She continued to suprise him. This girl was truely something else, he had met women like her, yet all of them wished to see him captured and executed. He was saddened that he could not truely give her his full attention at the moment. For part of him was listening to her, grasping every word, while the other part was listening for guards, or patrolmen, whom would recognize him immediately and blow his cover.

"Yes I understand. What he does is wrong, and thusly deserves whatever fate he gets, but at the same time it would be sad to lose such a brave soul. I am sure that had he been born into a different life, he would have possibly made a fine knight of the royal family. If he succeeds though, it may be his claim to infamy for quite some time."

Delia nodded and groaned herself. "Um, sister, you do realize one of those baboons punched my ankle, right?" she spoke quietly, pushing herself up into a standing position. Her short white hair blew in the breeze, and she felt herself rising into the air. Her eyes changed from a red to a piercing blue, and her hair grew out, turning a gray-blue in color. The biggest change was her wings however. They changed from fluffy white angel wings, to black, devil-like wings. She grew fangs and she was lowered back onto the ground.

"Wh-what happened?!" she cried out, shocked at her change.

Ella listened, though kept her attention focused elsewhere on the darkened street. Being alone with a man this long was...unnerving.

Being the most frail princess, her father kept her far away from such compromising situations, spoiling her in a way by refraining from any enforcement of courtship between her and a foreign prince or nobleborn man. Was it mercy, or something more? No matter the cause, the fact remained that while Eleanor was unaccustomed to interaction with others, it was even more so when the situation involved a man. The situation truly was compromising, and improper. Whether she was spoiled and kept away from others or not, she had heard her sisters' tutors and others within the castle speak of propriety and modesty enough to know that she was treading on dangerous grounds. And without Emma and Delia there to support her, she wasn't entirely certain how long she would last.

"I-I suppose...we shall have to see what comes of this," she stammered, responding to his previous words while seeking her own for an escape.

Shifting her weight slowly against the support of her cane, the young woman could feel her limbs aching. They still were not entirely made for standing this long, for going on such a dark and dangerous walk through the city streets. Everything seemed such closer within the castle walls, while out here, the streets seemed to stretch on forever.

Her hand rose to hold strands of her hair back as a chilled breeze swept past her, her green eyes shifting momentarily to the starry sky above. Seeing such a vision from the streets was somehow different than watching them from her lonely balcony at the castle.

"Perhaps it is time I return home..." she said softly. "Maybe it was wrong of me to come out tonight. 'Tis not something I normally do alone... My sisters will be fine, though, I'm sure of it. They have always come home just fine, especially without me following them, slowing them down."

Ella started to take a few careful steps on the cobbled street to move past Vincent, back in the direction she came after sending a momentary glance back to the direction that fountain may have been in, where Emma may have been sitting, alone in her thoughts. When her rounded green eyes shifted up to Vincent, she smiled gently.

"It was a pleasure meeting with you, Vincent," she said softly. "I am certain I shall never forget this night." She paused a moment, glancing away slightly as her expression became somewhat embarassed. "And... Thank you, for defending me earlier. I truly do hope that you were not hurt during the encounter."

"Now now, I am sure they do not think you slow them down."
She seemed to have little confidence in herself to him. Something he might be able to help her find.

As she stepped to move on he made no motion to stop her, it was not his place to do so.

"And I shall not forget this night either. It was a pleasure speaking with you Miss Ella." He gave her another gentle smile, one that he could only show to a young lady such as herself. "You need not to worry about me, I could not have forgiven myself if i had not helped you. Please return home safely."

Jio stood there watching the princess walk away. "She seems to attract trouble to herself." He paused for a moment. "I should probably watch after her." He walked in the direction she had left in. "I will probably reach the castle gates without seeing her. At least I hope so." Jio let out a long sigh. He walked a little bit when he heard a commotion. He turned to see what it was and saw a woman with large black wings. He had never seen anything like those. He saw angel wings before but not those. He also noticed the men attacking Emma. "I figured as much." He ran over to help the two, if they needed it.

Princess Delia stared at herself for a moment until she sensed the leader running at her. With a swift flick of her wings she had flown into the air, amazed at the power of her wings. she still had her bow in her hand and she watched an arrow materialize. She grabbed it and and loaded the bow.

