Green eyes widened as they caught sight of a winged figure outside on her balcony. At first, she had only seen a small circular item laying before the closed doors, but before she could even consider opening them to inspect the item and take it in her hands, she had noticed the dark stranger outside, falling to the stone on his rear, a pair of feathered black wings on his back.

Quickly and quietly, Ella released the curtain and took a step away from the doors, heart pounding in her throat. What was a winged man doing on her balcony at this hour? This couldn't be that...thief Vincent had spoken of earlier, could it...?

With her heart pounding erratically beneath her chest, the princess breathed quickly and deeply, her thoughts racing and conflicted as she wondered what to do. Maybe if she remained quiet and let him be, he would simply fly away and leave her alone.

But... What if he didn't?

Clutching her cane between her hands, Ella trembled as she considered the possibilities. Vincent had said that he never harmed women, but even so... Those were the words of another man. What would the actual thief say had he the need to describe himself? Maybe Vincent only knew a lie, and the real thief was truly a bloodthirsty man who toyed with women instead and blackmailed them into silence.

Eleanor couldn't take any risks. The more time she wasted, the more windows of opportunity this intruder had to break through hers and do unspeakable things.

Reaching out quickly and opening both balcony doors without bothering to pull the curtains out of the way, Eleanor stepped out onto the balcony and raised her cane high into the air to bring it down upon the winged stranger's head, heart in her throat the entire time.

The young woman had never attacked anyone before, but surely in the name of self-defense, it would be alright... Wouldn't it...?

He sat there for a few minutes after he hit the ground, rubbing his head.
"Good God that's going to leave a lump."
He unbuckled his sword from his side, seeing as how he was sitting on it in an uncomfortable way.

After a minute or so he barely heard the faint creaking of the balcony doors opening. Foolishly he turned his head only to receive the tip of a cane straight to his forehead.

He fell to his left side clutching his new pain. He didn't even bother to look over at Ella. "OW! What was that for!" Though this it was obvious why but still the question was a remote reaction.

He kept his wings folded back as he slid away from the window towards the railing of balcony.

He looked up holding his head. So many thoughts went through his head. He was suprised, earlier she was so timid and shy. Now she was attacking him with her cane. "Perfect...I've been found out. This certainly is a first."

He waved his hands quickly back and forth. "Please I beg you, don't call the guards. I don't want any trouble, not tonight at least."

Ella would have cried a series of names at the half-masked man; things like "fiend" and "improper bastard" came to mind, but the young woman was so hesitant in speaking such things, if even to a stranger prowling outside of her window. She supposed she was starting to pick up a few ill-favored traits that both of her more aggressive sisters bore, but even with that, she couldn't deny that this was most out of character. The words were held back behind trembling lips, even as she raised her cane for another swing at the man's head.

The man gave a deep cry: "OW! What was that for!"

Her heart pounded as she dripped the slender shaft of the make-shift weapon in her hands, knuckles turning white as her weakened muscles fought to gain enough strength for another blow to the man's head. Taking a step to follow as the man moved his body away from her towards the balcony railing, she stopped herself only when he looked up at her, holding his head before waving his hands at her in defense.

"Please I beg you, don't call the guards. I don't want any trouble, not tonight at least."

In a moment, the princess felt a measure of pity for the man, horror at her own seemingly barbaric actions, and confusion at her own hesitation. To assist a masked man by not calling the guard? One would be foolish not to.

Lucky for this man, Ella was a foolish girl.

She staggered back against the door frame, breathing heavily and clutching her cane before her chest. Staring down at the masked man with widened eyes, she felt feverish, her heart continuing to pound. He asked not to be given away to the guards. That must have meant that he was a person up to no good...right? People often had only one reason to run into guards, and that was because they were in trouble, or making trouble themselves.

"W-Who are you...?" she asked him with an apprehensive voice. "What are you doing here?"

She felt the fear take over, her immediate regret that she did not simply stay within her room and let him go about his business without knowledge of her presence. Now what would he do to her? What would be the price of her naivety? Death? Kidnapping? ...Something far worse than both?

Her eyes glazed over slightly as she stared down at the stranger, her thoughts conflicted and her emotions on the rise.

