Project Frontier; Has anything been happening since it was open-sourced?

I'm not sure this is the right place for this topic, but here goes.

When Shamus originally released Project Frontier's source code, there was a lot of activity and discussion about it. Now, it has been a while since there has been any mention about it on Twentysided. I am just kind of curious if anything has happened since then. I tried the test build that was helpfully posted on the Bitbucket page, and noticed that a Linux port also exists, though I haven't tried it.

My questions to everyone are: Has the tree shader problem been resolved? Does the Linux port build? Is anyone actively working on any fork of the project? What, if anything, needs to be done yet?

I remember wanting really bad to try it out and run around a gen'd world (preferably via bunnyhopping, he did have bunnyhopping right, RIGHT?).

So I downloaded the files and went about trying to figure out how to get the thing running and basically stonewalled on that.

Project Frontier really needed a 'press here to start exploring (for non-coders, because I love you guys too)' button :<
Run down the side of an exploding building: no problem - but step on a child's toy: break your bones. Wah hah! Sounds like a Chinese proverb.
