"People! People! Please settle down!" The chief of the small village called out, rallying the people whom had come from far away to take their journey, people were being sent in select groups because a large rush would cause too much fuss and the fact that people could take the journey any time they wished meant there wasn’t too many people to go anyway.

Lazel from Aquesia was sat with his back against a tree, it was a pain really because that was where his rune had been placed and it caused him pain to press against it, even after four months. He seemed relaxed though, sitting cross-legged and comfortable. He was one of the next to go on the Pilgrimage and was listening patiently to the chiefs words.

"Now, first of all, in the name of the villagers let me welcome you all to the Village of the Azure forest. last night when you arrived I saw many distinctively different people and I want you all to be aware that we welcome your presence here for wanting to take the Pilgrimage and be one with the flow. We hope that last nights feast was to your liking and that you rested well for today you take your journey down that path to the east, between the mountains and through many trials. May The Flow bless you with luck, a swift journey and a safe passage there and back. The eight who will be going this morning may begin now as soon as they please." The chief stepped down from his pedestal, shaking the hands of a few of the new hopefuls, wishing them their ‘good lucks’ and smiling calmly. He was a sweet old man, not too into the religion but still faithful, guys like him were hard to come by. Oh well.

Lazel opened his eyes, looking at his right hand where a gold ring shimmered, he wondered how his apparent wife was doing, and part of him was curious to hear what her thoughts on him were, even though she voiced her opinion loudly he wondered if she really did hate him all that much. No matter, it was for Aquesia, and all he desired was a little peace. The book in his lap was closed as he stood, looking to the east where a path had been worn through the forest, wide and pleasant looking.
May the flow wish me luck in finding a way to make this marriage work he smiled lazily at the thought. A flashing image jarring his mind a moment, how would they make heirs if she hated him? What a drag, this would be difficult indeed.

Audra leaned against a rock people watching. The crowd of people was pretty small for the pilgrimage, though she couldn't be for sure this was her first time. Even though it she was dressed in her white traveling clothing and it was early in the day she was already beginning to feel warm, the heat of the day coming on quickly. She sighed and adjusted the staff strapped to her back, it was going to be a big annoyance to her this trip she could already tell.

Aliela Sovereign, or rather, Aliela Cross was seated on a cool rock beside a tiny pond. She was already in a foul mood due to her very recent wedding, and the weather and attention and rumors did nothing to improve her feelings. Even the small patch of shade did little for her. This was such a drag. Her eighteenth birthday was only a few months away. She would have finally come of age and father sends her away right before that! Was his plan to make all - or rather, just both - of his daughters' lives miserable? Leela frowned and tried to take it back. He never tried to make Guenevre's live miserable. Gwen had always been a good girl, strong, beautiful, and tough. She practically had guys lining up for betrothal, but dad was just so opposed to her marrying before she came of age. What made him change his mind? Leela sighed and looked down on her wedding band. It was beautiful, of course, but that didn't mean anything. She scowled and threw a small rock into the water, trying to remember to add a spin to it. The flat rock bounced to the middle of the tiny body of water, leaving rippling circles in its wake. Leela wanted so badly to jump into the cool water, but the sound of the meeting began to recede, and he would be getting back soon. She didn't bother going, it only took one set of ears to listen to some priest or who ever it was rambling about the journey. The young girl's mind wandered back to her new... husband.

Lazel Cross. He seemed to be raised in a high standing family. Leela hadn't bothered to talk to him much, but she'd gathered enough to make a probable first impression. Lazel was quite popular. She'd even heard bits and pieces of the Cross men while she was living at home. Her new... husband was obviously a peace keeper. He didn't seem to be tough or skilled in fighting, but the numerous Runes in his skin made her think otherwise. She couldn't judge someone based on appearance. She herself was a slim, almost frail looking girl, often described as delicate. Those assumptions usually vanished when she opened her mouth. Leela ran a hand through silvery white hair. Her parents and the twins all had black hair, and even Gwen and Artemis, the "prodigious" son only had blue. When she was born, they thought she'd be special. Yeah, if being different from your family and almost everyone in your clan was special. It was unfair. She twisted the ring around on her finger so the diamond wouldn't shine, all she could see was a golden band. There were so many girls in her clan who were older, more dignified and polite. Why her? Just because of her family's social standing? She'd broken it at birth, anyway with her "rebellious" attitude. You'd think they would have liked to have females hunt and track and fight, but no, that just wasn't the case.

