People often say "you don't provide any proof" or something of the sort. It goes that an argument isn't legit without any proof. But... The great arguments don't need to be proved. You need proof for your argument? It's a waste of effort! You/they can prove their point but it looks a little silly. Edited by crow, Jul 29 2016, 11:37 AM.

If you are trying to convince somebody of something, then you'll need proof of what you claim, as they will be only too happy to tell you. But are you really interested in convincing anybody of anything? You can offer what you know, for whatever reason you have, to offer it, but what they choose to do with it is up to them. I used to have this problem for a long time, and it really bothered me. Then I decided I really didn't care what anybody thought about anything I said. I'd done my bit, by sharing what I knew. One day, maybe, I'll see no reason to say anything to anybody about anything. I look forward to it |
