The Day We Fight Back is the biggest day of action for the end of NSA Mass Surveillance the United States has ever seen. The date of the day of action February 11, 2014 was decided to celebrate the work of Aaron Swartz (1986-2013) who died on January 11, 2013. He was an activist/ Computer programmer that believed in the free exchange of knowledge and information on the internet. Aaron was the one who organized and began the Anti SOPA movement in 2012, which ended up being successful, SOPA/PIPA did not pass through congress, thanks to Aaron and his supporters.

The NSA intercepts the call records, and internet traffic, including audio, video, photographs, documents, chat logs, and emails of every American. Average American citizens not suspected of a crime are also spied on by the NSA, not just criminals. Internet companies such as: Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Apple have been cooperating with the NSA by giving their users their personal information to the NSA. All of which is a violation of every American's Freedoms.

This movement also supports the USA Freedom Acts. The USA Freedom Act ends bulk collection under Section 215 of the Patriot Act. The bill would strengthen the prohibition on "reverse targeting" of Americans—that is, targeting a foreigner with the goal of obtaining communications involving an American. The bill requires the government to more aggressively filter and discard information about Americans accidentally collected through PRISM and related programs.

The movement also supports the FISA Improvement Act: Info here:

Whistleblowers:
Edward Snowden wasn't the only one to reveal the NSA's Mass Surveillance Program. There is about six others. However whistleblowers such as Edward Snowden risk their lives to let the people know that their government is violating their rights. These brave people deserve Amnesty, and should not be persecuted by the government for telling the truth. However they all are in danger.
