So flowing along the lines of what I mentioned before? Why not make it more fun? Everyone tags up with a partner, and each one creates the same person, just from the other dimension. Then we'd have to decide whose dimension they'd go to, the differences, and what the plot would be that would keep the roleplay going other than "Oh, there's other dimensions. Sweet."

Well, not exactly along the lines you laid down, but I took what I like from your mind-burst and added elements of my own.

I don't think that that the way I did it was limited in terms of plot. There are all sorts of plot driving problems to be solved. Why did the dimensional rifts open in the first place? Did someone make them? What would be their agenda? How do the displaced alternates intend to get home?

Your partner idea is innovative, but it would probably be very difficult to make work. There are problems that arise when you have two people playing facets of one character. First, I know for a fact that people on this board have very different tastes in characters. Think of a character I would play, then think of a character Pana would play, and they try and make them the same person. Another issue is the sheer lack of people on the board. If we get everyone on the board to join, which I find unlikely, and they each make part of a pair, then we end up with only about three pairs.

However, you have definitely piqued my interest, and I would like to see what the others think.

I'd just like to ask you all to take a re-read through this topic, if you would. I think Winter and I may have been going somewhere... Start with Post #6.
