Death sighed, he knew he had to do this, but it was so annoying to go up to the human plane and spend precious time collecting energy, just to kill someone. He was pretty sure it was Saturday, so today she should be home. Anna, he was pretty sure, was the name of this girl. He had enrolled in the same school that she went to yesterday, so he hoped it wouldn't seem completely abnormal to come to her house. This is what he usually did, going to the immortals house right away and trying to get a place to live. It was best to be around the immortal a lot.

He took a deep breath and knocked with a pale fist on the door, running his other hand through his white hair. It would hopefully only be a few months before he had gotten enough energy to kill her, longer if he had to get his own place. He couldn't help feeling disappointed to have to kill such a lovely girl, though, even if it was his duty. He looked up at the sky, it was a crisp, warm autumn day, he loved the dramatic changes in weather here, in the underworld there where seasons, but they didn't change very much in weather, whereas in the human realm in just six months it went from boiling to freezing.

End watched Death approach the immortal's house. If he managed to live there, it would be harder to protect Anna. She started off using the most obvious method, she concentrated and the birds suddenly stopped flying, the clouds drifted no more, the leaves on trees stopped blowing. She had stopped time, but,
Oh, yes, she had completely forgotten about that.
She immediately let time move again, it wouldn't work to run off with the immortal with time stopped and escape Death, because the time stop didn't work on anything from the Underworld. Now that she thought about it, with her tiny stature, she wouldn't be able to carry the frozen Anna away anyway...

Emotion was sitting in the tree behind her house just staring up into the sky as she would normally do when she got bored. "I wish something exciting would happen this place is so boring" Emotion said

Love groaned, she was laying comfortably on someone's rooftop. There was simply nothing to do anymore. After living for so long, you tend to run out of activities to occupy yourself. "Someone amuse me!" She shouted, though only the chatter of birds and the rustling of trees responded. She had heard news of the new immortal and went 'upstairs' to check it out. After all, she was apart of Nightshade, so she ought to aid in the destruction of this immortal. "Ah, how lucky she must feel, having us put her out of her misery. Living all that while can get hard. Watching, watching, watching as everyone you ever knew or cared about like a beautiful rose. But eventually, they will start to wither and lose their gorgeous petals. Then all that's left is a rotting corpse. And then a sense of loneliness will ensue itself in your wretched life." As she spoke, she eyed a human from below and smiled to herself.

"The entertainment has finally arrived." The smile grew wider as she closed one eye and took out her bow. Drawing an arrow, she aimed for the individual and let it cut through the air, striking his heart. Quickly, she took another arrow and struck a nearby robin that was singing in the trees. Love roared with laughter as the human ran towards the robin, showering it with kisses. But her amusement subsided when the effects wore off. Though the expression on the man's face when he realized what he was doing was priceless. She never got tired of acting like Cupid. It helped to pass the time. And then she spotted Death, the only being who could actually kill the immortal. She only helps.

"And what are you doing here on this lovely day?" Love asked as she turned so she was laying on her side, one arm propped up to support her head. "Scouting out the immortal, are you?" Her wide grin still remained, and so did the mischief.

Hikari ran over to Anna's house her short pigtails bouncing against her neck. She and Anna had been best friends since 1st grade... well at least Hikari thought they were best friends, although she usually annoyed the hell out of Anna with her endless talk of manga.
Hikari looked up at the sky... did the clouds stop moving? No, wait, only her imagination. Somehow, she was able to keep her mind moving through the stopping of time... maybe because her mind was so active it was impossible to stop... or maybe she wasn't even human! No, she was human... and maybe she did stop with the time, but she definitely saw the clouds stop for a second. Weird.
She knocked on Anna's door.
"Helloooooooooooooooo! Anna!? I'm here!"
Hikari felt as though she were being watched. She turned around and saw a girl walk by. Hikari was pretty paranoid around people who weren't Anna or her other two friends. She pulled her Urahara cosplay hat down more thinking that it would somehow get people to not look at her, but obviously people were going to stop and look at a girl walking around in a kimono for no reason at all.
Hikari waited longer at the door, boredom hanging in the air. A heavy cloud of boredom! Hikari pulled Fruits Basket #14 out of her bag and started reading it for the millionth time as she waited for her friend to come to the door.
Then she turned to the right and finally noticed the new guy from school was standing there staring at her.
"Eek! Hi! Um, do you know Anna? I mean why are you here!?" Hikari blushed putting her manga in front of her face so he wouldn't notice her blushing.
What an idiot, how did she not notice him, he'd been standing there longer than her! He was really cute too, how could she miss a hot guy like him!? Wah, how awful!

