Taking the route for a few hours, the scenery is nice at least, with wheat fields, forested areas, and clear skies.

As Lyan finally arrived as his destination, he could see a sea of wheat. Apparently, it's a staple food here. It reminds him of the Powte grains... a type of wheat in Altiverse, signified by their very soft texture that could be easily grind into flour. Golden sun in here felt a bit different from Altiverse's orange sun... It make the wheat farm looks like sea of gold. The contrast of yellow and green of the forest also looks very artistic...

"...If only you could see this..." he whispered.

Activating his common and taking out his weapon, Lyan proceed to see if there's anything worthwhile here...

"Shut up merchant! We will wait until the Logomian Representative comes and fry your asses."

Lyan could hear some cursing and arguments in the near distance. He would have to take the side road off of the Western Trade Route to a small campsite right outside the forested trees.

Lyan followed the source of voice. Something about traders? Could it be his mission? He broke into sprint and find sort of camp of soldiers. Apparently, they're in such dreadful lock with the traders. "...Excuse me Gentlemen." he tried to make his presence known. "I'm the representative sent by Logoma City. Please, calm down and let's talk with cool head."

"It's about frick'in time! What took your sweet time?" The same voice from before matched up to what appears to be the captain of the Sol Republic soldiers in this camp.

The other soldiers wore traditional medieval armors with no sign of any noticeable high tech equipment that you noticed from Ratched Customs. The captain wore more decorative armor.

"Oh, thank heavens you made...it?" The merchant saw the appendages coming out of Lyan's back.

He and his associates weren't sure, but their COMMONs do say he is indeed the Logomian Representative to this case.

"What is this creature?!" The captain was even more in an uproar, giving a death stare to the merchant. "What kind of experiments are you people doing?!?"

"Hey listen up... I took my time to prepare stuff... Like you think I would come here unprepared? I'm representative, not some super human." Lyan sarcastically replied. The merchant instead looks very thankful that he indeed come... only to be confused upon looking his appendage. Huffing indignantly at the captain's outburst, Lyan took out his iron armor and bang body of his spear to it, creating loud noise.

"...Chill. I'm not experimental subject. I'm me, and I'm never experimented on. As much as I tolerate randomness... I don't like your tone, Sir. That could qualify as bigotry in my place. Now have you both chilled down? Tell me the problem and I'll try my best to help."

"Hmph," the captain simply replied.

The merchant spoke up.

"Well, you see, sir. These Sol Ruplicans don't utilize COMMONs like we do, so they don't think you're our representative, errr..." the merchant got himself distracted and changes the subject.

"Forget I mentioned that. The REAL problem is that these soldiers were haggling us too low of a price on our goods. We tried to negotiate, but they took the claymore and took us hostage."

"A Steel claymore for 1,000 Leafs? That's extortion, you pig!"

"You forget that there's a tariff," the Merchant reminds him.

"The tariff doesn't CHARGE that much!"

"Thank you for your explanation, Good Sir." Lyan thanked him politely. "Alright, can someone bring me the goods? I need to at least appraise . Then I'll take further action. Until then, no one may protest without my permission. If you want to protest, do it civilly and coolly, OK?"

Lyan turned to the merchant."Well, Sir, if you don't mind, would you give me little briefing about the product? The materials and the cost, plus the number of this product... and where it made and the material cost. That is all."

If I'm in shoe of the buyer, compared to my necklace, this one is hella cheaper... I'd bought it...

One of the soldiers brings the steel claymore, sheath and all. He drops it to Lyan's feet.

"I mean the claymore is indeed made out of steel. It was made in the workshop near Ratched Customs, and I only made 3. I guess it cost me 400 Leafs to manufacture them."

The captain chimes in with a more mellow frustration.

"Steel is plentiful in these lands, stranger. We export steel from our homeland to Logoma in hopes to pay for our citizens to have COMMONs and such."

"To manufacture... about 400 Leaf... all three of this? Then how much you bought the material to make this sword?" Lyan lifted it, although kind of struggling to. Blame his power, duh. He unsheathe it and tried to appraise the quality. He pull a grass from the ground and rub it to blade of the sword lightly. He waits for the reaction.

"Well I forgot the cost of the materials, good sir, I'm sorry I can't help you on that account," the merchant apologizes. "Again all three of them had cost 400 Leafs."

The soldiers were more pissed hearing that, knowing the merchant had to be lying again.

As Lyan pulled a string of grass from the ground, he rubs it along the blade lightly. It wasn't the cleanest of cuts, but it did cut the grass after being rubbed for a little longer period of time than expected.

