Eternal Story of Adia is a Rp story that I've been working on since I've started Rping. Now, I know that a lot of people have told me that the story and the complexity of it can sometimes seem intimidating. Please don't let that discourage you. The character, D, can fit with other people's story as well if they wanted to be the main attraction to the Rp and then D's story can mingle with that as well. So its not really that difficult as it might sound, and I hope that I'm not discouraging anyone either. But really, the setting and theme's of Eternal Story of Adia takes its place in a world that's relative to LoTR's, D&D so it has a real Fantasy base, and Medieval of course. Now what I'm mostly looking for is the Romantic part to the story, but that can be discussed too if any questions about it. Themes of ESoA: Medieval/Fantasy/Adventure/Action/Comedy/Romance/Suspense Rules: I'm pretty much laid back on Rules, though of course, grammar and spelling is kind of necessary, but again like I said, as long as its just decent I'm fine with that. But what I do ask, is no excessive cursing, no explicit content [Only and IF it comes to it, keep it in Private Messaging] , and definitely.. please.. No one liners and that's no exception. At least 4-6 sentences, I'll be fine with that. The plot revolves around mostly D trying to find his past, but at the same time, he's avoiding being captured from the ones that after him. Also, the same people are the major treat of the continent, which has seen numerous of wars that's been going on for nearly 50 years. So a lot of the land, specifically the western part of the continent, is at war. As far as the eastern portion, a lot of it is just trying to carry on its daily life and trying to stay neutral from the War of Vlain and Thalion. Which is the two nations right now that are fighting. (More Information could be found at the site that I have on my profile as my main webpage. ) So that's pretty much whats going on right now and the main plot. So you can really think of it as D just carrying on with his way of finding his past but gets side track from jobs.. adventures that call for him to help with other peoples problems or whatever job they can afford to pay D to do [Which could be a good way to also give character development and meet probably others that would join him in his main quest]. I do hope though that helps a little with your questions if any and maybe still catch your interest. I can also give out a little more, but I'm trying to keep things in the dark still =P I wouldn't want to give away too much and all the fun. Other than that, Just leave a response if your interested and we can take it from there ![]() And again, Any questions at all or probably remarks just send me a Private message or you can post them here. List of Races: Humans – Major population of Fala’Duul and is probably the only race that can out number all the rest. Most of the humans have made homes as far as they have been able to out of the reach of the Vlian Sieges to the south and east. Elves (High Elves, Woodlyn & Night) – Very Little of the numbers known to be left on the Continent Though still some are said to be hiding in the “supposedly” ruin capital of Silmataurea. Others say that they took refuge in the middle lands of Fala’Duul, which is a forbidden thick forest. Very little could be said about their history because of the fact that they are almost being driven out to hiding from the Siege of the Vlain’s trying to over take the Continent and just simply want no part of it. But is there more to the true reason why? Drows – The real number of the Drows in Fala’Duul are mostly in Vlian and the major populations of them are in the Dark Lands in the Northwest. Though they come from the Islands that are to the far west; they were said to be outcastes before the start of the War that took place 200 years ago by the High Elves. But there is a rare number of the few Drows that have turned away from the battle field and wars that have been stretching out right now and some of them have even found a different way of life in the far countries of Caran and the Merchant Metropolis Naduin. Dwarfs – They are very secluded and stay out of the affairs of the neighboring Kingdom’s and their lands. They are settled in the High Mountain range to the Northeast and are very well separated from the outside world because of those mountains. Though still, there are a good number of them that do live in the other Kingdom’s especially in the Caran Empire region. But some have even ventured as far as Thalion, the Port City of Cairbara and the Merchant Port Metropolis of Naduin. Fairies – Fairies are probably the rarest of the rare in the lands of Fala’Duul. The most number of them that could be reported is the ones that dwell in the forbidden middle lands, in the Arthal. Very little could be said about them because of the truth that they don’t show themselves to anyone, as far as human gossip goes. Anthro Creatures – (Felines, Dragons, Wolves, and Lizards) The Anthro people are more of a tribe like people that live in the desert lands of Vilnask and in the Lost Hills north of the Caran Empire. Though as far as rarity goes, Dragon Anthro’s are said to be very secretive creatures that mostly live down to the south islands of Tolea’Fuu. It was said that the Dragon Race were the true power of the Southeastern area thousands of years ago and ruled the region with a much relative control like the Vlian’s do today. But due to the downfall of their Royal line, they lost themselves in civil war that nearly wiped them out completely. Now it’s known that there are few that serve under the Lord of Vlian… Why? It’s unclear. ( If only else has any ideas or maybe an idea of another race they might like to bring up just let me know. )And I'm still working on everything too and I'll have the list of the Minor characters and the possible characters that people might want to take up. -Hurries back to working on it, wearing a bandana on his head saying "FIGHT!"- Edited by The Wanderer D, 29 Nov 2008, 09:08 PM.

