with anyone in that matter, but me, until Trinitas Eve Night. Don't worry, though, for you'll be provided with your every needs, as long they are not beyond my skills. "So, meine Fräulein, would you like to stay here and get acquainted, or perhaps you have some business in Berlin? Or do you want to be taken to your rooms?" ------------------------ Rhaka ------------------------ The boy is obviously confused. I would be too, if I was in his place. However, this is a necessary evil. I offer Mr Rhaka a tissue and waited for him to calm down a bit. He asks me for some time alone. "I'm sorry, Mr Rhaka, but I can't fulfill your request for privacy." I stand up and put my hand on his shoulder in a sympathetic way. "I lost my parents too, you know. I was just a child. And not just that, but when I was Crowned, I lost my Arcanus. I lost my family and a part of me. So I completely understand your position. However, unlike in the loss of a relative, where you don't have a choice, I'm giving you a choice," I point at the briefcase. "Those papers aren't what you could call... legitimate. I could easily destroy them and all of this would be undone. Just say no, and it'll be like I was never here. However, before you chose, allow me to explain the situation." I stand up and walk to the towering Gorre. The first Golems were made of stone like this Arcanus. The name, Golem, comes from an Terra Pricus myth from Judaism. Golems were giants made of clay, just like the first Constructs of Terra Arcana. I look up to the towering being. "I need your help, Mr Gorre. I need help from both of you. You are an Arcanus, bound to serve the Queen, the Avatar of the Goddess, the Gran Arcanus. However, you are also bound to your Companion, and you can only go if Mr Rhaka goes. That's why I must convince both of you to join me." I walk back to Mr Rhaka and look into his eyes. "The world is cruel, Mr Rhaka. Cruel to you, to me, to the other children in this orphanage. Cruel to everyone. But what make the world this way is its people. Cruel people who don't mind hurting others for personal gain. And these kind of people are being my Kingdom's biggest problem. "Mr Rhaka, you have no biological binds to the children of this orphanage, but you still see them as siblings and would do anything to protect them. In that way, we are alike. I see my subjects as my children and, as a mother, I would do anything to protect them. But I can't do this alone. That's why I'm here. I need you to help me, Mr Rhaka. You and Mr Gorre. I would live in my palace and share my food, and for the people of this orphanage, for Mrs Elliott, you would be living as my ward, a life that most children can only dream of having." I reach the plate and get another cookie and take a bite before continuing. "But that wouldn't be the whole thing. If you come live in my palace, you'll be start a life where you'll be serving and representing me. You shall travel the world under my order and fight for my name. It'll be dangerous and you may come to know a lot of pain suffering from it, but it'll be for a good cause. Mr Rhaka, you'll not be fighting for me, nor for you, or the cause. You'll be fighting for the Kingdom, for the people in it, for the world... and most importantly, you'll be fighting for the children of this orphanage and in the world. For their safety and their future. So that they can be happy." I stand up and get one of the pictures in the office, a group photo with every children and Mrs Elliott; everyone was smiling. "You'll be fighting for these smiles," I say as I give the picture to Mr Rhaka. "Also, Mr. Rhaka, you'll be repaid with money and a place to live." I sit down again and smile gently at him. "Think as much as you want before answering. Do you treasure these smiles more than your own life?" ------------------------ Kunagi & Lymselia ------------------------ "Oh, you two arrived just in time." the Umbra receptionists exclaims. Her skin was pitch black and his eyes were, quite literally, black holes. She was like a three dimensional shadow. "The last ship to Tolray for the day is departing right now. It'll be 1000 UIC each. Will you be paying through Omniglass?" the woman asks. But before the girls could say anything, someone who was standing behind them in line speaks up in a child's voice. "I'll be paying for these two beautiful ladies." The person behind them was no more than a child. He was no taller than 140cm, his physique was slim and he looked no older than 9. He wore a straw hat that covered his head, a plain, white T-shirt and blue shorts. He was barefoot. His smiled slyly at the girls and bowed at them. "It's a indescribable pleasure to meet you two, young, beautiful ladies," he said, in a polite manner that completely opposed his young appearance. He walked at the counter and put two large golden coins in it. Using physical money in current days was already a rare sight, but those coins were more than just unusual. They didn't resemble any known currency, and more than that, they were made of pure gold. Some unknown crest was engraved in it and when the receptionist tried to say that those coins didn't have value, the boy just smiled. "These coins have more value than you think. Just try digitizing them and you'll see." And when she did, the woman's eyes became two baseballs on her face. "This... I... I don't have change for that," she