She sighed and put her face in her hands, staring into the pond as the last ripples faded away. It all happened so quickly. First, she gets in trouble for sneaking out to hunt, then her father announces she's engaged to a man she has never even seen in her life. Then she leaves everything she ever knew behind and was forced this journey to some light. Aliela huffed. The weather was too hot here, and she could barely wear any of her favorite clothes because they were layered. She's never felt so... exposed. At the moment she was wearing a tight fitting top that wrapped around her torso, although exposing her midrift, and then wrapped around her thighs, stopping at her knees at its longest point. There was a large slit in the side where her under shorts would show up. Life had always been strange, but she'd been used to it. This was all too different. To make things worse, her father wanted grandchildren. Grandchildren! If his other kids weren't so helpful or prodigious, then he'd probably have some by now. She didn't even like Lazel. He was quite handsome, yes, but physical attraction was only a small perk. Aliela groaned and leaned back on the large rock, staring up at the sky through the branches. Of all people, why her? What made her so special, after all?

Lazel spotted the woman whom had been appointed as his wife. In regards to his own lineage, even as a member of the ebony clan, he was taught to respect women. The boss of the house was his mother, after all, and in some ways the younger teens attitude reminded him of her, almost. He walked in her direction silently. How he wore much thicker clothes was unsure, but perhaps his history of traveling with his father attested to such. They'd visited their home country specifically for the materials and new methods with which they could graft runes.

His ability to withstand the various climates came from his traveling, so he was fairly comfortable in a climate such as the one in the center of the four nations. Once standing not too far from Aliela he bowed politely,
"I am sorry to disturb you. We will be going shortly. I was wondering if you'd eaten well for the first leg of the pilgrimage today." Lazel questioned. He had shown concern on numerous occasions, having sometimes also enforced it was his duty as a husband to take care of her. He wasn't molly-coddling her though, either, simply expressing concerns.

Lazel took a moment to make sure his book was settling into place, then feeling around for the strange orb he carried with him. It fitted just in his palm, so such a small thing was precious and he didn't want to loose it. It had been in his family since his grandparents were accepted into the northern nation along with other older family members,
"I'll wait for you, if you like."

She felt nervous. Fen couldn't remember ever feeling more nervous than this moment. All these people she never met before - how should she act? What did they expect from her? Though she also felt a little thrill, somewhere deep inside her. They'd leave soon. She decided to check out her companions first, it wouldn't take long and it'd give her the oppurtunity to decide on her way of acting. After all, she did go on this trip to find self-control, and what better way to start with it than on the journey itself? Having made that decision, the tension slowly drifted from her body and she was able to look more relaxed and at ease. It came to the point where she actually started to hum a little song as she walked into the crowd, smiling.
Briefly, Fen thought about her parents and the other people at the village she'd left behind. She didn't miss them - well, not yet. Maybe that would come. It wasn't something to worry about anyway. She touched her crossbow, almost as if to check whether it was still there, or for reassurement. What could possibly go wrong on this trip, she thought cheerfully. So many people had made the pilgrimage before her, and except from that first time, nothing important did depend on it.

Aliela's eyes didn't open until Lazel finished speaking. Her eyebrow twitched a bit, though. How come she didn't hear him coming? She mentally scolded herself. All this worrying and deep thinking was going to get to her soon, she really didn't need to be making it a habit. After all, her newfound husband seemed to be a good thinker, he could make the decisions. If he were anything like most of the men in her clan, he wouldn't even ask her opinion, just like her father forcing this stupid marriage on her. Then again, there was always a first for...

"I'll wait for you, if you like."

Leela lifted her legs up, her knees towards her chest and jumped from the rock, landing in a perfect standing position. There was annoyance written clearly on her face as she turned to face her new husband. Why did men always assume she was slow or needed guidance? One of the stupid reasons father wouldn't let her hunt. Gwen hunted, but Leela wasn't special like Gwen. If this boy was going to be in her life for any amount of time, he was going to learn that she was a hell of a lot different than most girls.