A wave of relief rushed over him when she did not call for the guards. Perhaps it was because of what he had told her earlier about himself, or maybe it was because of her natural nievette? No matter, either way it prevented any more of a compromising situation than he was already in. To him the saying "Curiosity killed the cat" held oh-so-true, but really it was more like "Curiosity earned The Black Winged Theif two lumps on the head and a pain in the rear."

Before she spoke he said, "I assure you, I mean you no harm."

"W-Who are you...?" she asked him with an apprehensive voice.

"Who?" he responded with a question, and immediately after responding he said, "Who is but the form following the function of what, and what I am is a black winged man in a mask."

He made no movement for fear of getting hit on the head again, not even a move to remove his crossbow from his shoulders, even though it was obvious to see that he had no bolts for which to use, so the weapon was useless, but he wished to remove it so that she could feel a little more assured at his earlier statement that he meant no harm.

Ella gave the man a stunned glare after his words, continuing to hold her cane almost defensively over her chest. At first, she wasn't entirely certain how to respond to it. It was obvious that he was a man in a mask, but she didn't understand how that should have interfered with a more...definite introduction.

Was he teasing her?

Biting her lip softly as she looked down at him, keeping her back pressed rather uncomfortably against the doorframe, she considered her words to come carefully. Granted, she knew she shouldn't be speaking with such a suspicious looking character in the first place, but what could she do? Try to run back into her room and hold it closed? Like his strength wouldn't be enough to open the doors again despite her effort to block it.

"I-I can see you're wearing a mask..." she said quietly, weakly. "But I doubt the mask itself is your identity, and even if it is, your 'mask' must have a name to go by. Or should I simply call you 'Mister Masked Man'?"

She paused for a moment, having said a number of words beginning with the letter M in succession.

A cold nightly breeze blew through the air, howling through the open doorway and causing the young woman in the thin nightgown to shiver. Nervously shifting her weight, she sought to hide the motion of her body as her eyes remained locked on the winged man, one sleeve slipping just slightly off of her smooth shoulder. Slowly, her hand reached up to pull it back in place, but remaining there as her fingers gripped the white cloth thereafter.

What a compromising situation this had become. A strange, masked man outside her balcony doors, and her coming out to "greet" him, in naught but a thin nightgown. It made her feel...vulnerable. Even more so than she may have been otherwise. During the day, at least her gowns were layer upon layer of fabric, but now...

"What is your purpose here?" she asked him again with her soft voice. "Give me a good reason why I should not call the guard on you."

"I-I can see you're wearing a mask..."

"I did not question you powers of observation, mearly bringing attention to the paradox in asking a masked man, who he is." He said as he moved about ever so slightly, his body language giving a "Jack Sparrowish" feel to it, as he casually slipped the crossbow from his shoulders and pushed it aside. This meant to emphasis his earlier remark of having no ill intentions toward her.

"But I doubt the mask itself is your identity, and even if it is, your 'mask' must have a name to go by. Or should I simply call you 'Mister Masked Man'?"

"Aye, I see the beautiful Miss has a sense of humor. Most call me The Black Winged Thief. Though you may call me as you please, 'Black Wing', 'Thief', 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrel' it matters not to me." he said as he put his hands up above his head, crossing his wrists, at the moment he was at her mercy.

"What is your purpose here?" she asked him again with her soft voice.

"I was simply flying around the castle ground, trying to get a feel for the layout, for when I return tomorrow night to make good on my promise that I made in my letter to your father. Even now I had to fly cautiously, it seems he deployed his guards to search the grounds in case I still remained. Then as I flew by I saw you on the balcony, your beauty was breath-taking. I landed on the protrusion, partly for rest, and I overheard the conversation between you and your father, the King." He wasn't going to bring attention to the lies her father had spun, it was not his place to question the King, nor a father, no matter how impure the intentions. He would see to it the King got what he deserved, much later though. After all Karma's a bitch.

"Give me a good reason why I should not call the guard on you."

"Because, if you did, then your father would find out you conversed and assulted a 'dangerous' theif, and would possibly reprimand you for doing so, expecially after you apparently went on a little tour of the town from what I heard. You wouldn't want to get in any further trouble with 'Daddy Dearest' now would you? And I would not personally enjoy being captured, nor knowing that a beautiful flower such as yourself, got into trouble because of my presense." He used "finger quotes" when he said "dangerous theif" to emphasize that he was not meant to be taken as dangerous towards her.