Are you looking for multiple participants, or someone to one-on-one with? If you're wanting multiple characters into the mix, maybe you could provide a character template for people to fill out and organize their information with, depending on what it is you're wanting to know about said characters. Name, Age, Appearance, Special Abilities/Magic, etc. Also, you can advertise here if you're wanting to draw people's attention to it, and linking it in your sig is also a helpful thing. I may be interested in this as well, though I can play multiple character types depending on what is needed. And I <3 D&D, so I could cook up a D&D-esque character really quick after using the stack of books at my disposal. lol What races are you allowing for characters, just out of curiousity? Do you want to stick strictly to Human, or can we be more creative with things? Not that I play anything really out there. Mainly Half-Elves and the like, though I do have a Houri bard that might work, though she's not exactly a fighter type. Meh, many options. I've made alot of characters that could possibly work here. I'll check back when you're online to get your input, but you have my interest. ^_^v |

I definitely will put all that up here later on today I promise but thanks for the little help with trying to get this started. To be honest this is my first time really Rping on a Forum and actually trying to look for a few people. But what I can answer really quickly is the number of people I'm looking for. I am looking for... 2-4 people including myself. But I have to head to work here in like 10 minutes X_x So I'll definitely post the rest when I get back. And in advance, If you can play multi-chara's that would help and I'll get to you on that if your still interested. And a D&Dish character would really be great. And I am also looking for a Female Elf, ( Just FYI to everyone if anyone's up to that. But its sort of a big role in the story too.) But yeah I better go before I'm late again >.> .... |

Yeah, I've been RPing enough to have the ability to manage multiple characters, so I could do that, depending on what it was exactly that you needed. Characters of my own are simple, but playing out premade concepts from another GM can get tricky. I understand how sensitive such things are from my own experiences, and how depressing it can be when people mess them up because they don't completely grasp the full vision of the one who made them. I'm not sure how specific you are with this female Elf you're wanting in the mix. I'm guessing she is probably involved in the romance bit you're looking for? Not certain if I would choose to play her for you or not, since I lack the specifics on that role, if any. We'll have to wait and see, I suppose. In any case, I'll hold off on setting my sights on any of my own current concepts until I know specifically what you're looking for. I'll be waiting for your next post. lol |

Yeah sorry about that. I kind of had to get up and go this morning and I was just a minute late but sorry again about that. The Female elf, is part of the romantic part but is also one of the key's to the main character's past. But of course if you or whoever isn't comfortable with that, than its fine and that's always something I can work with if no one wants to play part of the romance. Right now I'm putting a list together of the characters in the story along with a list of the races and more in depth detail about everything else. I'll have it up by the end of the day. If anyone happens to have Yahoo Messenger (darkprince112000) of either MSN (darkprince112000@yahoo.com), you can get of me that way and we can talk through there other than filling up this thread with post =P Thanks again D Edited by The Wanderer D, 30 Nov 2008, 07:37 PM.