said, amazed. "It's no need," he replied, "just make sure that these two ladies reach their destination safely." He turned to Kunagi and Lymselia and bowed one more time, but this time he kissed their hands. "Send the beautiful Young Queen my deepest regards," he said, mysteriously. "Farewell, my ladies," and with that he skipped away, disappearing among the crowed. Shortly after, a Golem man appeared and gestured the two of them to follow him. "This way, ma'am," he said in a clear, handsome voice. He guided them inside another ice wall. The inside looked like a beehive, structured in many chambers arranged side by side. He took the girls inside on of the chambers. It only had walls on the side, with the side facing the entrance being actually open to the ocean, with a magic seal preventing the water from flooding the chamber. Said water formed a liquid wall of sorts behind the seal. In the middle of the chamber a submarine waited with its doors open. It was unlike any other submarine, being shaped like a fish. The Golem led the girls inside, which resembled the inside of a luxury train, with restaurant and everything, and showed them their seats and then left. Soon enough, a warning played telling the passengers that they were about to depart and that the dock would be flooded. From the window, they could see when another seal appeared in the chamber's entrance from where they came from, while the seal leading to the ocean began to disappear and water slowly entered the dock. Once the submarine was fully underwater, it departed into the cold and dark depths of Nari. ------------------------ Lux & Tenebrae ------------------------ "I meant no disrespect," the manager apologized. "I was merely being sincere. She is beautiful, independent of age." He smiled at Tenebrae. But the smile died when she introduced herself, followed by Lux. "Oh, I should have seen this one coming. So you two are the Aeternitas twins," he said in a serious tone. "Forgive me, but I expected you to be more... qualified... ahem... it's a pleasure having you two here in my hotel. Please, come inside." The Aes Sídhe guided the twins inside. The hotel was decorated with furniture in the style of those used in the imperial times of Portugal. Once they were inside, he spoke. "Your rooms are ready, Miss and Mr Aeternitas and I can take you there right now. It pains me to say, however, that once you are taken to your rooms, you won't be allowed to live until the time comes. It also pains me to say that you'll be completed isolated from the world... and one another... until Trinitas Eve. You'll only have contact with me. Don't worry, though, because I'll be trying to keep both of you comfortable in your stay here. So, if you have more things to do in this city or some long issue you want to talk about with each other, I suggest you to do it now. Otherwise, I'll gladly take you to your rooms. So, what'll it be?" ------------------------ Marcus ------------------------ The basket disappeared with all his clothes after a while. "I'll be delivering them back to you once they are properly washed and dried, Mr. Calma," the Ge said on the other side of the line. When Mark spoke about the channels, the Ge replied: "My my, Mr. Calma, I'm sure you'll find all sorts of channel you want. But as per request, I'll forget what you said... what were you saying again?" the man joked. "Oh, and Mr. Calma. I've noticed that I forgot to put the spell that would prevent you from having cellphone calls from your bedroom. I deeply apologize for my recklessness. I hope you didn't exploit my irresponsibility and jeopardized the whole mission by telling anyone of your involvement in all this. My my, that would be bad. Now, since that'll be all, I'll be off. Good night, Mr. Calma." In the other side, the phone clicked. |

Rakha I rejected the Queen's offer for the tissue gently... It's a bad habit, I know. I'd rather not to let people know about my feeling so blatantly. I'd prefer to steer clear from showing 100% of my feeling... yet at the same time, I don't like to lie... The queen told me that the... papers, apparently... are.. 'forged', or something along that line, apparently. I can't help but grin nervously at the papers. Dang, why not just come under the guise of recruiting militant while at it? Oh right, it's me that hate militant. The speech continues for a little while, but my really feral side is in itch for my turn to talk... "...Well, to be honest, dreaming of staying in the Queen's ward, I figure, is not all diamond and golds. Your majesty herself, would know best of living in luxury, but actually a disguised... much more than responsibility...thing..." I crossed my arms in front of my chest. This clothes getting more and more itchy. I felt like to rip it off and stand there barechested, but that gonna be fatal... "...We both know that rather than living in luxury, we'd pick the life we're comfortable with... Pardon for my insolence, but let me say this: I don't need home, I already have home. I don't need luxury, because I don't feel like I need those. I don't need food more than needed by my stomach. But for my siblings? I'd dare to starve and even beg for money on the street, I tell you." I dared myself to step closer and bowed. "...And so my queen... Rather than luxury you offer for my service, I'd prefer if you help this orphanage. They don't really need monetary help, although I believe a bit from my wage would be enough... well, just see, but yes, the thing is, all they need most is protection. Shelter this place, then it's enough. Make sure my brothers and sisters are fine. Do that, and my service is all yours. I don't need twice to think about their smiles or my life." Brae ...I can't help but to scowl. ...What on the heck does he means that we're more... qualified? Should we waltz in fully equipped or what? Is this some kind of military requirements? "....Fine, let's just get it over with." I replied with a rather upset tone. |