Anna, a 15 year old girl, was in the kitchen of a small little house. She was the average height for a 15 year old though she wasn't anywhere near that old. She wasn't younger but much older.

Miss Hawkins was actually immortal. She had been living for at least 200 years and was attending a school in a small town she had been living in since 1st grade. There she met her best friend, Hikari. She would always talk about mangas and had gotten her interested in a few but they still weren't her style.

She was making some garlic toast and the left over spaghetti from yesterday night. Then she heard a knock on the door and it was then quiet.

She ran to the door and yelled, "Just a minute!"

She started running to the door and then tripped on the end table, knocking over the small jar. Something weird happened there, time seem to pause. Like it needed a break in its ever lasting ticking. The girl was unable to move at this time but she was sure time stopped. But just as soon as it had happened it stopped.

The jar broke and she heard her friend, whom she had invited over, calling to her. She brushed the broken jar aside, stood the table up, and went to the door.

"Oh, hi Hikari! So-" Anna realized there was a boy there. His hair was white, his eyes golden. He was quite appealing though she didn't know his name. She realized that he was the new student in her school, though she couldn't remember his name.

"Hi."

~*~

Beginning looked like she was an overly developed child. Her face was that of a child but her body would make it look as if were more in the age of a teen. When asked what age she was she found it easier to tell them she was a child. People stared at her like she was crazy, that maybe there was something wrong in her brain, but she found herself more like a child than a teen, adult, or any other age.

Now, for a child Beginning would be attractive to a man but that would be because of her body. Her hair is purple as well as her eyes. Her skin was a soft, pale white. It was her face that through people off. She resembled a teenager there but there was something about it that made her look like a helpless child, one who missed their mother and was desperately searching for them.

Beginning was her name yes, but most didn't call her that. She couldn't go around saying to humans that her name was Beginning, that would just look, and sound strange. Her name, in this world, was Elizabeth. A plain name that was once a name given to an immortal girl End, Emotion, and she had tried to save. In the end; Death took her life.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, hidden away in a hovel of a basement, a man sat at his desk and read in silence. The basement was chilling, even in summer, but one could not afford to be picky. Anyway it kept it private, at least.
Shaun Ryan's heavy eyes strained for the absence of light. The desk at which he sat bore the only source of illumination: a dim desklamp and the piercing glare of a laptop screen.
Ryan continued to read the thick, worn book in his hands. He hardly blinked but for the pain that crept into his eyes every so often. The room's only sounds were the soft hum of the laptop and the whispered breaths of the sitting man.
There was a sudden click from the corner, followed by ringing. ...rrrrrrrrrring......rrrrrrrrrring.... Ryan stopped reading and glared coldly at the machine. It's ringing pierced the no longer silent air. He made no sound, but stared for a moment, shook his head, looked down and continued to read, shifting himself to turn away from the phone.
The anwer machine activated. 'There's a beep,' came his own cold voice. A pause. BEEP
A new voice began, a female voice. 'Shaun? It's me...I was just wondering how you were doing. I haven't...

The voice stopped. Ryan's eyes fixed on the page. Maybe she had lost connection. He was motionless as he waited for the machine to click off. There was a long second and then the machine picked up again.

...heard from you in a while. How's your research going?...I love you, Shaun...Bye. The woman's voice was cheery, though a sad undertone could not be ignored. Ryan made no attempt to understand the pause. Maybe his machine was bust. He continued reading.
A few more seconds past; his eyes burned for light. Leaning closer to the laptop, he pushed forwards his chair and sat upright, placing his book upon the desk. Light from the screen crept onto the pages. He raised a thin hand, his fingers shaking slightly and traced over the words.
Turning a page he looked upon a picture. It was worn but he could make out several beings, in a street, some in the background, two in the forefront. The largest figure was the most worn; it resembled a male figure, dressed in old, dark clothing, towering over a man, cowering beneath him.
There was a tag beneath the picture. It was in latin, as far as he could make out. The words were crudely formed. Ryan traced his finger along them once, twice...the third time he stopped. His hand trembled, his eyes grew wider and an anxious sharpness rose in his his breath.
Not allowing his finger to leave the words, he stared up at the computer screen and typed 'Mortis ad Immortalis'.
He waited eagerly. His hand trembling. He had to be sure. The computer flashed as the translation confirmed and the words stood out on the screen.

