@BrutalAce & Khaled: About the proper way of preventing same emo crashing issue, I once asked e107, This is my question to him " "About this matter, as you know, in character select screen before battle, when we move the cursor to one character, at that time the game store his/her costume emo into memory (RAM). What I want to know is it possible to disable this function by doing this: We attach program to monitor and locate the address of this function, and then somehow freeze this address to make the game can't do it again and force the game to always read the costume emo from the disk each time we move the cursor." And this is his answer: "I am not very good at programming. Lock a value may be able to do, but you want to use the 80x86 assembly instructions read the hard drive file, I can not do that. Perhaps it is easy for the experts, it's just hard for me" If only we have someone here that work as programmer, we can have him look at this matter. |

Yes bro, I spent so many days trying to figure this out in emo but everytime ended with crash when I change something, the shitty thing is hidden somewhere and we can't find it ![]() EDIT: @Robhal I am a programmer bro but a web programmer mainly. The thing he is talking about is application programming and reverse engineering by reading the compiled code, unfortunately it's mostly beyond my expertise We need someone who have experience with compiled assemblies like Sloth. He wrote his applications by understanding the structure of emo/emm/emb files.

if only Sloth86 was still active, I'm sure he could easily find a way to solve the problem |

Maybe you have a programmer friend that can help you in this, bro? I think the problem isn't with the emo file, but with executable file.

I'll see if I can find someone in my circle, the person should also be fond of gaming to get interested in this otherwise reverse engineering is one hell of a boring task

@Khaled: I mainly want Sloth to return, because I want him to share the tool that can inject animation bone to other character emo. @BrutalAce: I hope you find the person, bro

@Robhal & Khaled I didn't told you guys because the lead was totally unhelpful but I actually found a guy on steam chat who was quiet proficient in editing SFxT files, I got him when DLC costumes were released and he was trying to contact moddah so they can work on them together but instead I contacted him and told him that I already started the backport work, he then told me that he actually created six costume slots without character duplication method and also unlocked DLC colors etc before e107's unlocker was released. I asked him very nicely to tell me a couple of things so I can do this myself but mostly he was not telling me anything and saying that he considers this piracy and he only did this for himself EDIT: I just don't understand this shitty "I did this for myself" behavior, recently the XNALara modder KamsonX is also showing a lot of models (as pictures) and saying that he either send them to his friends or keep it for himself, I say if you have discovered something useful why not share it with the community ? what's the point of saying that it's for myself ? bunch of retards

@ Robhal : The tool that can inject animation bone to other character emo will solve everything and no need to go further ![]() @ Ace : I knew a lot of people like that when I was modding SF4 vanilla, selfish and stupid |

@Khaled: You're absolutely right bro That tool will solve everything, including the same emo crashing issue, because we don't need to use other character emo again.@BrutalAce: That's why I like in here. All people share everything

@Khaled - I will give method 2 a try. I was hesitant about trying it since I was afraid of losing Asuka's face when I reshape it to Sakura's, but I will give it a try . Monkeygigabuster built Jun on Asuka which was a good choice since Jun and Asuka have the exact same moveset, and they look similar since Jun is Asuka's Aunt :).@brutalAce - I guess my workaround wasn't as good as I thought . It still solves the crashing for 2 different skeletons, so that's still something atleast. I have spent days trying to find out a fix for the same emo crashing, this workaround was the best I could do. I could continue to try again but I doubt I can succeed since it will be random guessing with a hex editor, but doesn't hurt to try. I could make 2 versions, a compatible and semi-compatible version, but I will try Khaled's method 2 first ![]() @robhal - I tried googling sloth86 a long time ago to see if I could find some site that had his email so I could contact him to ask about it, I found an email on some random site, but might not have been him. Didnt get a response from the email. ![]() Edited by bbb, Jun 3 2013, 02:54 PM.