My Companion visibly blushed after he uttered that unnecessary question. Pfeh, he was really a pervert underneath that goodie-two-shoes attitude. I bet other people would be very surprised if they ever saw this side of him. That accident with Her Majesty really brought me to shame! Why would he open the door without wearing any pants?! Like, seriously. That's the dumbest thing ever. "Ah, yes. Thank you for informing me. I assure you, I haven't made any phone calls to anyone yet, Sir. I have no intention of sharing my involvement to others. You can mark my words," he responded to the Ge on the phone, smiling from ear to ear. High level poker face there. He should really dropped that goddamn pun though. "Goodnight, sir," he ended the conversation, putting back the phone lid. With an unusual gait, that good-for-nothing Companion of mine walked toward the television and began to fiddle around the channel, humming the whole time. He finally stopped at a particular show, then went back to sit on the bed. As the sound from the television resonated throughout the room, his hand began to reach his c... ...... Okay. This was exactly the reason why I hated him. Did he have any consideration for me at all? No, no, NO! I can hear his thought! I mustn't listen I mustn't listen I mustn't listen I mustn't listen I mustn't listen I mustn't listen I mustn't listen... Ugh, this was so traumatizing! |

---Ilsa---- 'So her name is Amrasepher?' Sadly I didn`t know, if that surname was common among Vladescu or not. My old boss had been from italy, not croatia, so my knowledge about that country was slim. Strange, how I already had shifted him into the category "recent past" that quickly. I offered her my hand for a handshake, like it was usual in the most european countries. It would surely not kill me, to get a bit more information about the Vladescu-Lady in front of me, before I dragged myself finally into bed. After all, going into the room would mean, that we wouldn`t be able to speak, until Trinitas Eve Night. And ending up dead, just because my future ally may have not known, that I wasn`t battle-proofed...I did my best to push the image back. I hesistantly raised my eyes,- who were threatened by sleep already- and tried to straighten myself. Coffee moved itself up into the list of my priorities. Even as the little voice in my mind, tried to warn me, that flooding my system with coffee now, would only result in a restless night. But my coffee-craving side would have nearly won the mental battle, if not for the fact, that I didn`t know yet, what she had planed. |

--- Liliana --- The old lady then proceeded to extend introductions for both myself and the other that responded in a similarly cryptic manner towards the old lady. That obviously indicates that I myself, am not the only one that was called upon by the queen. My eyes trailed from the old lady's hand towards the much taller form of the other that stood before me, noting her name as Ilsa Bergmann. My eyes slowly scanned from the bottom towards up, as expected, many other races would have a much more mature form than my own. Even if they are forgotten, apparently. A German native, even, as a little interesting extra. As the old lady changed the turn to introduce my name to the forgotten, Ilsa, I locked my eyes directly towards her's, I wonder what her role is, in her majesty's cause. Well, there is no need to make additional assumptions, I am simply trying to test her through a little visual intimidation. Interestingly, the forgotten took the initiative to extended a hand towards me, to which I quickly took it properly seeing as the old lady is also present. With my hand, I returned the handshake with a little nod, hopefully she is not too surprised by my strength as well, a little something that my Vladescu self has despite my own form. What came next is a little set of information delivered by the old lady again. We would not be able to leave our rooms after we have entered until the time is right. My brows immediately curled further, I am not very pleased with that arrangement, what could possibly need for us to be holed in a room like I have always been? Therefore, I immediately thought of some bartering. "Not allowed to leave my room? That is most troubling for me, madame. With all honesty, I do not like to be kept in for too long, can..." I paused for a moment, taking a glance over Ilsa. "We at least be allowed to move in around the hotel? Personally, that would allow me to be more comfortable instead of being constantly on the edge due to confinement." "If... that will not suffice...." I cringe at that thought, what else can I do instead? "May I practice magic within my room?" |

