I'm going to go out on a limb and say moveset swapping is still possible, you'll just need to put the swapped bac/bcm files into [install dir]\patch\CMN\battle\regulation(?)\latest(?) since I'm assuming these supersede the ones in the regular chara folders. Likewise, this will probably also allow people to apply mods without overwriting files, just like is possible in AE. |

Okay I managed to make the unlocker work but the catch is, it only works if I replace old names like "KEN" with "GUY", if I try to add new name with all previous names intact then the file gets corrupted which is pretty much obvious since you don't know where the code is getting injected. This is useless since you have to sacrifice 12 old char unlocks to make new ones work. Without source code I don't think it is possible to modify the unlocker properly. |

That's a clever workaround, anyway ![]() If ucantseeme never updates it, I'll just pick my 12 least favorite dudes and hex them out of it. |

@BrutalAce That's still better than nothing mate. Mind writing up a quick tutorial on how to do so? I take it any hex editor will do? I'll only have to switch out 4 characters anyway (ALS,ELN,SKR and CHR for some unused dudes) ![]() Thanks in advance. Edited by solarmystic, Dec 11 2012, 08:41 PM.

writing a small tutorial right now, posting in few mins. EDIT: Here is the tutorial Okay to edit the unlocker for your chosen characters follow these steps 1) Download HxD (free hex editor) or any hex editor you like, but I am using HxD in tutorial. 2) Install and run the editor 3) open the costume unlocker (exe file) in the program, just drag and drop the unlocker file in editor window. NOTE: Make sure you back up the unlocker exe first. I do that by leaving the original unlocker intact and make a copy of that on desktop then modify that copy. 4) Click on search tab and then click on find then type any old char name in the "search for" field and then click on "ok" to jump on the location where the bunch of char names are located. ![]() ![]() 5) Now write the name exactly on old names that you want to replace. For example I am replacing ASK with GUY and GUL with CHR, you don't have to select the full name like I selected ASK in 2nd pic, I only did that for highlighting. If you are replacing lets say ASK then put your cursor before "A" of ASK and then start typing. NOTE: don't overwrite the dots 6) The file should look like this after overwriting ![]() 7) Save the file (Ctrl+S). 8) Replace/overwrite the old unlocker with your new modified unlocker and then launch the game with it. NOTE: You must have 2nd and 3rd costume files in the character folder for the costumes to load otherwise you'll see game failed to load error and it will return to title screen. ![]() It's just a workaround, not a proper solution. Unfortunately the unlocker is made in some language other than DOTNET otherwise I can decompile DOTNET files and look at clean code. Guess we have to wait for the original owner to release an updated unlocker until then enjoy with the workaround ![]() Credit: KhaledAntar666 for finding the possibility of editing char names using hex editor. |

Cool bro, in the meantime this is the only way to use other costumes. If I ever find the costumes for dlc chars, I will post them here. |

Great work BrutalAce, keeping this thread bumped. (Why is this thread not stickied yet?) EDIT:- Tried it myself with Elena and Christie, works wonderfully. I swapped out BOB, HUGO, OGRE and PAUL for the 4 new ladies. EDIT2:- Great success. Edited by solarmystic, Dec 11 2012, 09:47 PM.

Y'all do realize that to use those costumes, all that is really necessary is just renaming and copy-pasting of their files Just sayin' Edited by Pooltastic, Dec 11 2012, 10:13 PM.
