Name: Grace 'The Dame' Míller Age: 72 Gender: Female Faction: Civilian Appearance: While The Dame naturally stands at 5'5'', she usually wears high heels, which make her 5'10'' tall and she weighs 119 lbs. Due to her age, her white skin is very wrinkled, but still kept very tidy. Her white hair is one inch long, but she keeps it in a hair knot. Her oval face has a gray-green pair of down turned eyes, a straight-edged sharp nose, thin lips and hollow cheeks. She is rarely seen without any make-up, most notably a dark red lip color. Her standard attire usually is a modest dress of some sort, she possesses 49 different dresses in varying color and shape, high heels that are mostly 5 inches long, occasionally black gloves, and a ring with a green emerald on her left ring finger. She occasionally can be seen wearing a gray jogging suit when she does her round in the morning and the evening. Biography: The Dame was born as Grace Friedmann in a Brockenhurst, England, at the first of January as the third child of German immigrants Sara Friedmann and Karl Friedrich Friedmann. Her siblings were Heinrich, born 1933 in Nürnberg, Germany, William, born 1937 in Brockenhurst and the twins Mary and Henry in 1943 in Brockenhurst as well. Grace spent her youth in Great Britain and was a cheerful child. Even the death of her brother Heinrich from alcohol poisoning in 1951 did not detract from her cheerful demeanour. Though this was a tragedy the family rallied together and just about coped. Grace eventually grew up to be a beautiful young woman and moved with Mary and her husband to Jerusalem, in 1961. Her family was surprised about this decision, but let her go, as Grace wished to “see the World”. One day, she met an American journalist, James Miller, 15 years older than Grace, who was visiting his family, in a cafe. Grace, who worked as a barista there, was approached by James and their common interest in world politics as well as a good chemistry allowed them to become friendy quickly. He returned to the States after a week, but him and Grace kept a correspondence. Late 1961, Grace was invited to visit him in the states, which she did, and while her original plan was to stay two weeks, she ultimately stayed five weeks, at which point James proposed to her. Grace accepted, and prepared to permanently move to San Francisco, where James lived. In 1963, her mother died by drowning in a river, and a few months later, her father committed suicide, since he suffered from an undetected depression, and the mother's suicide only worsen his state of mind. Despite these unfortunate events, Grace suffered no long term consequences on her mind after a healthy period of mourning. In 1965, Grace gave birth to Sara Miller, named after her mother. This birth relieved both James and Grace, as they slowly began to suspect that one of them was infertile. However, Sara remained to be an only child. The family led a happy life, with Grace staying at home, and James working for a newspaper. In 1973, James suffered his first cardiac arrest while working in the bureau, yet he survived it. He had two further ones. One in 1980, again in the bureau, which he survived again, and in 1983, while he was doing a lake trip by himself. The last one killed him. Grace was hit harder than by any previous death of a relative, as she deeply loved James. This lead to her being very impulsive for a while and in a somewhat spontaneous decision, she decided to move to Brockton, Ohio. The choice was completely random, as Grace simply took a large map of the states and blindly fired a dart at Brockton. She arranged her move there, only taking the letters she shared with James, stored in a cedar box, money and some clothing. Sara stayed in San Francisco, shocked by her mother's behavior, but afraid of stopping her, since she was more aggressive and impulsive than usual. In the end, they lost contact. In Brockton, she moved into a relatively small apartment. Her personality also became a little more stable again, although more eccentric. She insisted on being called “The Dame” and simply refused to tell her real name unless necessary and began to show deep affection to the stray cats of the city. However, she realized that the money she took with her would only help her for a few months, and thus began to search for jobs. She found work in a cafe in Main Street, and became well acquainted with the owner. While it only allowed The Dame to live mostly minimalistic, although she spent some saved money on an antique piece of furniture. The years leading to the Riverside Incident were not that eventful, although The Dame became known as one of the biggest gossiper among the citizens. She also started to keep herself in shape by jogging daily. Additionally, she learned how to grew herbs, something she got from the cafe owner. Said owner fled the city once the incident happened. Quickly, The Dame also found her apartment block to be very empty. The reason The Dame survived the infection is because she was quite fit for her age, and had a healthy diet. The night after her uninfected neighbors fled and infected employer was arrested, The Dame walked through the park as means of relaxing. There, she began talking to cats. She noticed that they were all listening intensely that time. Surprised by this, she speculated that she might be infected, and that her power was to talk to cats. She at first asked them if they understood here, which led to no response. After a few seconds she asked if someone could get her a newspaper. One of them, a black Russian Blue mix, complied. Baffled, The Dame returned home to catch some sleep, followed by the black cat. Human and Cat spent a night together, with The Dame testing out what the cat understood. The weeks after that, she not only found another cat who did what she said, a white and rather heavy Maine Coon, but also began scavenging the area for furniture and other aesthetically pleasing objects. Due to weight issues of some furniture, transporting them could took days, even if sometimes some young men helped the old lady. Nowadays, The Dame has a neatly furnished apartment building for herself. Since The Dame trained her cats to be spies for her, she manages to know many secrets. Sometimes people go to her and pay a little price to drink tea with her and listen to what she knows. She demands money or sometimes objects such as weapons and antique pieces of furniture. One should note that it is not good to ask about personal things, like her past, her name, how she gets so much information, her relationship with the city's cats or why she refers to herself as The Dame. She tends to aggressively send people asking that away. Power: The Dame can ask cats to do things for her, and also can request access to their senses, which turns these cats into a sort of spy. However, cats do not always comply, and the white and black cat, named Niveus and Ater, that accompany The Dame seem to be the only ones that usually do what she says. The reason these two cats stay with her is unknown. Starting equipment: Pistol, Machine Gun (No ammunition), multiple Knifes and Forks Edited by Bikriki, Apr 7 2013, 07:02 AM.