"A child voice?" , I thought as I turned and looked at the figure in front of me. I glanced at Lymselia for awhile who seemed to be slightly restless. The proceedings goes better than I expected, The receptionist reaction was strange. How big is the worth of those coins I wondered, but then, I find my hand being held by the child as he kissed my hand. Such a formality... then as he left, I bowed down as deeply as I could in sign of gratitude. Soon I followed a Golem man that seemed to lead us deeper into the port. Beehive-esque structures pleases my eyes as I found myself enjoying the wonders of Lalduria. Truly , this place still gives me a lot of things to learn even after two years of living here. Before long, We reached a fish-like submarine. "Haaa... " , I immediately takes my seat inside the fish-like submarine with Lymselia sitting next to me. The inside is so luxurious, no wonder it costs 1000 UIC for a ride. We are lucky that someone paid the fee for us. The warning soon plays and our travel to Tolray starts. "Hey... Kunagi...", Lymselia's faint voice catches up my attention as I turned and looks towards her. It is apparent that she is restless. "I am curious about that child. She mentioned the queen but... isn't our meeting with her supposed to be somewhat a secret? How can he possibly knows about it. It is not like I ever met him before too.", Lymselia's words piques my interest. It is true. We never told anyone yet about this. "The child did us a favor by paying our tickets to Tolray. It is not good to think badly about him besides there is no reason yet to doubt him" "I hope it stays that way.", Lymselia's word echoes in my mind as we soon proceed to rest ourselves . |

------------------------ Rhaka ------------------------ Ah yes, so we finally reached the point. "So you truly are as I hoped. I knew your love for these children would be larger than any personal desire. Mr Rhaka, you truly are worthy to join me," I gesturing him to recompose himself from his bow. "This orphanage will be kept under my tutelage. From this moment onward, you can consider this place directly linked to The Crown." I pick up a pack of papers from the briefcase. It was a contract that upon signing, it would make this orphanage part of a group of orphanages under direct patronage my patronage. The place would receive funding directly from the Royal Family's finances, or as I like to call it, my "allowance". Arthur will probably scold at me for doing this without consulting him, but it's necessary. I show Mr Rhaka the papers so he may read them and see my words as true. "Once Mrs Elliott signs these, it'll be done. These children will never lack for anything. I'll keep them safe. I'll keep their smiles shining brightly. But you two will have to help me with that. I can't protect them if the whole world is in peril. Mr Rhaka, I sadly can't take you to the Palace right now, so if you truly wish to join me, you'll have to go to this hotel called "Jewel of the Savanna". In it, look for the owner, an elephant Mythos and introduce yourself by saying: 'I am but the forsaken son of a cruel world.' She'll instruct you what to do next. Mr Rhaka, Mr Gorre, you have today and tomorrow to decide if you are truly going, as you have until Trinitas Eve to be lodged in this hotel. I cannot stress enough about how perilous this will be to you, so only join me if you are truly certain about this. This will be a great sacrifice on your part. Now, take only the necessary, for all your stuff will be brought to you once you reach the Palace." I take the contract back and put it back on the briefcase. "I shall take these for Mrs Elliott to sign. If you would be kind to tell her to come back in, I'd be grateful." I wave my hand in front of my face, and my body disappears, while Astral Projection of Liza appears sitting in the couch. "Mr. Rhaka, you are excused," I make her say. "Have a pleasant day," and with a motion of hand, she dismisses him. ------------------------ Lux & Tenebrae ------------------------ "Forgive me, beautiful maiden. I did not mean to upset you. It is just that when I was notified that I would be receiving candidates of knighthood, I expected them to be huge scruffy soldiers who could twist metal with their bare hands and set people on fire by whim, instead of a fair lady like you and a well dressed and cared sir like your brother. But then again, you two are Aes Sídhes, and we are known for our magical powers and not out strength," he apologized, smiling. "Now, if you would follow me," he said, gesturing upwards. "Your rooms are in the 4th floor." His wings opened up and began to flap. He hovered a bit, waiting for the twins to also prepare for flight, then he ascended to the top of the building. He stopped at the leftmost window and used some wind magic to open it. The room inside was quite fancy, filled with furniture reminiscing the times of the Kingdom of Portugal. The room was very spacious and had a huge television set, along with a few single-player games such as puzzle boxes, peg solitaire and a pack of cards. "Your room, Mr. Aeternitas. As you may notice from here, it doesn't have a door... and it pains me to say this... but once you go through this window, it shall be locked. I'm afraid you'll won't be able to go sightseeing through nossa bela Lisboa. However, there's that phone over there that you can use to call me in case you need anything. I'll be glad to serve you. Any other form of communication, including