Vampires, love them or hate them, they are are a pervasive part of popular culture. Whether the allure comes from the seductive lure of immortality, the struggle between eternal blood lust and ethical determination,...

...or just the chance to be really, really emo.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the angsty bastards. Should this idea got out of the hanger and onto the runway I officially call the mortal who hunts you all down one by one.

Personally, I prefer the old-school variety, with the aversion to sunlight, the stakes, the holy symbols and whatnot.

If we're really fond of hackneyed and stereotypical rivalries, we might throw in some werewolf faction or something.

Woo werewolves! At any rate, with the right plot, it could be an interesting idea.

I thought you might find it amusing Pana. You can be the vicious, bloodthirsty (quite literally), sadistic bastard that slaughters innocents for your own amusement. Fits perfect with your personality doesn't it?

Indeed it does. See why I like them so much?

I would like to see this get off the ground. Though, what kind of werewolves are we talking about here? Lycans, or the really old skool "Wolf Man" werewolves?

What's the difference?

I'm always a fan of all the traditional weaknesses, toxic silver and whatnot.

For the whole moon thing, I was thinking they could force the transformation when they wanted and remain in control, but on the full moon it's involuntary and they are not in control.

As for immortality, I could go either way.

Since I'm too lazy, wiki "Lycan" and wiki "Werewolf", you'll get two different results.

Oh? I always thought the two words were synonyms. Did they come from different mythos?

I hope that's the plural of mythos...

Hm, it seems so.

Alright, I wikied the two, and all I learned that lycans are basically werewolves from Underworld, which I already knew. If that's not what you meant you're going to have to explain it yourself.

Yes, but it's quite obvious that lycans are different from werewolves of folklore. Which is why I asked, as I like lycans more than the old werewolves.

I suppose you're right. Will my version be acceptable?

Plus we still need to decide immortality...

For the most part, I don't mind. Though perhaps most of the werewolves / lycans lose control on the full moon, instead of all, more notablly those who haven't aged as long.

As for immortality, generally both species are immortal. Though the final call would be up to you.

I think I'll go with immortal. Nice counterpart to the Vamps... If we ever get any...

And sure, I guess that would work. With years and years of focus I bet some of the masters might be able to suppress even the full moon to a certain degree. We'll split the difference and say that they all end up having to go through the transformation, but a very few of the most experienced remain in control. Just really, really cranky and aggressive.

Or perhaps they can have specail items that negate the moons efects. And if needed, I can be one of each specie, as both are pure ownage.