"I'm fine, thanks," Leela snapped, feeling a bit sorry afterward. It seemed like almost everything she said came out more harsh than she meant for it to be lately, since Father sent her off. She sighed and her tone softened the tiniest bit. "No, I'm ready to go. I already had all my things packed and..." she trailed off. To be honest, she never unpacked from her first trip here. All she really did was relocate her most needed possessions to a smaller, easier to carry bag. It meant leaving most of her beautiful clothing behind, but she'd find a way to manage somehow.

"We can just leave whenever," she said instead, not meeting Lazel's gaze. There was something in his eyes she didn't like. It was like... he was looking through her soul, seeing her for the horribly selfish person she was, her hate that this task had fallen on her and father's stupid arrangement. He didn't seem at all bad, but she couldn't force herself to accept him yet. Silently, she grabbed her trusty little dagger (a parting gift from Artemis) and wrapped the leather strap around her thigh, making sure it was hidden mostly by her skirt. Aliela knew she was pretty, why not taunt her husband a bit to show him what he couldn't have?

Lazel almost flinched at the harshness, but he understod. What the'd done to her was unfair, they'd done the same to him, but he had never really considered women. Having a wife provided was unexpected but nonetheless saved the initial hassle of finding a bride. It was really just a case of getting on good terms with his wife now, it seemed difficult but then again, he looked at this pilgrimage and remembered that on this same path the first pilgrims along the road spent a difficult journey together and the final convocation brought them together, four nations as allies.

This was comparable in that perhaps their journey together would be what they needed, they'd reach the end together and perhaps understand one another better. At least this was what he hoped. Sure there was also the two tribes to think about but if he and Aliela couldn't get along then the Ebony and Ivory clans may end up at odds once again. It was a strange concept, being married to what was once considered the enemy, but he desired no conflict, Aliela was not his enemy.

The tan-skinned male nodded politely to her, motioning an arm to the path leading east. He'd walk nearby, but let her have her space. He still had more to think about, however. For his clan choosing him alone was odd. There were a few decent young men chosen as candidates, him being put up for candidacy was strange in itself. He didn't complain, but when they chose him he was, again, surprised. Luckily for him the bride they chose was not an eyesore, though she appeared to have the temperament of a sand dragon.

Lazel brought up his book silently, flipping through the pages and finding the chapter he was last on. The text was foreign, Zepherfolan in origin, but he'd been taught the ancient language, the book in itself was a very interesting read, at least to him.

Audra pushed a strand of hair out of her face and began searching out a good shady place to hide from the growing heat, she was starting to feel the effects of the heat and feeling like a weakling for letting something as mundane as the weather affect her...oh if her father or brother saw her now, her face reddened at the thought. As she looked around she thought she spotted a familar face. "Could it really...?" As she aproached she was pleasantly surprised to see the heat hadn't gotten to her, and it was indeed Lazel standing before her. "So it was true, they really did send you off to do this."

Aliela followed by Lazel. They were a good space apart, she could probably spread her arms out without touching him. They'd talked, of course, but since the stupid wedding they hadn't made any physical contact. He was a quick learner. It only took one bout of yelling for him to realize it wasn't wise to wake her, and even more wise to just try to avoid her as much as possible. She did the same for him, fair trade, right? Father said she couldn't hurt her husband... but then again, all he really said was "try not to kill him"... Her rude thoughts were pushed out of her head as a girl stepped in front of the couple. Or rather, in front of Lazel. She didn't seem to pay any attention to her.

"So it was true, they really did send you off to do this." Of course! Who hadn't heard of the great Lazel Cross getting sent on this mission? Apparently, though, the wedding was a more secretive thing. She found her eyes narrowing at the girl. Though "girl" didn't describe her properly, she was nicely toned and looked well older than Leela did. Aquesian, as well, though she couldn't recall ever seeing her. Upon seeing her eyes, though, Aliela frowned. Crap, she was blind? Or like, half blind? And she was sitting there making judgments... Still, she could see a bit and were the matching rings too small to be viewed?

