Hey guys, I'm here to bring you yet another mega thread full of tips and tricks to help you become a master of this game (I'll include links to my previous threads at the end)! Today we're going to be talking about the current community gametypes which are:

Infected
The game starts with all players being survivors. In the upper left hand corner of the screen, there is a timer that starts with nine seconds counting down to the infected. After the nine seconds, one player is randomly chosen to be infected. The surviving players must hide from and kill the infected to try and survive until time runs out. The survivors are the players who are not infected, hence the name "survivors". The survivors spawn with an unknown weapon (depending on what the custom settings are) and must survive by killing the infected or hiding. 50 points are given to survivors every time a survivor is infected. The name given with the points is "Survivor". The round ends when the last survivor is killed/infected and the new round will start pending on a new player to be infected.
However, there is a twist in public Infected. Any place where the players will be notoriously difficult to knife by normal circumstances is a 'death zone', wherein a player (including the Infected themselves) will automatically die and join the Infected (if not already). This also applied to Private Matches, but community outburst led to this being reversed in Private Matches. Notable spots include the balcony and signpost by the office in Underground, the blades of the downed helicopter in Bakarra and the van in the loading dock in Arkaden.
Another Infected variant has all the players begin as Juggernauts only armed with .44 magnums dual wielded and Scavenger but nothing else. As before, when the timer is up one player becomes the infected, and gains a Striker as well as keeping the Juggernaut suit. After one kill he loses his Juggernaut suit, but retains the Striker, as well as an XM25 and Semtexes. The Juggernauts must kill the infected; if any Juggernaut is slain he will also transfer to the infected team. The Juggernauts win if one person can hold out until the time is up; otherwise victory is forfeited and the infected win. (thanks cod wiki)

Drop Zone
In this game mode, two teams battle to take control of the 'drop zone'. As long as the drop zone is occupied, care packages are continuously dropped to aid the defending team. The drop zone is moved every 2 minutes or so. Takes 7500 points to win, and you get 20 points for each second you defend the drop zone.

FFA Gunplay
This playlist includes a small variety of free for all based games.
Gun Game Variation #1

Classic Gun Game at its finest. Cycle through an 18-gun progression including two sniper rifles to highlight the best marksman in each match.

Gun Game Variation #2

Cycle through six guns three times (no sniper rifles). Learn the 6-gun progression to best pace yourself through each wave.

One in the Chamber

Equipped with the P99 and Tactical Knife, each player starts off with one bullet, earning another for every kill. Elimination occurs after three deaths, with the final three players appearing on the mini-map to keep the action rolling.

As a new feature, eliminated players can chase survivors in spectator mode and back a winner of their choosing. You’re awarded 150 XP for each of the chosen player’s subsequent kills.

All or Nothing

A new variation of Free for All, All or Nothing was inspired directly from the community. All players spawn with the USP .45 handgun with no ammo and a Throwing Knife. The loadout includes the Hardline perk and Specialist strike package with Scavenger in the first slot. Get kills to unlock Scavenger and supply your pistol with ammo.

First I'm going to give you some tips on drop zone. It's all about playing smart and having the proper class set up.

I recommend you have a certain class set aside for Drop Zone. This is the one I use:

Primary:
L86 LSW

Prof:
Stability

Attachment:
Thermal

Secondary:
Stinger

Primary Equipment:
C4

Special: Flash Grenade

Perk slot 1: Blind Eye

Perk slot 2: Assassin

Perk slot 3: Sit rep

This class is especially good for people who want to get the sit rep perk pro, as there is usually a lot of destroyable equipment it Drop Zone. I chose the L86 LSW because it is my person favorite LMG, and it has served me well. The thermal attachment is surprisingly effective, and stability makes it easier to use. I average about 35+ kills a game with this class, and I do play objectively. Another tip is to shoot down enemy air support. You get a lot of points and it helps your team capture the objective. Just play smart, and you'll win! I recommend you don't go into this playlist alone.Don't be afraid to use those flashes either!

Alright, now we're moving on to the Infected gametype. There are a lot of tips and tricks to mastering this game mode, most of them include camping lol However, you can still be successful with out camping/hiding. Let's begin.

We'll start by going through some of the 'human' loadouts:

There's not much to say about any individual loadout, just be smart with your ammo and reloading as well. The only way to get more ammo is via Scavenger packs, which tend to be in areas of high traffic for the infected. Don't be a hero, only go out for ammo when its safe, and remember to always reload when you have the chance. John has some tips to share for infected as well:

I wanted to post this tip, It has been really helpful for me, And I know it will be for you guys.
Tired of getting killed by an Infected while reloading your Akimbo FMG9's?
Where here's the solution:
So what you want to do it's just shoot one of the FMG9's, right or left, whichever work, Shoot that one for 2-3 seconds, then start shooting both, What will happen is that you will be shooting one of the FMG9's when the other is being reloaded, that way you will never stop shooting! Well unless you run out of bullets... But you can always grab the scavenger bags =].
It is extremely helpful especially when you're facing a multitude of those annoying Infected.

If you did not really understand it, I'll link a video showing you guys how it looks like and how effective and useful it is; (Go to the minute 2:34)

Here is a youtube video of some infected spots and tips to help you out:

To help you even more, I'm going to post some pictures of the best hiding spots for online infected.

Resistance:

This area of the map is pretty good because it's harder for infected to hit you with a throwing knife up here, and there's only one entry point. If you stay moving and stay low, you should be able to rack up a lot of kills here!

Dome:

The upper level of the dome is probably the best spot on this map. Infected can only get up here by climbing up the ladders which can be easily defended. Scavenger packages are relatively easy to get on this map as long as you play it safe.

Arkaden:

The Burger Town restaurant is a very good spot to head glitch and camp. You can easily dodge throwing knives and get kills here. The only disadvantage is that it's hard to collect scavenger packs without dying, so be smart!

Downturn:

The back section of this map by the taxi is a good spot to defend, as long as you're smart about it. You defend two entry points, the street and the building. The taxi can be used as cover from throwing knives. It is especially easy to get scavenger packs in this spot as most of the fighting will be CQC (close quarters combat).

Hardhat:

This area provides good cover from throwing knives and only has two points you have to defend. There is also a good head glitch spot by the crate (will post video later). I tend to get the most kills in this area of the map. Just be careful, as infected can stealthy come in through the small pipe.

These are the maps I play on the most often, but if you want me to include some more maps, tag me in your post and let me know which map you want! I will be including videos of the spots soon.

In conclusion, a mixture of camping and moving around works best for me in infected. Hope it works for you as well!

Now on to FFA Gunplay!

These gametypes are similar to the Black Ops wager matches like One in the Chamber and Gun Game, only that you receive XP rather than CoD points. Most strategies from Black Ops carry on over to this game, and there isn't much to say other than get used to playing the gametypes! Play Gun Game in private match, or OIC. It'll help you get better online. Here's a video of some FFA Gunplay tips:

Thanks for reading, hope I helped anyone that still plays this game!
