hey, just registered to say if ur using notepad to edit the lua or emz it wont work right or crash, got it working with Notepad++, HunterK mentions to use it at the top of his post, hope this helps |

and its not working for just duplicate charaters strange, did u change both " ['localize_id_j'] =" easy to miss, also noticed in the lua if u change the vital field it does have an effect in game |

cause of missing files (like subtile, reference in movies too.) that why I used dlc char all are included or can be added |

did u add them to the "arcade_const.lua" has team info and lists called normal sf and normal tk, wit all the char codes in, also the teams have spaces for the dlc guys, going look to see if i can get the dup working in match |

in "CMN\ui\pre_battle\chara_select\cdp" the emz has cdp files named after each char code, im thinking this is what im looking for, i extracted a file and renamed the contents to the dup char code, but i need to figure out how to add it to the emz now |

I used Notepad ++ to edit them files, and now the game actually starts...but when selecting a character I cant see any of them, although I can select any of them...but if I try to choose the newly added duplicate character, the game crashes hopefully Hunterk finds out the problem and updates this

since its now possible to add character slots, does it seem likely that adding costume slots could be possible in the future? |

Ok, I'm glad others were able to make some progress on it. Yes, the intros and that kinda stuff will kill it unless you make more files. I should have mentioned that and/or made a note of it in the tutorial. I'll try to find out what all files are needed and add that to the process. Using an actual character (i.e., DLC character) seems to complicate things, probably because of rival/partner relationships and that sort of thing. However, entirely made up character codes (I used 'BBB'; no relation to bbb :P) seem to work fine here. Something I noticed that may be tripping people up: if you do a bulk rename on the dupe character's sounds it will probably find-and-replace *their* partner call, as well, which can cause a crash when you select them. For example, if I copy GKI to BBB, when I tell it to replace all instances of 'GKI' with 'BBB,' it turns GKI_CAL_GKI into BBB_CAL_BBB instead of BBB_CAL_GKI, which we actually want (i.e., to correspond with GKI_CAL_BBB in Akuma's folder). So, make sure that hasn't happened on yours, Rudi.