She was aiming the bow when she felt a piercing pain in her left wing. An arrow had been shot into her wing and she went hurtling towards the ground. As Delia hurtled downwards, and arrow cut her cheek and blood trickled down. She swore and landed on the leader, him getting thrown to the ground as Delia landed on him.

"Hnnn... Ouch..." she murmured, rubbing her butt tenderly.

The young woman smiled back at him. "Farewell, then," were the last soft words spoken by her, before she slowly turned and walked away into the night, the sounds of her slow and careful footsteps fading to silence as more distance was taken in stride.

The princess made her way down the street quietly, a ghost of a smile on her face as her skin seemed to momentarily ignore the chill of the wind against her cheeks. Tonight had marked her first real encounter with anyone outside of the castle walls. He was no servant, no silent and dutiful guard with their "Yes, ma'ams" and "No, ma'ams", but a genuine person who spoke to her freely and without obligation. Was this a part of that freedom her sisters had always sought? Eleanor had never understood it entirely before this moment, but how liberating it was to speak to someone and have them speak back, casually and informal, as title was not a necessary barrier.

Vincent had never asked about her upbringing, so perhaps she had been successful in hiding it from him! Her heart swelled with an uncharacteric measure of pride. If she was truly so convincing, then maybe her sisters would have been proud of her as well.

Now, now, little Eleanor, she suddenly recalled the voice of her mother from a distant memory. A lady never lies. She must always be responsible and honest, for no one appreciates dishonesty.

She had been only eight years old at that time, sneaking out of her bedchambers to find her sisters and run about the halls with them, play in the gardens like a normal child. When caught by her caretaker and questioned by her mother and father, the young girl could only conjure up a simple lie.

"I was...thirsty..." she had said, feigning a need for water and seeking it herself.

Naturally, such a lie was not believed, as her gown was spotted with dirt and her long hair had been swept into disarray by the motions of enthusiastic playtime. The palms of her hands had also been filthy. It was after being cleaned up that her mother had returned to her to tuck her into her bed, as her father had ruled that she be confined to it for the remainder of the day, steadfast in his decision to spare her weakened body from another fit of illness that came often with her outside exploits.

"But, mother!" a young Gabrielle Eleanor had said in protest. "I wish to play just like Emma and Delia. They get to be with other children during the day, but I cannot."

"Hush now, Eleanor," her mother cooed gently. Her mother had always been a beautiful woman, even as she climbed in age. Ella always figured that Emma took after their mother, however, as she bore a look closer to their golden-haired father. Perhaps that was why Emma was claimed to be the most beautiful of the three sisters... "I know it must be hard, as you are lonely. But your father is careful with you, perhaps moreso than your sisters. He fears you cannot take as much as Emma and Delia, and seeks only to protect you from losing that becoming innocence you have."

"B-But...mother...!" the child protested.

The older woman simply raised one hand to silence the child, whose large green eyes were glistening with tears. As typical of Eleanor, child and young adult, she broke down into a fit of sobs, inevitably tiring out her weakened body and falling to sleep in her mother's arms.

As the blonde princess walked carefully down the street, she recalled those memories, how such events caused her to come to terms easier with her father's wishes. He had done it to protect her, she was told. It was out of love that he sheltered her and locked her away. Was it because of his love that she felt partially horrible for slipping out at night like her sisters? Betraying a father's trust when he only wanted what was best for her... Well, she supposed that if she did get intro trouble over her absence, her father would never raise a hand to her, fearful of breaking her delicate body.

But one thing the young woman never truly considered... Was her father truly so kind...?

Ignoring the possibility of such negative truths hidden away from her, Ella continued her slow trek home, that faint smile on her lips as she recalled her first real conversation with...anyone.

With any luck, she wouldn't get into too much trouble when she returned home.

As Jio was heading towards the battle he noticed the woman in the air fall to the ground. "I better hurry." He sped up and leaped into the air and brought the sickle on the man carrying the bow that had shot the woman down. The sickle buried deep into the man's should gushing blood out everywhere. "That's one down." He said leaping backwards to take on one of the ones surrounding Emma.

(That's ok right? I figured he didn't really matter since he was an extra so I took him down in in shot.)

