The council departed fairly quickly after Ebil's display. They were murmuring to themselves, but a silent battle had been won. Although none of them were entirely content with the hand of another Underworld creature in the midst of the Formors, none were willing to risk the Princess' life in turn with a lesser being that they could have supplied.

As the last of the council members filed from the room, Valeron sat back in his chair with a sigh. Without turning to look at the man standing just behind him, he inquired, "I realize that you have arrived on the Upper Plain just minutes ago, but I assume that your superiors thoroughly informed you of the stipulations of this assignment? An Unbreakable Vow is a very.. serious matter, and one that will alter the duration of the rest of your life. My daughter is an immortal just as you or I, but still just as susceptible to a fatality, should your falter at your duties." He paused, turning to face Ebil, "Speaking in plain terms, you still have time to back out, as well as ask any questions about the other specifications required."

Pushing himself forward in his seat, he rose, slowly turning towards the humanoid demon.

"i have been told of everything that is required of me, and fully accept any and all stipulations without hesitation. The only thing that i can request is that i can meet her, and get to know her before she finds out any information about this mission, tell her i am a guest from a foreign land or something of the sort. Im thinking that things may be a bit more..simple..if i can get close to her, perhaps she will trust me and let me in."

Lord Valeron nodded, "I must put in a word of caution, however." He paused, "Perhaps I should rephrase that. A word of warning would be the better term. Venicci.. Is most certainly her mother's daughter. She is highly headstrong and even though the pact will have been made, I doubt that she will accept this endeavor with very much of a relish."

Valeron tilted his face upward. Although he was unnaturally tall, Ebil's head rose a good foot above his own. "There is a fairly strong possibility that she will make efforts to evade you, and despite your various strengths and abilities, she has many of her own."

Reaching down into the folds of his robes, he pulled out a pair of small amulets, two skulls carved out of what appeared to be bone, both varnished with a shining amber substance. Something about them thrummed with power.

Valeron lifted the larger of the two necklaces, attached to a chain of black metal, and held it out for Ebil to take, "These are homing amulets, the enchantment spun by I myself. The other one I will give to her as a gift."

He continued, "As long as the two of you wear them, you will always be able to find her, and eventually, she you. You will always feel an instinctual pull to wherever she is, or you can visually scry her with a simple scrying spell, using the same amulet as your medium. Although neither Incubi or Sirens may be scried in a traditional sense, if this necklace remains around her throat and keeps in contact with her flesh, you will see her."

Random sidenote:

I imagine Ebil's voice to be like Kevin Drevioux's (black werewolf guy from Underworld)

Ebil nodded and took the amulet from Lord Valeron, clasping the chain around his enormous neck. "i have no doubt that she has outstanding powers, nor do i have any doubts that she will be using those powers to evade me. She is whimsical, and wants to take on the world, or perhaps she is just seeking to rebel against you sir. But no matter the cause of her wanting to flee the life she leads here to pursue the dangerous endeavors that this land has to offer, she will have quite the hard time slipping away from me."

Venicci frowned, glancing from the doorway of her room and up the hallway toward the main hall. The ceilings rose high above her and peaked like the rafters of a cathedral, with columns of black granite at either side supporting the wide frame.

She took a step out onto the white marble floor, the sound echoing up and down the expanse of the open area. It was quiet-suspiciously quiet not only for the time of day, but for the contents of the castle itself. The Royal Court always frequented the vast network of these castle walls no matter the time of day, and even now, not a footstep could be heard, even to her heightened sense of hearing.

Glancing once back and forth, she stepped out and quietly closed the door behind her, the edge of her long violet dress trailing on the floor. She hated the feminine garb, but she gathered that the welcoming of her return would me a more formal event and a plain tunic and leather pants would not be looked upon kindly. She pulled uncomfortably at the ebony corset cinched at her waist and checked the braid in her indigo hair in the reflection of a suit of armor.
She was decent enough, minus the worn boots on her feet that few would notice unless they bothered looking close enough.

The halls were almost haunting, like remnants of a dream from long ago. Granted, it had been over a decade since she last walked them, but there was a certain eerie familiarity that clung to the ornate columns and ceilings.

She headed down a narrow sidehall and down a circular flight of stairs. Though the main hall would have been faster, she did not want to run into anyone she might know, and considering the situation, everyone would know who she was.

Slipping through another corridor and down another flight of steps, she darted across the main entryway and to the huge wooden double doors of the throne room. The crest of the Formors was inset in a bright red arycite, glowing faintly against the dark wood. Taking a breath, she waved a pale hand toward the entryway, the double doors groaning as they slowly opened inward on themselves.

Her heartrate rose as a pillar of bright light broke through the space that now opened before her, widening till it flooded the floor with the light from the hall. She squinted, her eyes focusing. The hall extended a good one-hundred yards down across the central black stone table, eventually curving to a small set of stairs that put the throne and it's counterparts a few feet higher than the rest of those seated. It was there, just below the painting of a beautiful siren holding a blue-haired child that her father sat. He looked just as she remembered from ten years ago. Her memory was fogged from the previous night, but everything from the flawless skin at the corners of his golden amber eyes down to his warm smile remained the same as it always had.

Venicci straightened, casting her eyes around the rest of the room. It was fairly empty, save for a few servants rushing around to clear the tables from what looked like a meeting held earlier on in the morning. It was then that her eyes locked on to a hulking figure standing not far behind her father's throne. His shoulders were massive-correction, his entire person was, and there was a certain darkness that seemed to carry on the air around him, much like that of her father's, and for that matter, the same darkness that permeated the air around she herself.

He was the creature of the Underworld.
Suddenly, he locked eyes with her. They were an intense crimson that seemed to hold her gaze as if she did not quite want to look away. Shaking her head, she broke the contact, returning her eyes to her father. Slowing her walk, she stopped just before the stairs that led up to where Valeron sat. She curtsied, bowing her head, "..father."