Xavier walked out of the Inn, paying for his room since he'll be staying for a while, taking a deep breath, with the unknown tasks ahead of him.

putting his hands behind his head, taking a strolled along the streets, venturing the town for any gatherings of scumbags and lowlifes. as he went along his business, he heared the cries of a young lady, "Help!" she screamed. he frantically scanned his surroundings for the source of that plea for help. using his gut feeling, he dashed to one direction to find a lady in distress, while drawing his sword half way up.

She bit her lip again as she looked at him, watching his movements carefully as she tried to maintain a false sense of security.

"I'm not afraid of my father or his punishment," she said with a pout. "He is a kind man, and would have no reason to punish me at all if caught with a thief like yourself."

At her own words, Ella thought about the words of the masked man previously. To call him "The Black Winged Thief"... That was the name that Vincent had told to her, wasn't it. So it really was true then. This man did have intentions to steal one of her father's possessions tomorrow night. Unconsciously, the princess took a slow step back into the room, ignoring the chill of the wind as it seemed to blow straight through her delicate body.

"Y-You shouldn't be here..." she stammered quietly. "Why do you not fly away? I could scream at any time and guards will come running. D-Do you...think I would not? I may be slow in running, but I can make my voice carry quite loudly if need be..."

So now it came down to innocent threats? Honestly, any man could see through the fascade she presented to him, her body trembling like a leaf, and her rounded eyes wide and gazing upon him with uncertainty. If he did choose to come at her, for any reason at all, she wasn't certain if her arms had the strength to hit him again.

Glancing away, a few locks of her golden hair shifted against her cheek with the breeze, as though the strands had come to life and attempted to hide her conflicted and frightened eyes from his view.

"And you must be mistaken, sir..." she continued quietly. "The one of beauty within my family is my graceful sister. Perhaps you landed on the wrong balcony. Then again, you are wearing a mask. Your vision must be hindered by it."

And it was true. Emma had always been praised as the most beautiful of the three sisters. Emma, with her flawless grace and their mother's perfect features... She was truly a vision. And as for Eleanor... Her body was weak and useless, removing any possibility of grace and splendor, too skinny and lacking the full womanly curves that many might otherwise prefer. Her mother used to praise her as a child for her long tresses of hair, like silken waves of golden sunlight, but the young Ella would always exclaim that she'd much rather have chocolate-shaded tresses like her mother and sister.

Ella pressed her lips together softly as her thoughts attempted to stray from those that glorified her two perfect sisters and their qualities that had always been openly praised. Emma was the beauty, Delia was the one everyone liked... Meanwhile, Ella would be locked away in her room, too ill or weak to move and enjoy the company of others.

This man, this thief, was obviously telling her a rather grandiose lie with such words.

"Y-You shouldn't be here..." she stammered quietly. "Why do you not fly away? I could scream at any time and guards will come running. D-Do you...think I would not? I may be slow in running, but I can make my voice carry quite loudly if need be..."

"Yet, at the same time, you do not call upon them? Could it be that you're to afraid to, or maybe this kind of confrontation is something you've sought for, the rush of being near, and speaking with a thief, a scoundrel who could over-power you easily? Nay, that is not the kind of man I am, I am to gentle towards women to do such a barbaric act. If there is anything that my parents taught me, that i took to heart, it was never to lay a hand on a woman should she not wish it." his tone deep and true, his eyes unfaltering as he said this, he stared not on her figure, but into her eyes as he said these words.

"And you must be mistaken, sir..." she continued quietly. "The one of beauty within my family is my graceful sister. Perhaps you landed on the wrong balcony. Then again, you are wearing a mask. Your vision must be hindered by it."

Still holding his gaze upon her eyes, "Nay, I be not mistaken Mi'Lady. You are the one these eyes of mine saw, and this is surely the balcony upon which you stood. I know a gem when I see it, and you my dear are the most beautiful I have ever seen. If beauty could stop a man's heart, I would have fallen from the sky as I flew. A thief I may be, but it is part of my ethical code to never lie to a woman." he paused as he looked at her with the kind hearted eyes he had looked at her with earlier that night. "Should you so choose to continue to disbelieve me then I shall understand. Besides I should probably take my leave, you seem tired and cold, so I shall leave you to your rest if that is what you wish."

