The Unlikely Journey
Deep within the Celestial's Wood, there's a shrine to the alleged protector. No one knows if this protector is real or not, but the shrine keeper believes in the legend of Grace, the protector of the lands. The keeper of the shrine often goes into the town, which brings us to our story.

In the town of Evanlion, there's equality and justice. Which brings us to me. The narrator of our story. I'd tell you more about myself, but that would be side tracking. Anyways, on with our story.

Everyone loves our current rulers, but far from the town, in the land of Darkwood, an evil arises. This evil, far worse than anything you've ever face surely, slowly overthrows the king and queen of Darkwood. Then moves on, planning to conquer the entire land.

But before we continue, back to the Celestial Woods. This is when the shrine keeper catches a glimpse of the protector, Grace. The keeper runs into town to tell the town council, but no one believes him/her. Desperate, he/she runs back to the shrine and sees a beautiful maiden standing beside it, looking around her.

Taking a step forward, he/she catches the maidens attention. He asks her of her name, in which she replies, "Grace." Overjoyed, the keeper brings her to his house, near the shrine. The two get into a deep conversation when Grace becomes alert. She whispers a small, "Damn," and stands up. The keeper asks whats going on, and Grace lets him in on what happened over in Darkwood. Together, the shrine keeper and Grace go to the town council to warn them, but the council doesn't believe a word of their story.

This is when I come into the story. I over hear their story, and I'm the only one who believes it. I find them by the fountain in the middle of the town and talk with them. I suggest that we adventure out of the town to defeat the darkness that is now traveling across the Celestial Warriors Strait, the body of water that connected Darkwood and Evanlion. They agree and together we set out on an adventure. Along the way we meet some unlikely allies, including a spy from the Federation of Countries who had heard of our adventure and was sent to help us out. We also meet some tough enemies from the Phoenix Republic.

++++

Grace watched as her body materialized. First her head had appeared. The her chest and stomach. Next were her hips and legs. Lastly her feet appeared. Her light blue hair was moving in the slight breeze as she dusted her short navy colored dress off. She huffed and looked around. She was in the forest. She sighed and shook her head slowly, looking around herself once again.

++++

Alexis Hayley Williams stood, panting. She had just finished off a duel with someone, and it left her exhausted. Of course, she had won. She always won when it came to dueling the people around the Village. She sat down making a small noise and let out a sigh. "Man, I'm tired..." she murmured.

Soli had been practicing her dark magic in the forest where she had been staying for a time being. Soli was a neko and a mage she was extremely good with dark magic and controlling the darkness and shadows her skills are very accurate she can move as fast as the speed of sound without noone noticing her. She didn't really talk to people much because she stayed distant from everyone and lived mainly by herself. "Well i guess i should head out and look for something exciting to do" Soli said begining to walk out of the forest.

Soli went off to find someone to talk to. She wandered around somemore trying to spot atleast one another person but she could find anyone. Just then a small baby wolf pup with white fur that looked like the snow came walking up to her.

"Hello there little guy you look hungry" Soli said. The small wolf pup licked her hand showing her that he was hungry. Soli smiled and took out some food she had packed with her and gave some of it to the wolf. "There you go you should be fine now" and with that Soli continued on her way.

The small wolf pup followed Soli around he didn't want her to leave just yet he wanted to thank her for giving her the food. Soli turned and looked at the wolf pup "Alright fine you can come with me" Soli said picking the wolf pup up.

Alexis went into the nearest Inn and looked around. Great, no one was around that she could challenge. She growled in frustration and walked out of the Inn and through the town for a bit. After a while she grew bored and exited the town, going into the nearby forest. She had wanted to practice her magic skills as she was mostly a sword user. Her healing abilities were great, but her dark magic was a tad rusty. After all, the last time she had used her dark magic was four or five years ago.

Stopping to listen to a bird singing its song, she sighed and closed her eyes. Alexis may be a dark Elf, but she was just as much of a nature lover as any other Elf. She listened to the leaves rustling in the summer breeze, the animals chirping and chattering in response to each other, and the soft toll of the bell from the village square. She smiled and continued on her way, keeping her ears open to the sounds of the forest.

Tai started enchanting plants, making them grow and become flowered ad viney, like a mini jungle. "sweet," he said, as the vines wrapped around his hands, he banished them to their original state

Kaztei, too was in the forest. He was an elf who can hear the wind. He uses this mainly for spying. That’s what’s so great about being able to hear the wind. Kaztei can listen in on a conversation from up to five miles away.

