How should I avoid problem of "vertex more than 4 bones assigned". I'm unable to avoid this even if i divide the objects to groups. Nearest vertex does not produce good results. Please help me with this. |

If you're talking about Blender, click in "Limit Total". |

The limit was already set to 4 and yet this was coming when I use nearest face.![]() Nearest vertex causes these issues as shown below. I am unable to polish this mod. See the issues in the hair, shirt and the waist cloth. ![]() Also see the vertex issues in the Asuka Hair.

you need to rig it with less than 4 different bone one each verticles that not that hard at all when that oyu who made the rig^^ also if you use 3d max you can use Advanced param -> remove weighted bones. it will clean your bone list of unused bones

There are about 100000 vertices. So don't know. I need a tutorial to avoid such issues. I did aligning and then weight transfer. But results are not good. I can't undestand without it. Also I don't have 3d max on my pc. I'm unable to install it properly. Edited by aaniishh, Feb 13 2014, 10:00 AM.

About the limit of 4 bones per vertex, as I said before you've got to click in Limit Total Spoiler: click to toggle Check that the limit is set to 4 (which is by default, if I remember well) You'll see the message "X vertex weights limited" (in this case 0 because it was already limited). About the rigging issues, there is no tutorial for that. You have to realign and try again untill you have good results. It's basically a trial and error procedure. |
