Hello everyone, Since there are several tutorials due on me here is one video tutorial with annotations to help you out, sorry no voice over. I tried many times but I either do mistakes or suddenly get blank lol but in my opinion this is much better than a written tutorial and most of the steps are explained in annotations so I hope you find it easy to follow ![]() So what is this about ? This video tutorial is about extending bones with the help of Sloth tools and Blender. We are trying achieve bigger items with proper animations so for this purpose we need to alter skeleton as well as the object itself to get what we want. For example in this tutorial I have extended the length of Sakura's headband. The old way of doing this is by simply extending the mesh alone in MISFIT3d or some other program but that will damage the animation severely, so the purpose of extending bones is to keep animations intact. Many sophisticated animations can be achieved with this, for example the recent Wrestler Chunli mod I made use modified Ken bones for front hairs animation. I made two videos, first with tutorial itself and second with the result of our work. As you can see her new headband is almost as long as her own height and still animates properly. It still has more room for extension but then it will start clipping with ground so it looks fine there. Feel free to ask questions ![]() TUTORIAL (Watch in high quality for clarity). RESULT PROGRAMS USED Spoiler: click to toggle NOTE1: Basic know how of Sloth tools and Blender is still required to follow this. NOTE2: The tutorial is applicable to both AE and SFxT. |

Your most welcome Kenji ![]() This is not exactly meant to show how weight transfer is done but if it helps you understand something about Blender then I'll be glad ![]() I'll try to make a similar video tutorial about weight transfer soon. |

@Repinscourge: Usually the grey item is caused by it doesn't have the correct material entry in emm file. To check them, open the emo file with piecemontee's SF4 Assets Explorer and choose the edited item, see its name, then open the emm file with EMMEdit to see if there is the same name entry inside the emm file or not. |