He slowly stood up and took a step forward, slowly reaching for his blade which he had laid down several minutes beforehand. He picked it up and strapped it to his side once again. He stepped back over to his crossbow and put it around his shoulders again.

He turned back to her and stood upon the railing of the balcony, "So, unless you have any objection to my parting, until fate crosses our paths again, I bid you good night and farewell." He said as he gave a respectful bow to her as he stood on the railing, waiting on her reply.

"Or maybe this kind of confrontation is something you've sought for, the rush of being near, and speaking with a thief, a scoundrel who could over-power you easily?"

His words started her for a moment, her stomach twisting into knots as they echoed in her mind, over and over.

They seemed to be so indecent somehow. Words rather bold and unrestrained to be spoken to a lady, and innocent as she was, the struck her rather oddly, in a way she could not truly define. What was it he had been hinting at with such words, and how would he know of her desires? Such things had never been spoken openly to anyone, and even the thought of being near such a "scoundrel" was something too indecent, especially when one considered the reputations of most. Being alone with a man was one thing, but being alone with a thief who lacked rules and restrictions was something else entirely. However, if this man before her did live by a code that involved no brutality of any kind against women, then... Perhaps she would be safe.

Ella continued to stand motionless as she listened to him continue, commenting on his view of her, the supposed beauty he had seen that would have made him fall from the sky, as he put it. Her face was a mask of surprise and confusion. Again, she thought that he must be lying.

" I know a gem when I see it, and you my dear are the most beautiful I have ever seen."

He's lying... she thought to herself, the voice in her mind saddened with such words. He must be lying... Women as useless as I carry too many faults to be beautiful in the eyes of a man. He truly is out of his mind...

The young woman glanced at the winged man out of the corner of her eye as he moved to retrieve his weapons, and for a moment, she stiffened against the doorframe. Her body relaxed just slightly when she saw him sheathe the sword and shoulder his crossbow. He was leaving.

"So, unless you have any objection to my parting, until fate crosses our paths again, I bid you good night and farewell."

Her pink lips parted just slightly as her head slowly rose so she could look at him fully once more. Ella had no immediate thoughts to stop him, but she wondered if he had wanted to go at all. Why hadn't he simply bid his farewells and flew off into the night, remaining a man of mystery rather than someone so...courteous?

"I-I..." she started softly, "I cannot stop you, if you wish to leave. Truly, I see no reason for you to stay here at all, so... If you must fly away, then so be it..."

Ella swallowed hard for a moment as her gaze momentarily faltered, but she shifted her eyes to lock onto his once more as her words continued quietly.

"Since...you did nothing to compromise me..." she began slowly, her voice careful and rather timid, "I'll not tell the guards of this moment. Though... If what I hear is true, and you seek to return here tomorrow night... I am sure you will be at the guards' own mercy, rather than my own..."

Taking a slow step back into her darkened bedchambers, the candle on the nightstand near her bed having long-since been put out by the frigid night air, Ella continued to stare at the dark stranger, trying desperately to cast aside her conflicting emotions within, struggling to forget his words that had her stomach twisting in knots.

"Farewell then..."

For a moment, Eleanor wondered if this man may die come the morrow during his attempt on her fathers riches, and if those two words would be the last she would ever speak to him.

He rose from his bow and looked at her one last time as he spoke. "Until we meet again." he said as he fell backwards off the railing.

He continued to fall until he was halfway down the towers length, at which point he twisted himself around and spread his wings and allowed himself to go into a divebomb form. As he neared the ground the angled his wings, making himself flatten out and glide quickly passing over several guards.

"Evening gents." he said as he passed over them.

The group stared on in wonder for a second, they had not actually expected to see him that night. "SOUND THE ALARM, ITS THE BLACK WINGED THIEF." one yelled out towards one of the other guards near the castle.

However they failed to realize that he was going, rather than coming, and was long gone before the alarm was ever sounded.

The young woman stood amazed as the stranger fell from the balcony railing and out of sight. Her green eyes widened and she dropped her slender cane, which fell to the ground with a silent clank. Forgetting the sound and the fallen item, Eleanor rushed forward as quickly as her legs would take her and stumbled against the railing, her eyes searching the air below for his winged form.