"Who are you?" Aliela frowned, unconsciously taking a step closer towards Lazel. There was clear interest on the girl's face. Or something close to it. Not that Aliela cared, but she wanted to get out of this hot region as fast as possible and there couldn't be anything or anyone slowing them down.

Nikira hadn't bothered to sit down, she would just have to get back up anyway. Her unusual dark blue eyes flicked across the few faces that she was apparently going to be travelling with, her bow forever clutched in her hand. Many people had scoffed at her when she had stated her urge to go on the Pilgrimage, and now she could see why; many of her "peers" seemed less... conflicted than she was. She let out a deep breath from her nose and tightened her grip on the bow, she would not worry. She would keep to herself and venture to the Flow as swiftly as she could. She could only pray for some decent guidance once she got there.

The chief finished his speech and made his way over to her, her eyebrow rose as she saw his humble, smiling face and an elderly hand outstretched. For an awkward moment she tried to decide whether or not to shake hands, but swapped her bow to the other hand and gripped the hand offered to her. She couldn't manage a smile though, she was never going to be that good an actress. As he moved on she rubbed her palm against her armour, seemingly rubbing away the sensation another person's skin had made. And after a while she realised that that was the case and stopped rubbing, it made her look like she had a nervous twitch. And she was not the nervous kind.

Another breath fell from her nose as people started gathering themselves in preparation for the journey, she would not need to linger. She hooked her bag more firmly over her shoulder, checked her weaponary, and cast one last look over at the others before starting her walk down the path that had been mentioned earlier. She would hope to get a good few miles away before dark, then she would camp and wake when the sun rose. She'd make good time by herself.

Humming a little song, Fen set off too, curiously looking at the faces all around her. Ah, this was going to be quite the trip, she thought contently. She pulled the waistcoat of her sturdy travellingclothes down a bit, squared her shoulders and focussed on the road before her. Idly she wondered what kind of game there'd be to hunt. She would like to hunt... would the others hunt, too?
It was kind of windy, she noticed, grabbed her hair and starting braiding it while on the move. When she was done and had tied a ribbon around the end, she flung it backwards over her shoulder, not realizing she could very well hit someone in the face with it. That had happened a few times when she went to visit a different village, where people hadn't yet learned to stay out of the way when Fen was braiding her hair.

It was at this point that a shadowy figure appeared before the group, raising a hand to stop Nikira in her tracks. The group wasn't meant to separate, no-one was meant to get ahead on their own, and now their own Guardian was her, he would be guiding them to the Flow,
"Patience, please. Not everyone has gathered." He stated calmly from the shadows of his hood, lips remaining in something of a pleasant smile.

Lazel looked over to see the Guardian appear. they finally had a guide to lead them forward, but then his attention was first grabbed by Audra, almost jumping with shock,
"Audra?" But before he could ask anything else, his wife stepped closer, questioning the nature of the female that had approached, "Oh right sorry. I guess she wasn't at the wedding. Aliela, this is Audra Gailynn, one of my families assigned guards. She's been a friend of mine since we were young." He explained politely, then looking at Audra again, "Audra this is my wife. Aliela."

This was actually something of an odd situation, if he didn't know any better, Aliela was getting jealous, which, in itself, was strange, but he also didn't want any trouble between the two of them. He was glad to have some-one familiar to him along for the journey though.
"Yes, I've been sent along with Aliela, now is as good a time as any." He stated, adjusting his sleeves and once again checking that his book was secure,
"It looks like our Guardian is here. We should go to him now and wait for everyone to be ready."

Audra turned her attention for a moment from Lazel to his bride. She looked Aliela over, the only emotion in her face coming from her cocked brow. The girl was quite pretty; though her attitude was quickly becoming a turn-off...what was it with girls anyway? She turned back to Lazel as introductions were made and nodded politely. "She's quite small..." Audra mumbled; She wasn't very good around new people, years of training to protect only those who were clan and view others as potential threats was something that would take a long time to overcome. Realizing, a little posthumously how rude she sounded she attempted to be a little more cordial. "So...um...Congratulations on your marriage."