((It's fine. The guy was just an extra))

Delia stood, hardly feeling the pain coming from her ankle. All she felt was the pain searing through her wings. She growled and glared down at the leader who was now getting up. "Stupid bitch!" he growled and leaped at Delia who, amazed that she did, dodged with an incredible speed. She groaned after a minute, feeling a blood lust working its way up her throat.

When Ella was clear from sight, Vincent climbed back up onto the rooftop where he had stashed his weapons, he hadn't need his tiger claws after all.
He reached through the cut in his shirt and pulled out an envelope and examined it, there were no cuts or signs of bending or wrinkling...which was good. He like to present his "Trademark" in pristine condition, for to do so otherwise was unacceptable.

He picked up the sword and sheathe and buckled it around his waist again and threw the crossbow over his shoulder, held there by its strap.

He looked off in the distance towards the castle, he figured he should deliver the letter now before the young lady returned there, if she was indeed who he thought she was.

He ran from rooftop to rooftop in a direction perpendicular to the direction Ella was moving in for a time and then turned and moved in the same direction towards the castle.

He let his wings grow out, black as night itself. He jumped a few feet off of the one of the rooves he had been running on and took high to the sky.

Anyone could see him from the distance he reached, anywhere in the city.

At first his plan was to really steal a treasure from the King...but now his plans had changed slightly.

Jio stood there noticing that the only other one left is the leader. He somewhat wanted to see what the girl could do. He stood there and let the girl have her fight. Jio would never let her get harmed by the man. If he noticed that there was nothing she could do he would intervene in the blink of an eye and take the man out.

((Well that's good. I have to go again. My schedule sucks.))

"Dear, I do believe this is the last time we will be venturing out of home for some time. Father will have me locked in for a week or more after this.." Emma says taking out one of the men. "Healer Davion will have to look at it when we get home." She says before hearing the chiming of the town bell. midnight. "Damn it!" She shouts at this and takes a swing at another man, killing him with a blow to the throat with her dagger.

Their father might shelter Elanor but he imprisoned Amelia whenever he found a reason. Emily was a prisoner of the king and queen, come the crowning it would be even more so. "Not that I will be able to leave again anyways..." Emma says, her voice cold.

Delia glared at the leader and lunged at him. As she did, her crown fell out of her pocket and time seemed to slow then. She saw it and ducked to get it, barely missing a punch at her head. She pocketed it quickly, but feared she was too late and that Jio had already seen her crown. She stood and summoned her staff, which looked different in this state. She had just grasped it when she was punched in the stomach. She coughed up blood and groaned, her staff clattering to the ground as she dropped to her knees.

Distant bells marking the late hour rung out in the night, echoing against the vast blue-black sky dotted with sparkling stars. The lone young woman attempted to quicken her pace as she moved along, getting closer to the castle on the only path she was currently aware of, the one that bore little opportunity to get too lost.

Guards lined the walls surrounding the castle at certain intervals, mainly staying near any gateways people on food might appear at for entry. Places that Ella would have been smart to avoid. Instead, she carefully made her way down a small path, typically unoccupied, to slip through a side gate that servants often used to go home for the night, unless they resided within the castle, as some chose to do. The narrow gate squeaked as she opened it slowly, momentarily freezing as her green eyes darted around to make sure no one was nearby to hear. Seeing no one, the young woman slipped inside the boundaries of the castle, pulling the length of her gown out of the way as she closed the gate.

It was quiet out here, the castle itself massive as it towered nearby beyond a stretch of green gardens and stone fountains. For being a servant's access to and from the place of their employ, it certainly had a nice view. As her eyes searched for a moment, Eleanor thought she saw something against the darkened sky, though perhaps it had been her imagination, a random twinkling of the stars in a single area. Besides, she could not dwell on it long, as in the distance across the stretch of gardens and pathways, she saw a small collective of guards making their rounds.

As quickly as she could, the princess dashed along the walkway, trying to make her steps as soundless as possible so as not to be heard. Her long locks of hair flowed behind her like silken gold as her skirts whispered with each step. She winced the first time her cane tapped against the stone below just a bit too loudly. Reaching an outer hallway, lined with columns and archways giving a consistent view outside, Ella slipped into the first series of corridors to enter the castle, but as she rounded a corner to go deeper within, she came face to face with one of her father's advisors.

Clad in gaudy robes of vermillion and royal blue, trimmed in gold and woven with gems, the older man, gray and balding, looked at the short princess through his small, rounded spectacles, the lenses catching the firelight from a nearby touch almost ominously.

