"Very well. The Gun Minstrel had taken over one of our sacred grounds for looting, and killed only one of our most promising warriors to his strange fighting style. Many others were injured from his escape tricks with those...turrets," Yagar answers with distaste. "There is one way, but he has refused," Yagar went on to answer the second question. "That is to take place of our fallen warrior, love the widow and give birth to mighty young warriors and defend the tribe with his very life as we all do." |

Rune chuckled from the answer he got. "Man, I could start a new kingdom if those were the real rules. With a harem of hundreds females I think I could spend the rest of my life having fun." He tried to turn their attention to him, and besides, he did killed many beastmen when he was still in his homeland. "Alas, I was hoping to prolong our conversation. But it seems we're coming to the deciding point, here's my last question: How can I gain enough favor from you and your tribesmen to change that rule?" as we're in a new page, I wanted to list my current inventory. 1 sniper rifle, 1 pistol on the ground. 4 C4s, 7 smoke grenades (including the one in his hand.), 19 grenades A half cartridge of bullets inside the laying pistol. --> 7 bullets. 4 cartridge minus 1 bullet for the sniper rifle. ---> 55 bullets. 1 energy reactor-fully charged. How many bullets per cartridge for the pistol and the sniper rifle? EDIT: give exact amount of the ammunition Edited by SwordXRequiem, Jul 7 2013, 06:03 PM.

"We are a tribe. We must have warriors to defend and hunt. Changing that rule is not up to I, but the elders of our tribe," Yagar was shocked to hear such a taboo idea. Dormar resented the idea, as did the other two, saying that the balance of the tribe could falter in favor of other species if they gave up a small, but significant ruling. Yagar looked at Emilia, as if saying sorry to have dragged her into this issue, but his pride won't allow him to be swayed so easily. I forgot about the C4s lol. 14 bullets per cartridge. If curious for the oddly double amount from modern versions, it's the size of the cartridge and the pistol and utilizing a "simple" rotation mechanics. It uses air pressure when one bullet exits the cartridge to the barrel, that the forced air is acutely funneled to push the last bullet on ball roller chains. Of course for having air-proofing chambers, it can't be used in water for losing the air pressure from the gun itself. Same thing for space situations. Though, modern versions are available, but they have similar limitations as does this one. Sound good so far? |

Rune sighed, his right hand has taken the pin from the smoke grenade. "Yeah, I knew it would end like this. You are an honest and prideful person, a few with the qualities I hoped had lie inside me. As a payment of your three answers, I shall tell you my three hopes. I wish our next meeting would be in a better situation than today, I wish by that time the problem has been resolved and I wish we will meet again as a friend," he said to Yagar as he cooked his grenade. Rune ended his sentence with a sad tone. Those wishes truly come from his heart, if only they met in a friendly start then Rune would gladly accept Yagar as a friend. Rune loosened his grip. The smoke grenade spit out smoke in mid-air, quickly engulfing both parties in a curtain of smoke. Rune didn't waste a single second since the grenade fell from his hand. He grabbed Emilia and run toward his gun. "I'm terribly sorry, Yagar. Unfortunately, the Gun Minstrel himself has confirmed his identity to me. Please go back before the smoke run out and the turrets start shooting at you. You can have my words, I will do my best to meet you after I finished my current business," he screamed as he ran. As he approached his pistol, he put Emilia down. Unlike Tepo, he didn't have what it takes to run a few hundreds meter while lifting a fully grown woman. He take his pistol and put it back in the holder. "Let's regroup with Mai and Tepo for now." He run back to the camp while sending Tepo an e-mail telling him to regroup. If what you mean wasn't about the situation Rune currently in, then yes, so far so good. The cartridge and the gun system are standards ![]() You might want to add the detail in the weapon list though, so the other won't ask the same question. Yagar looked at Rune with a curious look, as few humans would be as sincere as this one. Having not realized that Rune used that opportunity to cook the smoke grenade, and released it, the area became a massive blanket of smoke, rendering the targeting sensors on the turrets useless for now. "Wait!" Yagar called out. Much to Yagar and his party about Rune knowing where the Gun Minstrel is, they knew if they followed, it would spell disaster for them. They fled back to the main road, going back to their tribe to tell them of all that's transpired. The tribe wouldn't know until close to lunch time. The darkness begins to brighten up, though the sunlight is yet visible for the moment. Rune and Emilia return back to the campsite with a worried Mai and an alerted Tepo. "Mother!" "I'm fine Mai. We must get out of here, and fast." "Ah, hell. Why did you have to cause a stir?" Tepo mumbled as he followed everybody. On the rear side of the camp, there's a trail that leads to Grotto Village, but a more scenic route. |