The girl scanned her and said something. Aliela was pretty sure she caught something that sounded like 'small'. Sure, she was tiny, it was a fact, but she was a hell of a lot better hunter than most boys she knew.

"Hmmm," Aliela mused, realizing it was only polite small talk. Not something she was fond of. "Sure," Leela said, giving a quick smile for the hell of it. She could have introduced herself, but if Lazel hadn't done it for her, then it never would have happened at all. Leela rotated her ring, almost forgetting that she'd turned the diamond towards her palm from earlier. Her blue eyes wandered towards the smiling guardian. She was silently fascinated. Aliela had heard stories, of course, but never actually seen anything like it. There were books, yeah, but she wasn't much of a reader.

Patience, alright, sure. She could do that. Leela turned, walking away from the two "friends." Screw that. If there were any guys out there that liked girls who could hunt then she'd probably have an old flame, too. It was only her lack of travel that held her back. Because father was always too busy doing something, Artemis had his magic, blah blah blah. Mom never traveled, but if Gwen were still alive... She forced the thoughts of her late sister out of her head. Gwen wouldn't have wanted her to mope around. She would have loved to do this, but she couldn't, so Aliela had to do it for her.

A small part of her wished there was some familiar face for her. Lazel she'd only known for a small amount of time. Not even a few weeks, yet, and he was too soft to be any fun. She couldn't do anything anymore, though, thanks to this stupid betrothal. Maybe she'd make a good hunting partner out of someone. Preferably a male who wasn't like Lazel. She'd have to see his face for who knows how long, so it'd be good to have a change of scenery. She was secretly jealous of Lazel and Audra. Maybe they'd had a fling, but they had friendship, too. Aliela sadly wished that she was more friendly when she was a child, but things just didn't work that way. She was always the lone wolf. Speaking of wolf... There was a snowy white animal racing towards the group at full speed.

"Amby?" Aliela smiled as he circled her once and sniffed her new clothes. She bent down to his level and began to scratch his ear. "I know, I think they're funny too but it's all I've got," she mumbled to him as he tried to rip part of her skirt. He was shedding horribly, but didn't seem to mind it. The poor boy. Amby began to trot around in circles, sensing the fact that it wasn't time to leave yet. His eyes looked towards the village as he howled, as if saying goodbye to it. Amby had a girlfriend back in Aquesia, though the owners weren't particularly fond of Leela. Even her wolf had someone close to him. She sighed and stood up, frowning. Was there anyone besides that stupid Lazel waiting out there for her?

Catching movement to her side she brought her hand up to feel the feathery end of one of her arrows before she had even realised it wasn't someone who meant harm. It took her a moment to stop herself from drawing the bow out and slide it in to place but she managed, and her hand fell to her side lazily. His smile was not returned, but a frown was offered instead. Taking in a deep breath through her nose she let it out again slowly, her hand tight around her bow. She always wondered if she would ever break the poor thing from all the tension her hand put it under, but it had yet to fail her. Her patience was thin as it was, and waiting for the others to start their move was tedious. She wanted to get going before the light faded, because the night was always more dangerous. Although she did appreciate the entertainment.

Her mind wondered to things like food and water. Water she could draw from the vegetation and any lakes that coursed through the land, and hopefully the game was plentiful in this area. She didn't know, it was her first time away from her home lands. Although she didn't really mind. It seemed a lot more peaceful here than her home land, which was always in danger of the surrounding volcanoe's. She realised suddenly that she slightly missed her home, and the gently grumbles of the volcanoe's nearby. But she did not miss it enough, and as she looked over her shoulder she frowned at the rest of the group.

Fen watched with a bland look as the guardian appeared, looking for the world as if she wasn't curious at all. Of course, she was curious, but there wasn't any use in showing it, was there? With the same blank, politely indifferent expression, she cast a glance at her travelcompanions. Some seemed to know eachother. That would make it a bit easier, she guessed. People who don't know eachother at all tend to ignore eachother completely - for the first part of the journey, anyway.
Maybe she should try to get to know the others a bit better? Maybe a good idea,... maybe not. Fen brushed her hair back and quickened her pace just a little bit, until she was right next to the lady who was of her own race. 'It's a lovely day, isn't it?' she smiled. The weather was always a good topic to start with, especially if your companion was frowning impatiently. Fen put her most unoffending look on.

