Name: Anne Gardner Gender: Female Age: 20 Player/Reaper: Player Background: Anne's life is one that at first glance seems to have been idyllic. It appears that way at second glance as well, and continues to do so for all subsequent glances. Her family was wealthy, but not to the point where they weren't still loving, supporting and close-knit. Her childhood was carefree and fondly remembered. Intelligent and social, she excelled in school and was liked and admired by her peers. A charming young woman, romances and flirtations were fulfilling, meaningful, and inexplicably free of heartbreak. When her tenure at a prestigious private school was concluded she was accepted into the art school of her choice, financial troubles unheard of between her parent's money and her scholarships. For Anne, nobody ever got sick, or fought, or struggled to make their way in life. The woes of the world seemed miraculously to pass her by. All this, of course, was before her apartment caught fire and she burned to death. Cause of Death: Attempting to escape the inferno that had engulfed her apartment, Anne was trapped under a falling piece of masonry. When the ash settled, dental records were required to identify the body. Personality: Anne has a deep and abiding love of the visual beauty of the word, and an intense desire to express it. She is one of those interminably optimistic people who seems to be able to find beauty in anything, no matter how mundane or repulsive. An aspiring painter, Anne spent years learning how to help others see the world as she sees it. She favors a style that blends together realistic and impressionistic elements, producing art that depicts her subject matter accurately yet still captures its emotional essence. Anne abhors conflict, but has never been forced to confront it. Struggle and pain are alien to her, and unless that changes quickly the Reaper's Game will chew her up and spit her out. Appearance: Fit and attractive, but not ostentatiously so, Anne has rich brown hair and a heart-warming smile. Her hair, slightly longer than shoulder length, is typically tied back when she is painting, about to paint, or has just finished painting. That is to say, all of the time. Considering her occupation, her clothing choices are generally practical, yet are somehow still flattering. Before her Entry Fee, Anne had a pair of deep, azure eyes that brightened when she laughed. Now she has a pair of gaping, horrific holes in her head. Whatever method the Reaper's Game used to remove her eyes left the rest of her face untouched, but its attractiveness does little to alleviate the disturbing sight of the scarred husks that are her eye sockets. Naturally, this new development has left Anne somewhat distraught. Psyche: Clawing desperately to escape the flames that were closing in around her, Anne's hand grabbed one of her standard round-tip paintbrushes. Now she's started to learn how to use this mildly charred implement to "paint" energy into the world. As she can't see anything she's doing anymore, this can be a rather hit-and-miss procedure. Entry Fee: To enter the Reaper's Game Anne was forced to give up her eyes, and thus her vision. She is completely blind. Edited by Winter is Coming, Nov 22 2011, 10:51 PM.