| "Well, don't blame me for killing a beastmen and leave the problem as it were nothing. Let's go to Grotto Village for now. We'll have our breakfast there," Rune countered Tepo's complain. Rune let Emilia lead the way. |

Emilia nodded and led everybody down the scenic route back onto the path past the tribal pastures. They really didn't want to go in there after what happened a little before hand. As the sun began to show sliver rays of light, it wasn't long before they finally made it to Grotto Village. Much of the buildings were made out of heated clay and shaped into dome-sized features with chimneys on top. The was nobody in sight. Were they just asleep still? Emilia mentioned as such, as they tend to do rituals in the Grotto late at night. "Guess this is it," Emilia started her farewell. "Thank you Rune, Tepo, for your help in saving my daughter." "Yes, thank you, sirs," Mai takes a small bow. |

"Oh, I guess we did skip breakfest after what happened earlier," Emilia realized the facts. "Yeah, I'm use to the luck of others," Tepo sighs. Emilia whips her bag open and grabs a few things in each hand, giving Rune and Tepo their...options. "Well, I couldn't bring enough for how fast you asked me to meet you, Rune. So here's what I have. A couple loaves of bread with berry jam, and this one canteen of water." ----------------------------------------------------------- Feat of Strength: Reaching to the starting area of a previous RP. ----------------------------------------------------------- |

"That'll be enough, thanks. Be careful next time so we won't have to help you again." Rune accepted the food from Emilia. He actually planned to resupply their items in Grotto, but seeing as everyone is still asleep while they have pursuers in their back it isn't a viable option. The ritual also caught Rune's attention for a moment, it sounds fishy to his ears. Despite his intention to stay, Rune opted not to do it. They have waste to much time in doing the task Ratchet gave him. "Maybe next time," he whispered to himself. "Let's walk while we eat our breakfast. We don't have much time to waste with those beastmen searching for us. Please lead the way, Tepo," Rune said to Tepo while giving him his share of breakfast. |

"Of course, thank you again, Rune, Tepo," Mai's mother gave her heart felt thanks.r As Rune and Tepo departed, Tepo was fine with the walk and eat routine. It's been one crazy detour after all. Tepo really did miss the booze back at the guild still. As the two kept walking, Tepo informs Rune of a scenic route in front of them that'll curve back to the salvage site and see what happened to the missing contact. It was only a 2 hour walk, but looking down hill into the submerged valley before them, there was all sorts of metallic platforms, mechanical arms of old on tarps, and various sized crates. The only problem is that there's no humming of activity down below. No worker in sight either. |

"No, it's suppose to be lively down there," Tepo informs without much expression either. "Couldn't even find a crawl space to drink my spirits in this graveyard." Tepo leads Rune on down the hill and step onto a catwalk that crosses above the excavated surface ruins. Touching onto the main platform, there was only a solid metal door a little to their right. To their left is another catwalk to a different section of the ruins, and to the right of the door, is another catwalk to a platform. Looks like a man-made cavern was drilled through in that direction. A moan wisps from behind the door. |

