That's just what I had in mind. A version where the virus not only takes control of the corpse after death, but streamlines it and enhances it, making it lighning quick, hard to kill, and fricken' terrifying. |

Alright, here's my plot outline for this. The virus hits an heavily populated urban area and spreads quickly. Before proper military aid can be mobilized the entire city is in the throes of the virus, and as it spreads beyond the city the government tries desperately to contain it but so far to no avail. The characters are among the few to survive, and they mast band together to stay alive. They must either hunker down and wait for rescue, gather strength and resources and try to fight their way out of the city before the infection spreads to far for them to outrun, or try to carve for themselves a new life in this new, zombie controlled world. And maybe, perhaps, find some way to stop this virus before it consumes the world. We each make one survivor. The survivors may either be related to each other in some way or totally separate from one another, meeting each other for the first time in their struggles for survival. From there, they would have to consolidate their strength and look for more survivors until they're ready to pursue a course of action. I even thought up a kickass name for the thing: Necrophobia |

If you put it that way, yes. It was the zombie plot I got the most support for. If you have any ideas to make it better, by all means, go ahead. |

Well why not just make it a zombie plot instead of a post-apocalyptic. Maybe the two can sort of intertwine, though. |

What do you mean? Zombies are a sub-genre of the post-apocalyptic genre anyway, the zombies are the apocalypse. |
