To escape you need the most ingenious plan: nothingness. Anything else would take you back to the island. |

I would be happy to help everybody else to escape, then to somehow get left behind. |

I'm really not familiar with Gilligan. What are his prime attributes? |

He is a little goofy and foolish. Arguably lovable however everyone knows that he's bad luck. He always ends up ruining each attempt to get off the island. He is supposedly sloth personified. The sin. |

In marine terms, he would be like Jonah, then. Bad news, but everyone feels a bit guilty about disposing of him. |

They got it all wrong. You don't escape from the uninhabited island, but to it! This way you move in on God, back to what is divine and away from human sin. Spend enough time in nature and something starts to happen. Without it you'll be in pain, confused and likely even sick. Spend too much time in society and your soul atrophies. |

Spend enough time in nature, and one of two things may happen: One may rape it for a needed meal, or forget entirely about one's own survival, and vanish into nature itself. |

Autumn is turning over into winter with the first frosty morning today. There's still leaves on the trees, but that's changing quickly. I go to a preserve, a beach with surrounding forests and shorelines. It's a small place, many dog owners frequent it, but it's possible to avoid the more visited trails. Most shores around are covered with stones of various sizes, in other places along the coast there are cliffs or rock. All brought there and smoothed by the ice-age and millennia of waves or downpour. I gravitate towards water and like to step/jump from one stone to the other. I can't find much of pictures or video, except for this. https://youtu.be/lDMsIQefa-g?t=20m58s It will be all snow and ice, soon, just like the video. |
