The mind is a conduit. It stands between The Divine and the earthly. An interpreter, translating all-knowledge into earthly applicable-knowledge. As designed, it needs certain conditions under which to function correctly. 1: The mind must be focused, loosely, but focused, every minute of every day, on God. 2: It's output must be trusted as correct, and acted-upon. The focus on God is its power source. This is essential to its operation. Without this focus, as you are probably well aware, it goes crazy, returning wildly unreliable information. Properly focused, the mind can be the closest thing a human has to infallibility. It interrogates The Source, and returns its decisions. These decisions are accurate and practical. They can be relied upon to be the best ones. But only if the mind is focused on The Source. There is a superior sense; this is intuition. With intellect working as designed, intuition stands above it, providing economy and speed. First, focus. Second, intuition. Third, mind. Fourth, body. Most humans will spend their lives without intuition, or with an atrophied sense of it. Even so, the mind may perform as a competent back-up, flawlessly interpreting all-knowledge into practical terms. This is good-enough, and will be the best that most can achieve. But only if the mind is focused first on God. This focus is achieved via gratitude. A thought of thanks, here and there, now and then, but habitually and naturally. Devotion. Without God-focus, you'll be well aware of what happens. No description is necessary. This is a Secret of Life. Maybe even The Secret. Is there a God? Yes. What happens after death? Eternity or oblivion. You'll require a Soul to arrive at Eternity. Without one, it's oblivion for you. How to acquire a Soul? Focus on God, every minute of every day, in as small a way as you wish, but in some way, and often. You'll know when you have a Soul. And when you do, it's plain-sailing from then on. The mind is an essential tool. But it is a tool. An organ, like any other bodily organ. It is not who you are. |