Great And you can play 2-4 other characters but just as long as it keeps to the stories progress. But I'm still cooping up the other characters that might need to be played. I'm just suffering from writers block right now

I'll just post again so others are made aware, but I'm currently writing up a bio for the female Elf that D is looking for, so no one needs to worry about that role. Depending on the turn out, I may make an additional character, but I'll wait to see what else we get in this campaign to fill the party with. |

It's no problem. Always willing to help, especially when I see so much potential. On another note, my bio is coming together smoothly now, so I'll definitely have it to you by tomorrow. I'll probably PM it to you first though so you can look over it and make sure the History is accurate, or if you have any other comments as the GM for me to consider. Though we can discuss all of that later over MSN. ^_^v |

Format is a little different, but I was putting this together before we had a sheet format to go by, but it's still nice and organized for the viewing pleasure of those who can survive such a massive bio. lol Name: Melyssan Amastacia Age: 132 Race: High Elf Class: Ranger Occupation: Woodland Guide Alignment: Neutral Good Racial Traits: As one of the Feyborn, Melyssan has been naturally gifted with the traits of her race. Her forest-green eyes have been blessed with Low-Light Vision, a trait in which allows her to see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. Though there may be shadow or darkness, she maintains the ability to distinguish color and detail where others would not. It is a useful thing in the forests out of the reach of the sunlight when she goes to wander, and those eyes of hers are already incredibly keen enough without that natural enhancement. Her sight and hearing are probably her most notable traits as an Elf, aside from what is to come, though it is a rarity that she makes such displays to others. As Elves are also magically inclined, she possesses a measure of her own power, though it mainly links her with the earth, allows her to hear its voice, speak with its creatures. Perhaps she would be rather adept at the use of Arcane magic, but as she has never had the tutelage for it since her earliest childhood, she lacks the full knowledge of its use. She is immune to certain magical enchantments that induce sleep, though this does not speak for the effects of potions or herbs that might do the same, and holds a stronger resilience against other enchantment spells than that of a Human. Weapons: - Composite Longbow: Made of polished off-white bone, shaped into a perpetual recurve to maintain the bow-shape even when unstrung, this bow requires a little more strength than a common longbow, though after spending many years to adapt her body to the requirements of such a weapon, Melyssan can fire arrows from this bow with ease. There is nothing particularly special about this bow in appearance, as it seems of common make with the typical materials to piece it together, strengthen it against breaking. It appears somewhat aged and roughened in certain areas along the length of the curved body, with worn brown leather wrappings around the handle and around the center-most location of each curve rounded outward and away from the sturdy material keeping the bow strung. This bow is worn comfortably against her back, along with the tan quiver holding arrows of various make, all crafted by her own hands, ranging from standard arrowhead tips to blunts. - Short Sword: Lighter that most of its other counterparts in the sword category, Melyssan’s short sword is rather basic in appearance, bearing little design nor detail to make it unique from any other in the land. Wielded single-handedly, this straight-bladed sword is generally used as an off-hand weapon for fighters, but as its wielder bears more skill in archery than physical melee combat, it will suffice as a main as she lacks the skill to use anything with more heft. Sheathed at her left side, it is wielded in the right hand when its use is necessary for close-quarters combat, though it is not out of the question for her to wield it with her Kukri in her left, used as a parrying device. - Kukri: A small weapon with a uniquely angled blade, it is slightly weighted with a short hilt and narrow blade base that widens considerably just after the most noticeable point in which the blade angles downward, the underside being finely sharpened. There is a slight triangular groove near the top of the blade’s width on either side, the sharpest point facing back towards the hilt. This weapon is sheathed securely at the small of her back. This weapon is mainly used when she cannot reach her other weapons, as it is always kept on her body for protection. She may also use it as a parrying weapon while dual-wielding, but as she is not very skilled in swordplay, it is rare that she does so. Skills: Naturally attuned to nature and the creatures within, Melyssan has the uncanny ability to understand the life around her, be it plant or animal. Wild Empathy was what it had been inevitably referred to in her case. Her affinity for the Wild allows her to travel effortlessly through forest terrain as she is most familiar with it above any other, and