Ella paused, heart in her throat, as she simply stood before him, her body ridgid and her green eyes wide.

"Your Highness..." the old man said with a rather hollow voice. "What a coincidence meeting you here. And dressed for an outing, no less. Would your father, the King, be aware of this?"

The young woman stammered. "U-Umm... W-Well... That is..."

He sighed and nodded. "'Tis as I thought. Come now. I would be a fool to let this be."

Gesturing for her to begin walking, the older man lightly placed his hand upon the young woman's back to guide her further down the hall, no doubt to see her father. Clutching her cane in her hand, Eleanor could only hope he would not be too furious.

Emma destroys the last of them and turns to her sister. "That's it. We go now." She says before heading away from the city and to the alley she'd enter the city though. She was done with this for tonight. She looks at her ripped dress and sighs. Oh well, this was usual. The worse that could happen would be that she'd be sentenced to her room for a month. She had no intention of leaving the castle anymore so it didn't matter.

She walks towards the castle and pass the guards who follow her immedatly, bickering with each other all the while. "Be quiet! The only one at fault is me! Now be quiet!" She says rounding on her guards for the first time ever before talking towards the castle.

She grabs her skirts and hurries along the halls and into the castle towards the stairs hoping not to get caught. No such luck. "Amelia! Come here this instant!" Her father's voice says to her. Ah she could hear her door locking in her mind already. She walks slowly towards him and he stares at her for a long time. "You won't be doing that again will you, Amelia?!" He says, his face red. "I won't be leaving the castle ever again, father." She says in a even monotone voice.

Vincent had flown up to one of the windows of the throne room. He hung from the edge of the window and popped his head up enough to get a good look inside, it didn't seem like anyone was in there. Not even the king. This was good, he wanted to go unnoticed, the guards down below hadn't even notice his approach. Of course he hadn't announced himself yet, nor even made it aware that he was in the area, so it was only natural that they were not looking to the skies for him.
He reached into another pocket and pulled out a tool he used for locks. He slipped it into the crack of the window and fiddled with it until the latches of the window came free. Silently he opened one of the windows and slipped in, his wings tucked closely to his body so he wouldn't knock anything over.
He landed on the floor with a light tup of his shoes. He quickly moved to a column in the throne room and took another look around for confirmation means. No, no one, not a soul in the room.

He walked up to the kings throne and pulled out the letter. He laid it on the seat and spread his left wing out and pulled out a two feathers. He laid the two black feathers in a V shape on the envelope. This was his "Trademark" announcement of his intentions. The king, and anyone else who saw it, would know immediately who left the note and what it would say on the inside. There would be no proper opening such as Dear _____ or To the reader of this letter, it would jump straight to the details, telling him when he would strike and what he would take...except this time...he chose to be more vague.

"If you are reading this letter, then you have no doubt discerned who wrote it. I shall get to the point, at the stroke of midnight on the morrow, I shall come to steal the thing you hold most dear to you. Being of your status, you no doubt hold many treasures that you must look after, so I therefore suggest you place guards at every doorway, every entrance, any place you have something that I could benefit from. Not to do so would be a grave error on your part my dear King. If you value these treasures, then protect them like you would protect your country, or else you shall seal my place as the greatest thief that ever lived.

So with that I bid you farewell and hope you do not dissappoint me. For what fun would stealing from you be, if you did not try to stop me?

Sincerely,

The Black Winged Thief
"

This is what the letter read.

He hurried back to the window as he heard footsteps in the hallway outside of the throneroom. He silently ran for the window, wings tucked back, and jumped out leaving the window open, another part of his "trademark".

As he fell he opened his wings and took off towards his hideout so that he could rest, and prepare for the next night.

On her slow walk through the castle walls, her body now free of the burden of the heavy cloak on her shoulders and fully revealing her faded royal purple gown, Ella did neither sigh nor falter in step, even as her body ached from the stress of so much movement that night. She would sleep soundly tonight, that much was certain.

At the top of a stairway leading to a wide hall inevitably leading to her father's throne room, the young woman heard a series of shouting. Her father's angry voice, raised loudly like a quaking roar, was unmistakable. When she reached the top, following the well-dressed advisor, she saw the sight of her father speaking rather angrilly to her wayward sister. Almost immediately, Eleanor's face lit up, a wide smile on her face.

