Yeah, I think I have too. I remember being really amused by it. What do the stones look like... as in how big are they? Just wondering. Yay for Kraken! |

I'd say about... a Quarter the size of the average fist. they are perfectly sphereical. EDIT: oh, and you can have more than one stone at any given time, if you find one before someone else does, or you steal one. Edited by Naluc, 22 Jul 2008, 04:56 AM.

Sooo, would you object me putting together a little website or something with all the profiles and pictures and all that info (maybe maps?) and god profiles and yada yada? I would update it as the story continues keeping track of everything and summarizing so if new people want to join they'll be updated on the story and stuff? I'm a little over zealous with the stuff, its just an idea. |

for the goddess we could probably use an already made one from one of the older religeons (egyption, roman, greek, norse, etc.) and for the river/ lake beast you could have a hydra, since they are normally not see creatures, if i recall correctly |

*incoherent curses* I believe the healing stone should actually go to the fighter of the group, seeing as they'd have more need for it than a pacifist. Seriously, if you're fighting your ass off to defend your buddies, and get hurt, you'd need one! But, sadly, wouldn't have one because the bloke in the back of the group, crying and praying for it to all end "civilly" would have it. And then where'd you be? Bleeding all over the fucking place! xD Seriously... Give a pacifist a stone and they won't ever use it. Give it to someone who'd do something with it. Also. If you do give it to Griff's character, or anyone else, Ixion will just steal it. xD There's an inevitable cycle here... |

*Falls over laughing* Still, it would be a way to drag the pacifist into things. Although he would likely be thinking those who battled earned it, he wouldn't deny healing rights. He, after all, wishes none to be harmed truly. Besides, Ixion should get a super blasty explodey type of sto... er wait... *laughs* That would be asking for bloody carnage and chaos! *laughs* Then again that would be kinda cool to see... |

So is Necromancy just like... being able to talk to the dead? Or does it involve summoning demons? I kind of got two different meanings from it... |

necromancy is raising the dead normally, but it can be used for talking to the dead as well, but normally those of good are disgusted with it cause it goes against the natural law of things |

Well... then why wouldn't I just raise Rohan from the dead? There's got to be a twist to a reason I can't. It would be kind of neat to have my own like... zombie following... eventually... using the stone. I don't know. Any ideas anyone? |

well, most of those who are evil normally used necromancy to raise an army of the dead to do there bidding, it is really looked down upon cause those who are raised from the dead are not what they once were in life, they are virtually just robots that are in a organic body, lol but you can use your imagination as to how to use it |

Even if you did raise the body, it'd be exactly that; a body. It wouldn't have a personality, a soul, anything that'd define Rohan as he was when he was alive. It'd be his decaying corpse standing before her, vacantly following her orders with a mindless sense of justice. Rohan would have none of the humanity he once held. So, if she did raise him, then wouldn't it be emotionally scarring? Wouldn't seeing Rohan stand before her, a zombie, a living ghost of her past, yet so far gone from her spiritually, that she'd go insane? Or, slowly start dipping into dementia? |

You guys are correct. So no Rohan. Zombie followers? Which would help since my character doesn't have combat skills and relies in others to fight for her? |

Well, it depends on the necromancer. Like, I have two seperate necromancers. The first, Q, deals with bodies. He can kill living flesh to create zombies, animate corpses, heal flesh... those sort of things. Greg on the otehr hand, his power allows him to share his spirit with ghosts and spirits. In this way he can speak with them, and even touch them. But because his power deals with the dead, he is technically a necromancer as well. And wheee, Im all for seeing charries go crazy, I say do it! :3 |

It would motivate her more, make her more evil, since none of our characters are really evil yet... Its a thought. I might have to edit my profile a bit... I like it... |

lol, there is one thing i know of that would probably make her happy to have her beloved back, it would be bringing the spirit back and putting it with in another's body, but you would need a channeler of some sort to do that, so a necromancer would be able to do that kind of thing, but it would probably be at a very HIGH cost. Unless ofcourse you found a kind channeler who took pitty on you. But your character would also have to think what she would be bringing him back to if she did that, and you'd have to find a person, male in your case, willing to die for him to live. edit- but it is up to you as to how you do things Edited by Serania, 22 Jul 2008, 06:35 AM.

Rohan's body is gone anyway, she fled after he died, so reanimating him isn't really a choice afterall. But Serania has a point. |

ive read enough odd books to play around with things, and i love writing, so to make things interesting, if youd like, you could give him another body, and though he is of good, he could be turned to a pacifist and have to slowly relearn what emotions are? |

Character Name: Saeris Age: 20 Gender: Female Faction: Evil Appearance: Personality: Saeris seems much more innocent than her true intentions and uses it to her advantage. She often has to rely on manipulating others into helping her since her battle skills are a bit lacking. She chooses to keep her visions, past and intentions hidden and lies often if she thinks it will get her ahead. She is more of a child than she would ever admit and is often bossy and inpatient. When angry she acts out irrationally. It seems the more she uses the powers the stones give her the more hard it is to control herself or her anger and she can be quite merciless and cruel. She will stop at nothing in her quest and in the end cares for no one and has an icy heart this is often masked by her soft exterior and clever acting skills. Anyone who dies in her path or is hurt for her cause is only a means to an end. Biography: Saeris was abandoned as an infant and left on the steps of a forest temple (serving the good gods) in a small village on the west coast. She was found with one of the stones and always kept it close, not knowing of its power. She was taken in and studied the ways of the temple, but was considered an outsider for the most part. She was plagued with nightmares beginning early in her childhood riddled with dark images, carnage and death. Because of this many in the village and temple considered her strange only adding to the stigma of her not fitting in. She was considered an outcast. She did have one friend, however, a boy in the village named Rohan who she developed an extremely strong bond for and harbored strong feelings for him. One winter night she found him slain and with his dying words he confessed his feelings for her too. She was found holding his lifeless body, covered in his blood. The village believed it was her doing and she fled in fear of being executed. Now completely alone, she ventured into the unknown world before her. She succumbed to the harsh winter and as she lay dying she had one last dream. A demon, and an agent of the dark god came to her. He told her his name was Samael and that he would save her if she joined forces with the evil King. Being raised in a temple of light she denied him. He then told her of the stones being sought and their power and the power contained in her own and told her that with them she could bring back her beloved Rohan. She agreed and awoke, alive and well. Pulling herself out of the snow she questioned her nightmares reality, and if it was real why did the dark god need her? But one thing was clear, she didn't care as long as it meant there was a chance she could bring her love Rohan back from the grave. Her fight for the dark king began and so did her search for the elemental stones of power. She first travelled back to her village, hoping to find the body of Rohan to bring him back somehow with her stone, but found it was too late. In a fit a petulant anger, frustration, sadness and need to revenge on the villagers that had made her an outcast she burned down the village and the temple. She spend some time there practicing her Necromancy on the lifeless bodies before continuing on to search for more stones, while meanwhile her nightmares worsen. Weapons: She carries a pair of katanas, but doesn't use them well. She usually relies on others to fight her battles for her and often surrounds herself with muscles. Stone: The onyx Edited by couchian, 22 Jul 2008, 07:00 AM.

I redid my profile a little bit and reposted it so you don't have to go back to whatever page its on. I made her a little more darker and little less sane. I decided that the more she uses the stone, the more she loses herself and who she was, eventually turning heartless, cruel practically insane. If she ever does find a way to bring him back, she will be so changed he won't know her enough to love her, which will be an interest bridge when we cross it. What do you guys think? Does that make sense? |
