((If all goes well, this story will continue. It could be a trilogy, how cool would that be =o)) The Hand of Doom, a term scarcely used in jest or joke. Though the concept may seem outlandish, it is no issue to be taken lightly. The Hand have been the most secretive and deadly of all the casters since time immemorial. They are a caste of five great spell-weavers. Stories and records speak of the Hand exterminating the populace of an entire kingdom with the Winds of Magic, the source of the True Power. Though the Hand was, at first, a paragon to the people, being the arcane guardians of their king, they soon grew mad, corrupted by the king that now rules the land with a fist as cold as ice, hard as iron, and as unforgiving as a rabid dog. Now, more than ever, the Hand are powerful beyond measure, feeding from the True Power like a famished horse from a basket of apples. The mad king Bhaldur, his sense of morality and sanity completely decayed by his evil, declared war on all nonhumans; stating that every man, woman, and child of nonhuman nature would be killed or publicly executed, any sympathizers or supporters of the nonhuman kind will be tortured and executed as well. All looked grim, but a gathering was massing in the Myst Forest, one of the forgotten lands. The home of he Shapers and Singers, the Eldyr, the Firstborn, the Elves. Here, in the elven safehaven, the greatest leaders of the nonhuman's gathered under a banner of peace and allegiance. The Eldyr chaperoned the meeting, making sure that their younger kin would not get into a fight over long-forgone but not forgotten grudges. Here, in the Myst Forest, the nonhuman's planned their counter attack. Some, like the Blödhgarm, demanded open war, to shed as much blood as possible and to place the heads of their enemies on pikes as wards. Others, like the Gatä, wanted to fight more discretely and strategically. Then others, like the Cyntür did not want to fight at all, they thought it best to escape the lands and sail to the White Shore, the homeland of the Eldyr, the true Eden. ((Remember, these portrayals are merely a majority, some wished different approaches)) The RP will begin at the Grand Gathering, the congregation of all the nonhuman representatives. Your character can be there or not, it matters not, but it is there that the path of the RP will be decided. No one will be running away, because that defeats the purpose of the whole thing. Race Breakdown: Angmarians: The Angmarian people are what some would see as dwarves, though they are not overly short. They may have a few inches missing from their height, but they make up for that with their great strength, metal working skill, engineering, and elemental spell-weaving. They live in the mountains that reside in the Myst Forest, mining and forging, creating hidden cities out of the very rock. Blödhgarm: The Blödhgarm, or BloodWolf, as their native language translates to, are the other attempt the Eldyr had at creating a sentient race of animal-elves. The Blödhgarm are exactly what the Eldyr did not want to happen. The BloodWolves gained their name in ways you can probably imagine. They seceded from the Eldyr influence and made their home in the northern-most mountain range, the Novgaröd mountains. In this place, the Blödgharm became masters of the Absolute Power, the power of Berserker Rage. The gift of their god, Fenrisúlfr. They have the ability to change and turn during the showing of the moon, becoming massive, destructive, berserk lycans, bent on blood and destruction. Cyntür: The Cyntür are the Eldyr's first successful attempt at making a pure hearted and kindred race. The Centuars, as mankind calls them, are a rare sight on the battlefield, simply because they are such skilled hunters and druids, they can stay in concealment and do their fair share of work without being seen. The Cyntür rarely fight, however. They find all life precious and worth preserving. Dragons: Dragons range in size and shape, be creative with them. They can be a humanoid, anthropomorphic dragon or a massive feral dragon. Though all dragons are sentient and not really feral. Eldyr: The Firstborn of all races. The Shapers and Creators, the Eldyr created many of the things one would take for granted. They also created some of the most dangerous and graceful creatures to grace and bloody the earth. They have mastered the art of the Graceful Kill and the True Caste, the pure form of magic use. Gatä: The Gatä are the most silent and deathly graceful of the Eldyr creations. The Gatä, being of elven and feline nature, are the most deadly of assassins. Though they lack the strength of the Angmarians, and even more so their older brothers, the Blödhgarm. The Gatä are mostly comprised of women, their men become honor guard to the elves or emissaries or other governmental positions. Elite Alliances: Riders: The alliance between Dragons and other nonhumans. Chosen nonhumans would be selected by a dragon and trained in the art of the Graceful Kill and Draconian Magic. They are the peace-keepers of the land, but they are a dying breed. Shadow-Caste: The Gatä caste of their most elite assassins and warriors. Men and women, trained to master the Silent and Graceful Kill and committing themselves to Illusion Magic, making them even more deadly, able to make themselves invisible or project their image elsewhere to distract an enemy. Irongard: The Angmarian sect of master guardians, masters of shield and hammer or axe, the Irongard are the best honor guard that the world has seen. Circle of Orboros: The Cyntür druidic religion; this divine teaching grants the devout followers to heal the most grevious of wounds without exerting too much energy on themselves. They also learn how to caste spells that make the living earth a weapon to smith those who might hurt it. Vordúlfr: In the Novgaröd language, this means Wolf Guard. The Wolf is sacred to the Blödhgarm, and thy honor the massive wolves by giving them a place among their people and giving them a glorious death, as well as not letting their remains go to no use. The Vordúlfr are the few who have learned to master all arts of weaponry and how to kill in such a way that the death of one enemy will cause three to flee because of the nature of their comrade's death. The Brutal Slaughter, they call this art. They do not openly use magic, but they can fuel their Berserker rage to make them all but juggernauts on the field of war, making sword and arrow matter little to them until they recover from their bloodlust and suffer the delayed effects of their wounds. My character is coming soon as well as character skeleton. for not, tell em if you are interested at all, and i will keep a spot reserved. Edited by StormWolf, 29 Oct 2008, 12:45 AM.