"Emma!" she said cheerfully, rushing to her sister's side and hugging her as tightly as her weak arms could manage despite the heavy tension in the air.

Their father, a tall man of regal stature, and a short mane of golden locks of hair streaking with aging gray and matching well-groomed beard, towered over the two young women with a clenched jaw, though his eyes showed a measure of surprise when Eleanor appeared before him.

"Eleanor..." he said quietly, his surprise evident in his voice. "What are you doing awake at this hour...?"

"I caught her sneaking back into the castle, Your Majesty. Dressed for an outing and in quite a rush," answered the advisor with a simple bow. "It would appear the young lady had snuck out for the evening as well like her sisters."

Ella pulled away from her sister slowly, looking at her father with apprehensive doe eyes.

The king paused as his gaze shifted between his daughters. "I would have expected this from Amelia and Cordelia, but not you, Eleanor." As he began to say more to his daughters, he stopped himself, as though in the attempt to choose his next words carefully. "All of you, come with me. We'll discuss this elsewhere."

Following the king to the throne room, the massive double doors were swung open, revealing the marble floors, carpeted down the center with red, leading up to the throne used by the king and his queen. Off to the right side of the massive room were a series of openings between massive columns leading out to a wide balcony. During nights of entertaining guests, many would stand out there sipping their glasses of fine wine, gossiping about the high life and politics... Nothing that Ella had ever participated heavily in.

As the walked further into the room, their father stopped halfway and turned to his daughters once more.

"All of you, my daughters, were born into a life of privilege and responsibility. Despite the fact that none of you could want for anything, this does not give you leave to flee the safety of this castle in the middle of the night!" His booming voice echoed slightly off of the high vaulted walls. "There are rules and expectations for each of you, and you cannot do things so recklessly without considering the consequences."

Elenor's eyes glazed over slightly with tears, her father's angry and harsh voice bringing her close to tears. She had always been the quickest one to cry of the sisters. When her father's gaze reached her, his expression was not as kind as she had expected, it did not fit her mental image of a kindhearted father who always smiled loving at her.

"Elenor, leave us for a time. I'll have words with you after."

Ella spared a glance to those within the room and parted her lips to speak up in protest. "But...father, I--"

"That is enough, Eleanor!" he shouted, causing the young woman to step back slightly, eyes wide and glossy. His expression did not falter, still as firm as ever. "Return to your chambers this instant."

Biting her lip as her eyes burned, Ella turned and fled from the throne room.

Emma stares at her father, her face blank. She wasn't going to respond to him, she still hated him for what happened to David. For him putting David to death.

"Emma, You cannot do this anymore! You are the crowned princess come tomorrow night!" He shouts at her and she breaks. "I won't! I stay at the castle like the stupid princess I am! A pawn! I am nothing more then a royal pawn! You'll marry me off to the first prince you can, but not my sisters. No they will marry princes who will care for them!" Emma shouts, her voice sound strained with unshed tears.

"Amelia! What has come over you?!" The king says, surprised by the outrage she was showing. "You had the man I loved killed! How should I act?!" Emma shouts, tears spilling down her face.

"That was two years ago! He was just a commoner! You would never have married him because of his class!" Her father shouts back at her. "I loved him papa!" She says, sobbing now. Emma only cried in front of two people, her father and Gab one of the royal healers.

"Amelia, you are to be locked in your room after tomorrow night. That is my final decision. Emma I know it is hard, but you will have find love within the noble class or the royal class. I am sorry dear." He says to her.

"I hate you! You are an unfair father. I know I would never have married him, but to kill him? No you had no reason to go that far papa!" She shouts and without a moment hesitation bolts from the room, silent tears falling from her eyes. "Emma!" He shouts after her but she doesn't turn around, she runs out of the throne room and pass her sister and guards. She heads towards the east tower, her tower. She doesn't stop once she is in her chambers. She runs to her bedroom and flings herself on her bed. She hears her door close. Her guard had followed.

(Hmm, I seem to be on at different times as everyone else. Which really sucks.)

