So I know we threw the idea of a TWEWY RP around a while ago, back when the game was sort of popular. Before it came out, I'd been looking at reviews for the game since Nintendo Power first covered it, and proceed to get it on release day, and beat the main story the next day, and unlock all the Secret Reports in about a week. Easily scaled the ranks of my favorite game ever, and now resides with Final Fantasy VII and SSBM in the top three. But I was thinking, if we were to make an RP, we'd still use the same Reaper's Game, but have it set in a different location, such as a city in America(I was thinking Chicago, mainly because I was there for all of last weekend, and I'm going back tomorrow morning). With our limited amount of roleplayers on this board, everyone would probably need to make two characters, players or reapers. Then we'd need positions such as the Composer, Conductor, and the Producer. And the Game Master's would naturally change every week (we may make new characters for that position). So, I'd say that everyone would be required at least one player, and then the optional reaper or higher-plane position. Player's profiles would need cause of death, and their entry fee. Since 'A Deathly Mistake' kind of died, there's the possibility of just using those deaths for characters, just altering names and such. Unless, of course, their death deals with plans for plot twists and like. Or their fee was the cliche 'I lost my memory.' And now I'm asking for your input, thoughts, opinions, etc. For/against. Heh, has everyone even played the game? Oh yeah, dibs on the Composer. |

I'm very ok with this idea. I've been wanting to create a character for this and have him do awesome things. And I would be happy to do two or three characters, if necessary. And yes, I've beaten the game, but no, I haven't unlocked all the secret reports. |

The pin usage might be tough to roleplay. Whether we actually use specific pins from the game, or just describe the psychs. Although battle would be fun and interesting to play out. You should definitely try to unlock them all though, you learn so much more about the game. Mainly about Hankeoma though, and his role throughout the story. |

I wasn't intending pin usage. Only Neku seems to use pins. I was intending to have my guy use something else for his psychs. Like how the girl uses her doll, Beat uses his skateboard and Joshua has telekinesis and Jesus mode. And I volunteer for 1st game master. I'll have to do some research on the city in question (I recommend either Chicago, San Fransisco or New York.) but that'll be interesting. |

Oh, the thought of alternate-psychs didn't even occur in my mind. That'd be interesting. Although if you remember, Beat and Rhyme do mention them being able to use a few pins in the beginning of the game when they give you the Healing Can. |

They do, but they never mention using them again. I figure using alternate psychs are the easiest way to coordinate the rp. |

Well, I've never even heard of it; so if I were to join, I would need info. |

First... YES. I have the game and I've beaten it, don't have all the secret reports though. Anyway, it sounds like a good idea. And yea, Pins would be hard to manage. Any idea for a plot? |

AoG, I think talking to Pana about it would be the best option, if not having him lend you the game. And Eeva, the plot is already there, the post-death Reaper's Game. We make the characters and we make the story. |

DS. I can always give you the general summary of it, or at least what you need to know to create a player and play out from there. Or we can always have your character as the player whom lost their memory, and needs to be told everything, like the main character of the game. It'll work, either way. |

I'm sure it will. Honestly, it's one of the most amazing games I have ever played. |

So I had a sudden burst if inspiration to start this up again, and I'm working on it now. I think I'm going to stick with the Chicago setting, I'll create a rough map for you guys. Note the word rough. It'll have some key locations on it, and I'll be sure to fill you in on anything else. Although my one question is, where does everybody stand with this? I know Pana and Eeva have played the game and should be fluent with it. AoG, have you played it yet? And I still don't have a response from Winter. Anyways, I should have the character template up in a while, as well as my first two characters. So... Everyone's input? |
