(I used Luke's special method for devising names to come up with this. It turns out it actually works, although now my forehead now has a number of square imprints on it.) Name:Sadal Frahlen Age: 16 Class: Padawan Appearance: Sadal was always moderately tall for his age but never did bulk out, giving him a slightly out of proportion appearance. His blond hair hangs down to his shoulders, growing straight without needing to be combed. A small mutation causes his left eye to be green, while the right is blue. His eyes dart in every direction and his fingers begin to fidget when he becomes nervous. Generally, he sticks to traditional robes of his rank. His lightsaber is a typical shade of green, and he keeps it attached to his belt in a fairly simple arrangement. Sadal learned during his training that he was ambidextrous, so he is working on acquiring or building a second lightsaber to compliment the first. Paternal Relations: As near as anyone can tell, nobody in the long line of Frahlen's has had any form of force sensitivity, making Sadal's abilities a mystery. Background: Sadal was born on a backwater, sparsely inhabited world. His parents were minor merchants, traveling between the widely dispersed settlements and peddling their wares. Sadal probably would have lived his life without stepping foot offworld and eventually inherited his parents business if fate hadn't intervened. A small party of jedi stopped on the planet to resupply, docking in the town where Sadal's family was currently vending. His force sensitivity was discovered with a chance encounter with the jedi, and they offered to take him to the Praxeum. His parents consented, seeing as he had several younger siblings that could inherit the business in his stead. After a few preparations, the inexperienced youth was wrenched from his familiar surroundings and thrown into the galaxy. Sadal shows promise and great potential in his studies, but for whatever reason has managed to elude becoming and apprentice. He is one of the oldest Padawans at the Praxeum, and he is beginning to worry what will become of him if he doesn't find a master soon. Personality: Thanks to his childhood in isolation on a remote world, Sadal knows very little about the galaxy as a whole. His planet had managed to see virtually no fighting in the myriad of conflicts that had rocked the galaxy since the Battle of Endor, and even during the Yuuzan Vong war it was subject only to a few skirmishes in the system. His schooling was very informal and centered mostly around the anticipation of him becoming a merchant. Needless to say, this knowledge has very little value when perusing the life of a jedi. Since leaving home and joining the Praxeum his lessons have managed to reverse this ignorance somewhat, but he still remains rather naive. The galaxy, in all of its vastness, frankly frightens him a little. However, his insatiable curiosity and drive to excel usually overcomes this fear. He first comes off as rather shy and reserved, but will warm up to anyone willing to show him time and a little patience. |