"...Well then I have to call a little... ah, friend." immediately, he acted quick and bringing in the operator. He hoped to call Miro about this little ordeal. "...Pardon for calling this late, but I ponder if you could do a favor for me, Miss Miro? I need data about certain irons... From Sol Republics... If you don't mind, I need the data of the buy price for it... And the pieces needed to make a Steel Claymore."

By the result of it, maybe it's grade C... something like low quality... Not acceptable in his world's standard. He plucked another leaf and rub it on his appendage, that immediately cut it into two. Silence passed as Lyan suspected the merchants to be the lying party here.

"Oh, hey Lyan. Let me clean up here real quick," being put on hold there was some water running and some muffled sounds.

The soldiers can't tell what Lyan's doing, growing even more impatient.

"What is he doing? Talking to his imaginary friend?" The captain mocked with his men joining in the banter.

"Sorry about that Lyan, so Steel Claymore, huh? Well..." Lyan could hear more muffled sounds in the background. "...According to my sources, the market value for a Sol Republican made steel claymore is 250 Leafs, but classified as D-grade quality usually, while Logomian quality is usually B-grade or higher. Oh, sorry, I got to run. Have fun shopping, and don't buy our Sol Republican made equipment...they suck~."

The phone message had ended. Clearly, Miro didn't know Lyan was on an mission and assumed he was at Ratched Customs...

"Well according to my friend, apparently, each of it costs about 250 leaf... Yeah, this steel claymore cost about that... You seriously ask them to pay for 1000 Leaf each, Sir? My world standard, this item would risk life of the client. You can lose your head thanks to it, and the government just never care about it. Assuming that all you need to do seem simply just board the train, 1000 Leaf is really overkill... like seriously... Do you have anything to be your defense?"

"That's the Sol Republicans' manufacturing cost for a steel claymore! I'm telling you it was made in Logoma with more dedication to crafting weapons. Why are you taking their side? Aren't you here to beat the crap outta these ruffians?"

"Watch your tongue merchant!" the captain flared up again, with more mumbling from his men.

The atmosphere flares up higher than when Lyan first arrived on the scene. Lyan's aura alerts him a fight could happen at any point now.

"OK, OK, enough! If you truly mean that, then you have no problem telling me where you bought the steel, where you paid it and all. If you're telling about 'it's trade secret' bullshit, the you might as well as forget it all, and cancel the whole transaction! That way, no one felt robbed at all!"

His eyes turned at the Captain again. "...If they still want to be selfish and told me it's a secret, then bring all three samples here, and lemme ask. Captain, is there is a B-grade weapon on your possession?"

He turned back at the merchant. "I'm not doing this only for their sake, It's for you, too. I'm trying to make you to not lose customer, although at this point it's seem nearly on the end of the line. I heard there're conflict between us and them, so least we need is you spark another conflict! Now calm down!"

Lyan waited for their reaction before he sat on the ground and pull more grass leaf.

"Alright, fine, fine," The merchant gave up with a hissy-fit and started to speak more in earnest. "That claymore was originally a D-grade Sol Republican variety I found from a dead scout a while back from some battlefield. I DID use the Logoma workshop and added an alloy. It rated as a C+ quality, which is close enough to a B-grade. It took more time to restore that and the other two blades, which is why I charged more for them."

"I would call it 'C-' Merchant," the captain started to grow more tired of this pain. "I own such a grade, yes, but not purchased from this merchant."

The captain started to round up his men.

"We're leaving, forget them and let's return. We've wasted enough time here."

As the merchant began to collect his lower quality claymore, the captain came over to Lyan, towering over him as Lyan was sitting and pulling the grasses.

"For a stranger, I should be grateful to you for defending my honor. But, if I may request, please arrest that merchant for breaking the trading agreement between our city-states. Only then will I feel at peace about this."

"I'm on it." Lyan replied on his mother tongue and cursed, clearly on all this predicament. "I know how it feel to scammed by low quality item. To be honest, one of my friend died from such scam of a merchant... Now Mr. Merchants, I want you to tell me your names and show me your merchant pass or something like that. Do cooperate please, or it'll only backfire on you and add severity to your punishment."

He called Milli this time. "...Hello, Boss? I'm done over here... the merchants indeed extort too much. May I turn them in for breaking city trade agreement?"

The head merchant and his fellow merchants remained silent. Staring, not the reaction Lyan was hoping for.

"Permission granted, Lyan. According to Article 5, Section 1, Paragraph 1 of the Sol-Logoma Trading Accord: 'Any merchant in possession of illegal items of military or cultural value, or performed extortion tactics will be arrested and trialed.'"

"Alright then... I hope you guys going to be nice merchants~ I would hate it if I have to make you unconscious." again, Lyan pointed the dull end of the spear to the merchant, not using the sharp tip for some reason. "Follow me to tram, then."
