A beautiful initiative of solidarity even from the distant California. Some San Francisco's restaurants tomorrow december 8 will donate part of their profits to the victims of the cyclone.

I have to admit that the enormous solidarity that we are receiving from all over the world by common people because of this disaster was totally unexpected, I am really touched. On the contrary according the last news the italian goverment is cheating about the funds for the construction of bridges, destroyed infrastructure and assistance to the homeless that it had promised to give to Sardinia, neither the few 27million € are available, though the damages of the cyclone are estimated around 1billion of euros. |

I don't see the news negatively. It's better if the italian state remains at a safe distance from Sardinia. The risk that some italian corrupted entrepreneur in relation with some important politician could infiltrate and access to the contracts for the reconstruction is unfortunately a potential problem. We know that the public funds will serve to enrich the usual unscrupulous speculators. |

Unfortunately, it has already happened few years ago with the planning of G8 summit, that had to be hold in La _Maddalena, when Sardinians were completely ousted from the project, to make way to many corrupted businessmwn from the Italian peninsula, close to important exponents of the central government, which have ruined everything. 6 suspects questioned in Sardinia bridge collapse![]() TEMPIO PAUSANIA, Italy, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Italian authorities said Thursday they are investigating six people in connection with a bridge collapse that killed three people in November, officials said. The suspects, all of whom have technical posts, may be charged with manslaughter and failure to prevent injury and damage for the collapse, Italy's ANSA news agency reported. The Monte Pinu bridge on the north end of Sardinia island collapsed Nov. 18 during torrential rains. The heavy rainfall and resulting floods killed 16 people on the island and displaced thousands of others. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2014/01/16/6-suspects-questioned-in-Sardinia-bridge-collapse/UPI-25261389895305/ |