Slender hands gripped the stone railing, knuckles turning white from the strain, and her soft lips were parted as though to release a soundless cry.

There were shouts from the castle grounds far below, carried by the wind to her ears.

"Sound the alarm!" she heard a masculine voice call out into the night. "It's the Black Winged Thief!"

Ella's eyes searched what she could make out below, until she spotted the stranger's body, flying on a smooth course away from the castle and into the night to vanish. Her eyes watched him until he disappeared from view, entranced and almost breathless. It wasn't as though she had never seen a being with such large feathered wings, for her own sister had her own, only they were as white as pure, unblemished ivory. This man's were as black as ebony, but still just as beautiful somehow.

Black had always been a shade associated with evil. In the darkness, those with wicked intent always wandered, but never in the light. Light was purity and good, while the dark wasn't to be trusted, filled with evil. Despite that, however, Ella could not imagine those black wings being a symbol of his wickedness.

The princess stood there for a time, her green eyes locked onto the darkness as her mind drifted away, recalling the stranger's words to her, imprinting the moment into her brain. It was indecent for a lady to be alone with such a man, but somehow, she did not wish to forget it. An encounter with a person from the outside world... An encounter with anyone... It seemed a rather welcome thing. Somehow, the thought of a person she had met meeting their demise, even as a response to their recklessness, hit her rather hard.

Please... she thought as her eyes softened slightly, her thick lashes fluttering closed. Please do not come back tomorrow. I have no wish to have known anyone who must fall to such a cruel fate...

Turning away from the balcony, her green eyes found the sight of her fallen cane. Staggering forward on weary legs, she moved to retrieve the item and return to the warmth of her dark and lonely bedchamber. As she knelt to pick it up, however, her legs finally gave out on her and she fell to the floor, catching herself with her hands. Ella remained that way for an immeasurable amount of time, her head lowered and her hair falling into place over her shoulders, like a silken gold curtain on either side, the ends subtly pooling against the floor.

The emotions finally took hold and were released. The fear of confronting a thief, the fear of speaking to a man, the overwhelming sadness she felt to be left alone once more. Tears burned at her eyes, a sensation that was not foreign to the young woman as she cried softly, not having the strength to come to terms with tonight's events, the people that she had met and would likely never see again. Once again, she was alone.

Eleanor slept soundly that night when she had finally closed her room to the cold and returned to her large bed, blankets pulled up to her chin, and her cheeks dampened by fallen tears.

Emma paced her room, her eyes red and puffy from crying. She might as well be locked in her room as of tonight and forever. His threat had been quite clear when he'd found her again. An engagment had been issued with Deon. She would rather die but the other threat had kept her from doing anything so rash. If she did not comply her sisters would be in danger.

"I wish I had been born a commoner so I could love who I choose to love and marry for love and not alliance! Damn you father, damn you!" She growls at her door. He'd left hours ago, yet she still paced and could not for the life of her sleep. She had changed after he had left and wore a plain icy blue silk night dress.

"Poor Ella and Delia...they do not know what will befall us. Father's lies. They hurt everyone I hold dear and will hurt Ella the most when they come to light. My dear sisters..." She says, placing her face in her hands and crying again. Strong and graceful Emma was afraid of what would happen to her and her sisters soon. She was mostly afraid of the crowning of tomorrow night. She would become Crown Princess after that and could no longer refuse her father's orders.

Emma would not sleep this night. It was unusual for her not to sleep, but tonight she could not bring herself to sleep. Sleep would escape her tonight as it had once before, when the man she loved had been killed two years before. "Princess Emma? Are you alright?" One of the guards calls, hearing her sobs. "I'm fine." Emma says before putting an icy blue dressing robe on and heads out onto the balcony, watching the sky. "Keep my sisters safe, I do not care what happens to me lord of fate." She says with silent tears.

Delia was slung over the mans shoulder as he walked out of the alleyway they were previously in. He began to walk around town, ignoring the strange looks he was getting. Delia was still unconcious, but her body was reacting with whatever she had been knocked out with. It was a little twitch at first. Then it turned into a slightly larger twitch.