Death grinned at Love, "Oh, y'know, out to kill some never-dieing." he said casually, he had watched the whole ordeal with the Robin and a grin was still on his face from it. "Playing around with emotions, are you? I wish I could do that, but instead I get to play around with lives, so much less fun" He waited patiently for the door to open, hearing clangs and footsteps inside the building, a girl was walking towards the house, she seemed to stop for a moment and then continue on... then he realized what Love would look like to humans and motioned with his head around the house. "With those arrows you look mighty suspicious" he said to her.

Death smiled as teh door opened "Hi! Umm... you may have seen me before... My name is D-" the pause was momentary, just barely there, he hoped she didn't notice it, "-amien. I'm new here, aaand.. Well, can I come in?" He had never been able to talk to girls his age very well, well, girls who looked his age. With old people he just had to spring a 'homeless child' thing on them and he had a house, but the younger ones where less trusting. Maybe if he slowly started hanging around her more...

He also turned to the girl next to him wearing a hat from... ohh, what was it? Bleach, yes, that was what it's called.. he had heard a bit about it from listening in on the conversations of The Three Truths, End seemed way too with the times for a magical being. She was also wearing a kimono, was that what they wore around here nowadays? He was pretty sure those where from Japan. "Hey, I'm gonna assume your name is Hikari, 'cause my name isn't and there's no one else here to address as 'Hikari'" he held out a hand and smiled kindly. "And I know that you're Anna" he held out the other hand, the fact that it looked really dorky holding out two hands at once to two people rather than waiting to shake the first was what made it funny, and it was always best to appear a funny guy, right?

Hikari shook the new guys hand, blushing. He really was cute, and the way he held out both his hands was really funny. She sort of felt jealous that he was seeing her best friend, but then again Hikari vowed to never get caught up in a guy again because it wastes valuable manga reading time.
"Um! You know my name! That's so cool! Even though we've like never talked, but that's because, I mean, you just moved here and-" Hikari just stopped before she made an even bigger fool of herself. It wasn't every day she spoke to a guy. "Yeah, my name's Hikari..."
She then turned to Anna, smiling brightly as she held up the newest Bleach volume (after she traded it with the Fruits Basket she had previously been reading) that wasn't supposed to come out for another month.
Hikari then realized that Anna probably didn't know the importance of this volume, she probably thought it was just another manga in Hikari's immense manga collection. So she dramaticly lifted it into the air, once again forgetting that the new guy was still standing there, but that was a good thing considering the major embarrassment she'd be going through right now. "I know you think this is just another Bleach volume... but it's not! It is a Bleach volume that isn't supposed to be out for another month!" she said and then hugged the book tightly... then she realized the new guy was still standing there, and she turned, not bright red, but very pale... "Oh yeah... you're still here, I mean obviously... um, do you like manga?" Hikari laughed nervously.

Reluctant was...[/I] she thought to herself. He suddenly asked her if he could come in but Anna was very reluctant. He then held out both his hands for them to shake and she couldn't help but smile at this act. She shook his hand and then looked at Hikari who was showing her the new volume of Bleach.

When her best friend told her that this volume wasn't supposed to be out for another month Anna got excited. "Oh my god! How did you get it?!" Sure she knew nothing about the series (except for the things Hikari told her about) but to get it that early was amazing. Then she realized that Damien was still there.

"Heh...Sorry..." Anna said a bit nervously even though she wasn't exactly sure why she was saying sorry when there was nothing wrong with the excitement.

May you and your child be safe..." a child said in a calm, eerie, voice. The pregnant woman, who was in much pain and screaming, looked at her for a moment. She was being taken away in the hospital room and for a moment, the pain stopped, only to come back as soon as it had ended.