she is an extraordinary tracker. With her knowledge of nature exceeding that of most others due to her long years of life and her first-hand experiences out within the green, Lyssa is familiar with many types of plans and herbs, both healing and poisonous, making her a skilled herbalist as well. A useful thing when living alone when one becomes ill and needs a remedy to suppress or remove hindering symptoms. For meager wounds, however, she is also familiar with basic first aid, but nothing too elaborate. As a Ranger, she is also skilled in stealth and survival. Hiding and sneaking are often times key while on the hunt, and while she doesn’t favor taking the lives of living creatures, she has come to understand that it is a necessity at times, even if she does feel a measure of sorrow after the kill. Trekking over forest terrain silently and without notice, using the lay of the land for camouflage or cover... These are things a Ranger must know, aside from her use of the bow, which is also remarkable with her steady aim and keen Elven eyes. With her skill, it is simple for her to fire multiple arrows at once, or fire a single arrow in rapid succession towards her target. Spells: - Entangle: A very useful spell for those who trek the woodlands. With a spoken chant and the swift and precise motion of at least one free hand, the verbal and somatic components weave together this spell to bring nearby weeds, bushes, and other greenery to life to entrap living creatures within a radius up to 40-feet in the targeted area. The control over the plant life can for only a short duration, a few minutes at best, and while it can completely stop some creatures altogether, others who have luck at their side can continue to move at half their normal speed. Any additional effects of this spell are determined by the nature of the plants manipulated in the spell, for example: Spiked plants may cause piercing damage to those they entangle. - Summon Nature’s Ally: This spell, also cast through Verbal and Somatic components, summons a creature from the surrounding area to come to Melyssan’s aid and act on her behalf, whether it be for combat or some other mundane task. The spell increases her natural empathy with wildlife to influence the creature’s sympathy better than normal, gaining that creature as a companion for a temporary extent of time. Creatures affected by this spell can range from rodents, birds, reptiles, beasts... Whatever is native to the current area and will not otherwise feel hostility for her as her consciousness reaches out to search for that temporary companion in the wild. - Cure Light/Medium Wounds: By using her natural affinity to magic, Melyssan can channel positive energy through her hands to mend minor wounds and those just under severe. Calling the spell requires a whispered string of words that is otherwise unintelligible to the ears of those unfamiliar with the language of magic, along with a swift gesture of a free hand before it is placed upon the body of those in need of healing. The magic stops bleeding, seals wounds, corrects and mends broken bones... For more severe injuries, however, the power can only mend so much before it becomes useless, as serious and critical wounds are too far beyond the limitations of this spell. - Wind Wall: With a whispered yet powerful chant and focused gesture of a slender hand, Melyssan summons the force of the air to create a vertical curtain that is a two-foot thick wall of raging wind that can stretch up to twenty feet long and ten feet high. It is a roaring blast of air that can blow away winged creatures in flight, tear light materials out of unsuspecting hands and provide a sufficient barrier between her and ranged attackers. Small creatures cannot pass through the wall of wind, and medium sized creatures can, but at a measure of difficulty. Arrows and bolts are deflected upward and away while other ranged weapons suffer their own miss chance. Appearance: A Dream to Come Slender and lithe, much like a good portion of the women of the Elven race, Melyssan is somewhat short-statured, reaching a height of 5’4. Her body is soft, but toned in the right areas to speak of years of activity, be it training with archery, wandering the woodlands while communing with nature, or completing more mundane tasks around her cottage to keep it maintained. Despite such tasks, her slender hands bearing long and graceful fingers have remained smooth and uncallused, as though gifted with such perfection by her Elven heritage, which is made quite clear to observers by her dramatically pointed ears that make her origins quite unmistakable. At her current age by human standards, she has reached over the one-hundred year mark, living a lifetime longer than man, yet still retaining her youth, bearing a look that could compare to a human woman who is nearing or has reached her twentieth year. Her oval-shaped face may not be as narrow as others of her kind, but it is angled in that familiar Elven way, set with soft pink lips often upturned into the faintest of smiles, and a pair of wide and rounded emerald eyes, the shade of which reminding onlookers of the deepest forests, so wild and green. Framing that face and those eyes are silken strands of white-blonde hair that shimmers in the sunlight, carrying