Jio sat down nearby after the battle because the two hurried towards the castle. He wasn't quite sure who the other girl was, but he assumed she was also a princess since she also left in that direction. Sadly he was right about Emma attracting lots of trouble. He wanted to go see her but wasn't quite sure how. He could sneak into the castle, but the halls would be too heavily guarded, at least he assumed so. He could always search every window for her room. That would be the best idea. Jio headed off towards the castle and entered at it's darkest part. He has no idea what window to start at though. "Wait a minute, I have no way to scale this wall." Realizing he said that out loud he hid quickly waiting for a guard to pass by if someone heard him. "I will have to sneak through the castle posing as a guard," he thought to himself. He paused for a moment. "I will have to steal a guards clothes." He purposefully said this out loud to attract a guards attention. When a guard headed towards him he hid silently to catch him off guard. The guard passed by, unsurprisingly alone, and Jio knocked him out cold. Jio got dressed immediately. "That guards going to be out until morning. Hopefully I will be gone by then." He headed back towards the entrance.

(Can I have some sort of sort of layout? It would kind of help. If not I will wing it.)

Time had passed, long after her sister had recieved her speech, long after the King had discovered that accursed note laying upon the seat of his grandiose chair in the throneroom. His booming voice had rung out in all of the halls, alerting the guards for the obvious intrusion during which the letter had been delivered. By his command, the castle grounds would be searched extensively for the remainder of the night, just in case the intruder were still inside. Better to investigate than let it be.

Oblivious to the happenings within the castle elsewhere, Eleanor had dressed herself for sleep long ago, now garbed in a plain white gown, made of a light and flowing material akin to something like cheesecloth. The gown was long and fell to the princess' slender ankles, fitting just slightly to each subtle curve, but loose enough to leave certain things to the imagination. The sleeves were long and flowing, bell-shaped and ending off at her knuckles, while the collar was wide and rounded, almost off the shoulder. There were no designs or stitchings to speak of on this gown, for afterall, what would need to be seen during the night when one slept?

Sitting up in her bed, the young woman stared at the closed balcony doors in longing. She had stood out upon the rounded balcony when she returned to her room, but when her maid servant arrived to prepare her for bed, she quickly ushered the princess back inside, saying the fresh air was "bad for her health". There must have been some truth to it, for the princess was somewhat feverish that night. The curtains were pulled closed over the glass doors leading outside, leaving the large room in complete darkness, save for the minute glow of candlelight, the source being a long candlestick on a night stand nearby, her cane settled against it should she have any need to get up in the middle of the night.

Seated in the massive bed, dressed with thick cream-colored sheets and large pillows, the frail princess often felt that she could get lost within it. But there was no time to consider such things, as she was soon visited by her father, who quietly sat upon her bed to speak with her.

"You know I am disappointed with you, Eleanor."

"I know... I'm so sorry, father. But I just wanted to be with my sisters! I didn't want them to leave me behind..."

The older man sighed. "I'd rather you not follow their footsteps. Those two selfishly run off at night, disregarding their status, how important they are to these lands. They would instantly cast aside it all, just for a simple jaunt in thief-ridden streets. Do you wish to be like that, Ella? An irresponsible, and selfish child?"

Her green eyes widened at the words, and she shook her head quickly. "Of course not, father!" she exclaimed. "I just want to make you proud!"

The king's lips twisted into a smile, hidden in shadow so his child would not see. "That's a good girl. At least you know your place. You would do anything for your family, wouldn't you, Eleanor." His words were more of a statement than a question, offering the girl little room to argue, not that she would.

"Aye," she replied softly. "I want to do what I can as well for the people I love."

"True, true... Though you lack Amelia's grace, Cordelia's energy... There are still things that only you can do, my little Eleanor." The king stood and turned away slightly, folding his hands behind his back. "I have been thinking lately, that I have sheltered you perhaps longer than I should have," he continued solemnly. "A young woman your age... You are well past your time for a proper engagement."

Ella's head tilted just slightly as she regarded her father in silent confusion.

"I have been entering casual negotiations with King Darin, the ruler of a land quite far from our borders. In the near future, you may become the bride of Killian, one of his sons. Such a union would be beneficial to our family, Eleanor. Your sisters have also been considered to marriage into their family, but with their blatant disregard for responsibility, such a union on their part may inevitably devestate all that is at stake. Would you, my most innocent daughter, be willing to marry for this old man's sake?"