Beginning was in the town hospital, a common location for her. That would have been the 10th look from a woman given to her in that day. She didn't mind the looks, it was common for her.

"My dear, where is your mother?" an old woman came up to her and asked. She looked well in her 50's and Beginning looked into her past in just a split second.

"I don't have one..." she told her and that was the actual truth.
"Oh my...A father?"
Beginning shook her head.
"Well my dear let's go find a nice place to sit while we wait for your guardian, I'm sure they're somewhere close by," Beginning was taken by the hand and taken to a bench.

When she tried to leave the woman told her to stay as she knew it was a dangerous world and the child knew that too. As she had looked into her past she saw many things, in this old woman's past she had been raped before, just around Beginning's appearance age.

She knew she wouldn't be aloud to leave so she had to do something a bit drastic. She touched the woman's wrist for 3 seconds and she fell asleep.

She wasn't dead but she did take off a year or two of her life and made her sleep as in her mind, it was now night and she was only 64.

Ryan sat in silence. He was hardly breathing. His hand had fallen from the pages of his book and now hid away in the clenched embrace of his other. Ryan leaned back on his chair, finally taking his eyes from the screen.
"Death to Immortal..." he whispered. A chill shot down his back and he shuddered. A spark of energy surged in him. He had found it.
The book that lay open before him was not alone on the desk. All about the place, books piled up. Ryan's mother would have called it mess. Then again...she'd understand.
Ryan stood abruptly, knocking over his chair, and began to pace, his hands rolling and fumbling over each other. The worn carpet received no mercy as the man stormed up and down, muttering breathlessly to himself.
"Death to Immortal...death to immortal..."
If one had looked at the many books adorning the floor and furnishings, they would realise that they were all connected. Ryan's historical tomes of mythology and legends had, in recent years, taken a more specific matter of subject. They all spoke of Death.
To some, Death was the cloaked, sythed, skeletal figure - one most would imagine when asked of Death. Looking further back, however, and you find Death has many forms. Sometimes he will have appeared as animals, or anthropomorphic creatures: a black bird, a wolf of two legs, for example. Other recounts tell of a shadow, or an aethereal spectre, again pitch black. All are theories, all are plausible. To Ryan, Death probably could take all those forms, but one in particular had sparked in his mind.
"...death to immortal...death is immortal?...death makes immortals?"
He continued to pace, muttering furiously, his steps growing faster. He turned back to the desk and slammed his hands down beside the book, glaring at the picture again. He studied it closely: the dark figure, human in shape, a man, a young man, his face concealed, his hands turned towards the fallen being. The fallen, fear-stricken, body of a victim, contorted, pleading.
"Death...kills immortals..." he whispered, his face caught between anxiety and joy.

Emotion jumped down from the tree she was sitting in and started walking around. She started to sing to herself it was the only thing that kept her calm and at peace she had no friends and no one ever talked to her she never knew why though. "I just wish someone would come and talk to me so i wouldn't have to feel so alone"

"Ah, the usual." Love responded to Death with a chuckle. "Playing with lives can prove to be very interesting too, you know." The smile on her face now was becoming even more present. Love jumped off from the roof top. Death was right, of course, seeing someone carry around a bow and arrow was common ... during the Edo Period. "I'll find some place to put them." She responded and ran off, hoping that she wasn't seen right when the door opened. Well, if anyone did happen to see her, she wouldn't be turning back now to greet them. Love found a park, not too long from the house. Or at least, it didn't seem far away from her. She didn't know these days, having lived so long after all, the sense of distance and time became disheveled. Spotting the woman's bathroom, she went in.

At least no one will see me here. Love thought as she got ready to transcend down to the underworld. There, she found her usual house. Well, it was more like a shack down in the underworld, but it was her home nonetheless. Gently, she put her bow and arrows down upon the beaten mattress. "You stay put there. Only come to me if I call for you. Do you understand?" Love spoke to the items as if they were alive. Once she seemed satisfied she got ready to go back upstairs. But something tugged at her. Ever since the beginning of the day, she felt someone was prying into their job. Their duty. And that feeling felt more evident. It's like when your worst enemy managed to figure out a secret you've been hiding all your life. Love had a bad feeling about this mission and wondered whether she should get closer to the immortal as well, to increase their chances of ending this life quickly and efficiently. Someone might be trying to interfere with this one.