the Omniglass, won't be possible." Then he held onto Tenebrae's hand and led her through the air until they reached the rightmost window. "And this will be your room, bela Miss Aeternitas. The same I said to your brother applies to you, I fear. But I promise you you'll have anything you need. All you have to do is use that phone. I must admit... I have no idea why they want to keep you secluded, but those are my orders and I must obey. Forgive me, minha fada." Then, the Aes Sídhe flew a bit far away from the building, in a place where both twins would be able to see him from their rooms. He bowed and waved, shouting: "Welcome, and enjoy your stay!" Then he made a loop in the air and descended in a rotating motion. ------------------------ Ilsa & Liliana ------------------------ "I'm very sorry, Miss Amrasepher. Once you are in your room, you'll won't be allowed to leave, even if it's to stay within the hotel," the old woman said, bowing as much as her hunchback would allow. "As for practicing magic, you'll find that the room is protected by strong spells in such a way that no form of magic may damage it. You'll be able to practice your magic as much as you want in any intensity you desire, without put yourself or any guest in the hotel in risk." "However, if the thoughts of staying in the room still bothers you, I can assure you that I'll try my best to keep you comfortable. I'll provide you with any books and materials you need for your magic practice, Miss Amrasepher." The old woman slowly walked towards the a door located on the side, then turned around back to her guests. "Is there anything else you need to know or ask? Miss Amrasepher? Miss Bergmann? Or may I escort you to your rooms?" ------------------------ Kunagi & Lymselia ------------------------ The submarine ride went on smoothly, and in less than 2 hours they were emerging. The door of the submarine opened up to a whiteness. They were in Tolray, the busiest city in Nari and once a Fortress that defended the fee from the world bellow. The place where the docks were located was at the base of the Dam, an ice wall that went up over 500 meters and was about 6Km thick. And on the other side of that imposing wonder, Ganedhen would abruptly end and an abyss would fall into the world bellow. The port was a layer of ice that stretched out of the Dam and into the sea of Nari. Everything was made of ice there, even the docks where the submarine was. Walking into a straight line, they would soon reach the edge of the Dam, where a collections of stairs, elevators and ascending paths would take them up and up to the summit of the ice wall. Many houses and other buildings sprout along the pathways of the large barrier. Those were merely the house of commoners, poor people that couldn't afford to live within the city's walls, the slums, and the shops were only for the travelers that came by sea and wanted to do the climbing on foot. The true city was located in the summit. Tolray was a fortress built over the Dam, with walls surrounding it. It had a large keep and many houses and other buildings around it. Ever since the fortress was converted into a port city, keep now dubbed as the City Hall, located at its center and rising above it all with its tall towers and impotent walls. It was within the keep that one of the Dam's most important Glacial Hearts was located. Being a port city, Tolray was famous for its rich and varied shops and fine global cuisine. Once the girls climbed the Dam, they would be able to smell the various delicious and unpleasant scents that were part of that cold city. Their objective, the Airport, was located on the other edge of the Dam, which meant that they would have to cross the 6KM of the Dam. But Kunagi and Lymselia still had the 500 meters climb before them. |

She wasn`t totally surprised, by the strength, but more that her hand was warm. Then the lady said, that it would be needed, to confine them into rooms. Marisol croaked on my shoulder and tilted her skull puzzled. At least, that room would be safe from attacks? It should have been a calming thought, but the note, that my personal safety would hinge on magic, sour it. And that this Vladescu was a magic-user of course. Maybe it was better, that there wouldn`t be time to delve over that matter too much. As the old woman asked us, if we neded anything, I shook my head. "No, I am fine with going to my room. Is there still hot water available that late? or have other guests already used it up?" |

--- Liliana --- I raised my brow as I anticipated a fitting answer from the senior lady. However, much to my disappointment, the confinement within the room is enforced, there is no way for me to leave out of the very confines. My lips curl a little in disappointment, inevitably. Still, my prior question of magic research has given fruit, as the lady assured me of the of the presence of a magic barrier that should prevent any evidence of my magic practice from leaking out. Much to my pleasure as well, the addition of being provided with additional materials and books should prove invaluable to drive my attention away form the confinement. This reminds a little much of my previous status, but it should suffice as personally, I wish to deepen my research as well. "How about some erotica as well?" That sudden statement from Gau made my expression cringe, as I immediately withheld my expressions over that vulgar statement with typical Gau-like timing. "Boo~ You are no fun." I believe they do not have any here, especially not from such a hotel, you darned doll. After calming myself down a little, I gave my approval for the arrangement. "Then, may I ask for books on basics of magic as well as theory.... That would be all I need..." My voice trailed off as I glanced once again towards Ilsa, I wonder what this forgotten would make of her situation. Anyway, not for me to matter at the moment, I have still yet to confirm her involvement with me. |