Jio continued walking down the hallways glancing into every room he passed by. He was also remembering how to get out so he could make a fast escape if he needed to. After what seemed like forever, he came to a door guarded by a guard. This has to be the door. Why else would it be guarded? He paused a moment. I wonder how I should go about doing this. Maybe I can convince the guard that it was time to change shifts, or I could knock him out cold. That would leave me very little time to leave here before the guard is noticed. I would most likely have to leave out the window. Either way I have to decide quick. The only way I could think of doing this is to flip a coin. Jio reached into his pocket and pulled out his lucky coin. This coin always picks what is right. Heads I try and convince the guy to change shifts, tails I knock him out. Jio threw it high into the air. Time almost seemed to stand still as it fell from the air spinning.

Jio caught the coin, gripping it into his hand tightly. He opened his hand slowly to reveal a glimmering coin. It was tails. Well, at least I get to have some fun. He took the coin and set it back into his pocket so it wouldn't fall out. He headed down the hallway and greeted the guard first. "Hello. May I ask who's room this is?"

"Greetings. This is Princess Emma's room. Now go on about your business. You have no reason to be here." The guard looked sternly at Jio.

"That is where your are wrong my good sir." Jio immediately pulled out his scythe and sliced the guard across the throat. "Forgot I had nothing to knock him out with. Oh well. Guess I should go in." He paused for a moment. "I should knock first." Jio knocks on the door and asked, "Princess, may I enter? It is fairly urgent." He waited at the door for his answer scanning the hallways as he waited for other guards.

Xavier searched all corners of the streets, and alleys. looking for the young lady who screamed for help, he ran all over town, untill he found small crowds of people staring at something, or someone in fact.

He shoved people out of his, attempting to take a glimpse. finding a strange man carrying a winged girl on his shoulders, he turned his left left to right if anyone would do something about it. they just stood there giving strange looks, it seemed only he could be the one taking action. he pulled out his sword and aimed it at the stranger. "Stop where you stand brute!" he called him out, in his tone was anger. release the woman or i will have you do so by force!"

Delia could hear someone faintly speaking, and felt something digging into her side. She heard anger in the voice she heard, and she was lifted into the air. She opened her eyes, but saw blurred shapes. Now she was scared. She started twisting and turning, her wings twitching nervously. She heard someone shout at her, but the voice didn't register.

"Heh... You think you can make me leave this pr-" the man said, being interrupted by a hand smacking his face.

"Put me down!" Delia screamed, her vision having cleared now. She thrashed, and the two of them toppled over and Delia tumbled away, striking her ankle against something as she did. She bit her lip and tried to ignore the searing pain.

Vicent made it back to the entrance of his hideout. He moved a boulder out of the way of the entrance, which he left there during the day when he was out.
As he walked into the large hole he pulled down several vines and plants that shrouded the entrance. The little tunnel was pitch black. He had no torch. Rather he used a special ability that was given to him thanks to his father. He held out his right hand and a white ball of fire grew, roughly the size of a baseball. Casting light to about 8 feet in front of him.

He followed the tunnel down until he reached his actual hide out. There were items lining the walls of the hideout, mostly treasures he had stolen from many different lands, others were disguises he would use from time to time to move about more freely.

He walked over to a table that had a traveling lantern on it. He opened a little hatch on it and put the little ball of fire into it so that nothing would catch fire because of it.

His walls were lined with paintings, sculptures, bracelets, crowns, staffs, gems, and several other aweing treasures.

He removed his half mask and placed it on a marble sculpture of some prince of a far off land outside of this countries boarders. He did the same with the shirt and vest he wore.

He walked over to the table and picked up the lantern and walked over to one of the caves corners. Revealing a man who was tied up.
I'm sorry I was gone for so long. Do not worry, I'll be letting you free after tomorrow night.

"You're truely going through with this? You're mad! You'll be killed."

"Maybe, maybe not, but that is a risk I always take when I choose my mark. So tell me what is you're place in the castle Mister Guard."

He had been refusing to tell him for several nights, but at this point it was useless, he had been playing mind games with him the entire time and his mind was fatigued, maybe in telling him, Vincent would allow the man to sleep, and he was also in no position to refuse any longer. "I was to be one of Princess Eleanor's newest guards, come tomorrow night."