"I must make haste." Love spoke to herself as she emerged back into the woman's washroom and ran to the house. To her relief, they were still in the doorway. How can I pass this off? She thought to herself. She needed to get close to the humans, and it seemed they enjoyed Death so far. Man, this will suck if it doesn't work out. No one would know, anyways. As she approached the three of them, she opened her mouth to speak.

"Hey, bro." She called out to Death and slung her arm around her shoulders. "Flirting with girls, are you?" Love grinned. It was obvious that her personality stayed the same, despite the situation.

"Teehee," Hikari smiled. Anna was interested! YAY! "Well, I was on this one internet forum and I became really good friends with this guy... well it turned out he was, unfortunately 30, but fortunately he was one of the people in charge of the creation of the english transalated Bleach manga, so he got me one of the first copies before it was put on shelves! Unfortunately it cost me $20, but it's so worth it! I'll probably get all the other issues early now too!" Hikari danced around, then another person walked up to the door.
She turned to the new girl who joined the growing crowd of people that were gathering around Anna's door... well Hikari, Damien, the girl who just arrived and Anna herself... well maybe it wasn't a crowd... well yeah, threes a crowd and now there was four... Well anyway, there was another person here.
"Um, hi! So you're Damien's sister? Cool! What grade are you in?" Then she realized that this girl had just said something about flirting. "Um, is Damien really flirting with us? EEP! Um..." Hikari turned bright red. Wait, maybe he was only flirting with Anna, but still.

Death looked at Love, and his face literally make something along the lines of D8
"Umumum..." he was a bit at a loss for words at this improvisation, and the accusation of flirting, but that was kind of what he was doing. He bent slightly, smiling, so that his face was close to Hikari's, not disturbingly I'm-about-to-kiss-you close, but close enough "Only a bit" he said, standing straight again and nudged love in the gut lightly and said, in what he hoped was a brotherly voice, "You never gave them your name, that's rude, y'know"

And, at that moment, out of the blue, he decided to quit trying to ease his way into Anna's life and instead butt right in. He turned slightly at an angle and nudged past Anna into the house "Nice place y'got" he said, then he found himself a couch to plop on and plopped on it, "Anyway, I'm gonna be staying here for a bit. Oh, Hikari, Hikari IS your name, right? Anyway. Bleach is good, but I prefer to stick to things that don't focus on death and the sort, it seems unrealistic. The best series ever is Ceres" He couldn't help it, he was Death. And he didn't get a freaking awesome... whatever they call those outfits... or a big sword. It was only natural for him to defend himself. "But it's cool that you got it early, even if you had to be a loli for it"

Of course, this was a joke. He was, after all, just a cynical teenager, right? It wouldn't hurt to make a cynical teenager joke once and a while.

Anna turned in her door way and stared at Damien. "Uh..." she wasn't sure what to say at that moment. She glared at him for a moment, insulted that he had just barged in without a word.

Finally it registered in her brain what had happened, "Hey! Who do you think you are that you can just come in here and tell me that, 'You're going to stay here for awhile'?!"

She was obviously angry at him now.

Ryan continued to sit in silence, his head whirling in the moment of realisation. He turned back to the book and read over the pages again. Before, the words had made so little sense: whole sentences were missing or incomplete, leaving the meaning intensely difficult to follow.
It was a translation of an old piece, a letter it seemed, written some time before. Although incomplete, it clearly spoke of beings with life energies far greater than most. It was impossible to tell who had written the piece, but it was evidently written in desperation, a moment of panic: of fear. The letter spoke of these longevitous beings being hunted. The word deceit recurred throughout and a chilling description of this 'hunter' lay within.
"A dark man, almost human, but shadowed by figures of darkness. He brings death to those who would live on. He would bring himself to them."
Beyond this, it trailed into begs of assistance, odd sentences about escaping and a few more references to this longevitous being and, most importantly, its being hunted. The picture that had sparked Ryan's realisation stood out on the page. The cowering man was one of these beings, these immortals. The figure above him, dark and menacing...this was Death, or so Ryan believed.
Peering closer, Ryan made out details of the figures in the background. They were spectators, possibly just humans, but they were oddly shadowed.
This was it, what he had been searching for. For over a year he had scoured countless books and searched ravenously on the internet, desperate to rediscover the old tale he had once passed over so trivially. It was hard, there were so many references to seeing Death, experiences and theories, images and possibilities, but only one had fit his rememberance. It was a tale of a man who had witnessed Death at work. Death as a 'hunter' of the living. It was this tale that laid in scraps of translated fear-stricken phrasing on the page before him.
Ryan knew that it could be, like many others, a work of fiction, a tale spun from madness over truth, but it was this recount alone, uniquely, that placed Death in a physical form. A being that walked on Earth and did not fester in the netherrealms or other distant plains. It was in this recount alone that gave Ryan a chance.
It had to be true, it just had to be.