He didn’t come into the forest to practice any sort of magic. Kaztei didn’t have any magical ability that he knew of. He was planning on listening in on conversations of people who just happened to be in the forest. Either that, or find out what was going on around where he was.

Kaztei sat down under a tree and started concentrating on the wind around him. He was listening to the voices and all the sounds that were travelling through the wind. Kaztei listened and kept listening until he heard something worth listening to. Something that interested him. So far, he hadn’t heard anything.

Not anything all that interesting anyway. He heard a couple people practicing magic or something. He wasn’t entirely sure what was being practiced. Only that someone was practicing something. But for now, that’s all he heard. Nothing that interesting. Kaztei continued listening to the wind hoping to catch something of interest soon.

The stout dwarf was pretty tall for his kind, he had a large beard and carried two weapons, a gargantuan hammer, and a pretty huge axe. The armor he wore wasn't normal, it was made from Mithril, hell, a powerful substance, it can take a powerful slash from a sword, and not get a scratch. The only problem was, that the armor was vulnerable to heavy duty weapons like the ones that he wielded.

Muradin, as they call him, was the son of a legendary dwarf king, he kept that a secret, and hoped that no one would find out. Many assassins were payed to kill his bloodline to the very last dwarf, and sadly, that was him. Muradin knew about Runes, powerful magic which revolved around the area of both offensive, defensive, and buffing allies.

The dwarf looked at his surroundings, a small town, normal people, normal place, no duels seemed to interfere this slight moment of peace. Suddenly a voice penetrates the lengthy silence. "Muradin, son of . I know of your kind, bloody, nasty and vile. You have killed my allies, and rampaged my town. I will make you suffer."

Muradin smirked and cocked his head, trying to remember such an event. The goblin raid, dragon's heart, emerald crown? No, then it all suddenly clicked in, the Dark Mages! Yes, the forsaken race of Dark practitioners, hellish race. One would be dying to get in if they wanted to suffer eternal pain.

"And so it would seem, a Dark Mage Apprentice, I suppose?" Muradin's grin widened slightly as he drew the large hammer and axe, ready for battle. A powerful aura engulfed him, aqua blue. It was spheric, a cross with diamonds for it's tips was in the center of the aura, the cross' tips reached to the outer circle, another smaller circle was within the outer circle, except it was darker of color.

((Sorry for it taking me so long.. entry time))

Hiyaku, the keeping of the shrine in the woods dedicated to the protector, was returning from the village, after another unsuccessful attempt to talk to the villagers. They were all so skeptic of him and his ancient texts, insisting them to be fictional, but he knew that the protector was real. He had dedicated his life to his shrine work, only to be shunned as a nut job, but it did not ruin his mood or mind. He did not hate the villagers for being skeptics, nor did he bare them any ill will, his teachings had taught him better. He was happy with his lot in life, even if it was a little.. discouraging at times. He continued his walk threw the forest towards the shrine, he had a little more work to do before he could return to his house.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ikari stretched from his perch in the tree tops. He had climbed up for a little mid morning nap. Now he was rested and ready to continue. Ikari was traveling around looking for work. He made a good bounty hunter or trouble shooter, and could always pick up good money that way, but the jobs in the area he had been in had started to run dry, and he needed fresh blood to squeeze. Such was the life of one who lived off of other peoples problems. He shrugged this off, and started to walk, fallowing a trail of what he was fairly sure was deer, looking for a good catch for a meal. He was an expert ranger, so finding food in the wilderness was never a problem.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sharain stretched her teal colored wings wide and flapped them once just to get them ready. She sat perched on a spire in the middle of Darkwood, but she wouldn't be their long. Her master had told her that something was stirring in the land of Evanlion that would threaten their plans. The Demi-Fay girl had never been to that area yet, so she volunteered to go check things out for them. With another flap of her wings, this time a much stronger one, her body was lifted into the air, and she started to glide on an updraft. It wouldn't be a long flight.. but she might have to make several stops to stop herself from being board. She giggled lightly to herself, eager to find some fun in distant lands.

"I wonder where your mother is" Soli said to her new wolf pup. The wolf didn't say anthing it just let out a small whine. "Oh so you don't have a mother then that's why you followed me aswell right" Soli asked.

The wolf pup nodded it's head and licked her cheek. Soli laughed and started to pet it. "I'm gonna call you Soza you like that name" Soli asked. Soza yipped happily and snuggled closer to Soli's chest.

"I'm glad to see you like it now where shall we go to find you some food" Soli said walking around.

After having to land and continue on foot through the forest, Kyril sang softly as he walked, a lilting, melancholy tune that spoke of lost souls under a hunter's moon. He was new to the area, having flown from another country, using his twenty foot black feathered wings to catch thermals so he could doze while flying. He carried himself like he belonged anywhere, though judging from the large firearm, wide blade sword and long dirk strapped to his person, he had no qualms about defending himself.