an oddly natural scent of leaves in each lock like a subtle perfume. The smooth and straight locks fall just past her curvy hips, longest in the center and shortening in length outward. The shortest strands on the outer sides of her hair fall easily over her slender shoulders, framing her face in layers as soft bangs rest lightly against her brow. The pale shade of her hair does little to alter the perception of her smooth and unblemished skin tone, as it always remains a healthy shade of peach, barely tanned as most of her time outdoors is spent under the cover of trees and green, blocking the direct sunlight and allowing only a small amount to filter down through the canopy. While Lyssa may dream of herself dressed in fine clothes of the purest of fabrics, decorated with lace, feathers, beautiful gems, the reality of her situation is commonly known and accepted the moment she comes out of her four-hour Trance each morning, as Elves do not require sleep. Dressing her slim body are worn leathers of common make, far from the rich garb of royalty she dreams of on certain nights, as though remembering what was and what could have been. Her standard apparel includes a tight leather bodice colored a rich shade of brown, laced up the front to the square-cut neckline as the wide straps fit snugly over her shoulders. Beneath this leather garment, a thin white tunic is worn, the off-the-shoulder neckline exposing a portion of her skin as the sleeves drop off down her upper arm, held as they are by the tight leather if the brown vest around her arms. The white shirt has the consistency of cheese-cloth, somewhat sheer when held against the skin, and nearly translucent when damp, though she has little to fear while she wears that bodice over it, and even then, the slightly ruffled neckline of the shirt peeks out above that leather neckline to hide any cleavage from view, meager as it may be from her less-than-ample bosom. The sleeves of that thin white shirt are long and puffy, held at the wrists through simple cuffs that are held closed by a single white button. With her slender waist accented by the tightness of the brown bodice, fitted with deep green lacing up the front, her shape curves out nicely to a layered skirt of sorts. The skirt itself seems to be made of a lower layer of deep green material, very sturdy but flowing as it reaches the center of her thighs, while the outer layer covers the sides and rear of her completely with a length dropping just above her knees. With a slightly triangular stretch of leather at the top of the skirt, having a folded-over appearance as it drops slightly over the center of her legs, the brown leather parts in an upside-down V to display the front of the green skirt beneath it. To finish the rather common set of apparel, Lyssa wears a pair of soft leather knee-high boots, also in brown, on the lower part of her slender legs. Lyssa possesses no particular trinkets or jewels to decorate herself with. Her long ears are free from piercings, her fingers bear no rings as a display of wealth or marriage, and her graceful throat is decorated with a simple and thin string of dark leather, wrapped loosely around the neck twice before settling in a simple bow over the collarbone. She does, however, bear a star-shaped birthmark on the back of her right shoulder; somewhat faint, but noticeable when up close to her from behind. Personality: There are some signs that can tell others when a person is of noble origins. For some, it is the trait of arrogance, the belief of complete superiority over their peers. For others, it is the grace and poise in one’s posture, the way they carry themselves with a measure of splendor for others to marvel at in silent awe. And on other occasions, there is the display of wealth and finery, living beyond their means. With Melyssan, however, one might never be aware until they were told, and even then, why would a commoner living out in the middle of the woods have any ties to royalty? A calm and serene young Elven woman, Lyssa is somewhat soft-spoken and kind, compassionate perhaps to a fault, and confident enough in herself that she rarely battles against doubt or depression. This does not mean that she is immune to those negative feelings, as in her extended lifetime, she has experienced loss and the sorrow that comes with the knowledge that time will always be different for her, and what seems to be a mere moment in her own life can be a lifetime in the eyes of a human. Enough time to lose that which she wished could have remained, just a little longer. She is as she is, however, and she accepts that fact despite all that she may lose when not among her own people. Living away from them as though in exile, however, has taken a bit of a toll on her mind, though no one would be able to tell, as she hides her own dilemmas well from others behind musical laughter and a mask of contentment with her life. She does not like to lie, nor does she like it when she is lied to, as she considers it a measure of betrayal, undermines her integrity and the importance she might bear towards the person in question. She gives honesty unconditionally, and appreciates receiving the same in turn. The only thing she keeps a secret to herself, however, is her origins, the fact that she