Love smirked. Who would have known Death was such an actor. This was proving to be quite amusing. Though again, she felt a pang in her. Like someone had just intruded more into their lives. But Love just shrugged it off and turned to face the girl named Hikari. So Death told them his name was Damien. Quickly, she had to think. It would be wise to put herself close to the age of these two.

"I'm in the 10th grade." Love put on a warm smile towards the girl. "But I don't really like going to school. Too much work." She allowed herself to let out a chuckle.

When Death gave her a nudge and spoke to her, she couldn't help but let her smile expand. This was all too much fun for her. "Whoops? I didn't? Sorry." Love turned to the two girls and spit out a name she always wanted if she was human. "Lucy. My name is Lucy." After her introduction, she watched as Death waltzed into Anna's house, much to her displeasure, and Love's smile turned into a mischievous smirk. That was a smooth move, Death. She thought to herself as she stayed in the doorway. Though she couldn't help but wonder what Death's alibi to stay here in the house would be. Did their parents recently die in a tragic car accident, leaving them with no home or relatives to go to?

Or perhaps they were always orphans, looking for a place to stay off the streets? Maybe their parents abused them, so they ran away? Obviously Anna would question as to why he had to stay. Hold on a moment. If I'm his sister, doesn't that mean I need a place to sleep too? Love pondered for a second.

Death smiled at Anna, slightly sadly.
"Well, you seemed nice, but I suppose you can't give a room to a new kid with no where to stay, no money, and no parents." Everything he said was true, of course, The gods didn't exactly have parents, he had no place to stay, and he was flat-out broke. "I suppose I could try someone else... maybe they'll be nicer and let me into their houses. A quiet old lady wouldn't be as much fun to live with, but she'd probably let me in..." Haha, guilt. It almost always worked eventually. "Four months tops, okay? In that time I'll probably get enough saved up to get a small apartment" Translation: It'll only take me four months tops to use you to charge up energy, and then kill you. He hoped he'd be able to soften Anna up...

End frowned, nothing she could do on her own at this point, she darted away think of someone she had been observing for quite some time. She ran very slightly faster than most humans ran. She saw Emotion wandering about and motioned for her to follow, she then located Beginning near a hospital and passed by her, turning and hopping on one foot casually "Hey there, wanna go check up on him?" she had been holding out for a while, but being the childish girl she was, she was also extremely impatient and couldn't wait any longer. It had been long enough, he had to have figured it out by now, right? "It won't take too long, I'm sure" she stopped the flow of time with that, leaving everything still, and continued to sprint across the city, reaching the dwelling place of the man she had been observing, who seemed to be researching the very thing they where against, and who might make a very useful ally.

She reached the house of Shaun Ryan just as the time stop was letting out, to him it would seem as though End had appeared in the door only seconds after he last moved.

She stepped in, giving her best, most evil yet childish look she had. Clearly, from the look still on his face from the freeze, he had finally discovered it.

"Hello" End walked up behind the laptop, so that a shadow from a stack of books hid her face slightly, "My name is Elissa. Or End, in private" she gave both her 'human' name and her god name, knowing that it would be best if he knew both. She looked at one book, running her fingers over the title, "Death is horrible, isn't he? Killing the people who where born to live forever. It wasn't meant to be. I know him personally, and I must say, he isn't the most considerate of gods" she smiled, "Would you help out? There's a new immortal in town. He's at her house right now. I don't know what you can do, but we need all the help we can get to stop him from killing the girl" She looked him in the eyes, shifting slightly so that her face could be seen completely. It gave a very dramatic effect, she thought, with the jade in her lip ring casting a bright green sparkle and her large red eyes reflecting the light from the computer.