--Arthur-- Just as I licked clean the last of the cookie crumbs from my fingers I could hear a muffled voice from the other side of my door and felt my heart sink. "Bring it down." Oh dear Goddess no. Not that cow- there was a hiss from behind the door (oh bloody fires it's explosive ma-) BANG! Jumping slightly, I watched as splinters and smoke blasted into the room- well there goes the door- And from out of the smoke entered the Prime Minister herself, like a demon out of Hell, dusting herself off as if she made it a habit to break in and enter other people's property. Plain grey suit, red lips, pale face, black soulless eyes and a cold, expressionless look that settled on my own as my frown deepened. "I should have that Ge arrested for treason for not opening the door. And YOU, Arthur Pendragon... Britannia is falling apart because your 'sweet, gentle, young Queen' decided to go on vacation without notice and you just stand there eating cookies. I should have you arrested for treason." Of course. Of course it had to be a lecture. I bit my tongue before retorting that well no, I was quite comfortably sitting and eating my cookies, not standing, and what business was it of hers anyway how I ate my cookies- My lip curled as she took one of the cookies from the plate, bit into it and spat it out, "simply hideous." Oh, no you didn't, I thought furiously. Mary -and her cooking- was cherished by both I and Lizbeth, we wouldn't have some clown rolling in her insulting her- The Prime Minister walked towards me, shoes clacking on the ground, and I leaned back in my chair, trying to affect an air of superiority, hands resting firmly on the Grimoire: I won't be cowed in my own backyard... She then proceeded to assail me with yet another of her famous lectures: how dare the Queen saunter off on the eve of an extremely important event, the world is in uproar, and of course I am to blame because I am the Royal Advisor and it's my duty to stiop Lizbeth from wandering off, blah, blah blah: "Listen up, Mister Pendragon. I can tell you also did not know about Her Majesty's plan to disappear. But I also know you knew she was planning something. I mastered all six Forgotten Abilities and that includes Cold Reading. You can't lie to me, nor hide anything from me. So you may not know where she is, but you know why she disappeared and what she is doing, therefore you also know how to find her. And you better do that, otherwise I'll gather every soldier we have across the Kingdom and put them in full force to find the Queen, even if it means invading other countries. I'll do anything in my power to have her sitting in that crystal throne of hers; I'll chain her to it if I have to." She stood up and walked to the door. Before leaving, she turned herself to Arthur and said: "You have two days and nothing more. Fail on that, and the I shall declare wars to find her. Or should I do that already because you are an incompetent Adviser?" I let a moment of silence settle between us as she stared at me by the door, until finally I couldn't hold it in any longer and scoffed, waving my hand flippantly, "My dear, if you're first reaction to any little crisis is to shoot a man's head of, I suggest you abdicate. Declaring war in a state of panic will only prove how little control you have of the situation and do no favours for the country, or will you meaninglessly spill blood over a hopeless crusade? You, more than anyone, are aware that she is the Avatar of the Goddess - there is no one better at assuring they won't be found, so your little war will ultimately be pointless. Since I am an Advisor, how about I advise you to calm down and practice damage control instead?" --Merlin-- I always admired when Arthur used his sharp tongue of his, but I also could feel his deep uneasiness. The Prime Minister was right, she could tell he knew what she was up to...that Arthur knew more than he was letting on, and that Arthur was diverting attention to her threat instead in order to hide that. I watched as they wordlessly glared at the other: Arthur was right, but she was also aware he had very little ground to stand on either - he had to try and find her. Rather than reply, she merely levelled him with an appraising look before leaving, the unspoken threat left hanging in the air: If you don't find her in 2 days there will be consequences. Finally she left, and I watched Arthur groan and slouch into his chair, pulling his half-moon spectacles off and pinching the bridge of his nose. I padded over to him, paused, then climbed up onto his lap, hoping to convey some of my natural warmth to him. He groaned and began to pet me, allowing my warmth to envelop him. "What a mess we're in..." he muttered. We both prayed she would be back in 2 days. Edited by Aria la Ciel, Sep 21 2013, 05:02 PM.