was born a princess. In terms of her past, Lyssa has to admit that it all occurred when she was a child, so naturally there are things she would not properly recall. She knows who she was born as, who her parents were, and while part of her laments her inability to live with that knowledge out in the open, she realizes that she was forced to flee for a reason, one that forbids her from exposing herself to the world today after all of these years away from her homeland. One might think she has forgotten her roots, what she owes to her people who are suffering, but living so far from her kingdom in a land of men, Lyssa is otherwise ignorant from the dealings of the Elves, her life sheltered and quiet from danger for the sake of keeping her existence a secret so that she may live another day. She meets each day as it comes to her, knowing very little in terms of regret, and enjoys spending her time out in the quiet forests, listening to the whisperings of the wind and trees, the voices of the animals, perhaps entertaining them with a quiet melody of an Elven ballad sang in a soft soprano or played through the narrow body of a mythril flute. After so many years of living without a lot of outside contact from strangers, the wild has been her only companion, her preferred sanctuary. In the presence of others, however, she is always gentle and optimistic, doing what she can to provide comfort or to help a person feel welcomed. That being said, Lyssa often acts without prejudice, feeling sympathy towards the weak, but compelled to help any person in need, no matter their origins. After all, her human “parents” were that way with her, a lone child lost in the woods. In honor of their memory, rest their souls, she could offer that same measure of kindness to those who come into her life. History: The daughter of the Elven King and his first wife who died after giving birth to her, this young Elven woman was born into the royal family as Melyssan Vadania Mel’Ilphukiir. She was a beautiful and lively child, having lost her mother too early in her life to understand that sense of loss, especially as her father had remarried after a time, giving her a stepmother to love in her birth mother’s absence. Lyssa, called such by her father, Ivellios, was the apple of that man’s eye and could want for nothing. She received the finest clothing, the most beautiful trinkets, and was allowed a little more freedom than the typical noble child, but still kept in line to a degree to remain the lady she was meant to become as she aged. In truth, it was said the king was so happy with his daughter because she looked so similar to his late wife, a living and breathing sign of his beloved’s existence before her death. Lyssa’s mother, the beautiful Anastrianna, would be made proud in the afterlife by their daughter’s fine life. When her new stepmother, Qilatthe, came into their lives, her father remarrying out of necessity rather than love, the child thought she could finally have that missing piece put into her life, to experience the joys of having a female influence in her life outside of her maidservant. It was not to be so. Qilatthe was a haughty and vain woman, favoring extravagance above all things, though she wore a mask of compassion for all to see when gathered, influencing the favor of others and claiming it for herself. Perhaps too accustomed to being the center of attention, the elder Elf was not entirely prepared to face the love many had bore for the child princess, and she soon found herself frustrated at the fact that she felt she had to compete with the beauty of a child of all things. True, that she treated the girl kindly in the presence of others, painting on that mask of sickeningly sweet love and adoration of her husband’s daughter, that silver tongue of hers always found ways to belittle the princess, casually mocking the child’s intelligence or grace. Soon, she was certain that she could bear the King a son, a true heir that would steal the favor from the first-born daughter and reduce her to naught more than a breathing ornament in court. To her utter dismay, however, Qilatthe never conceived. As Elven years stretch on longer than that of a Human, Lyssa was still a child after many years had passed to make normal children pass through the first few stages of life, and as this child, it was when tragedy had struck. Her beloved father, having fallen ill to a sickness the royal physicians could not treat or remove, passed away, leaving the child alone as she found herself in line for the throne so soon in her life as the King’s only blood heir. There were some who did not wish for this to be, unfortunately, and the child’s life became constantly in jeopardy, protected against hostile attempts on her life. Those remaining with fierce loyalties to their fallen King had their suspicions, their thoughts of conspiracy, but such things were kept to themselves. It did not take long, however, before enough was enough. An older Elf that the little princess favored in her father’s service, a male guard by the name of Soveliss, decided it was time to help the child flee. Should she stay, she would only meet her end under the blade of an assassin, after an unknowing sip of poison in her drink, the bite of a venomous creature carefully placed