Ryan could barely breath with the sudden shift in action. He had been resting, the weight of his discovery still playing on his mind, when - as if in an instant - a figure strode into his room, this bright, but menacing smile on her face.
He hadn't time to speak, or to take in her appearance, nor to move an inch entirely before she began to speak. He listened to the girl introduce herself, Elissa and End? The two names confused him, but she carried on, swiftly.
"...we need all the help we can get to stop him from killing the girl," Elissa concluded. The girl moved her face out of the shadows, to Ryan's surprise, revealing the face of a child, but it was the eyes, deep-reds, that told of age. He stared into them, frozen for a moment, trying to piece together the information that had just thrown itself at him.
"Erm...I did unfreeze time?" Elissa called towards the doorway.
She got her answer when Ryan shifted in his chair and spoke. His voice was stern, but light with a faint touch of youth. "Who are you?" The question came as almost a whisper.
"Elissa, I told you! Jeez, I hope I don't have to repeat myself every time I speak."
Ryan reflected on his poor choice of question. "So, if I may try and understand..."he began. End nodded, her gaze still fixed him. "You know him? The immortals, they are real. There's one right now. And you want me to help you?"
"That's the jist of it, thanks for understanding, now come on we have to go!"
Before he could respond, Ryan was grabbed by the forearm and pulled from his chair. The girl's strength was shocking when considering her slight frame and childish features. Ryan grabbed up his satchel as he was pulled off towards the door, he snatched a book from a nearby pile and stuffed it in. End continued to urge him on, but he pulled back. Turning, he stepped off, returning swiftly with a light brown jacket and wearing a wide-brimmed brown hat. It made his face look stronger, concealing his thin features.
Turning back to End by the doorway, he spoke again. "One more thing."
"What?!" End replied impatiently.
"Who was it you were speaking to through here?"

So this Damien guy was going to be living in Anna's house! What!? Wait, that made no sense, he just moved here, wait don't you need a guardian to get into school? I mean don't they need to talk with the school people before you can become a student? Hikari's head spun... then again, she didn't truely understand the school system.
Hikari repeated what she thought to Damien. He was obviously lieing. No matter how hot he was, Hikari was NOT going to let it get to her! "Plus, how did you have money to move here!? And why do you have such normal clothes? And how do you know about manga when you have no money?" Hikari smiled. Damien was going to have to tell the truth! He sure got himself stuck!
Then she turned to Lucy. "Your his sister, so you know that he's lieing right!? What is going on here!?"
Hikari was going to get some answers, even if it scared Damien away. She didn't want some lieing guy to get close to her best friend!

"To answer you questions, in order, of course, if you have the right resources you can get anywhere with only a few bucks," geez, maybe that sounded too prostitute-y... he thought after saying that "It's a sad stereotype that homeless people have crappy clothes, and a friend of mine is into manga" This 'friend' being End and her too-much-with-the-times-ness.
He skipped over the question about the guardian, he'd think of something for the next time she asked, for now he was gonna pretend he forgot.

He looked at her, a hurt expression on his face "Why can't you people trust a homeless guy with, embarrassing as it is, absolutely no housework skills or money?"

Hikari decided to give it up. This was the first time she ever had a conversation that lasted more than a minute with a guy, she didn't want to ruin it any further.
She sighed and skipped over to Anna, "So, do you know what going on at all, because I sure don't!"
Well, this wasn't going anywhere, might as well zone out for awhile until something exciting happened, like that would ever happen in this town, but Damien was interesting enough. Hikari pulled out her Bleach manga and started reading it again and she propped herself up against one of the living room walls.

Raizen came into the outskirts of a town. "Finally! Civilization!" He walked through the streets looking at the new town. He was covered in dirt and twigs and what not and he wore a backpack that seemed to cling and jingle with all sorts of different items. As he walked the streets pedestrians stared at his vagabondish look. He didn't care he was used to it.
He eventually made his way to a park in which he found a nice tree to climb up. The leaves had changed into beautiful colors and the breeze felt good to him. He slowly began dozing off in his tree.