Annabel Brine turned to the two guards that escorted her to the room. "Repair that door." she said coldly. The two guards chanted a spell and undone the harm they did to the door. She turned her back to the room she had her meeting with the Advisor and walked away through the crystalline corridors of the Adamas Palace. The Adamas Palace was the Queen's residence and seat of power in London. Located in the center of the capital, the Palace is the symbol of power and royalty of Queen of Britannia. Befitting its name, the Palace was made of crystals, although it was not purely diamonds. Yet, the shining crystalline exterior and interior of the castle gave it the most majestic of looks. The clacking sounds of Annabel's shoes against the crystal floor echoed through the halls of the Palace as she stomped firmly. Followed by the two magician guards, the Prime Minister went down a long stair. The clacking sound only stopped when she stopped before a large door at the end of a long, tall hallway. The door was engraved with many sigils and markings of strong magic. "Wait outside," she told the guards, who bowed deeply. The Prime Minister opened the door, which was unbelievably light despite its size, and walked into the room. The room that came after was the longest and largest of the rooms. Pillars of crystal ascended like trees towards the tall ceiling, forming oppressive arcs above those who stood bellow. In the middle, going from the door to the back, there was a long and wide red carpet. And on the other end of the room stood the Adamas Throne, made of pure crystals and in shades of pink. Annabel stopped right in front of it. "He lies, he knows," the voice spoke next to her. She turned to look at the bald man in pale white skin and a all white Victorian attire. His eyes were blindfolded. The only color in his figure was the deep-red blush on his cheeks. He grinned a creepy, wild grin. "That's clear as day, darling Yorick," Annabel replied, without even glancing at the man. "But he does not know it all. Our young Queen has left him in the dark on some parts." This time, Annabel turned to man, who still grinned madly. She held Yorick's hand. "Tell me, my darling. You, who knows the deepest of me, tell me. What should I do?" The shadow of worry crossed the Arcanus face, but his grin did not fade. He sighed and said. "Annie, my dear, my master... we are one and the same. You know what I know. I don't need to tell you." "I need to hear it. Say it," she ordered coldly, still without letting go of his hand. Yorick pressed her hands gently and spoke. "We need begin the preparations..." His grin got wilder. ------------------------ Liliana & Ilsa ------------------------ "Yes, there's still hot water available, Fräulein Bergmann," the old woman nodded. "And your books shall be arranged, Fräulein Amrasepher. Now if you may." The old lady gestured them to follow her. She guided her two guests to behind the stuffed bear and led them through twin stairs that led to a balcony on the second floor, overlooking the main lobby. She took the women through a door and a short hallway, stopping in front of two doors facing each other. She opened the doors to reveal identical rooms, just like on almost any hotel. Despite the hotel's name, there was little bear-themed stuff on the rooms, with only a small bear statue on the night stand and a fake bear carpet. However, the room itself was very fancy, well illuminated and in white and yellow colors. The bed was queen size and there was a reasonably large TV facing it. Adjacent to each room, there was a bathroom with a bathtub. "Your room will be this one, Fräulein Amrasepher," she said, gesturing to the room on the right. As to indicate the woman's efficiency, on the desk bellow the window on the room, there was a pile of books and papers on magic and a human-sized dummy. "I thought you would also like something to target during your practices." Then, turning to Ilsa and gesturing to the door on the left. "This one is yours, Fräulein Bergmann. As I said before, your means of communication to the outside world will be cut once you are inside the rooms. But in case you need anything, you can use that phone on the nightstand. I'll be answering it myself. Don't be shy and call me for whatever you need." Then, she walk past the two women back to the way they came, turned around back at them and bowed. "Until Trinitas Eve. Enjoy your stay," and just as she appeared to them, she disappeared through an ice door that broke into tiny ice cubes as she went past it. Edited by Sonwe, Sep 28 2013, 06:39 PM.

