Very lazy, such slow, wow.

FINALLY HERE! So, while working on somethings I found out that Ill be able to publish a new version a lot earlier, if I dont add an AI. So we will get multiplayer right away, but no AI. In addition to that, I think dumping status updates into an old thread does not make too much sense. Even if that old version did not even reach 1.0... MOVING ON, I found out that Dropbox is a good hosting service for static content, so: here it is. YOU NEED:
Some basic info on how the game works now:
Key Codes for the "controls" subclass: Spoiler: click to toggle WEAPONS GUIDE Spoiler: click to toggle KNOWN BUGS: Color code: Might become a feature, Not solved, Working on, Fixed in the next version, Applied as a hotfix (current version) Spoiler: click to toggle CHANGE LOG: Spoiler: click to toggle

Yeah, you are having the same problem everyone is having, and something I should have thought of before implementing multiplayer first. Due to budget cuts (or never having had one) you have to host a server yourself if you want to play the game. Even if you are the only one playing (which does not make sense since there are not bots). Also, localhost is what you connect to when your hosting a server locally :). And the fact that I am still using that GUI is because I didnt know you had a new one. I am always open to new sprites. |

So how do I play the game if I can't connect to a server? Don't know how to host a server myself. Is there single player or something I can use? Also, I sent you a ton of GUI stuff, so use that in the next release pls. |

Bumping. Want this on front page so potential programmers new to the forum don't need to go digging or be linked to by someone else every time. |

Basically: The connect buttion does function, you just have to tell it which server to connect to (the empty button, I didn't have a separate sprite for that). However, I'm sure that you saw the dialog in the beginning where you selected to run a client instance. Just launch it once more and select server that time. Then you can connect to "localhost". I should make a tutorial... I really thought it was obvious. First start the game (click launcher.exe) twice and select "Server" on one and "Client" on the other. Spoiler: click to toggle Then click the button "Connect" in the new Window and enter "localhost" into the text field (which looks like an empty button) Spoiler: click to toggle Then click connect. If this doesn't work then you followed the instructions incorrectly. Edited by Kosmos, 21st May 2016 - 09:52 PM.