within her bedchamber during the night... The world beyond their lands would be treacherous and unknown to her, but weighing the odds, her chances away from the homeland were higher. Packing up the child in the middle of the night, allowing her to take only a small number of items, and nothing that could be identified as a possession of the Mel’Ilphukiir royal family, Soveliss aided the girl in her escape. Confused as she was, she could only know very little before she was handed off to one cloaked person after another to cross Elven lands to their borders. To remove the threat of the princess from those who sought to do so themselves, her bedchambers had been set ablaze, replacing the body of the princess with that of a small cat polymorphed by magic into the form of a female child, to burn and provide a carcass for those who would no doubt sift through the debris for evidence. It must have been convincing enough, for after that, the Queen issued a proclamation to the people, revealing the loss of their beloved princess by the fire that ravaged through her room during the night, caused by the falling of a lit candle that started the blaze. From that day on, Qilatthe had gotten what she had always wanted, without the need of a son to manipulate as the throne had now become hers alone. Melyssan traveled long and far with those silent folk who implored her to keep the truth of her origins secret from anyone, that from this day forth, she could no longer be a princess if she wished to live. Though she was forced to forsake her royal title and everything that made her who she was, she would always be their princess, even if they must maintain their loyalties from afar. Until it is understood what force was at work against her life, she must stay away, forgotten and in exile from her homeland. Being so young, Lyssa could only understand so much, and when she was left to wander near the Ereb’Rina Forest by those who could not afford to follow further and know of her whereabouts, the young girl struggled to make it through this new and strange world, where even the scent of the trees seemed somehow different. Her first true communion with nature was had within this dense forest of leaf and tree, her voice reaching the flowers and branches, the creatures wandering nearby, imploring them to give her direction. Led by the whispering wind, the beckoning gaze of a red fox, the exiled princess wandered, her small hands pushing aside green as her feet carefully avoided root and twig to keep from stumbling. While time is an allusive thing for Elfkind, it seemed to stretch forever for this girl, until she came upon a young Human man on the hunt with his bow. All sign of her guides of nature vanished at the sight of him, and upon noticing the lost Elven child, somewhat filthy and worn after her trek through the forests, the man rushed her home to the small cottage he shared with his wife. They were a young pair, having recently reached their twenties and married just outside of seventeen. The man, Roland, was a ranger who made a living for them by hunting wild game, selling the meat and the furs in the nearest town, while his wife, Esmé, grew herbs and vegetables, both for their own consumption and to sell for coin. They had no children despite the few years they had been married, and when told by the child that her parents were dead, they chose to take her in as their own. After all, it would be good practice for a time when they had their own child, and they would not turn away such an innocent child in need of their care. She grew as their child, doing as she was told by Soveliss and others to keep her identity secret. The years wore on, with her human parents aging while she did very little, and she learned the ways of the ranger from her “father” while Esmé taught her of gardening and herbalism. She was astute in learning, picking things up quickly and without fail, at times surpassing her human father when it came to woodland knowledge, accuracy with the bow and empathy with all things nature. After some time, the pair finally had their own child, a little girl named Teresa. She caught up to Lyssa quickly in terms of appearance as an adolescent, following the steps of their mother as a gardener and quite a wonderful cook. She would make a wonderful wife for a man once she came of age. It was to be expected that Melyssan would outlive them all, bearing the sorrow of the loss of her human family to old age while she still remained outwardly young, barely a teenager by the standards of her race. But she was able to watch their children grow, and their children’s children, the family continuing in the nearby village for generations to come unless they left to make a life elsewhere. Part of her found a measure of happiness at being “Auntie Lyssa” to her line of nieces and nephews, but she still kept to herself in the house of her human family from long ago. How long had it been now... Somewhere over a hundred years or so, and there she remains alone, maintaining the little cottage by herself and making a quiet living as a guide through that forest region, as she’s had many years to know it backwards and forwards. As an additional source of income, be it money or goods to sustain herself with, she also gathers herbs to conjure various