Rakha "Yes, that I'll do, Miss Liza." Without further ado, I leave the room, still thinking about what should I do. Absentmindedly, I told Mrs. Elliott to sign the documents. Definitely, going right now would lessen the pain of farewells and separation... Not to mention I won't meet them for long time after this. "...So, what kind of offer she gives you so that you decide to go willingly under her care?" I nearly jumped from the voice alone. Alice can never stop amaze me with her sharpness. "Is it even your business?" "It is. You are my big brother. We've shared room for several since the first time we adopted here. At least that's until you grow too big and become maturer." I sighed in defeat. She... she defeated me yet again. Just with her words, she managed to make me admit defeat. "....I can't tell you the details." "That's enough. I can deduce." "...Can you?" "You have no idea," she smiled and leaned on the wall. "So basically, it'll be a lie if you doesn't get adopted because they doesn't want your muscles. It's rare to have someone as big as you... I don't know other Mythos, but definitely, your muscles is oversized, and it packs strength that is in no way small." I cringed of how close she is to the fact. "From that deduction, you're recruited for military activity... but from the way you seem willingly surrender yourself means it's a superpower that would ensure the orphanage's prosperity... So tell me..." Her face, although beautiful, looks totally terrifying with that certain aura of coldness... "...What...the...fuck...has...you...done?" Lux and Brae "Let's get this over with." I decided. I fly first to my room, motioning Brae to do the same. However, she seem less willing. "...One thing," I overheard she asked, "will I able to contact my brother via phone and vice versa?" |

[Ilsa] I followed the woman deeper inside the hotel, but also kept in mind, not to walk in front of these two magic-users. Even if a tiny, little voice in the back of my head reminded me, that it would have been stupid and counterproductive to harm me as an Chosen of the Queen, I couldn`t take my caution. I was deadbeat and that made me even more vulnerable. A thought which caused my mood to darken a bit. But that only lingered, until we reached our assigned rooms. The Vladescu would probably very happy to see, that her book-wishes had been granted that fast. On a note I wondered, if that would mean additional noise, that could interrupt my planed sleep. I stiffled another yawn. But judging from my condition, Miss Amrasepher could let her room detonate and I wouldn`t flinch much, since I tended to sleep like the death. Upon entering the bedroom, I could see, how Marisol quickly placed herself on top of the bear-statue on the nightstand, while I moved further to the bathroom. And I was pleased to see, that the bathroom even had a bathtub in it. Not that I planned on having a full bath,- chances would have been that I drowned by mistake due my drowsiness-, but taking a shower would be possible. How much my stiff muscles ached for that kind of luxury. Not to mention, that the boot didn`t had a shower on it and in some inns the horid conditions of the bathrooms themselves, had annihilated any longing to take on there. While letting the water flow over me, certain thoughts began to circle in my mind. I imagined replying questions, if I would be asked to report. People could have debated, what kind of useful preparation it was, that I had decided to shower and not train like the little Miss Vampire. Well, first I wasn`t a magic-user, so there was no way to train myself in that fashion. Dummies wouldn`t help me with my set of abilities. Second, trying to activate my skills on purpose, when I was already that tired, would be dangerous and stupid. Third and last, as long as I was still emotionaly shaken about the chase in the subtunnels, I wouldn`t achieve the required concentration, to acomplish anything useful. Beside taking a shower and walking into bed. So in that argumenation, I would have a kind of solid defense, if somebody would try to accuse herself of laziness. For a second the question ringed in my head, if I should maybe sqeeze dinner in between showering and going to bed. Who knew, if the next day or days, would allow it for a peaceful meal? The hotellady had said, that the would be separated until Trinitas Eve, but that didn`t mean, that something from the Outside world, couldn`t try to force it`s way inside this hotel. Shivering,- not only from the fact, that the water had run cold-, I shut the water off and wrapped a towel around me. If that would have been a b-movie, now a serial-killer, burglar or demented mage on the run, would now have jumped through the window. I shook my head and started to wring my hair. Why had I even bothered, making such stupid scenarios in my head? Looking back at the pile of my dirty clothes, I could feel no obligation, to put them back on. They were sweaty, dirty and they were stinking. While drying my hair and walking back to the bedroom, I eyed the big tv-screen. Maybe I should combine my late dinner with a movie to calm down my nerves? So I went over to the bedside that had the phone on it and picked it up. "Hello? Room 055 here. I need to know, where my luggage has gone. In case I misheard and it will be send to london, I need at least 2 changes of daily clothes, nice-fitting boots and-" My list went on, including socks and a change of underwear." "And I need something light for dinner- But first the clothes, plaese!" 'No need to weighten myself down like a stone, just because I am half-starving.' I rolled my eyes at my own description, before continuing: "And a good movie....maybe you have some in your selection? Like 'Last Unicorn'? Or maybe 'Little duckling'?" Yes, when I needed to calm down; I was a sucker for children-movies. Couldn`t help it. Beside, Last unicorn was a classic children-movie. |
