I decided to stick with the old Sentinels GUI for now. So you're going to have to look at the old scoreboard artwork for a while. Anyways, this map is called The Hive. It is a location which is very significant to the campaigns and the story. You'll get to read the history of this place when I finish writing out the campaign plot.I designed new explosions using the coffee stain effect in Gimp. I know it's cheap, but holy crap does it look good after everything's finished. Gameplay: Yellow battles green. Cruiser charges through the cave occasionally, roadkilling people and dropping power-ups. Terrain: The speciality of this map is that there is at least one pit per game which leads to death. Another new feature is that this map supports multileveled bunkers. Other than that, the terrain is very bumpy and there are many rifts and hills. There is also a cieling which I should put closer to the ground. Most of the pits are filled with water, and water constantly showers from holes in the cieling. Winning: The mud cave becomes unstable during the battle, and after ten minutes, a shower of mud coming from the cieling, burries the whole place, and everybody dies. The team which end up with the most points wins. Art: ![]() Poll Results: Spoiler: click to toggle

Holy shit, I can't believe this art still exists. Uhh, yeah, I also forgot that I wanted a freakin SHIP to fly through the cave and kill everyone on occasion. At this point, I really don't know what to suggest for this map. It's a REALLY old suggestion (just like a lot of the recent things you've dug up). |

Well I haven't been to a party in a while, so I suppose that until my next party, I am simultaneously tons of fun and no fun at all. I just figure that a ship falling from space and killing everyone isn't really a good ending for a match. There must be a reason that two teams of sentinels are fighting, and upon destruction of everyone, neither team has really gained anything. Everyone loses. I'm looking at it more from a story perspective than gameplay, because in reality, no one gives a shit. Edited by Aoloach, 15th September 2016 - 09:08 PM.

instead of a ship, why not have killable AI drones that spawn and scale the top of the cave that perform the same functions as the ship (dropping power-ups, attacking, etc...)? |

Could make like a new device, like a massive drilling machine rolling through. From repeated passes however the cave walls weaken, which causes it to collapse after the resources are mined. |

It's an idea: we don't necessarily need to have a similar substitute for the Lost ship? Compared to all of the other AI units, a big drilling machine does seem a tad out of place, though. Polls appended; 48hrs Edited by Blackout, 19th September 2016 - 06:34 PM.