He continued singing as he walked, enjoying the exercise, though his tone jilted for a moment as he saw a shrine off a side trail. Deciding to pay a visit to the shrine, he turns down the side trail, still singing that same tune. He didn't want to accidentally surprise anyone after all. He was just curious about the shrine. His voice easily carried beneath the trees, his song easily heard by anyone that was paying attention.

Hiyaku arrived at the forest shrine, reciting a short prayer before entering as was his routine. He started about his work, changing candles, lighting scents, dusting particularly unpopulated areas so the shrine did not look unkempt. It was not the most gratifying job in the world but it was one he did with pride.
During his work, he passed on of the vases in the shrine. The flowers in it were shriveled up, which was no condition for a shrine's decorations. He went outside the shrine to gather some flowers from around the nearby forest, it could always provide him with what he needed for his work. Sometimes thats all it took for his faith to be renewed.
Hiyaku's train of thought was interrupted as he caught the sound of singing. It seemed odd for him for someone to be walking threw the forest and singing, and the sound was getting louder so he reasoned that they were getting closer. He straightness and glanced around to see if he couldn't discern its source.

Walking around to the entrance of the shrine, Kyril finds himself facing what he assumes is the caretaker of the shrine. His song dies away as he smiles disarmingly, giving a small bow. "Fair paths and bright waters friend. I don't mean to disturb you. I just couldn't help but notice this beautiful shrine as I walked by. My name is Kyril Raevan Kasadil, and I am but a humble adventurer. May I inquire as to who this shrine is dedicated to?" His voice was oddly dual toned, at once deep and resonant with a lighter, more airy overtone, sounding almost like he had two voices. They didn't conflict though, instead producing a hauntingly graceful voice.

It must seem odd though, to hear such a voice come from a seven foot tall, broad shouldered male winged elf. He didn't seem to be threatening in any way, though judging by the equipment he carried, that could easily change.

Hiyaku had seen many wonders in his days, and so the elf didn't put him off that much, though he was certainly a sight to behold. He smiled slightly, glad that someone was taking an interest in the shrine, and returned the bow respectfully. "Good day to you. I am called Hiyaku, and yes, I am this shrine's caretaker. This shrine is dedicated to the great protector, Grace, a magnificent goddess of good and compassion" he replied. Hiyaku's eyes seemed to sparkle when he spoke of Grace. He had dedicated his life to the service of the goddess and had little to no regrets. He was overjoyed that someone had finally taken enough of an interest in the shrine to ask about it, even if it was just a curious adventurer.

Kaztei was still sitting in that same place in the forest. He was still focused on the sounds he hears in the wind. He was about ready to give up on it and say there isn’t anything going on today. Maybe just a few more minutes. If I don’t hear anything then I’ll just try again somewhere else.

A couple minutes later he had heard something. It was… someone walking on the forest. And singing? It must have been only a few miles from where Kaztei was at. Then there was someone else there too. Kaztei couldn’t make out what that guy was doing.

The singing stopped and Kaztei could hear words coming through the wind to him. The guy walking was now named Kyril Raevan Kasadil and now Kaztei new the other man there had to have been the shrine keeper.

Then he heard, “This shrine is dedicated to the great protector, Grace, a magnificent goddess of good and compassion”

Kaztei opened his eyes and stopped his focus on the wind. That was all he needed to hear to tell him to go to the shrine himself. It’s only a few miles away. If I hurry, hopefully I won’t miss anything important. He got up and started silently running toward the shrine.

Kyril, upon hearing who the shrine was dedicated to and what her purpose was, seemed rather interested, almost fervently so. "Really? She is a protector? And what does she protect exactly? And how?" He looked slightly out of sorts, like he had just come upon something he had been searching all his life for. It didn't show in his movements or in his voice though, just in his eyes. Where as before his gaze was slightly melancholy, now it was bright.

"Oh...Forgive me, I forgot my manners for a moment." He bows to Hiyaku. "I am glad to know you Hiyaku. Would please tell me more of this shrine and its Goddess?" If he noticed Hiyaku's reverence of the shrine and its protector, he didn't give any sign. It was as if he was focused solely on hearing more about the Goddess and her purpose.

Kaztei managed to get to the shrine. He was of course tired from running a couple of miles so fast.

He hid in the nearest bush making sure no one can see him and noticed the two standing by the shrine. Good looks like I didn't miss too much. He might reveal himself later. But not right now.
