Reality is impregnated with death. Its through this misterious event that the cosmos celebrates its own renovation. This eternal dance of energy resembles the movements of life in its struggle to survive – Death is life. There is awe, there is humility, there is courage and there is mystery. In this realm we need to know our place. A kind of active submission, where you allign yourself with the forces that transcends you. In this approach there is a estabishment of a direct connection to the source, which infuses the being with vigor, humor and honesty. Hapiness. Struggle. Life. Death. Every night i look up in the sky and i see death, violence, harmony, chaos, beauty, peace and my own dumbness. The limitations of human perception are magnified by the contemplation of death. Everything that surpasses the logical formulation of reason is a kind of impossibility. I know, but i do not know. I am alive, yet i do not live. I am contradiction! But in a magical step towards liberation, i see everything, the mind shuts down and i remain there, with eyes on the secluded mysteries of life and death. That is conciousness – an exercise in the ability to see through the unknown. When i'm alone, i am the solitude. There is a kind of innocence in it. When alone, i am detached: pure energy revealed through a smile. I fly and behold...the quietness, the silence and the vastness of the void – the magical side of our reality. Independence is my muse. |

Lovely write. When I was about 40 I was working on a computer tender process in the office when all of a sudden I saw the whole of the earth and all the life in it. Life was emerging, growing to full power and beauty, then collapsing and disappearing back into the earth. I watched it for, I don't know how long but it has lived with me ever since. I realised at that point the wonder of birth, growth and death and the essential nature of life. The part I remember most was the vivid colours of it all and the tight integration (whilst totally separate) of nature. I have seen human death a couple of times and there is nothing to be afraid of, it struck me as a similar mystery to birth. Out of nothing comes life and into nothing goes death. |