Ella's green eyes glazed over with tears at the sound of her father's voice, his heartfelt confession to her of his plans, his hopes for the future. "If it would help everyone, father, then of course I would. But... I have heard that the sons of King Darin are...cruel and wicked bragarts, just as their own father is supposed to be."

"Utter nonsense!" the king exclaimed, each word forming a grand lie. "His son Killian is the most noble of the three. Ambitious, perhaps, but he takes care of what is his, and when you become his, you shall be well cared for." The tall man smiled inwardly, knowing that the naivety of his third daughter, her flaw to believe his any word, would work to his complete advantage. Should Amelia keep up her childish antics, then Eleanor would solidify the union between kingdoms.

The years had worked well, shaping this child into a most useful pawn. One who ate up the sight of his smiles to her like candy, soaked in his every word as an ultimate truth. Sheltering her and keeping her weakened, drilling it into her head that she had a useless body and was otherwise useless until father said otherwise... Such things were finally coming to fruition. He gently placed his large hand upon the top of her head.

"You are a good daughter, Eleanor. You will always make your father proud."

Ella smiled, happy tears trailing from her eyes as one slender hand rose to gently grasp that of her father's. When her father left her chambers that night, Ella fell into a deep sleep happily, that smile remaining on her face until morning.

((What a poor, naive sap this girl is. lol Anyways, I'll probably post again once the day switches over, unless she's disturbed by anyone during the night.))

(Wtf? Delia never left, she's still squatting at the battle ground because she had her stomach punched same with her ankle. And her ankle got broken.)

Delia noticed everyone leaving her and she coughed up a bit more blood. She muttered under her breath and tried to stand up, but couldn't. She had begun to change back into her normal angel princess form, and her ankle was searing with pain. She bit back tears and sat down quickly. She did her best to concentrate and she sent a message over to Emma.

Emma! I'm still in town! You left me alone...

The message slowly faded from her mind, hopefully to reappear in her sisters mind. She couldn't take the pain anymore and she let the tears flow from her eyes. Footsteps sounded near Delia, and she looked up to see a broad shouldered man standing there, staring down at her with cold eyes. She felt something being held against her mouth, and she pulled away. "Help!" she screamed before the same thing was at her mouth again. She was knocked out cold after that.

Jio was standing at the gate wondering what to do next. He had no idea where to start. "Hey you!" One of the other guards shouted at him. "What are you doing just standing there? You know we are supposed to be searching the castle for anyone suspicious."

"Oh yeah. Sorry, I zoned out for a moment. I will get on it right away." Jio saluted the guard, hoping it was what they did, as he walked away to continue the search. This is the perfect chance for me to find her. All I need to do is look into every room until I find hers. He dashed off into a direction and started searching browsing very quickly into every door he came to. Some doors being ones he probably shouldn't open normally. Oh my god. How many doors are there? Jio continued searching every door.

(No one here. Sadly this is my last post until sometime after 3:00 PM EST.)

Vincent had flown off after delivering the letter, but had turned back around shortly after. He wanted to get a good look of the layout of the castle grounds and get a look into the castle through any windows he could.

As he returned he remained high above the castle towers looking down soaking in the layout. He lowered slowly getting a feel for any postions where guards and archers would be placed.

Shortly after, he heard the kings yell of rage. "Hehe, the King must have found my letter. I may want to stick to the shadows from here on out while I take a look around." He pulled a half-facemask out of a pocket and put it on, he always wore this when out as Black Wing.

He weaved in and out of the lower towers. He rose back up and saw a young woman standing on one of the balconies. It was Miss Ella, wearing a very becoming nightgown. He stayed a little high, out of her eyesight.

She was called back in by one of her maid servants. When the doors closed he flew down lower and rested himself on the part of the doorway that protruded from the tower wall, and stood there.

When the king came in and talked with her, he listened in on every detail he could hear. Shaking his head at the graniose lies that he spouted from his mouth about the prince he told her of, the way he manipulated her as if she was a puppet and he was the puppet master.

"Hehehe. This should be fun, not only do I hope to throw a knife in his plans, but I might get to spread a little chaos. That's what this King needs, a little chaos to wake him up from his perfect little world, make him realize even his plans don't take into account, certain elements." He said very lowly to himself. He couldn't help but grin. He was right, Miss Ella was who he thought she was, but that did not change things, he was still intrigued by her all the same. Something about her when he met her, it just pulled him in, it was a force he could not escape.