Soft rumbles echoed about as the final member of the group made his appearance. He was a giant of a man compared to the rest, and he knew it, but he didn't care. He made his way through the crowd - more along the lines of them making way for him, perhaps out of fear of being flattened - as his high gaze scanned the crowd. It will be the first time in a long while he'll have seen another member of his group that he wasn't protecting from every little thing.

That's when he saw it. A guardian. It was the first time he'd seen one, but his face hadn't the reaction for it. He was amazed in his mind, but his face continued to show a cold apathy. He continued towards the group, each step enough to make ripples, however small, in water around him. Yeah, he was a big guy.

"Kaiden sorry. Held up. Lost time." He was far from the most articulate speaker, but he had little use for words. Most of the things and people he dealt with only made one thing clear: either 'I want to kill you' or 'I want to eat you'. Besides, he usually let his titanic fists do the talking for him.

With a flick of her eyes she acknowledged the woman who was now at her side, talking. She gave a small nod, unable to look interested in the topic of choice. Although she would have to mentally agree, the weather was lovely. Her eyes glanced behind her shoulder as the earth tremored gently, her frown deepening as she saw the wall of a man walk towards their fleeting group. A sigh escaped her and she looked at their guardian impatiently. "When are we to leave?" Was the first, and probably last, thing she'd said all day. Her voice was surprising for her lithe form, unusually blue eyes, and dark nearly crimson hair. It was smooth, husky, what one would probably call a "bedroom voice". Although she wasn't entirely sure what that meant, having never experienced even a decent conversation with another person.

Tal could feel it the small breeze tugging firmly on her braid, but lost deep in a book sellers cart she paid it little heed as she sorted through the bins of books that had caught her eye. Just as she was about to grab her prize, a thin volume in her native language, the breeze, as if annoyed by her ignoring it, let drift to her ears,

"Patience, please. Not everyone has gathered.".

The slight phase jolted her out of her hunt as the whole reason she was so far from her home came back to her. Pulling the book out of the bin she gave only a glance to the price before tossing the coins to the keeper of the stall and stuffing the book in to her bag before turning back to the gathering place.

Delighted with it success, the breeze tumbled about her urging her on ward darting off only to gather another snippet of the groups conversation.

"When are we to leave?"

Filtered about her ears as the breeze fluttered back to her and Tal gave a glance to the sky her face paling as she finally gave note to the time. Breaking in to a dead run she let the breeze tug her in the right direction hoping she hadn't missed the rest of the eight she was to be traveling with.

Half stumbling she reached the group, her lungs burning with the oxygen rich air that clung to her every breath. Then instead of the formal apology she meant to make came a series of cough as she tried to shake the moist air out of her throat. That only sent her doubling over grasping her sides as she tried to regain her breath.

Apparently, the lady wasn't much of a talker. Fen noted she had a low, pleasant voice when she did so, though. Almost innoticably, she lifted her shoulders and stepped a few steps back, gently enough to not make it attract attention. She glanced upwards as the tallest man she'd ever seen appeared. This time, she couldn't keep her face straight and just..stared in surprise and curiosity.
Good grief, she breathed almost reverently. However, Fen had no time to take in all of his features, as suddenly another lady appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, gasping for breath. Without thinking, she walked up to the young woman and gently patted her on the back, unclipping her waterbottle and handing it to her in case she was too out of breath to get her own.

"One, two, three.." The hooded man pointed at three of the group, mouthing the last ones but stopped short at seven, "I believe there is one missing..." He noted, holding a hand up as a list on a parchment appeared in it with a small flash of light, while the other hand softly rubbed at his chin, "... Jericho Zolaunt, I believe? One of the acting representatives of Volferisia?" The man looked about, trying to find the stated man, he could see all the others, stopping a moment to look at the giant of a man. They didn't build Zepherfolans like that anymore, very impressive indeed.