remedies with to keep on hand for those in need, delivering them to the nearby village, though she rarely asks for much, often doing such things for free in the end. She has also taken up a false surname over the years, knowing how odd it would be for a full-blooded Elf to bear the last name of human parents and aware of the chance that such an oddity might raise suspicion over her. With a false Elven surname, however, it is hoped that no one would ask any questions. There have been times when her thoughts have lingered on the curiosity of what it would be like to share the company of her own kind again, wondering what might happen if she dared to return someday, though she was specifically told not to for the sake of her safety. She has lived long enough outside Elven lands, however, to cast aside her title and live as any common young woman might without the luxuries of nobility. As she knows of no other way to live, she wouldn’t trade her experiences and the memories gained for anything in the world. |

The roleplay idea looks both promising and fun. I'll be sure to keep an eye on this and see how it develops. Based on what's already there I have a few potential characters/ideas in mind. |

I wish I can present the current plot in a much more better way but this is the best I can do for right now to get this Rp the Green Light. Spoiler: click to toggle Right now, the main character that’s known only by D, is on a foreign country and continent named Ainulindale; that is probably 1/3rd of the size of Fala’Duul. The continent itself is to east that’s a week travel by boat from Fala’Duul’s eastern ports. Ainulindale is in just much turmoil though in a different situation because of the current holder of the thrown, Queen Qilatthe. She has up taxes for the last hundred years in a slow up-climb to now a day making where there is much poverty that has taken the whole continent. The Kingdom of Laelithar is the Royal Castle that sits to the north of the continent, being the only real power of a nation in Ainulindale. But also in its walls are countless number of people that are in rebellion to the current Queen’s rule and thievery to constant outbreaks of raids to the storage houses and farms are committed. Everyone trying to just survive. This also is the reason why there are some Mercenary Elves that have broken off from their homeland to be more like pirates of incoming trades from Fala’Duul and possibly else where. Taking what they can to give back to the people. Now to the south, its not too much of a problem but the ordeal is still there as well. What was once just an Elven military but now also humans to keep order of the south regions as well. But even they are sometimes ignored for their supplies and treated less than just common grunts in the army. The only real peace though anyone could find on this place is its own villages and small towns that work together with crops, trading materials and food. But even still, there are times that they have to pay for their taxes as well which is always the problem for them and everyone else. The real question is though on everyone’s mind… is just when will this every change? Who would make a change in a rule of a tyrant that is nearly immortal? But at the sametime that this is going on, there is more behind the scenes of everything that happens, and that especially goes for the pursuers behind D as well that take part in the turmoil of the land. Will D get somehow involved? Spoiler: click to toggle |

If you're still looking for players I'm highly interested in this RP. And if you still want some ideas on other races, here is a race from my book that I call Acolytes. Acolytes were once human, but they cast aside all basic human essentials and lived only as shadows of humanity, driven by their desire for knowledge. There is a period of unrest of the Acolytes from when they first begin the religon at a young age to their pilgrimage and finally into Masterhood. Each Acolytes in training decides early in their life on what field they would love to go into and study it intensely, they have no needs for other branches of life. Masters hone each trainee carefully, making sure they don't kill themselves and when the time is ripe for each trainee to begin their pilgrimage, they say words highly reminiscant of Death and mourning. On the pilgrimage each acolyte in training becomes perverted, their very being shapes and takes on a brand new form, their mind becomes savage, their power skyrockets, most turn to blood-thirsty demons with a gutwrenching desire for destruction. Most demons are killed, however. If an acolyte can regain control over his mind, an ordeal that far underestimates mere thought and action, they in turn become a Master. The average percent that becomes a Master is less than .1 per every ten years. As a Master, they can choose to remain in the village they grew up in, or cast away all ties to their previous life and extend their knowledge into all of the world as researchers, or whatever else they choose to become. |

Wow that's actually a great idea for another race. Thanks, I'll definitely put some thought into that and probably give it a region that its well known to be a popularity. But if you want, you can contact me on MSN or Yahoo and we can talk about it then.
