ok, the game i will be reviewing is the ONLY DS game, and i think the #1 best fighter ds game out there for the ds, and thats draglade, now, NO comments that are not related to the game.![]() *ahem* now, to my review: Story: Meh: I won't lie to you. The story isn't amazing. You have 4 heroes, each with their own reason to want to become a Major grapper (a professional music fighter) for their own reasons (dreams, money, reconciling their past...etc). But it's enough to keep you going throughout the story mode (which has awesome action by the way). Graphics: Good: ...I KNOW ITS NOT 3D! But seriously, I find that the Cartoonish graphics add depth to the game, making it feel like it's an Anime. (Heck, after playing this game, I think it DESERVES its own Anime!). You have varied graphics for attacks and skills. Nothing stellar, but it's still quite good. gameplay: Incredible: Oh boy...This is where it goes from good to incredible. It's a Fighting game (get the other guy's Health bar to zero to win), but It has a lot of twists to it. See...the characters don't have much in terms of basic attacks. To dish out major damage, you will usually use bullets (Special skills that you use with the A button.) or you'll use your Beat combo (a series of strikes that must be done in time to a rhythm bar). To put it simply, by pressing the L button, you bring up a bar with crystals in it. By pressing Y just as the crystal reaches the end of the bar, you will do an attack to that "beat". You also deal more damage if you hit your notes more precisely. And here's the kicker...You can completely customize the bullets and beat combos Yes, that's right. For bullets...You can take 6 into battle at once, and there are a TON of bullets you can equip, varying from healing, to laser beams, to giant tuna fish (no joke!) For beat combos, you have this nifty and easy to use screen which lets you make your own personal Beat combo! You just drag, drop, and tap, and you can make a beat combo in a matter of seconds! It's so easy that even a guy with no sense of music can do it without effort! And it's quite rewarding to hear your own personal beat playing as you smack that other guy to pieces. Furthermore, in story mode, you're not just fighting battle after battle. You also get to rock across side-scrolling levels similar to megaman's style. And last but not least... Multiplayer: Great!: . Take everything single player has, and double it. You can do Co-op missions, trade bullets and beat combos, and fight each other. It even has Wi-Fi, although it's just restricted to dueling. So, In my Honest and humble opinion...This is one of the best fighting games for the DS, beating out even the legendary "Bleach, blade of fate". Ill Put Blade Of Fate The 2nd Best Fighter Game For the DS. |