it sounds good. i'm gonna keep an eye open for this one. i've got a question, though. are we all supposed to play nonhumans? i think it's hardly fair for the human race if all nonhumandom would be warring with them. I mean, nonhumans are supposed to be stronger in many ways, right? maybe some restrictions for nonhumans will help even things out. just a suggestion... |

no, you can be a human if you want. I figure that since wea re all humans, i don't really need to delve into them tat much. The humans are a massive empire with a seemingly endless supply of soldiers. So, yes. People playing humans as well as nonhumans would be good. Once I post my profile, I will also put up the limitations. As far as strength goes, humans have the advantage of numbers and technology as well as the Hand to wreak havoc from afar. The nonhumans are few but they are strong, were the humans are many but they are nothing special unless they are spell-casters. They have gunpowder and other more destructive technology to back them up. Thank you for your suggestion ^____^ |

Ew... World of Warcraftshit... Eww... Your character's appearance disgusts me. World of Warcraft is a disgrace to Warcraft, it's just the worst MMORPG that was ever made. The Original Warcraft III: TFT is the best. Anyway, I'll make my character soon

I agree. Origional Single Player Warcraft was pure awsomness. I hate MMOs personally. But anyway, here's my first character! Name: Kini-Syamara Sharp-Claw “Kenny” Age: 24 Gender: Female Race: Gatä Height: 5’9 Weight: 143 pounds Eyes: Violet Hair: Body fur is orange and black, head hair is blond. Notable Features: Her strangely marked fur is a sign of great beauty among her people, but there is many of her tribe who say that the marks are an ill omen. General Appearance: Spoiler: click to toggle Weapons: Short swords, throwing knives, and her claws and teeth. Brief History: Because of her unique striped fur, she is treated differently by different people. Those who are superstitious tend to keep her at arm’s length, whereas those who are not embrace her with open arms. Kenny has grown very used to mixed reactions to her, and she has learned to distinguish herself in battle. She prefers hand-to-hand close combat where her speed and litheness can give her the upper hand. She has never been sent out as an assassin, partially because of her ‘loud’ fur, and also because she herself is somewhat loud. Her father was an elite guard who trained her, and her mother was an assassin for a long time before retiring to train her children as well. Her grandparents have more or less ordered her to be a great fighter, and she has thus far lived up to their expectations. |

a two story tall anthro dragon would be pushing it. sorry. He could shapeshift into a massive feral (4-legged) dragon, though, that would work. Anthro dragons should at most be around 6-7 feet. The Blödhgarm are the most massive of the nonhumans besides giants and trolls and other ghoulish Darktide creatures |

well, i figured that i had better post this to eliminate as much confusion as i can: Race size breakdown: Feral Dragons - they can vary in size, to the size of a dog to the size of a castle. Darktide - these are ncp's for the moment. they will come in later, don't worry about them. Blödhgarm - The Lycan Tribespeople are the largest of the humanoid creatures. The males tend to stand from 7- 7.5 feet tall; females stand from 5-6 feet tall. They are all very muscular. When they change into their werewolf forms, they grow in size: Dalhu increases in size by 1.5 times. Rahu increases by 2 times their normal size. Cyntür - They stand around the same height as a Blödhgarm in human form. Their bodies very more on shape depending on gender. Eldyr - Eldyr are fair and tall, standing on average around 6.5 feet tall at the tallest with an impressive athletic/ swimmer build. Anthro Dragon - about the same as the Eldyr Gatä - The Gatä are around 5'9" at the tallest and they have a nice athletic build, but they are very wiry due to their stealthy nature. Human - Your average human height variants Angmarian - Being short and stocky, but they have a powerful build for their size. |