Lazel approached the hooded man, though the mention of a missing representative also sparked his curiosity as he, too, began looking around for the rogue man of Volferisia. They couldn't go until everyone was there, everyone should know that, he didn't beckon his wife or Audra over, it was pointless until everyone was ready to go. In truth he was getting just a tad impatient, he wanted to see the wonders of the upcoming journey.

There were quite a few interesting people here, including the giant southern man. Lazel felt very small physically, compared to that one, eventually going to stand before him and look up, offering a hand as sign of friendship to his fellow countryman,
"I am Lazel. Might I ask your name, honorable brother of the desert?"

A sigh escaped her as another woman joined them, gasping for breath as though she were running from a lion. If she had been in a better mood she might have smiled at the thought, but as it was she was growing increasingly impatient. Her index finger tapped the handle of her bow idly, in time to the bird songs and wind. Her crimson hair whipped up in the air as it randomly grew, a small frown forming in between her eyes as she smoothed it down again behind her. There was nothing vain about the Nikira, and she was not like the normal women who wore perfumed liquid or makeup to make themselves more appealing. She was who she was, pale skinned, vivid haired and strange eyed.

The Great Immortal.
Kaidel looked down at the group arrayed before him. It was quite a unique bunch, filled with all manner of different people. Of course, he wasn't one to talk, being the oddest member of the group by far. He continued to watch blankly as yet another person appeared, gasping for breath like she had seen death, pissed herself and ran like mad. He wasn't the last like he thought, it seemed.

Suddenly, the small hand of the leader of Ebony was extended towards him in kindness, the man it was attached to offering greetings and friendship. He was a fellow Zepherfolan, and that brought Kaidel a measure of peace. He extended his hand out to grab his, making sure not to grip fully for fear of hurting him.

"Me, Kaidel. Kaidel know you. Lazel, leader of black."

He held the male's hand for a few moments, shaking as gently as possible before releasing him from his grasp. He dropped his hand to his side and continued to survey the group and the area. Yet as he remained still - his head about the only thing moving - a few small birds landed softly, perching on his shoulders. Despite his behemoth size, he was well in-tune with nature, it seemed. Birds landing on his massive shoulders was nothing new to him.

Audra looked around at the group assembled. It seemed a rather balanced group to her, the people seemed interesting enough...especially the giant Lazel was speaking to. I didn't know people got that large anymore... she thought to herself. Her thoughts were rattled at the appearance of a young woman, whose heavy breathing and stifled coughing suggested to Audra a sense of hurriedness. "She must have been late." she said to no one in particular.

She looked back over to Aliela; things had most certainly gotten off on the wrong foot, though Audra suspected there would have been little she could have done to prevent it. Either way, she'd have to attempt to get to know the young woman; personal morals and duty demanded it. With a soft sigh Audra walked over to Aliela. "So..." There wasn't much to say, and internally Audra was balking. "It's...hot yes?"

((Sorry I couldn't respond sooner, had to work all day))

Oh how could he be late? Jericho tried to finish with his daily chores as fast as he could. He knew he had to rush as fast as he could to arrive at the village. He was upon a steed, making it run as fast as it could go. The horse was sweating and even he seemed to be perspiring a little from the sheer stress of being late. Oh he was about to be hounded, he was sure of it! They were all going to fuss at him for being late, for keeping them all waiting. Some representative he was becoming already. He was not even full Volferisian!

What was this trip about anyways? He had long since forgotten, he was just focused on getting there. He had thrown all of his supplies into a bag before he had leaped onto the mount and made it go thundering off to the grounds where he was to meet the others. He could see them ahead as he approached. The horse was probably being heard by them about now. Swiftly the platinum blonde man pulled his horse up to a stop once he had approached the crowd,
"Sorry I am late, I got here as fast as I could."

He looked almost like any Volferisian, almost, it was quite easy to tell he was not full-blood. His skin was a little darker than a normal Volferisian's skin, but other than his skin, he looked like any other from his nation. His green eyes looked about to the others there, hopefully they would not be too hard on him for his late arrival. What was this all about? In all of his rush and fuss, he had completely forgotten. Someone care to fill him in? As he looked around, he saw someone familiar among the crowd. He could not draw a name with her face just yet. Still, he was not going to worry about it just yet.