Vincent grinned, this couldn't have been more perfect. He would need the man's uniform, but he was one of Miss Ella's guards? That would put him right where he needed to be. "How perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better guard to have snagged. That will put me exactly where I need to be."

The man's face grew with worry. "Y-YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HARM THE PRINCESS ARE YOU!" he yelled out.

Vincent rubbed at his ears. "I'm standing right here you dunce, no need to shout. My plan involves her yes, but no harm shall come to her, but should things go according to plan, I shall steal what I intend to and the King won't even realize it. In fact, he'll believe that I stole nothing at all."

"Y-you're going to..." he trailed off, the guard had an idea of what his plan was now.

"That's right." Vincent threw the man a few apples. "Eat up. We don't want you going hungry now do we? You may be my hostage, but I'm not a horrible host."

"You truely are a strange one aren't you? You're a thief yet you refuse to steal from a woman. You'd fight other thieves before allowing a woman to be harmed or stolen from. And you kidnap someone yet you treat them like your guest."

Vincent only grinned more and let out a little laugh, "My dear friend, I may be a thief, but I'm not a heartless bastard. Now please eat and rest, you've earned it."

Emma turns around hearing the knock and the voice. Might as well have company. "Come in then." She says simply. With her hair down she looked like any other maiden in the kingdom.

She walks towards her bed after closing the balcony doors and sits on the edge of it. Her fear had settled but she was still sad, very sad. Her eyes looked on the edge of shedding more tears.

Jio slipped into the room quickly, he had not much time. "Thank you princess. You will not regret this." Jio walked into the room some more and locked the door behind him, pulling off the helmet he was wearing at the same time. "Princess, I know you don't want to be here. I could tell once I saw your crown in the city. A princess would never leave the castle unless they wanted to leave it forever. Even if it is just to the city." He paused for a moment. "I'm here to take you away. Wherever you want." He waited for her answer anxiously.

Emma turns her eyes to the face of her would-be-rescuer. "If only I could. If I leave it my duties will fall to one of my sisters. I do not wish to see this happen. I am all the protection they have from this. But...I do have a favor to ask, if you will but do one thing for me. You do not have to of course, but I wish you to consider it." She says standing and walking across the room to the small box on the dressing table. She finds what she is looking for comes back to him.

"Consider it a favor to me. Come to the crowning and the after ball. This will get you in. Just show it to one of the guards. If you don't want to come, I understand. You may keep it either way." She says, holding an icy blue ring the same color as her eyes, out to him.

He walked up to the princess and took the ring slowly. "Either way, I have to leave quickly. I accidentally killed your guard. I was hoping to take you out of here tonight. There is no need for you to be here." He stopped himself after that. He had just remembered something. "Hey, did you see your sister since the fight. The one with the wings. I never saw her head this way." He started thinking about this when she mentioned her sisters having to take her burdens. "She might have been left there. It's my fault. I didn't check on her after the fight." He felt very regretful now.

He started hearing shouts outside. "I have to go now. Princess, if you want to go this is your last chance. I am going out the window." He held out his hand as an offer.

She didn't want to stay. She wanted her freedom. It was so tempting. He made it sound so simple. But she'd be abandoning her sisters. "I wish it really was that simple, my knight." She says "Instead, leave me. But do come, I wish you would. If my plan works, then my sisters will be free. When that comes to be, then I will flee. Go with good faith my Black Knight, I need you alive not dead. Save my sisters, not me. I have nothing left to live for now." She says before placing a kiss on his cheek. If the plan failed...well that'd be really bad. However rather her dead then her sisters. If it went wrong she would be dead. None of them would like the plan. She hides her hand behind her back before he can notice the ring. Engaged to death her mother called it. She was engaged to Prince Deon the Ruthless as of four hours ago.

Delia looked at the man in front of her, her sight slightly fuzzy from the tears that were welling up behind her eyes. She shook her head and touched her ankle tenderly. "He didn't hurt me," her voice was soft, but it wobbled with fear. She had never experienced this when she went out of the palace. She would be in so much trouble if her father found out what had happened...

She looked up and saw the man who had knocked her out behind the person in front of her. She saw him bringing down a sword and pushed the man out of the way and put her arms up. The sword ended up being stopped by her arms, but it had also pierced her skin, making her bite her lip.