Rune looked at the ruins which reminded him of his homeland. Ruins were a common thing to find in Ilyenn Scarr with all the war going on there. He let a minute of nostalgia running through him. His last battlefield was also a ruins. Some legends said the town was once a prosper trading post. Rune never knew the truth thought, it was already in tatters when his squad arrived there to defend it against its final siege. He had finished his recalling of memories by the time he and Tepo got into the catwalk. He wondered what had caused his task to become this big. All Rachet asked him was to find a certain man. Somehow it turned out into searching a whole village worth of people. On second thought, it is easier to find a bunch of human than one. The faint moan was clear enough for Rune keen hearing. The silence atmosphere of the ruin played a big role on this, without it Rune wouldn't be able to catch it. He quickly make a gesture telling Tepo to be quiet and careful. Then he took out his pistol in his right hand before trying to open the door. |

| Taking all the necessary ways of a soldier's training, Rune opened that door carefully, revealing a half-starved man slumped against the wall next to the door. The guy's face slowly turned and up to see Rune and Tepo. Much of his cheeks were pale, thinned considerably and half-conscious. |

"Uh, right," Tepo was fazed for a moment at such a crazy sight. Not ever did he see somebody struggling to live like that. They usually were either healthy or dead. Tepo took out a small stash of jerky and his water pouch, offering the water first, then the jerky. The engineer chugged the water like his life depended on it, rolling towards the living more so now. "What the hell happened here?" Tepo asked. Taking a piece of jerky, the guy chewed before replying. "We were excavating the ruins down below." The engineer took another bite. "Our senior archeologist had been studying an alter for...a while." Losing consciousness, the man began to slumber for fatigue. "Hey, hey! What happened to Professor Herman? Damn it!" Tepo uses COMMON to update Rune on the survivor. "Ok, so I should at least tell you who we're looking for exactly. Professor Herman is the guy's name. He was last heard of studying an alter in the ruins below ground. Who knows what's down there." Placing an auto-turret near the unconscious man, Tepo wirelessly hacked into the guy's unencrypted COMMON, and gain a map and some research notes. He resumed to catch up to Rune. Tepo sends you a map of the place. The current floor contains the living quarters, the mess hall, and the sick bay. According to the map, the next set of stairs to B2 is next to the sick bay area. From there, B3 has a couple of tunnels. The rightmost tunnel leads to the ruin, whereas the leftmost tunnel leads to a mining cavern. The map won't update until Rune and/or Tepo move closer in. "Alter? What's that? Must be one of those scientific-things-scientist-would-sacrifice-their-lives-for I presume? Anyway, I'm gonna take a look in the sick bay. Just meet me there. If anyone here survived like that guy then he'll be there. Besides, if no one is there then at least we will have some medical supplies." Even with he that said, Rune never expected finding another survivor in this place. All he wants was stocking items for their next task. It didn't take long for him to reach the sick bay. Still with his gun in his hand, he opened the door to the sick bay. |

"Huh?" Tepo was surprised to hear that outta Rune. After a few silent moments, Tepo responds again. "An alter is a place of worship. You know, a few little tile stairs up to a marble table, or the alter, decorated with religious stuff. I heard some shady rumors that the Logomian government has an occult division. Crazy crap too." Tepo simply acknowledged to meet up in the sickbay. Rune opens the door, expertly aiming his gun around as he quickly surveyed the modest sized room. The room was dark, but with the light flooding in from outside, Rune could make out a couple of desks immediately to his left, privacy curtains further back to his left, a surgery table with something tied down on it, and medical supplies organized on shelves to his immediate right and further back right. If Rune motions his hand alongside the wall next to the door, a light switch can make things easier to see. |

Rune honestly doesn't knew about an alter. Religion has never spread in his homeland because of the constant war and rapid technology deployment. All he knew about religion is only the basic idea of it. Any rituals, tools, or whatsoever is clearly out of his head. Because of that, Rune didn't replied Tepo's explanation. Without enough lights, Rune couldn't start searching around. Fortunately, the light from outside is bright enough for him to see the light switch. He immediately turned it on to have a better sight of the scene. |