He stood there on his protrusion contemplating what to do, whether to fly off into the night, or to confront the princess as Black Wing. This situation was delicate, needed finesse, if he decided to confront her, even with the truths he had told her before, he could not be certain she would not call for a guard or worse, her father.

He gave a heavy sigh. He pulled out a coin from his shirt pocket, luckily he had sewn the cut shut on his way back, it had gotten a little drafty while flying. He amazed himself at all the things he had learned as a thief, just out of nessecity.

Unfortunately as he flipped the coin he missed catching it and it fell to the balcony floor, bounced and tapped the window. "Crap, I hope she doesn't notice that."

((I will use gold text for his kind hearted voice. The purple text is his deeper, more masculine voice that he uses when he travels as Black Wing.))

A weary body ached with pleasure as it relaxed into the massive four-poster bed, draped with white fabric tied off onto each polished wooden pole against each corner, only to be let loose and display a thin canopy of sorts to cover all sides of the bed itself. Such a thing was merely for decoration, however, though in times of illness, the slender woman laying in the bed recalled that those sheets were kept down, restricting her view of all but a world of white during the day, and a darkened space with dancing shadows cast from candlelight in the evening.

Eleanor's eyes had fluttered shut long ago to begin her rest, her limbs sighing in relief over the new opportunity to relax and to regain the little amount of strength that she had through sleep. Laying on her side, she had curled up to fall into a deep slumber...

Or attempted to.

Her room was so deathly quiet, the only sounds to often reach her ears being the sounds of her quiet breathing, the screeching howl of the wind blowing against the balcony doors, the occassional footsteps of armored guards making their rounds through the hall... But tonight, she heard a faint, but otherwise odd sound outside on her balcony. A strange tapping of the glass set into the door, followed by a small chime. Couldn't have been a bird flying into the doors, for it was night. A bat, perhaps? But what would explain that chiming sound?

Sitting up in her bed, Ella gently rubbed her eyes before looking through the surrounding darkness to the balcony doors. With no moon out in the sky tonight, there was no light attempting to filter in through the closed curtains, giving no further proof that anything was moving outside. Were it a winged animal having accidentally flown into the doors, she was sure she might have heard it fluttering about, but there was nothing. Her room was high up from the ground so far below, so what else could have been there?

Slowly, Ella pulled the blankets aside, feeling her body almost ache with a new sort of disappointment that its time of rest had been cut short. The young woman simply smiled faintly, as though inwardly reassuring her own body that it would get rest soon enough. Reaching out and grabbing her cane resting against the nightstand with the single lit candle resting atop it, casting a bit of light in the blackened room, the young woman leaned against it as she slowly crossed the room, her bared feet moving soundlessly across the carpeted floor.

Idly brushing a few locks of golden hair away from her sleepy face, Eleanor reached out with the same hand shortly after and slowly began to draw one half of the curtains aside to see through the glass doors to peek out onto the balcony. Her actions were simple and discreet, as she wasn't about to completely open the curtains if the sound itself had been her imagination. Instead, the curtain was parted just slightly for her eyes to gaze out upon the balcony, first scanning the ground, only to inevitably shift upwards to unknowingly gaze upon her balcony's new occupant.

Vincent, Black Wing, didn't dare look down, but in not looking down he was not sure if she was at the window. He preferred to go unseen. He pushed himself closer to the wall of the tower, but made sure not to push hard against his wings, for the bone was very fragile and could break as easily as a glass vial.

He stood there, but unfortunately in shifting himself closer to the wall, he lost his footing, causing his feet to slip forward, hitting his head on the protuding stone.
He didn't have time to spread his wings to keep himself from hitting the balcony floor. As he fell instead he brought himself as upright as he could so he would not land on his wings, instead landing on his bum.

When he landed hard on the cold stone of the balcony, he bit down on his lower lip to keep from yelling out in pain. Instead he rubbed the back of his head as he tried to slowly get to his feet. Little did he know that the princess was at the window behind him.

"Awww, ooww. Of all the times for me to slip up and loose my balance it just had to be now? God, I hope she is a heavy sleeper." He said, completely unaware to the irony in this statement.
